IFLA: The “Watch Out for Dirty Needles” Edition of the Horoscope for the week of November 15

by | Nov 15, 2020 | Advice, IFLA | 114 comments

Once again, the planetaty positions are just meaningless movement making them pointless for pontificating about.  I wish somethimes that I was corrupt enough to engage in the pseudoscience of Nu-astrology so at least I could tell you about the counterreflection of Lillith and its affect on Ceres, but what would be the point of giving Celectial Advice that isn’t worth anything?

All is not completely lost in the skies though, as there is a lot of meaning packed into a realtively narrow band of the sky.  For Scorpios in general, it’s a time of very good luck.  For the world at large, there are recommendations to engage in trickery and misdirection instead of direct confrontation.  There are also warning that this is a time of increased poisonings and also a heightened risk of puncture wounds.  It is also a time of success for Winston’s Mom and her colleagues.  For those whose love life is more a personal issue than a professional one, it it a time to temporarily rebalance things in that department.

Lots of money in the cards this week.

Scorpio:  7 of Coins reversed – Cause for anxiety regarding money

Sagittarius:  10 of Coins – Gain, riches, family matters, archives, extraction, the abode of a family

Capricorn:  Ace of Wands – Creation, invention, enterprise, principle, beginning, source, birth, family, origin

Aquarius:  King of Swords reversed – Cruelty, perversity, barbarity, perfidy, evil intention.

Pisces:  3 of Coins reversed -Mediocrity, puerility, pettiness, weakness.

Aries:  Page of Wands – Dark young man, faithful, a lover, an envoy, a postman

Taurus:  5 of Cups – Loss but something remains over, inheritance, patrimony, transmission but not corresponding to expectations

Gemini:  9 of Coins –  Prudence, safety, success, accomplishment, certitude, discernment.

Cancer:  2 of Swords – Conformity, equipoise, courage, friendship, concord in a state of arms

Leo:  7 of Cups – Fairy favours, images of reflection, sentiment, imagination, some attainment but nothing permanent

Virgo:  The World reversed – Inertia, fixity, stagnation, permanence.

Libra:  6 of Coins – Presents, gifts, gratification, attention, vigilance

Aries: Page of Wands – Dark young man, faithful, a lover, an envoy, a postman

    Go on…

    • KOVIDKristen

(also, how young? 50 would be ideal. Is 50 young?)

      • Ted S.

50 is older than I am, so yes, it’s still young.

      • C. Anacreon

I was told when turning 50 that I shouldn’t be sad, the 50s are your greatest decade. And I must say that I can’t disagree, the 50s have been wonderful. Sadly, in 19 days I will hit the big six-oh, and I understand it’s only downhill from there.

      • Tundra

You’re only as old as your back.

        Keep lifting!

      • Suthenboy

Why do you think babies scream and cry when they are born? It’s downhill from there and they know it.

    • juris imprudent

I was thinking as I read that up above, this must be KK‘s week, not mine.

    • blackjack

Sounds like an advice column from the Sun to me… something, something, personal trainer..

      • KOVIDKristen

        Dear Penthouse…

      • dbleagle

Aries doesn’t do anything for me. Is there a cis-hetero shitlord version?

        But good for KK!

Scorpio: 7 of Coins reversed – Cause for anxiety regarding money

So I guess I SHOULD call my financial advisor about the largest of my retirement accounts. Seriously – how hard is it for a website to show you a rolling 12-month RoR?? >: (

Sagittarius: 10 of Coins – Gain, riches, family matters, archives, extraction, the abode of a family

Does this mean I’m gonna have to move in with my brother in Texas?

  5. Suthenboy

    I just cant win.

    *sigh*

    • Suthenboy

We sure have a lot of scorpios around here.

NA, that one is right on the money.

  6. Scruffy Nerfherder

Capricorn: Ace of Wands – Creation, invention, enterprise, principle, beginning, source, birth, family, origin

    *squints suspiciously*

    This must be a trap.

    • blackjack

      My thought exactly.

    • hayeksplosives

I’m hoping it means my “retired” husband will get off his duff and do more around the house.

    • Scruffy Nerfherder

Something fucky is definitely going on.

If they can compare paper ballots to the machine count it would be easy to prove.

      • blackjack

I did absentee and dropped it in a box. The primary was a clusterfuck of huge proportions. There were 4 hour lines. They reduced the amount of polling places to a third of the previous. They drastically increased mail in ballots and harvesting became the primary way for ballots to be collected. All of the previously solid red seats flipped in ’18 when harvesting became accepted. I believe that this year, the focus was on Biden and that’s why some of them flipped back. There was a huge red wave and Cali style cheating is what gave Joe his “win.” I’m shocked that the whole country allowed this shady assed bullshit to proliferate.

      • C. Anacreon

I’m still having a hard time understanding the argument in favor of ballot harvesting, it seems so ripe for abuse. Of course, if it helps your party, I can see why some would be in favor… but actually explaining what it is, I can’t see an average person hearing “let’s give one person the legal ability to collect ballots on other’s behalf” and think it’s anything but an opportunity for fraud.

    • The Gunslinger

I have voted in Michigan for 20 years at the same location. We had the same machine we have always had. You color in the box for your candidate and slide the leading end of the ballot in and the machine pulls it in.

The one thing that seemed different to me was the ballot had rectangles to fill in where I usually remember ovals. Also I thought the ballot used to have clear instructions to darken the entire oval. This year there was no direction. I actually asked a poll worker if I was supposed to fill in the rectangle or make a check mark or X.

      • Drake

Well, if that piece of paper still exists, it can be counted by a person instead of a suspicious machine.

      • blackjack

Yeah, we didn’t even get a receipt like years past. Just some webpage where it says, ” your vote was counted!” Wonder what would happen if it actually informed someone that their vote was not counted?

We only need one Horoscope for everyone from now on. We will all be locked in our houses until we die. Of course, it will be worse for Capricorns, but besides that…

    • Ayn Random Variation

Word is that PA will be locked down starting Fri through Jan 1. Which means the whole winter most likely. I assume NJ, NY and others will do same thing. There are no words anymore.

      • Plinker762

WA is locking down tomorrow. For only four weeks this time so I assume that means a whole year.

      • Kwihn T. Senshel

Yup. I’m in WA, too. Really struggling with this, too. Don’t know how well I’ll be able to obey.

      • Sean

        Source?

      • DEG

This article comes from a restaurant in Philly that is worried about a new lock down. It’s Philly specific, not PA wide.

        No worries.

DId you take your lesson yet?

      • Ayn Random Variation

Yup. I have my target paper hung in my bedroom. Now I need to get my carry permit, which as you know is not needed in the rest of PA.

      • UnCivilServant

        I’ve never been ‘Underweight’.

      • Trigger Hippie

Ship me some fat! Apparently, I’ve lost nearly ten pounds over the last month. Too many vegetables and far less sugars and booze in my diet lately. I feel better, but god, do I look thin! Not healthy so.

      • blackjack

My doctor asked me if I have always been underweight. I told him no, I used to be average weight. He then asked what I used to weigh. I told him that I’ve always weighed the same. He looked perplexed for a moment and then realized what I meant and laughed. I used to be at the low end of average, but now they’ve adjusted average and they say I’m underweight. My weight hasn’t changed by more than 5 lbs since I was 16. Well, maybe 8. I am less strong since I turned 50 or so.

    NPR wants you to know

Experts say “free speech” approach lets false claims flourish

As a result of that lax approach to content moderation, experts who study online misinformation say false and misleading claims about the election that are being pushed off other platforms are popping up on Parler.

That includes the hashtag #StopTheSteal, which is being used to organize protests and perpetuate baseless claims of voter fraud. Facebook has removed several Stop the Steal groups, some of which had amassed hundreds of thousands of members.

Shannon McGregor, who studies social media at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, said the misinformation already thriving on Parler is cause for alarm.

“What we’ve seen in the past with some of these other fringe or alternative social media sites is, if there’s no rules and if it’s really siloed, then what happens is it gets more and more extreme,” she said.

    Freedom is Slavery.

    Ignorance is Strength.

    • C. Anacreon

I wonder if they had the phrase “baseless claims of voter fraud” ready to go before the election. Every mainstream news program used this exact terminology almost immediately after Biden took the lead. It’s now required in any broadcast, never something like “Trump suggests voting issues”, no, it’s always “baseless claims”. I guess inserting “Trump said without evidence” after each quote wasn’t testing as well with the consumer panels.

By the way, see if you can find any example of the MSM reporting any single claim from a Democrat in the past four years as ‘baseless’ or ‘without evidence’. It means Adam Schiff can lie with impunity but his word never is questioned on the nightly news.

Truly The Media Is The Enemy.

      • Plinker762

They prepped the battle space with “Red Mirage” so “baseless claims of voter fraud” would be a logical next step.

So, just out of curiosity, I found a page that lists all of the voting systems, by county, in Cali. In the ’16 election, the last one that went us expected ( per usual, anyway) there was only one or two counties using dominion systems. In ’18 ( when the blue wave took out all of the traditional red seats left) almost all of them had switched. This year, mostly Dominion. By my assessment, ’16 was the last normal election in CA. I think they might be on to something with this Dominion thing. It’s all right here.

    • blackjack

I’m not saying correlation=causation, but our elections went even sharper left as soon as the Dominion system was implemented. I know Georgia just started using their Dominion in the primaries this year. First time they went blue for pres in 30 years. Dunno about the other states.

      • blackjack

By even sharper left, I mean we lost 7, yes seven, seats to the dems, more than any other state. Twice as many as any other state.
