Former Vice President Joe Biden, who calls himself “a kid from Scranton,” has lost his wide lead over President Trump in his native Pennsylvania, where the 2020 presidential race is a dead heat.
The latest Rasmussen Reports poll showed that both are tied at 46%.
And, significantly, said the poll analysis, among the 82% of voters who said that they are “certain” how they will vote, Trump holds a 51%-49% advantage.
Rasmussen is the second poll in two days to show the race in Pennsylvania, a key battleground state, has become a tie. The Monmouth University Poll said Wednesday that Biden had a lead of 1 to 3 points.
Just two weeks ago, Biden had an 8-point lead in the state.

It also confirmed another trend that is hurting Biden. Black voters, who Biden is depending on, are not enthusiastic about his candidacy, despite having Sen. Kamala Harris on the ticket. Rasmussen found that just 67% of black people in Pennsylvania support Biden, while 27% back Trump.
The analysis said, “Worrisome for the former vice president is his 67% black support, low for a Democrat, with the incumbent earning 27% of the black vote in Pennsylvania. Trump leads among whites and other minority voters.”

Can a president redirect funds from a city that were already budgeted by Congress under the current omnibus deal? Or is Trump just threatening to veto any future funds? If he’s doing the former, I’m not exactly comfortable with that regardless its legality.
Trump has been showing an authoritarian streak over the last few weeks with his executive proclamations/orders that is starting to worry me. If defeating the left winds up being nothing more than a pyrrhic victory in the short-term, while consolidating power even further into the executive branch in the process, then it doesn’t bode well for any of of in the long.

I was actually thinking broader than the specific topic you are talking about (withholding funds), so I actually don’t have anything at hand that pertains to that in specific. I was thinking about FDR confiscating all privately held gold and Nixon instating price controls, both via executive order, which in my mind is far more outside of the president’s power than determining how to spend the funds that Congress has appropriated (which I have seen it said that appropriation does not compel expenditure, but I’d have to look up where that idea comes from and if has been practiced before).
OK, I should have googled before replying: what I was talking about in my last post concerning a president not being compelled to spend funds appropriated is known as impoundment of appropriation, and was practiced regularly before being outlawed in 1974, so I guess while it is constitutional it is not currently legal, so Trump’s order concerning NYC and others is probably in that category.

See, I can’t understand this argument. If a product you once enjoyed suddenly included extra/completely unneccessary additions to that product that deviated from the purpose and quality of that product, why wouldn’t you object? Why should sports be exempt? It’s nothing more than entertainment. And when the unnecessary additions to the product accumulates to the point where one no longer believes the trade offs are worth the agitation, why not cease to purchase the product? I was a jock for many, many years to one degree or the other. The WSJ ran an article maybe a year ago about an automated burger machine. It makes your burger to order and as fresh as possible…beef is ground, cheese is sliced off the block, tomatoes are sliced, etc. only after you order.
