Had to go to a health care facility this morning and the ‘vid precautions were hysteria was insane. I warned them not to take my BP as it would be through the roof.
I suppose there might be a little corner of sanity and joy left somewhere, but it’s hard to see it today. Maybe here at Glibs?
- No. This is rage-inducing. (Sorry Swiss!)
- Be still my heart. Oh, wait. Darnit. For a second there I thought this was telling me we were going to be rescued by the SMOD.
- Hmm. This might be OK, it might be IOP. Maybe.
- This should help. (I don’t think it’s about Neph.)
- Well, this is good, too.
- Awww. OK, this definitely made me smile. Thanks, Alex Trebek.
Now that my disposition is sunnier, I think I’ll go meet OMWC for lunch. ❤️

That post hasn’t aged all that well, really. Most of the data since I wrote it means it is quite outdated. But the kicker at the end is still solid, I think.
Just testing my new profile pic.

“Oct. 29 (UPI) — Astronomers have discovered a planetary free agent floating through the Milky Way, unbound to the gravity of any nearby stars.”
I thought a planet had to have its own orbit? So how does this asshole get to be a planet and Pluto isn’t?
Because Fuck Pluto, thats why!

No Ceres, no peace!
Maybe you can get away with insulting the sky god as long as you are willing to never show your face outside. If you never brave the sea, your insult to Poseiden may never be punished. But you never, ever, no matter what, insult Pluto.
Pluto is classified as a “dwarf planet”, a category containing 4 other bodies. So we have 8 planets, or we have 13, that have been discovered in our solar system, but sadly not the classic 9.
Gonna be a lot of sad planetologists when they die! Pluto is a planet!
My very eager mother just showed us nine planets.
I heard that about her.
They’re both planets.
Pluto: dwarf planet.
Free floating thing: rogue planet.
Pluto is a planet, but it’s not a planet planet. You just have to understand this highly technical astronomy-stuff.
Maybe there could be Big P Planets and little p planets 😉

I don’t live in IL but that story still made my blood boil.
I would wager all the govs are dreading FOIA…unfortunately nothing will happen because of it.
Unfortunately, I know you are right.
My son lives in Chicago now, and I’m just waiting for all of this to hit his limit.
Pritzker was too incompetent to run a bank, so I guess that means he’s the perfect person to run Illinois.
There are local rumours of a Biden cabinet post having been promised…
I imagine this is pretty much how most of the other lockdown happy governors have been running things, too, and it’s appalling. Whatever gives them the excuse to keep grinding the bootheel in a little more.
U.S. GDP booms at 33.1% rate in Q3, better than expected
Nobody cares because Orange Man Bad. – Krugbe.
People pent up wanting to live life engage in commerce in explosive fashion. Shocking.
Ok, I jump the left when they lie through their teeth, so I feel obligated to be fair. You do not get to brag about “unprecedented GDP growth” for the quarter when they reason for the growth is that the economy was mugged, raped, beaten unconscious, raped again, then sodomized with Luima’s plunger in the prior quarter, and the ‘growth’ you are bragging about is the bleeding crying economy staggering back to its feet and hobbling off to the hospital.
Come on man, the economy was begging for it.
When it was your political opponents who did the mugging, raping, etc. – why, yes, you do get to talk about “unprecedented growth” in the election hit pieces against your opponents, IF you note that the growth was because the SOBs didn’t mug or rape etc. quite so much as they were doing.

WalMart pulling guns from shelves in anticipation of post-election looting.
https://www.wsj.com/articles/walmart-pulls-guns-ammo-displays-in-u-s-stores-citing-civil-unrest-11604002136?mod=e2fb&fbclid=IwAR0Bmx7QxxQk3LH_S6J-gGnrIOLpQj1PZXt_08BUCg7lLvfo4XExtSZw5v8&fbclid=IwAR1y3Hc9qSZRLhYgy38suJDvfCO5tUIJ5TEmEBevHGWOVA8u9ON1A8D05Vk
Lots of businesses seem to be hip to the idea that there will be rioting after the election.
Seems like a sorry state of affairs
Seems advisable.
ATF paperwork for a dealer with lost/stolen guns is nothing to sneeze at.
They still sell guns?
About half. It’s very location-specific. The one closest to us has a huge gun department and maybe 4 or 5 aisles dedicated to fishing/hunting equipment.
Ah. I used to live in suburbs surrounded by farms and mountains, and from there I remember guns. I’ve been living in suburbs surrounded by other suburbs for a while and I can’t remember ever seeing guns.
If I were a gun store, I’d be putting metal roll-down doors on my building.
There are few guns and no ammo in my local stores (not that I expect looting out here).
If Biden wins, those few guns sell out in a week. If Trump wins, things slowly start to get back to normal.
not that I expect looting out here
I don’t anticipate any out here either but the world is crazy. Several years ago, there was a no shit Bloods versus Crips shootout during a funeral at this little old country church down the road. The mourners, including the admin at my wife’s old work, had to take cover behind tombstones.
I live in a deep rural, middle of nowhere area. Plenty of bikers and even cartel activity… but no inner city gangs. It was unreal.
I already planned to spend election nigh loading mags just in case something that crazy does come to visit.
Ditto
Mine are loaded and ready to go. Whether they’re next used at the range or in defense of home is yet to be known. We’re not gonna see violence in the wealthy northern suburbs of Dallas, but I’d rather be prepared than be caught with my pants around my ankles if my assumption of peace is wrong.
Side of town I live in is littered with sunken boats and most are . High retaining wall on back property (20 ft) and friendly neighbors on the ingress point. Just gonna enjoy the night with a bon-fire.
Bon-fire is for any incriminating documents that I believe in freedom and/or the Constitution.
Huh…if you type out redacted with surrounding it…it deletes the word when you post? Did not (know) that
Assuming you used < and > then yeah it gets eaten as HTML. You can insert them with < and > though.
Probably wise in some locations.
Everyone is anticipating riots because they all know what they aren’t saying: Trump will win.
On the other hand “I am going to ban fracking, jack taxes through the roof, wreck the healthcare system, seize all guns, have a nationwide lockdown and a mask mandate all of the time for everyone” might put Biden ahead.
⬆️
My reaction.
For once, a rational reason for pulling guns from shelves.
This mask is known to the State of California to cause [cancer] [birth defects or other reproductive harm].
“Melania finally campaigns at rally alongside Donald in Tampa – in front of maskless crowd of 6,000 who are so tightly-packed that they have to be sprayed with water to keep them cool

I don’t think I’d need to be sprayed with water if I was in front of Melania but she could probably warm just about anybody up 😉
“UPS FINDS the ‘lost’ trove of ‘damning’ Hunter Biden documents that Tucker Carlson claimed were deliberately intercepted in the post on their way to Fox News to protect Joe’s son
UPS says it has found the Hunter Biden package that Tucker Carlson suggested had been deliberately intercepted after he mailed it between his two offices, and says it will return it to the Fox host’s team.
Carlson detailed the mystery of the vanishing documents during his Wednesday evening show on Fox News, where he also aired new audio of Hunter Biden’s business partners sharing concerns that their secrets would ‘blow up big time’.
The host said his team had sent documents, via an established courier, from his main studio in Manhattan on Monday to Los Angeles.
At 3.44am on Tuesday someone in the courier company noticed that the had been opened and its contents were removed, he said. ”
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-8894445/UPS-Hunter-Biden-package-Tucker-Carlson-claimed-destroyed.html
Sounds legit.
Again I ask, why weren’t they scanned and emailed? What is the purpose of mailing copies?
I could have sworn he said they had copies…but then again, I forgot today is Tuesday.
Doesnt say where they found them, why the envelope had been opened etc., just that they were ‘lost’. Uh huh.
You misspelled “judicial activism”.
Justice Barrett’s confirmation is an attack on the Affordable Care Act and it’s an attack on reproductive rights.

I’m guessing such a Progressives might have a different perspective if you and a bunch of friends showed up at their house and looted all the contents and then burned the house to the ground, while shouting, “Hey, it’s only property so who cares?”
I think they might!
At some point someone is going to. have to shut this shit down, find out who is behind it and bury them under the prison.
“Five months later, every time Prtizker issues an executive order to enact coronavirus mitigation restrictions — shutting down businesses, bars, indoor dining and schools, for instance — he cites those statistics anyway.”
Our dear governor shut prohibited indoor dining again because of those faulty ass numbers. It’s October in Illinois and it’s too cold to eat outside now. It’s also nuts how the “I Love Science,” crowd is licking this dude’s balls and praising him to the high heavens despite him using faulty numbers. This shit has some terrible real world consequences and Pritzker will never be held accountable for destroying people’s lives.

I worked with a guy who was missing 2 fingers. When he was younger, someone handed him a lit M-80 while he was talking up a pretty girl. He didn’t think to look at what he was handed until it was too late. He called it his Mickey Mouse Hand. Still he was an awesome carpenter.
And this is why we have to go to South Dakota to get the good fireworks now.
You work with Jason Pierre-Paul? Cool!
I’ve seen a lot of videos that look like they may have acquired commercial grade, class B, or 1.3G I believe it is now called, for these “peaceful protests.” I worked for a pyro-technician from 84 – 02, Just on the 4th or New Years, and many of those will kill you. We went to electrically fired in the late 90’s and that seemed a lot safer to me. The thrill of lighting quick match in a mortar tube wears off pretty quick.
The video could have easily been a small class B. A big 6″ salute would have killed him.
Well now I have outed myself. I have not thrown money away on fireworks for 30 years.
Can confirm.

Old enough to make her own decisions. But I would not want to be involved in that family.
The issue is the trooper was prohibited from have a relationship with those he was protecting.
The article is light on details – I’ve no idea if he cleared the relationship first or at all, but it doesn’t read that way.
Yeah, but from now on, every time he sees Cuomo, he can give him that little smile.
Plus ça change, …
Can’t blame him for wanting to do that. But, how isn’t that an abuse of power?
I don’t think it’s an abuse of power to discipline an undisclosed conflict of interest, or to remediate a disclosed one. That having been said, the response may not be proportionate to the offense.
New York? Hello?
Honestly, I’d much rather be working out of Plattsburgh than NYC. On Lake Champlain, near the Adirondacks, an hour from Montreal.
Panera makes the best fast food chain coffee.
They’re still in business?
Yup. I hadn’t been to one in a long time until I got breakfast at one south of Louisville. I don’t know if it’s a regional thing of if they’re all doing things this way, but instead of splitting and schmearing the cream cheese on the bagel for me so I could eat it while driving, they just tossed the bagel with a packet of sub-par cream cheese into a bag.
Tax.
A bagel and cream cheese are untaxed groceries in New York… until you cut them, at which point they become taxable prepared food.
We have one in town.
Micky Ds is better. The only thing I will get from there.
Maybe up in the New Yorks. Down in DC, Panera’s coffee is lousy even by fast food standards.
A belated response to the dead thread about not voting – my trajectory:
1) I didn’t vote when I was in my teens and 20s and perhaps early 30s (can’t remember the exact timeline), because I figured I was young and dumb and would make regrettable choices. And smoking weed seemed like a better use of my time.
2) I voted, mostly for Republicans, thinking maybe the lesser of two evils was a good idea.
3) 9/11 and the Patriot Act and the TSA got created – by Republicans. And I spent numerous years working at the Hawaii legislature, seeing what horrible human beings could do when given essentially unlimited power. Started voting for Libertarians, in those rare instances when one was on the ballot.
4) Became the state party LP Chair, kinda by accident – I took a step back when they said “Anyone who wants to be Chair, step forward.” Looked around – everyone else who was remotely qualified was actively running away. Shortly after taking the helm, decided to quit voting because it seemed futile and a waste of my time, even though I was supposed to be recruiting the people who I could vote for.
5) Decided the next time I would vote would be if they put candidates on the ballot who I would not make me feel dirty and ashamed for voting for them. Namely, in the wildly unlikely event the LP’s policy of putting “none of the above” on the ballot for every race became the policy for the “real” ballot.
6) Voted for myself for the HOA Board of my neighborhood, because I felt that particular jackass wouldn’t fuck things up too badly if elected.
6) Voted for myself for the HOA Board of my neighborhood, because I felt that particular jackass wouldn’t fuck things up too badly if elected.
And you were wrong, weren’t you?
I suspect I’ll lose to my next door neighbor, who is also running, and who is married to a karen literally named Karen. Because that’s the sort of people who take over HOAs, from all the reports.
Ours voted in Lockdownistas and our previous HOA president says “told you assholes, have fun I am moving” It was funny till we got written up for suckers on our trees….suckers….trees.
“My Resignation From The Intercept
The same trends of repression, censorship and ideological homogeneity plaguing the national press generally have engulfed the media outlet I co-founded, culminating in censorship of my own articles.
“The final, precipitating cause is that The Intercept’s editors censored an article I wrote this week, refusing to publish it unless I remove all sections critical of Joe Biden, the candidate vehemently supported by all Intercept editors involved in this effort at suppression.””
https://twitter.com/ggreenwald/status/1321869534526136326
Ultimately, it doesn’t seem like there’s any there, there with respect to Joe Biden. Hunter is a shitheel, a grifter, someone who has never done anything his daddy didn’t give to him, but Joe doesn’t seem to really be involved in Hunter’s schemes, except as a name thrown around.
The real story is, as Greenwald notes, how differently the media treats this than literally ever salacious detail that comes out about Trump and anyone associated with him. This is a big story, it really doesn’t say much about Joe Biden, but the way it’s being treated says a whole lot about the media.
Unless Joe was receiving a cut.
And there is multiple things indicating that he does, including an e-mail by Hunter lamenting that the “Big Guy” makes him give him a cut.
Yeah, I think it’s fair to say it’s a legitimate avenue of investigation. I’m just noting that I haven’t seen much (yet) to implicate Joe in anything serious. The spin, cover-up, “fact-checking”, and silencing of it seems like the bigger story (a la “the coverup is worse than the crime”).
I mean, what more do you need? He wasn’t just a name thrown out – Hunter used his connections to Joe to set up meetings. His business partners met with Biden. Biden was personally taking a cut of the money.
What else would he have to do?
And that doesn’t even get into the more salacious details from the laptop. Like, his relations with underage girls. Joe knew nothing about that, even when it involved family members?
The standard of politician misconduct is so stupidly high now that I can agree with what you’re saying and yet still say it doesn’t yet amount to much. There’s a double standard w/r/t to Trump’s family and dealings and I’d say that is (also) a bigger problem.
But money and power will always find each other. The laws are for the little people, as we’ve seen with Hillary Clinton. This is the norm now. I can’t not vote for Biden any more than I’m already never voting from him in a million years.
Expecting him to face the music like a normal person? That’s just pure masturbatory fantasy, I’m sad to say.
Did you see the text from Hunter to Naomi talking about how he pays his Dad’s bills?
That’s the grift right there: your idiot son gets a fat check, and now your Senate and VP salary just goes straight to investing in companies you’re about to bail out or subsidize or give a contract to.
Michelle Obama got a noshow job at a hospital when Barack was an IL State Senator.
I’m pretty sure that’s how Tony Soprano’s crew referred to him when detailing his cut… “10% gets kicked up to the Big Guy”. The Bidens are just another crime family.
“The Bidens are just another crime family.”
Well they are politicians, so … yeah
Really?
The whole thing was orchestrated by Joe and the Chinese paid him millions. Joe didn’t get 47 mansions with his govt paycheck.
The Chinese own him. This whole thing is as bad as the Hillary crimes.
In theory, there should be damning records apart from Hunter’s laptop that can establish this. I never said Biden wasn’t corrupt or isn’t on the take or doesn’t want to slobber PRC dick for a buck. I just think the available evidence says a lot more about Hunter than Joe.
Now, I’d like to say that I think the news media not covering this (yes, yes, Tucker is covering it and he’s got like a bajillion viewers, but he’s one guy on one network; and obviously there’s Glenn G here too; but while lots of people are amplifying the story, not so many are investigating or reporting on it like, you know, journalists) is really the bigger problem. That bit above I said about Joe never having to face the music for it is partly because, no matter what happens, 40-45% of people are going to vote for him anyway. But it’s also because the people who are swayable won’t be presented with the details or at least won’t receive it from what they consider a trustworthy source. It takes time and effort to prove an accusation, to get people to believe it, and when it reveals a systemic problem, to get the motivation to change the system (even if it will always get corrupted again in the future; we are all human after all).
Everybody gets to choose what to cover, and that is part of freedom of the press. And everybody gets to choose what they read and what they trust; that too is freedom. But the civic discourse and civic virtue is a function of the interplay of these and other factors.
That’s not what Bobulinski said, though. He said Joe was pretty deeply involved in it all, just in an off-the-record manner. That was the entire point – they wanted to use his name and office to profit, but to do so in a discreet way so as to maintain political viability.
He’s probably the only reason anyone has ever heard of the Intercept.
Does The Intercept even have any major reporters other than Greenwald?
I think Jeremy Scahill is considered important. I’m not plugged into the journalismist reputation grapevine though — heck, I didn’t even go to Columbia.
From the comments:

Under the heading “The Limitations Of Data We Have Today,” the report states: “Changes in the total number of test-positive cases or the fraction testing positive are an unreliable measure of shifts. These numbers should not be used to determine policy.”
The next bullet point says: “Hospitalizations, ICU occupancy, and deaths are all later events in the course of the disease, so these events are too late to estimate the rate of transmission in the community.”
Mere moments ago, I was looking at one of those “if current rates continue, the hospitals will be jam packed with dead people” headlines.
Because it’s really helpful to pick a short term trend and extend it to infinity.

Jim Biden, the brother of Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, refused to answer questions Wednesday when approached by Fox News outside a house in Maryland about claims the former vice president had knowledge about the family’s overseas business ventures.
Approached at a residence on the Eastern Shore, Jim Biden repeatedly rebuffed questions in his driveway as Fox News asked questions from a distance in the street.
“I don’t want to comment about anything,” Jim Biden said.
Asked if he cared to answer questions, Biden said: “Nope.”

I understand wanting Trump to win. I even understand not wanting Trump to win. I do not understand why so many people here and elsewhere insist that he is going to win/lose/win in a landslide/lose in a landslide. Do people think making an unfounded assertion about a thing that has not happened yet, and which they (if they are at all honest with themselves) have no inside knowledge of, or scientific basis for predicting, in some way will cause it to happen? I get speculation. I get stating an opinion. I am talking here about the statements in the form Trump is going to ….. Why?
People are often certain about things that are a matter of opinion.
Sure but what is the point of adamantly, even angrily expressing it? The tone seems to indicate that if they can just get people to believe them then magically it will happen, but obviously that is not how the world works. No matter how many people you persuade on October 29 that Trump will win 350 elctoral votes the election will be decided by the electoral votes he actually gets cast for him come December 14.
Why do you insist on questioning people’s opinions as if they are supposed to be founded on facts to your satisfaction?
It sounds like a “Well, ackshually, you DON’T know X is going to happen” instead of just going with the flow and understanding that when people say, “X is going to happen,” they’re just expressing an opinion-cum-hope on outcome.
Why do people place bets? They’re reasonably sure of their opinion/hope that they’ll win some money on it.
So what if they insist. It’s a linguistic shortcut for “Geez, I hope my outcome happens.”
Well, I fucked that link up. That’s what happens when I post whilst peeved.
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EW9upiFX0AEMnWz?format=jpg&name=small
Both work.
I don’t question opinions. I am talking about the angry assertions that X will happen. Maybe it is an example of me being mr. akshually as you assert, but it all sounds to me like magical thinking. If you just shout your opinion loudly and forcefully enough you will somehow scare the spirits into making it be so. Again, the posts that boil down to “I think x” don’t bother me at all. It’s a matter of tone. A lot of it sounds the same as Sloopy talking about the ichigan game. That sort of bombastic prediction/cum talismanic evoking of luck that you get when you have crossed over into fanaticism about something.
Also, why do you insist on my going with the flow as if my interest in the psychology leading to a thing that seems odd, and a bit bothersome to me is supposed to be squelched because you don’t share it?
Because you berate everyone quite often over it and it’s getting tiresome.
Oh well. I’d say I was happy to join the list of people who annoy someone, but I did that years ago.
You don’t usually, even when we disagree.
This is the comment that you see as me berating people? I actually got angry the other night and did in fact berate some people. This comment I was not angry about, until your response which got my back up. I am honestly interested in the phenomenon, and while I admittedly do find the habit a bit annoying, it’s way way down on my annoyance scale.
You bring this up quite often (relatively speaking) and thus, it has attained the vibe of Jarflax Annoyance Level 10.
Since I do, in fact, say “Trump’s gonna win in a landslide,” I feel roped in that group and thus, can actually answer your question as to why we do it.
But do I have an emotional investment in my “Trump’s gonna win in a landslide”?
No. It’s an opinion based on vibes I get from the universe. Also, Trump rallies. Also, the blistering silence from people I KNOW don’t like Trump. If they were going to vote for Biden, they’d say so because it is acceptable to say so.
I just want Biden to not win, in which case, my emotional response is, “Dear Heavenly Father, please do not let that asshole Biden win” said on my knees, in fervent begging, and with lots of tears.
So the lack of expression of “I think” is what bothers you?
“Trump’s gonna win in a landslide” truly bugs you as opposed to “I think Trump’s going to win in a landslide”?
And you interpret that as angry?
To me, that’s angels and pins.
To be fair, sometimes it’s closer to “there’s no possibly that Trump doesn’t win, and the only question is whether he gets over 325 or not”
To me, it’s a bit cringey to read some of the overconfident predictions, but I always take them as people being hyperbolic.
Trump 2020! ?
YEEEAAAHHH!
Sorry, my wife watches too much Hodge Twins
People are emotional creatures. This is an emotional time. It will be expressed in verbal and/or written terms.
If you pays attention, the ones that do that are the gun nut/white supremacist/’kill all the commie’ type commenters. They are running a far right psych-op, since if Trump can’t lose – when he does it must be illegitimate and a Democrat coup, thus they can start the hot civil war they’ve been itching for, get to play commando and kill some antifa, SJW, and soy boys.
And you’ll be the first on my list.
Look fat, just because I wear comfy slippers around the house doesn’t mean I’m a soy boy. Hell, I have power tools!
You don’t kill the soy boys, you put a chain around there neck and keep them as sex slaves. It’s like you don’t even apocalypses, bro.
Soy boys for sex slaves?
Are you kidding me?
You set them to cleaning up after people’s bodily wastes.
I thought the soy boys ended up hauled out of the building in a wheel barrow, with the statement “I’m not dead yet” on their lips… Color me shocked.
Gah. Again with the double posting.
Gah. Again with the double posting.
I thought the soy boys ended up hauled out of the building in a wheel barrow, with the statement “I’m not dead yet” on their lips… Color me shocked.
The Hyperbole is not a bro. That’s an insult to all bro’s. The Bro will not abide that.
2nd Douglas Adams reference today for me

With the Hunter Biden laptop stories being black listed by the media, I was wondering what exactly a Democrat would have to do for the media to consider it disqualifying. Like, taking foreign money is no problem. Knowing that your son was having relations with underage girls while smoking crack and recording it all? No problem. I could have said the same thing 4 years ago with Hillary and her issues.
I postulate it could come out that Biden literally killed someone and they’d sweep it under the rug. There’s literally nothing they won’t dismiss as a matter of politics.
At this point in the game? Nothing. The media has shown it will lay down more cover than our boys got landing on Okinawa for the Dems.
Uh, as Robert Barns is fond of saying, there are two certainties in life. Jeffrey Epstein did not commit suicide… and Sally Yates is corrupt.
So yeah… they could get away with murder.
They got away with using the FBI, CIA and DOJ to spy on and set up Trump campaign and transition officials.
They are not only OK with all of that…. they cheerlead it.
Well, to give the devil his due, the Democrats aren’t running Biden because they want leadership. Quite the contrary.
The Democrats don’t need a leader. They have the culture, the academy, the bureaucracy. They just need a front man to sign the legislation.
The academy postulates the newest move toward socialism, the media picks it up, it gets memed into existence, and then they propose legislation. The Republicans conceed every single one of the premises of the “problem” but offer some bullshit “market based compromise.”
I mean, look at COVID. Every single politician concedes that COVID justifies some level of massive government response. No one in the legislature is saying “It’s November, it’s abundantly clear at this point that COVID is not the threat we had feared in March. We can reopen. Wash your hands.”
If Biden wins, we will get 12 months of WEATHER PANIC stories in the media, all of Hollywood will push CLIMATE CHANGE!!!! in the TV, movies, and streams, and by next fall there will be some Green New Deal that “all the experts agree is moderate and sensible.”
To be fair, we are going to get 12 months on WEATHER PANIC etc – everything you mention – regardless of who wins the White House.
Blameless
“The View” had teased Cuomo’s appearance by noting that the governor blamed Trump for every coronavirus death in the Empire State, indicating that it was a topic he planned to talk about with the presidential election looming.
Cohost Whoopi Goldberg set him up by asking, “You say, rightfully so, I think, but I’m gonna ask you, you’re holding you know who responsible for every death in New York from COVID. I’m gonna say to you, why?”
“I’m holding you know who responsible for every death in this country first, Whoopi, because he lied about it. He lied about it from day one. They had that memo from January… that said millions are going to die. They lied,” Cuomo said. “They knew that millions were going to get infected and hundreds of thousands were going to die. That’s the first reason.”
Cuomo then said the Trump administration was “totally incompetent” and criticized Trump for trying to “demonize China” by focusing on the virus’s origins.
“The virus did not come here from China,” Cuomo proclaimed. “The virus came here from Europe because he wasn’t paying attention, the virus left China, went to Europe… January, February, March we had three million people coming in from Europe… that’s where the virus came from.”
That January memo, which was preposterously wrong, because it was based on utterly bogus assumptions? That memo?
And- I was just thinking about this today. Our media bloodhounds seem to have completely lost interest in the origins of the Great Panicdemic. It’s almost as if they decided it doesn’t advance their preferred narrative.
Well which is it? Millions are going to die or millions will be infected and only thousands will die?
I caught that too. Over a million lives were saved in one sentence apparently 😉
Glenn Greenwald published the article that he wrote for the Intercept, but was censored. He resigned over the conflict.
His article is more epic than you expected. He crushes the media. They are left utterly broken on the floor. They have no defense. This is the article I would have written.
As an incidental casualty along the way, he also destroys the Biden campaign, exposing the corruption in detail.
https://greenwald.substack.com/p/article-on-joe-and-hunter-biden-censored
Matt Taibi joins the effort with an article about Barisma that the media should have written two years ago, at least:
https://taibbi.substack.com/p/with-the-hunter-biden-expose-suppression
Greenwald is must see TV. Do not pass go, go directly to the article. It is long, but worth it.
The Taibi article… well, the part that Greenwald quotes is really good. But you have to be a subscriber to read the whole thing.
I subscribed today. The expense is well worth it for someone who actually performs the function of a journalist, a rarity these days.
Long, but excellent.
I went to the VA for my annual appointment yesterday.
I was given a mask at the door and carried it through the building to my Clinic area.
After checking in at the electronic kiosk, I sat in the waiting room, well separated from the 2 other people. Head Nurse: “Why don’t you have a mask?”
I showed her the one in my hand and told her I have sinus headaches, so I don’t wear them. At that time, my nurse called me back. I asked why they were pushing masks when there is a lot of science showing they don’t stop the spread. She said she wasn’t too concerned about it and took me back to a room. While sitting in there by myself the head nurse came and told me I have to wear it. I told her the last time I wore a mask I had a headache so bad I didn’t sleep for 2 days. (this is true, but since I only wore it for 5 minutes, the mask probably isn’t to blame)
I asked again about the science to justify this and was told and I quote: “Stop listening to your president.”
I said “Excuse me” and stuck up my hand like a kid asking a question. “What does he have to do with this? I am asking why I have to wear a mask and the only answer I seem to be getting is Shut up and do as you’re told, peasant.”
She said “He’s running around, telling everyone not to wear them. If you want to get seen today, you have to wear it. Period.”
“Even if I’m in a room by myself?”
“Yes”
I almost left, but I have a few things I wanted to get seen about. I actually had high blood pressure when they checked it, first time in my life.
They left and my Nurse said she would close the door, but make sure not to take off the mask, wink wink.
The Dr.came in wearing a face shield with a mask underneath, surgical scrubs and rubber gloves. She wouldn’t come within 10 feet while talking to me.
Also, she was Indian with a bad accent so I was whating her to death. Accent + mask+face shield +10 feet = What, I can’t hear you.
I asked her about the reasoning behind masks and she wouldn’t comment, because she didn’t want to be political. What. The. Fuck.
After I left the room, I carried the mask out and all the way through the building.
I hate people.
Government healthcare features Nurse Ratched.
As I said, it will get to the point where we are going to have to shut this shit down by whatever means necessary.
I understand wanting Trump to win. I even understand not wanting Trump to win. I do not understand why so many people here and elsewhere insist that he is going to win/lose/win in a landslide/lose in a landslide.
Why do people become emotionally invested (to the point of fisticuffs) in sporting events contested by people they have no meaningful connection with?
i don’t know, either.
Four more years of President Flaming Bag of Dog Shit on Your Porch? Fuck yeah!
‘Murica FTW.
Why do people become emotionally invested (to the point of fisticuffs) in sporting events contested by people they have no meaningful connection with?
That is a part of what I am getting at, but the other part is what I am most interested in. The psychology that makes people express what are essentially wishes in extremely concrete terms as though admitting any doubt means that the undesired outcome will happen.
Because people aren’t robots and they feel connection to sports/elections/tv shows/etc. Some feel more, others less. Why does it irk you so much? You latching on to this like a rabid dog with a bone is no different from where I sit.
It doesn’t irk me so much. It irks me maybe a 1 on a 1 -10 scale. I am curious about the psychology that leads to it. It seems to be a phenomenon that occurs when intense emotional attachment and inability to directly affect outcome coincide. This leads me to hypothesize that it is a superstitious attempt to affect that outcome by expressing confidence in the outcome emphatically. I think it is likely common to most or all people in some form. I am not saying People who do this are bad, I am saying people do this thing that makes no logical sense, why is that?
I am genuinely interested in the phenomenon, because it does not seem to have an evolutionary basis (in fact by doing it adamantly enough you set yourself up for loss of status/mockery/discomfort if your desired outcome does not happen, see sports fans when their team loses), yet it does seem to be extremely common.
I don’t endorse the notion that everything humans do has an evolutionary basis, but I’d say a desire for camaraderie likely does, and insofar as we’re talking about people who are generally of like minds expressing hopeful/wishful thoughts it fits that desire.
You’re seeing a phenomenon that doesn’t exist. Unless if one believes in premonition/prescience, it’s just assumed that statements about the future are that person’s opinion. Since prescience doesn’t exist, it’s redundant and unnecessary to such opinion modifiers.
* to add such opinion modifiers
I don’t think that is accurate. There are obviously cases where a person says x will happen clearly meaning they think x will happen without the insistence that their opinion is fact, but I think there are many cases where it goes further and the person will not admit any possibility that their prediction is mistaken, and that is what I am interested in. Forget politics, I think by bringing this up in the politics context I screwed up. A better example is probably the sports context because the wish aspect is more clean. In politics there could be some value to persuading some listener to agree. In the sports context there just isn’t.
In a couple weeks Sloopy will be making comments about the absolute impossibility of TTUN beating tOSU, the number of years running that TTUN has fallen to tOSU, the mental, physical, and moral deficiencies of all those associated with TTUN etc. He will heavily invest in an opinion that does not confer any advantage to him, or to his beloved Buckeyes, and in fact will set himself up for increased pain if they lose because every comment will be ammunition for ichigan supporters to rub in his face. (see last year after the Fiesta Bowl). I am interested in the phenomenon. Kbolino above ascribes it to some form of team idenification, which makes sense, and I have hypothesized that it has a superstitious root, it may also be asemi deliberate setting oneself up to share the pain of a defeat as a way of supporting one’s chosen team. I just think it is an interesting phenomenon, and were I an academic psychologist I’d want to study it.
I’m sort of the opposite In that the thing I want to happen least is the thing I always assume will happen. With sports especially.
This is why I’m anticipating a Biden win. If he wins, that’s what I was expecting. If he loses ill be pleasantly surprised.
my claim that Trump will win is based on respective rally attendance. The Trump base is made up of sensible middle Americans who constitute a majority. Most people dont like being berated, denigrated and bullied. Most people dont like riots and looting and violence.
The Biden base is made up of people lunatics like Sara Silverman who see swastikas in street signs and nazis hiding behind ever tree and under every bed.
In the end my confidence is in the people who have mortgages to pay, kids to feed and jobs to hold down and I see evidence for it.
Rallies on one side, trunkloads of found ballots on the other.
The closer we get to the election, the more and more astonished I am by just how much Trump has upset the DC establishment. I’ve never seen the like of it before. Probably because every candidate who has ever touted shimself as an “outsider”, really wasn’t a outsider. But Trump really is.
If I vote for Trump, it will be 100% because upsetting the Beltway is a blaring siren if there ever was one to vote for someone.
Yeah I’ve always been a fan of “judge people by the enemies they make.”
I didn’t vote in 2016. I am voting this year. Probably won’t matter, but I might get to see Nick Freitas kick out CIA Bitch.
Funny thing about CIA Bitch: All of her mailers are either staged or photoshopped to hide her enormous honking schnozz…..and all the GOP mailers get her in profile. It’s funny how petty and shallow politics is sometimes.
HAHAHAHA….now that you’ve pointed that out, I won’t be able to avoid noticing that.
I like Freitas but his campaign was fairly incompetent. Hope it doesn’t cost him. I’ve seen this race called a Dem lean and a tossup. We’ll see what happens.
With how the totally nonbiased impartial UC Berkley poli sci professor redrew the districts, he probably will lose in a squeaker within the margin of fraud.
Grrrrrr…. I got redistricted in that effort. Now I’m in the same district as Virginia Beach.
Intercept decided to respond…

FTA:
The narrative Glenn presents about his departure is teeming with distortions and inaccuracies — all of them designed to make him appear as a victim, rather than a grown person throwing a tantrum. It would take too long to point them all out here, but we intend to correct the record in time. For now, it is important to make clear that our goal in editing his work was to ensure that it would be accurate and fair. While he accuses us of political bias, it was he who was attempting to recycle the dubious claims of a political campaign — the Trump campaign — and launder them as journalism.
Well, I’m convinced. Nothing else to see here people. Move along.
In 2020, those words mean “facts I don’t like.”
Direct to the personal attacks, sign of a strong argument.
On November 4th.
Accurate and fair are two other words that have seen Orwellian mission creep these past four years.
You know, the fun thing about publishing articles is that people can dig into the facts and sources and find the truth and the lies. Like, back in 2004, a bunch of bloggers figured out Dan Rather’s National Guard Memos were complete forgeries.
If the Hunter Biden documents were false, then the whole media would have showed them to be false by now. They haven’t, they have embargoed the story.
That is what bothers me. The whole story could be false, but the media strangling it perks my ears. Just investigate, report, ask the questions and then…you know,…report it.
I read the article. It is only the facts – wrapped around his opinion of the media machine that is suppressing any criticism of Biden. I don’t think they have a leg to stand on.
Why would committed socialist and effete liberal Glenn Greenwald be pro-Trump? I’m not saying it’s impossible but the burden of proof on that one has got to be a bit higher than “we don’t like him anymore”.
I am tired of this kind of lazy BS answer.
Point out the distortions and inaccuracies or shut up.
Yup, it’s basically the Yes, Minister “in the fullness of time” joke.
For now, it is important to make clear that our goal in editing his work was to ensure that it would be accurate and fair. While he accuses us of political bias, it was he who was attempting to recycle the dubious claims of a political campaign — the Trump campaign — and launder them as journalism.
The article was rife with hate speech! We just wanted to clean it up.
So how is everyone’s Zeta experience? TS rolled through starting at about 3AM. Power went out just before wakey time. Still out and supposedly it’s affecting 25% of the county. WTF. Sun is going down and the house is quite warm. They are saying we could be SOL until Saturday. Last weekend we filled our Freezer to the max with meats from Costco. Laptop battery fading… fuck me and my first world problems. I’m envisioning me dumping a load of spoiled meat in the EMC lobby.
Rain. Lots of rain. For the 1.5 days it would seem.
Been raining in NYC for about two days now. I guess that’s Zeta?
Yep. The remnants are moving through the Northeast now.
You packed freezer with meat, with the potential for bad weather in a week?
What you smoking?
I didn’t know and it’s north GA. Top wind speed was 55 mph. This is bullshit. I sat outside, on my deck, with a cup of fucking coffee before going into work late. If there were trees all over everybody’s houses, i could understand. There wasn’t. They have no linemen, I’ll bet.
No generator for the frig and freezer?
Unfortunately not. Wife complained about the security system battery dying and the panel was beeping incessantly. “Shouldn’t it last longer than four hours?” [Insert euphemism here]
Well it would, but it’s eight years old and the power has gone out many times. No complaints from me on that.
If it’s pack full and frozen solid, it should last 3 days, just don’t open it.
^ Also, can you get dry ice? Many grocery stores carry it. Throw 10 or 20 lbs in your freezer every couple days.
Nothing got opened today, and because the ice maker is in the fridge, I’m hoping everything but the dairy will last. I should drink all the beer in the basement fridge though, right? Glad I’m off tomorrow.
I hate it when the power goes out and all the bodies defrost.
Rain. Snow tomorrow.
Keep the fridge and freezer closed as much as possible. Since you’re in Georgia, it might not be cold enough to store cold stuff outside.
Hopefully you get power back soon.
The psychology that makes people express what are essentially wishes in extremely concrete terms as though admitting any doubt means that the undesired outcome will happen.
Is there an element of wishing away uncertainty or (worse) randomness? I don’t doubt it in the least.
Cocaine Mitch poking Hillary’s eye
Frankly, he needs to retire. Too many geezers about like Feinstein, Grassley, etc.
Evidence that herd immunity is the proper approach.
https://medicalxpress.com/news/2020-10-people-mount-strong-antibody-response.html
still has this doozy of a sentence: “Our microbiology colleagues generated great science…”
Great science, the greatest, the best. You won’t believe it, it’ll make your head spin.
It’s so much science that I’m tired of sciencing. Really, it’s the best.
One does not generate science. WTF are they teaching in school these days?

I’m a little surprised Jack would stick his head into the hornet’s nest.
I am too.
Nicklaus has been a long time supporter of Republicans. Rich enough, respected enough that he can say “Fuck ‘Em” to anyone who starts criticizing him for not being a woke socialist.
Jorgensen is going to win in a landslide, mark my words.
What you did…noticed.
So are you motivated by team identification? A subconcious belief that saying it will cause it to come to pass? a desire to troll? C’mon, give me a data point for my study!
A subconscious belief in the power of trolling.
Gov. J.B. Pritzker keeps telling Illinoisans that his coronavirus mitigation efforts are guided by science.
“Science twice removed” might be closer to the truth, public records show.
After combing though hundreds of pages of emails and a confidential coronavirus report obtained through the spoils of another man’s Freedom of Information request, the big takeaway is that scientists advising Pritzker say coronavirus test positivity rates that guide his pandemic response are unreliable.
WHOA!!! I need to find my shocked face.
When you think Panera, soup, salad and sandwiches likely come to mind. But the company hopes to change that — at least in some circles — by offering one of America’s favorite foods: pizza.
They’ll screw it up.
The Model T story is really cool.
I have another link dump of news. This time, from both PA and NH. First: Erie County restricts activities of openly armed people near the polls who aren’t voting
Elections officials in this swing county took new steps Tuesday to combat rising concerns of voter intimidation at the polls, banning gatherings of two or more voters openly carrying guns near polling places, and forcing armed residents who aren’t voting to keep their distance.
But a constitutional law expert said the restrictions will almost certainly face a court challenge.
Voters in Pennsylvania are legally allowed to carry guns to the polls. The resolution by the Erie County Board of Elections sought to place limits on activity that could be seen as intimidating by people in close proximity to the polls who are not voting.
IIRC, the Black Panthers were at polling stations while openly armed not too long ago in Philly.
I remember that.
I remember also that nothing else happened.
Police watch man burn Trump flags at courthouse
A Pennsylvania activist held a Trump flag-burning underneath the statue of ‘Old Glory’ at the historic Chester County Courthouse Wednesday.
The burning was held by Eugene Stilp of Dauphin County, and it brought a group of supporters of the president out in reaction.
Stilp, who describes himself as a good citizen activist, lit three flags on fire shortly before 3 p.m. while he broadcast it live on social media.
Stilp had notified County Commissioners beforehand and when he arrived he was greeted by a Borough zoning officer who told him the Borough had not been notified and he was not allowed to conduct open burning.
Stilp listened and then said he was going to hold the event anyway and provided the zoning officer with identification so he could write a citation.
Gordon Eck, head of the Chester County Republican party, said even though he is sickened by the burning of Trump flag, he is heartened to live in a nation that permits free speech.
“How wonderful it is to live in a country where people are free to speak their mind without fear of government reprisal,” Eck said. “While his comments were devoid of reality, I stand with his right to share them. A healthy society requires the give and take of differing ideas, even those that challenge our most deeply held beliefs. We must resist the movement toward ideological conformity where people with opposing views are silenced.”
This was front page news today in the newspaper. How an adult acting like a petulant 7th grader thinks his activities…he’s done this at about 20 different county seats already…will cause people to vote against Trump is remarkable. This should stir up the pro-Trump vote which was steadily being submerged beneath the Karen Army in the suburbs.
he is sickened by the burning of Trump flag
definitely not a cult.
Maybe he was standing downwind. That shit’s toxic.
Oops
Potentially thousands of mail ballots requested by Butler County voters appear to be lost, a county official said Wednesday, and the U.S. Postal Service has been asked to immediately investigate what happened to them.
A USPS spokesperson, meanwhile, said the agency is “unaware of any significant delays or issues.”
PA Health Secretary gets on the Newsom train
The next “joys-of-life”targets in COVID-19′s sights?: Thanksgiving dinner, Christmas open houses and other traditionally indoor house parties.
With new coronavirus case counts surging past springtime peaks in recent days, Pennsylvania’s state Health Secretary Dr. Rachel Levine earlier this week made an appeal to Pennsylvanians, as they plan for this year’s holiday season, to think seriously about hosting or attending any events with people who you don’t already live with.
“Unfortunately, in this time of the global pandemic of COVID 19, as we approach the holidays, we need to rethink those gatherings. We need to think about more and more gatherings being virtual, or only staying with your family that you live with, that you’re exposed to all the time,” Levine said.
Fuck off, cunte.
Reopen PA.
That’s the same thing that mandated nursing homes take COVID patients while removing its own mother from one.
It ought to have been tarred and feathered by now.
They openly support groups and/or express hatred for the nuclear family. Why wouldn’t they take this opportunity to keep you away from your core support circle?
Did you know you can’t plead guilty to a charge that doesn’t exist?
In April 2015, Shawn Conklin stabbed three people, including his wife.
Less than a year later, he pleaded guilty but mentally ill to a charge of attempted murder of the third degree and was sentenced to 30 to 60 years in prison.
A state Superior Court panel has just tossed out Conklin’s guilty plea and prison sentence for a very simple reason.
You can’t plead guilty to a charge that doesn’t exist, the state judges found.
This is an unusual case, especially since Conklin, 45, of Wyoming County, didn’t even make the nonexistent charge argument in appealing his jail term. The state judges came up with that on their own in an opinion by Judge Daniel D. McCaffery.
In fact, in his appeal Conklin only asked that his prison sentence be cut in half. He claimed as well that the stabbings occurred after someone put crystal meth in his e-cigarette and coffee.
NH Restaurant Association likes having the government’s boot on its neck
Customers of New Hampshire restaurants will soon be asked to provide basic contact information to help facilitate COVID-19 contact tracing investigations.
Gov. Chris Sununu said the requirement will begin Saturday. Customers will be asked for their name and phone number, and restaurants will record their time of arrival.
Sununu said the information will help contact tracing teams if it’s learned that someone in the restaurant has COVID-19.
“Is it a little bit of a challenge for the industry? Yes it is,” said Mike Somers, president and CEO of the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association. “Does it certainly create a little bit of pushback from some of our customers? We suspect it likely will.”
The proposal came from restaurant owners to be able to assist state health officials with contact tracing and to avoid the public announcements that have been made by the Department of Health and Human Services when trying to track down patrons after a positive case is identified.
Live free or dine.

Wait, everyone isn’t staring at me, and I shouldn’t be hearing these voices.
Some schizophrenics can do that, most can’t. Hell, most ‘sane’ people cant tell the difference between reality and what is ini their heads.
Id stare at both…
All schizos are hot, young women, it is known.
First wife…learned my lesson. Would not change anything.
It would have been awesome if the ending had been them saying “doing much better now” and then a slow pan to the terrified driver, blood dripping from a fresh scalp wound, saying “Please I have a family.”
Hampton, NH fights off another attempt to pass a mask ordinance
After a resident asked selectmen if they would consider a town-wide mask mandate amid a rise in COVID-19 cases, three board members said this week they would oppose such a motion.
A mask mandate was suggested at the selectmen’s Oct. 19 meeting by resident and former police officer Vic DeMarco, who told the board earlier in the year he was concerned about crowds at Hampton Beach spreading the virus to community members. In his recent comments, he pointed to the rise in COVID-19 cases across the country, including New Hampshire.
“Given the massive increase in the virus that’s been all over the country, I was wondering if there was going to be any consideration by the Board of Selectmen to mandate masks be worn when you’re out in the town of Hampton,” DeMarco said.
Selectman Regina Barnes responded at the following meeting, held Monday, by saying mask mandates are unconstitutional because the state Legislature has not passed a law that speaks to it. Two days later, Chairman Jim Waddell and Selectman Chuck Rage said in interviews they would not vote to support a mask mandate out of concerns for enforceability and a desire to let people make their own choices.
SugarFree is running the simulation.
https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2020/10/huge-breaking-exclusive-hunter-biden-pornhub-account-uploaded-personal-porn-including-family-members/
Name the family members.
Hunter seems to have an incest thing going on on top of the thing for underage girls.
So now you are voting for Biden?
He wouldn’t be the first, so no
If Beau’s wife is the family member, that’s going to be quite salacious.
I think the Trumpsters are screwing the pooch with all this Hunter stuff, if they had stuck to the money for access to Joe stuff it’d be different, but the constant “crackhead, fucked his dead brothers wife, kiddie porn” angle seems irrelevant and gives people an excuse to ignore all of it.
If there’s any angle that will get people from across the political spectrum to take interest in a scandal, it’s sex.
Right. It’s an open secret in his family that the guy is a fucked up crack head with a thing for underage girls, and that in no way speaks to Joe’s judgement or morality while he runs as on restoring honor and dignity to the office.
What would we do with out you here to provide such level headed and neutral takes to keep us grounded? Why, we’d be lost.
Spend your time fapping to firsting fantasies?
I’ll take that as you admitting the obvious – there’s no rational response. Hunter Biden was a scumbag doing illegal shit with his sexual deviancy and his father knew. And that sure as shit speaks to Joe’s character.
Character doesn’t matter, we’re not electing someone to marry our daughters or be our business partner. He’s going to be the hired help, if his son has a legal and drug problem and mental issues I might feel sorry for him but as long as he carries out his duties I couldn’t give less fucks.
1. Joe Biden is running on his character. He clearly thinks it matters to voters and it does to many.
2. He’s protecting a kiddy diddler. I’m pretty sure that would result in legal problems for the average person in itself.
3. Your statement that you feel sorry for Joe here just goes back to the point that you don’t fucking get it and that your argument is all kinds of retarded.
1. Joe Biden is running on “Not Trump”
2. Even if Hunter is a kiddy diddler how exactly is Joe protecting him?
2a. Assuming you have a way that Joe is “protecting” a kiddy diddler what crime is that?
3. I said I might feel sorry for him, I do feel sorry for you so I do “get it”.
4. THBPBPTHPHBT!!!
That is possible, although there was some polling showing that Billy hurt Jimmy Carter in 1980, and I am not sure the voting public really is moved more by relevant scandals than irrelevant but slacious scandals.
While I agree that the access for the elder Biden is the juicier scandal, I don’t think it would have changed much. It’s pretty clear that the only people who would have been exposed to it would be Trump voters.
This is just the distraction from the actual, no shit, influence peddling, bribery, corruption, and money laundering.
Watchagonnado?
See, it’s not because Joe knew. Joe knew that his son was doing shit with underage girls to include family members and didn’t give a shit.
That’s not a distraction. That alone is what I’d call disqualifying.
That’s what gets me. Isn’t one of the supposed victims Joe’s own granddaughter? If that’s true, well, lord have mercy.
Well, when you look at how Joe himself behaves with underage girls…
And I mean publicly, of course. We don’t know what the Big Guy does behind closed doors.
Yes.
But if you are going to do it, put it out earlier and see how Biden tries to spin it.
Right now it is too late.
I think the election is carved in stone. Nothing said at this point is going to swing anyone. The two opposing sides are simply too far separated ideologically.
I said the same in 2016. When someone challenged me I was told in no uncertain terms that was not true. “Ok, show me someone who switched”
I was given a slew of people who all said, in almost the exact same words, “I am a life long republican but even I think….”
Right. I have a bridge for sale.
:\
This kid would have been a disaster for any political campaign pre-2016, but now, I guess, it’s kind of an ultimate illustration of what you can get away with just so long as you are against Bad Orange Man.
“We know this is Hunter’s account and one of the reasons is because of the screen shot below where one of his pages bookmarked is “Joe Biden Smiling”.”
How does that bookmark and the presence of other pics prove it’s Hunter’s account? It makes it somewhat likely maybe but it isn’t proof. The man’s a provable crooked scumbag, there’s no need to bring forward things that might be incorrect.
That’s a risky pornhub search.
Strip club prank sign still up
A sign promoting plans to build a strip club, which was placed at a busy intersection in Epping as part of a prank, remains in place after a failed effort to get it removed.
Michael Fecteau brought in a bucket truck Tuesday afternoon to try to reach the sign posted on a utility pole near his property at the corner of routes 27 and 125, but the truck got stuck and had to be towed out.
“I couldn’t reach it with my bucket truck. It’s in a gully so it’s very difficult to get a vehicle in,” he said.
The sign that reads, “Opening Soon: Simple Pleasures Gentlemen’s Club,” has been the talk of the town since it appeared Monday morning.
So the pranksters managed to put the sign up, presumably with the added difficulty of not getting caught, but the owner can’t manage it when ordered to by the government? I smell “Sorry, I tried, guess this sign that I find hilarious will have to stay”
If you need a bucket truck to remove that sign I’d hate to watch you change a tire. a rope and a weight (hammer/rock) and I’d have that sign down in two minutes.
Risky link there.
Huh? Try this. It’s just a picture of the sign and pole from the article about it linked yesterday,
It is meta as hell. He got rid of the sign, just like he said he would.
At this point it’s just market research.
Last one. School defends decision to not have team wear masks
Portsmouth Christian Academy in Dover is defending its decision not to require its boys varsity soccer team to wear masks — a move that led Newmarket High School’s team of masked players to forfeit Monday’s tournament game.
In a statement issued Wednesday, PCA Athletic Director Derek Summers said that its athletes haven’t trained in masks this fall and that based on their experiences competing in masks, the school stuck to its own policy and guidance from the state and the New Hampshire Interscholastic Athletic Association’s guidance. Neither mandate masks during games.
“Changing standards and requiring masks for a tournament game at this point is unfair and, based on our assessment, not required,” he said.
Today at the entrance to Target I was asked by an employee if I had a mask. I replied that I wouldn’t put it on. He said “that’s fine” and I proceeded with my shopping. I should have responded like this more often.
Some of the more puzzling videos on masks were from early on where you had Walmart door greeters trying to block customer entry…physically. I find it hard to believe that anyone at the corporate level signed off on that shit and that people didn’t lose their jobs for it.
The typical corporate weasel route on things like this is to mandate masks, and then give the employees no actual means of enforcement beyond polite reminders. So I’m guessing you wouldn’t get much resistance most places if you just say no. Of course, you could just hide behind the ADA.
And I am off to build a bonfire in our firepit. We have marshmallows and hot dogs to lend us the veneer of doing something other than burning to get rid of stuff.
Ya! We also are going to pollute the air tonight. Enjoy Mo!
You too!
In my case, I have neighbors that would be only too delighted to call the fire department about our burning. Thus, the weenees and marshmallows.
Good call…plausible deniability
And the weenies will mask the smell of the burning bones! You do make your bonfires the old fashioned way right?
That was a short-lived bonfire. I have nothing to start it with (weirdly, all matches and lighters have disappeared).
I asked you to please not mention the ones-bay in my ire-fay.
newspaper + coconut oil + fire (if you don’t have fire, start it on the stove and carry).
Who has newspaper anymore? *looks at wet shoes sadly Newspaper was really useful, webpages just don’t soak up puppy pee, clean car windows, or stuff wet shoes nearly as well.

You can order yourself a stash.
You can get newsprint/packing at Walmart in their office supplies section.
Misspelling Fae may draw their ire. Better have a bon
efire to drive them away! What are you burning? Bras? Bank statements? Hunter Biden’s emails?
“Bra”? I do not know this word.
Just put up a BLM sign and everything is cool. Then call any complaining neighbors “racist.”

Good.
4 down, 25,000 or so to go.
Don’t mean nuthin’.
I will accept token prosecutions in lieu of no prosecutions.
As I see more and more about community leaders, religious leaders and media outlets of the Black community express this…I am thinking that 31% for Trump might be true and maybe even low.

Twenty percent absolute tops. TOPS! (I hope I’m wrong)
Lil Wayne endorses Trump.

That will have some in an Uproar.
What!
Aborted afternoon cardio on the treadmill at the gym. Since the gyms re-opened a bout a month and a half ago, the gym hasn’t required masks while on the treadmill. That changed per the state’s health department, you know have to wear a mask while running on the treadmill.
So cardio returns outdoors, though the weather has improved. The bigger immediate issue is I don’t like this much as a leading indicator. I suspect gyms are about to get closed down for a _third_ time despite hospitalizations and deaths at very, very low numbers.
And that likely should kill most of them off. I mean what the hell are they supposed to do?
I’ve had a treadmill at home for the last nine years. Very convenient.
My gym got visited.
The Clown Prince’s rules require staff wear masks at all times. Members have to wear masks in the lobby area while entering/exiting.
The staff used to only wear masks while they were in the lobby area.
The other day I had an appointment with the trainer and saw he was wearing a mask. I said to him, “Hi, I see you got visited by a bunch of assholes.”
He said to me, “You want to get madder? I’ll tell you who sold us out.”
I said, “Who?”
He said, “A member.”
A member took a picture of one of the staff at the front desk not wearing a mask. The member turned the picture over to the Board of Health. The Board of Health paid my gym a visit. They said a member took a picture of staff not wearing a mask at the front desk and reminded the staff of the Clown Prince’s guidance.. err… edicts. The Board of Health refused to show the manager the picture or identify the member. No word on whether or not the Board cited my gym.
So, the staff wear masks all the time now.
The whole “public health” loophole is a nice way to prevent you from facing your accuser, huh?

Crashing a Biden ralley.
At first I thought he was a dick, but he held with it and had me chuckling by the end.
That’s a lot of people for a Biden rally.
I don’t see any circles, I don’t think gropey was there.
