    • C. Anacreon

      Hey!

      Blindy found a nut.

It’s the only way he can get a nut.

‘Starting at midnight Glibtime, I’ll be taking the site down so I can do some upgrading without anyone using the site at the same time.

At the time of this writing, around 1800 Glibtime, the site has already had over 10k page views today, breaking the previous record…set yesterday. ?

In October we had 199,000 pageviews, and we are already over 25,000 in November.

I’m not saying it was aliens…’

I thought to myself: “Jesus Tap Dancing Christ on Rubber Fucking Crutches, tonight of all nights?! The End Is Nigh!”.

But then I thought: “Given the cruelty of the common sense of humor here, I call shenanigans”….shenanigans, and well played.

      • Bobarian LMD

We’re only cruel because we’re sadists.

  2. leon

So what maps are you following?

    • Ownbestenemy

PJ Media for me along with their live blog.

    • C. Anacreon

      Thomas Guide?

      • blackjack

Every interview I’ve gotten with the city has had a section on Thomas guide usage. It’s like they only wanna hire old people, or something.

    • J. Frank Parnell

      lol it’s 2020 use GPS

    • trshmnstr the terrible

none. Y’all are my information conduit. We’re putting up our Christmas stuff because we expect baby to be along any moment and dont want to fart around with decorating while dealing with a 2 week old.

      • Gustave Lytton

Neighbors down the block had their outdoor lights and display up yesterday.

      • Lackadaisical

We put up or Diwali lights, pretty sure everyone thinks I was putting out Christmas lights. ..

    • Rebel Scum

FNC. Has a pretty good interface.

    • Mojo Jojo

      I’m not. I’m pretending tonight isn’t happening.

  3. J. Frank Parnell

    IMPORTANT BREAKING ELECTION NIGHT UPDATE:

I’m making chicken tacos for dinner.

    • pistoffnick

      flour or corn?

      soft or hard?

I was a soft, flour guy.

      • J. Frank Parnell

        Soft.

Corn for me, flour for wife and kids.

  4. leon

Fox seems to show Trump being stomped pretty much everywhere. He’ looks to be losing Ohio.

    • Hyperion

OH is within a couple points and only 45% of the vote in.

    • Ownbestenemy

Kinda noticed that they are using the consensus polling data to change a state’s color when the polls close. FL is going to Trump unless something majorly drastic changes. FOX may have egg on their face unless the remaining vote in VA are overwhelmingly for Biden.

    • Florida Man

Whelp, let’s see how the senate and house races go. Hopefully they can knee cap sleepy Joe and limit him to raiding the public coffers and forget about all the civil rights he promised to shit on.

    • Semi-Spartan Dad

Fox seems to be more even now with Tucker on. Hemmer and Wallace were giddy about how Trump was getting “crushed” in FL… “Look at how Trump is down 10k in this small county compared at this point in 2016” while ignoring he was blowing Miami-Dade out of the water. They also went on and on about how Trump isn’t doing well with women while ignoring a similar gap with Biden for men.

Someone noted 538 predicted FL for Biden with 70% probability.

      • Ownbestenemy

        RI for Trump?!

    • Hyperion

Also, I keep forgetting, the democrats started out with a big lead in the absentee ballots, so the Rs are going to be catching up all day. I think that’s what seems a little off.

  5. LCDR_Fish

Got the fox news site open – lets you look at states by counties, etc.

Good livestreams – Sargon is pretty good, Joe Rogan’s got a good discussion going on. Styx does too.

Waiting to see if Razorfist does one.

    • blighted_non_millenial

Razorfist has countdown on his stream. Goes live in about 30 minutes.

    • blighted_non_millenial

Razor’s youtube is playing bump/intro music now.

      • LCDR_Fish

        see it now.

  6. Hyperion

Damnit, I want Trump to win NH. DEG, do something!

    • Bobarian LMD

      Vote harder!

      • Sean

        And more often!

  7. Fourscore

SP’s shuttin’ ‘er down at midnight for an overhaul. Too many lurkers, she’s canceling all prescriptions, we’re in trouble with TPTB.

Anyway, thanks SP, I have great confidence that you’ll clean up the mess these ne’er-do- wells have created.

    • leon

She’s going to issue Proscription lists?

    • Jerms

Does that mean i cant lurk anymore? 2020 is the worst.

    • Count Potato

I doubt we’ll know who won by midnight. Last year I think was around 2 AM glibs time.

      • Hyperion

I thought it was later than that. I was up until 5am.

      • Count Potato

I remember I was sort of half asleep.

      • Brochettaward

Nah. We really knew that Trump took it by like 9 or 10. When states like Wisconsin went Trump it was over.

    • Agent Cooper

I was told there are no TPTB.

  8. leon

Wow. Is Texas really going to go Blue?

    • UnCivilServant

You may want to find a different source if they’re claiming that at this time of the night.

What time do Texas polls close?

    • Hyperion

Look at the map. A huge majority of counties are at 0% reporting.

    • Ownbestenemy

Those were the big cities. Looks like much or rural Texas hasn’t reported in. Looks shaky but not down and out.

    • Breet Pharara

80% of Harris and Dallas County in. Large area unreported elsewhere. Texas is safe.

    • leon

I’m really confused. The stuff i’m showing is saying Texas has an estimated 52-60% of Texas vote in. This is PJ Media

      • Ownbestenemy

Honestly I wish all States would remain grey until they can statistically confirm who won, but that isn’t the world we live in. So PJ Media throws little diagonal lines to indicate “blue” is winning so far, not that they are leaning blue.

      • Breet Pharara

It’s a spectator sport now. For better or worse.

    • Rebel Scum

Next you’ll tell me Alaska will go blue as well…

  9. Plinker762

I’m not watching the election results except for here. At least until we crash.

Stupid Alaska and their requirement for a COVID test 72 hrs before departing. No local places doing rapid tests for peons so I had to order one online.

  10. Not Adahn

This traffic– is it actual people or some weird thing from Cupertino and/or Mountain View?

    • Tonio

      Anne Arundel County, Maryland.

  11. Ownbestenemy

MI leaning Trump….RI? VA is looking interesting unless fat wads of votes pile in for Biden. OH is still…who knows.

    • leon

The Map looks nothing like i predicted.

      • Ownbestenemy

VA is interesting with the Senate races…

    • Breet Pharara

Fairfax hasn’t counted at all. I was hoping VA could flip, but it isn’t looking great.

    • Rebel Scum

      Still only a third reporting.

Gade is leading Warner by a lot. Likewise for Benjamin over McEachin (I’m in Va 4).

What tends to happen, at least for president/senate, is that R’s have to have massive leads to hold over before NoVa/Hampton finish reporting.

      • Rebel Scum

Probably wishful thinking that my house rep and senator will be upset by the challengers.

      • Rebel Scum

        This is interesting.

        R Nick Freitas 118,265 60.48%
        D Abigail Spanberger 77,266 39.52%
        Reporting 87.93% in

      • Rebel Scum

        Virginia 7th.

      • Rebel Scum

Yes. VA state elections are in odd number years.

Scamberger unseated Dave Brat. It’ll be fun watching her unseated after one term.

      • KOVIDKristen

        Scamberger unseated Dave Brat.

        OMG that’s delicious

      • UnCivilServant

I have a state senator and a congresscritter on the ballot this year. So I had to ask (I can’t keep track of everyone’s electoral schedule).

      • Ted S.

Does VA count absentee/mail-in ballots after Election Day?

      • Rebel Scum

I’m not sure. Could swing things I guess.

      • Tonio

Freitas is running as an (R) but he’s pretty hardcore libertarian. He also seems like a genuinely nice person.

Spanberger is loathsome, a true swamp creature. I’d love to see her ousted after one term.

      • LCDR_Fish

Looks like at least 3 house pickups in VA

    • Jerms

I thought Fox already called Virginia for Biden?

      • Ownbestenemy

They did, based on past models. I don’t think this is a year to use those models as they are probably not going to hold up for both teams.

      • Hyperion

Have you ever seen an exit poll prediction overturned? I’m not sure that I have.

      • Ownbestenemy

2000 I believe…when Al Gore pointed to them..could be wrong though.

      • Rebel Scum

I’m not buying it. Va has been blue in the past few presidential elections but it has been relatively close (if I remember correctly…). Time will tell.

    • LCDR_Fish

Yeah, for VA, hard to figure out the numbers – nice to see Gade leading for Sen.

They’re saying 33% total reporting, but hard to see where dems would pull it out based on the other % remaining up in NoVa, etc.

      • LCDR_Fish

Other weird stuff with VA. They’re reporting only 37% overall reporting(???) – but enough to call the ballot proposals with 70+%….weird computers.

      • Ownbestenemy

Fox is going to have egg on their face for the races they called in VA I think. Maybe not the presidential, but probably some congressional.

  12. kinnath

I will turn on the TV around 10:30 or 11:00 CST tonight. By then, they might be able to call the Iowa races. Probably closer to midnight.

1 am or 2 am, we might get a sense of how the presidential election is going. Maybe.

  13. Not Adahn

NYT is saying >95% chance Trumpf wins FL. But that’s NBD if he does

Biden wins 0, Trump wins 3 BEST GUESS
Either candidate could win. And it could take days or longer to know.
    56%
Biden wins 1, Trump wins 2 BEST GUESS
A Biden win is likely. Trump needs the Midwest to keep his chances alive.
    39%
Biden wins 2, Trump wins 1 BEST GUESS
A decisive Biden win is likely. Trump needs a big surprise win to hang on.
    6%
Biden wins 3, Trump wins 0 BEST GUESS
A blowout Biden win is likely. Texas and Ohio may be in play.

    • Urthona

In Texas? hmm. I’m a Texan. This exact same thing happened last time with Beto.

Don’t get me wrong. Trump is not popular here. He’s a new york asshole. nobody really likes him. just look at the margin between him and senator cornyn.

But i don’t think texas is really “in play”.

      • Ownbestenemy

Biden is tracking Hillary numbers or less at this point 4-years ago. I don’t think he is going to pick up more. TX will stay in Trumps corner. However, Trump lose PA and OH he is going to have to pick up WI or MN and AZ or NV

  14. Breet Pharara

Trump up to 2.2 lead in FL. Can he get to 2.5? 3?

    • Hyperion

      2.7 now.

      • Hyperion

        Now 3.1

      • Hyperion

        Now 3.5

    • Sean

      Lol. Nicely done.

  15. LJW

I swear Fox intentionally manipulates the reporting to make it seem more dramatic. They should add football announcers and it would be the perfect amount of drama.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

Fox really is as bad as the left says, just for different reasons.

  16. Gustave Lytton

Ok, where are the first riots to happen?

    • Count Potato

      Portland?

      • Ownbestenemy

They stopped? Can they be first riots is they never quit?

      • Gustave Lytton

They mostly come out at night…mostly…

      • Lachowsky

Do continuing riots count as new riots?

  17. Lachowsky

If voting mattered, they would never let us do it.

    • KSuellington

Mark Twain had all kinds of wisdom.

  18. The Late P Brooks

At the time of this writing, around 1800 Glibtime, the site has already had over 10k page views today, breaking the previous record…set yesterday. ?

In October we had 199,000 pageviews, and we are already over 25,000 in November.

    Alright, who squealed?

    • UnCivilServant

It’s all Brochetta hammering F5 on multiple windows.

      • pistoffnick

Brings back memories of belting out “I Wish I Had A Pencil Thin Mustache” with Lorrae while we slaved away in the kitchen.

  19. Shpip

So my Freedom Caucus congresscritter decided not to run again. His former chief of staff won his former seat handily tonight, much to the chagrin of all the bien-pissants in Big College town.

She’s 32 and blonde. Think she’ll get the same fawning coverage as 31-year old AOC?

    • creech

Only if she starts dressing like Ilsa, the bitch of Belsen.

    • Ted S.

Based on the coverage Elise Stefanik gets, no.

  20. creech

What’s wrong with Texans? Just talked with a friend who works a precinct in Midland (awl country). Trump smashed Biden…but the margin is 2% less than it was when he ran against Hillary. The margin is about what it was for Cruz v. Beto. If Biden takes Texas, this country is in for a long, rough ride.

    • Urthona

I think Trump will win but it’ll be tighter than usual because the president is a moron who sucks donkey balls.

      • leon

In every sense of that word.

      • Ownbestenemy

Well ya…but he is better than the other donkey turd stomper.

      • Count Potato

Or because all these people moved there from blue states?

      • Urthona

Eh, the margin between Trump and Cornyn (Republican senator) should be about 4%. Trump is unusually unpopular here for a Republican.

      • Count Potato

        I wonder why?

    • Gadfly

So, now with 80% in, TX looks like it swung 3 pts towards Biden, but Trump only lost 0.5 pts from where he was last time. The “never Trumpers” came home to the Ds, but TX is not a swing state (yet). *wipes brow in relief*

  21. The Late P Brooks

    I’m watching Thor.

If I seriously thought I’d get to see Chuck Todd and Joe Scarborough slit their wrists on live teevee, I’d tune in to NBC’s election coverage.

    • JG43

That’s the only good one of the series. It’s kind of hilarious how he obviously can’t stand Portman.

      • Bill Door

        Personally, I quite like Ragnarok.

      • leon

I think its the best of the three.

    • Lachowsky

      Only if you are lucky.

  22. LJW

    Trump gonna lose North Carolina?

    • Ownbestenemy

NYT est 70% win for Trump.

  23. Hyperion

Well, they’re calling CO for Biden.

  24. Hyperion

Fox now giving Biden 95% chance of winning.

    • Count Potato

      Really?

  25. LJW

Can Trump take Florida by 4 points?

    • Breet Pharara

If every pollster isn’t fired for that state alone…That is a GIANT miss by them. Completely inexcusable regardless of anything else. Trump now at +3

      • Hyperion

It’s 3.3 now, more than 400k votes, I think FL is a lock for Trump.

      • Breet Pharara

It was a lock before the election to anyone paying attention. Even then, this margin is ridiculous.

      • Hyperion

Ohio and NC not looking good for Trump. I don’t think he can lose OH and win.

      • Breet Pharara

Calm…calm. Trust me. Everything is going exactly as it needed to for Trump to win. Give those states time.

      • Hyperion

Yep, both NC and OH tightening now and FL he has pulled away.

      • Semi-Spartan Dad

NYT is giving Trump 90% chance of winning NC. Charlotte and the Triangle have all been counted. The remaining votes are mostly red rural. Can’t see their probability for Ohio.

      • UnCivilServant

If the cities have been counted and Trump is ahead, he’s won the state.

      • mrfamous

NYT has stuck only with NC, GA and FL, as their argument is the mail-in and absentee balloting in other states makes trying to read the incoming results as difficult.

      • leon

Yeah OH and NC are ones he really needs.

      • Agent Cooper

        Trump ahead in Ohio now.

  26. Rebel Scum

FNC may have jumped the gun on VA. Unless my info is incorrect, it looks like all population centers except Fairfax have fully reported and Trump is ahead by 18%.

Granted, idk how mail-in/absentee ballots factor in.

    • LCDR_Fish

Yeah, Fairfax City is the only one left aside from Hopewell and a couple other small spots. But they’re saying only 39% total reporting??? The numbers are all over.

      • Rebel Scum

        The numbers are all over.

That’s what I am seeing with others here viewing other maps and for other states. Strange.

For VA though, I’d like to think that Dem behavior at the federal level and also what Dems did upon gaining marginal control of the state government might have repercussions. I suppose we will see.

  27. Semi-Spartan Dad

Fox is giving Biden 90%+ probability of taking NC and Georgia. NYT is giving Trump 80%+ probability of the same. This is bizarre.

    • KSuellington

      What!? That is very weird.

    • Hyperion

It feels weird to say it, but NYT kicked everyone’s ass at that game last election.

      • Breet Pharara

I think it was Robert Barnes who said Fox had the worst polling desk of all the major networks.

      • Ownbestenemy

Yes they did. I used their tracker 4 years ago.

      • Trigger Hippie

You’re not wrong. Based on the the last cycle, My reflexive first site to check in regards to the presidential election was the NYT.

        Funny,that.

    • rhywun

      ? Lowered Expectations… ?

  28. Kwihn T. Senshel

Not having watched any of the 2016 Election Night Special – I ignored it, figuring Herself would win, then woke up in the morning and LOL’d – wondering if the early-ness of calling some of these races is par for the course?

It would seem that the contest to be the first channel to declare a winner for a given race would mean lots of egg-on-face moments, but who am I kidding; not like anyone is gonna remember which channel beclowned themselves first…

Oh, and “hi”. First actual comment to a post here (registered March 2017). Well, it’s not a First first, but you know what I mean.

In seriousness, this site from the beginning has been a mental refuge for me, especially recently during COVIDapalooza. Here and AIER have helped keep me sane and not wondering (more than normal) if I’m part of some some simulation or giant practical joke. Ugh.

    This oughta be fun.

  29. Rebel Scum

    Of course…

    Allow Vet Car Tax Exemption

    Yes 1,801,512 80.23%

    No 443,945 19.77%

    • LCDR_Fish

      100% disabled vet

    • Ownbestenemy

We have that in NV, but yeah you gotta have 30%+ disability to use it. So its not all that bad and honestly, you got messed up by the Gov.

  30. The Bearded Hobbit

My post got sent somewhere around Neptune.

Local teevee station has Biden winning with 0% precincts checking in.

It’s a given, of course, NM has gone hard blue.

    • UnCivilServant

I don’t care what the past was, at 0%, you can’t call it.

      • The Bearded Hobbit

The people who surround me gave NM’s 5 EC votes to The Criminal in 2016. Our state government made a hard turn left in 2018. I can’t imagine that things have gotten much better in two years.

I couldn’t get any of my pals to take me up on the bet about my vote. State rep, state senator, federal rep and senator will all be D’s. Not a god damn thing in the universe that I can do about it.

      • UnCivilServant

Still, you at least need some returns.

      • Plinker762

Thompson Falls and Murray are calling for a Glib takeover.

      • The Bearded Hobbit

I will be in Thompson Falls on Saturday. Glib meetup?

      • Plinker762

I’m flying to Anchorage on Saturday otherwise I would. Business calls.

      • The Bearded Hobbit

I’ll be there through the end of the year so keep me in mind.

      • Plinker762

Once the snow starts flying in the mountains, I’m over that way quite often.

      • Ted S.

According to RCP, TEAM RED took NM-2.

      • leon

I’ll call CA for Biden without seeing a single vote.

      • dbleagle

I’m calling Hawaii’s 4 EC votes for Biden and the polls have still three hours.

    • JG43

It bounced off the Klingons circling Uranus?

  31. Ownbestenemy

Fox News I think really really hates Trump. They are claiming House leads even though 2 time zones haven’t closed polling yet. So much for responsible reporting.

    • Rebel Scum

So much for them being the evil, right-wing propaganda network.

      • Gustave Lytton

They’ve been skinsuited years ago. Mask is really coming off now. Even my non-political wife noticed today.

    • Drake

I won’t watch anything with that asshole Chris Wallace. I watch Fox Business – they have much better people.

    • Gender Traitor

I have FNC on with the sound off and ignoring most of their check marks.

  32. Ownbestenemy

Trump pulling forward in TX, NC…OH tightening. PA is a clusterfuck. MI looking strong for trump and down ticket race. VA…oh VA.

    • LCDR_Fish

Ok….I think it’s a couple of tiny 0% reporting city districts (rural towns) that are throwing off the total % reported. 0% of x #s drops the total a lot.

    • Hyperion

PA is too early. Trump up now in TX, and up by nearly 4 in FL.

      • mrfamous

My guess is it will still be too early to tell in Pennsylvania by December 15.

      • trshmnstr the terrible

“Were still getting ballots in and the postmarks are all smudged!”

      • Caput Lupinum

My, aren’t you optimistic. PA will be to 2020 what Florida was to 2000.

      • Drake

They purposefully made it a total cluster fuck.

      • leon

Every time i look at TX Biden is still up by a ten-thousand votes

      • Drake

        Not any more.

  33. Mojo Jojo

If I weren’t working, I’d have this on repeat.

    • kinnath

      Nice

      • kinnath

        I have been corrupted.

Listening to the song, and it crosses my mind I could turn it into another one of my stories.

      • Mojeaux

You caught the bug. There is no cure.

      • kinnath

Thankfully, I am old and won’t have to live with it that long. 😉

    • rhywun

      LOL

      • Mojeaux

        Right?!

    • But Enough About My Wild Culinary Fantasies

Excellent choice. I feel that way every time I think upon how lucky I was to have met the spousal unit when I did (it was a pivotal time in my young life). Things could’ve gone very south, very quickly otherwise . . .

        Bill was amazing.

A friend of mine dropped a few years ago (at age 50!) and this beautiful song was played at the end of the funeral. I got pretty choked up.

What song will you have your people play at yours?

        I’m thinking this for mine.

    • The Hyperbole

A shit load weirder and without any soul… other than that same vibe.

      • Mojeaux

I don’t know what vibrator you’re using but clearly you need new batteries.

  34. Hyperion

Wow, I don’t like nail biters, but I’ll take it. Ohio now a .1 race and NC less than 1 pt.

    • Kwihn T. Senshel

I don’t like the nail because I’m thinking they’ll be well within the margin of fraud.

  35. Jerms

An hour ago you could have bet $100 and won $180 on Trump. First time now hes a favorite. $130 wins you $100.

Yeah Fox is starting to rethink that early call. Who knows…but that shows everyone should shut them off for the rest of the night.

      • Rebel Scum

        From MSNBC:

        L. Benjamin 53.5% 77,536

        D. McEachin INCUMBENT 46.5% 67,350

        34% In

        Idk what to believe.

  38. robc

Charleston House race tightening. 24% in and D incumbent up by less than a point. He tried to run as far away from the Dem Party as possible.

His slogan was “Low Country over Party”.

I thought Covid-19 closed The Gap in VA.

  43. mrfamous

The NYT seems certain that Trump will win North Carolina despite Biden’s current lead. Have him at over 95% there.

    • Ownbestenemy

They are pulling numbers from the SoS websites and compiling as fast as they are reported, so we get a lag so to speak on map updates.

  44. Ownbestenemy

Trump pulling ahead in TX, holding firm in NM so far, but we know that one is most likely a Dem win. GA, NC will go Trump. MI is strong, WI has been back and forth.

OH Trump starting to pull in the numbers and same with PA.

Unless something drastic happens, it is nearly 2016 again.

    • The Other Kevin

Are we in for “how did we get it so wrong” v2?

      • Ownbestenemy

Honestly, who knows. I think they are still using 2008 polling methods, didn’t update since 2016, thinking it was an outlier. Hispanics are leaning Trump. Gained on the black vote. Old people went Biden along with people named “Karen”.

      • Mojeaux

And, as they did 4 years ago, they will fail to grasp some self-awareness that THEY did this–and they’ll double down.

  45. LCDR_Fish

Earlier today it was $100 wins you $750 betting Trump to win popular vote.

    • Drake

I had no idea. I would have made that bet.

  48. The Late P Brooks

Trump now -235. $235 to win $100. Big favorite now.

    Interesting.

  49. Count Potato

I’m amazed it is this close. Not that Trump won by much before. Social media banned/cancelled many of the pro-Trump influencers (eg. Milo) that I think made a big difference against Hillary. Since then, Trump has delivered on most of his promises, and has been good on “it’s the economy, stupid” kitchen table issues that most people care about. Biden has barely campaigned. How many times has he called a lid?

I’m thinking if it wasn’t for covid Trump would have won in a landslide.

    • creech

No covid, landslide. But would he have been running against Biden or a real sacrificial lamb?

  50. robc

Mace(R) now leads in Charleston house race with 28% in. Still too close to call.

  51. The Bearded Hobbit

      Zoom, zoom

  53. mrfamous

From a neutral point of view, absentee and mail in ballots being so massively skewed to one side is a major problem. Because that ultimately encourages a massive amount of resources being put in by both sides in either expanding or limiting such voting, regardless of what the “ideal” proportion of such voting actually is (if we could know such a thing). It’s an ideal situation for abuses from either side.

    • Drake

      That’s the purpose of them.

    • Gustave Lytton

That’s the assumption, but is it actually borne out?

    • Agent Cooper

I would like to see studies of how many of those requests actually make it back into being submitted. I’m willing to believe it’s smaller than many think.

  54. LCDR_Fish

on Fox map, MN, RI and VA (and MD) are all blue but numbers favor Trump.

    • Count Potato

      Isn’t RI usually deep blue?

      • LCDR_Fish

Yeah, but like VA, current numbers favor Trump. Will probably swing, but interesting – since they called it so early.

      • Ownbestenemy

Yes. Still a long way to go on their reporting though.

VA I think is going to be pulled back as a call for Biden and Trump will talk away with it. He has been 250K-300K behind on votes all night with no gains as more polling places report in. Given, Fairfax county is at ~30% reporting in, that could change really quickly.

      • LCDR_Fish

Fairfax County has 99% complete on the Fox map – I don’t think there’s much left – the % is just thrown off by the averages and a couple of rural 0s.

It really is playing out like 2016 unless…..the absentee/mail-in are the game changer. Which is what the Dems/MediaPsyOps have been hammering away as what will put Biden over the top.

Red Mirage on ED, Blue Tsunami of Mail-in Ballots or whatever they are saying.

      • Agent Cooper

Some of the leads will seem too great and I think a lot of people would be suspicious of Biden overcoming a 200k+ deficit in key states.

  70. Hyperion

The only thing I can make of this election so far, is that Biden leads early in a lot of states because of all the early voting and mail in ballots. And then he starts losing because of people actually voting on election day.

And the media is not going to let it go. They will not even admit that Biden cannot win FL. Fucking pathetic.

    https://www.cnn.com/politics/live-news/election-results-and-news-11-03-20/index.html?iid=politics_election_national_map

Bash went on to explain that the Biden campaign appears to have underperformed with Latino voters because of the Trump campaign’s work to paint Biden as a socialist had been effective.

“I’ll tell you what [the Biden campaign] thinks went wrong is that the Trump attacks have worked,” said Bash. “Calling the Democrats socialist worked with people in that area, in particular.”

CNN’s Abby Phillip concurred, saying turnout among Latino voters will likely be the area of study for Democrats, once the election is settled.

“What is happening in Florida, I can tell you, Democrats are not happy about it,” said Phillip. “At the end of the day, the situation in Miami-Dade is something that in the autopsy of this election they will be looking back at and trying to figure out what went wrong.”

It worked because it’s true, you dumb cunte. The Democrats are totally in for socialism, and not the soft kind either.

    • Mojeaux

Because they had to be told. Uh huh. Right. Sure.

      • Gustave Lytton

The stupid Cubans can’t figure that shit out for themselves.

      • Shpip

You’d be surprised. The Cubans who came over from ’59-62 are ancient, if not already dead. Hell, even the Operation Peter Pan kids are grandparents now. Two generations of their kids going through the Dade County government youth propaganda camps have turned a bunch of young to middle aged Cubans into standard lefties.

Add to that the folks from Puerto Rico who largely staffed Disney World’s hotel boom in the 80s-90s, and you have a lot of Hispanics who aren’t exactly in the monolithic anti-Castro right-wing stereotype.

Kudos to the Repubs for actively reaching out to them. It worked for Scott and DiSantis, and appears to have worked for DJT.

    • Gustave Lytton

Now Acosta is whining about being on the outside of the White House. Go fuck yourself, you POS. You’ve been stoking up the rhetoric and violence for years now, so much that the RNC has moved their watch party out of DC and has the White House even more protected than usual.

That’s what I thought, and, wondered why OMB no stomp them. I reckon those three possibilities are each solid guesses. None good, but, still.

    • Caput Lupinum

Donny Two-Scoops won’t get everything he wants from congress passed and rubber stamped by the courts, wants to end our at least diminish our adventures in nation building, and is mildly more amusing. Is he better? Yes. Is he good? Absolutely not. Does the difference matter? Personal opinion.

Frankly, I’ve given up on having enough people that are even remotely intelligent in charge of the federal government that the policies we need to save the country will ever happen. Best bet is to hope the rest of the world collapses faster than we do and we can be the king of shit mountain.

    • Fatty Bolger

Maybe not much. But Biden would only be a figurehead for people who are far worse.

    • pistoffnick

      I’m with you, Lachowsky.

I don’t see any difference. They are both lifelong fuck-ups. One does it by “negotiating the deals” and stiffing the contractors he hires. The other does it by normal political graft. Either way I fucking lose.

I think it is poor political hygiene to place that much power in one person.

Live your own live as best you can. Ignore the state as best you can. Be good to your neighbors as best you can.

      • Sir Digby Classic

Ignore the state as best you can

While I heartily agree with this, it seems to me that there is one candidate/one party that is bound and determined to ensure you cannot ignore the State, and will be giving your all for it.

Let’s face it–after seeing the actual communists is BLM/Antifa/Portland politics/etc., if people still vote in the Dems, there will be no place to hide, and likely no quarter given.

      • slumbrew

there is one candidate/one party that is bound and determined to ensure you cannot ignore the State

        Very much this.

        Least-worst is a rational choice.

      • Sir Digby Classic

I f’ing hate that I’m in the position to have to rationalize it. I felt that I could get away with not voting at all, as that is becoming my default position, and did not do so in ’16.

After seeing what the Left in the US is willing to do, especially when it comes to open communism (yeah, yeah–I’m McCarthy), and the pure spite they are pouring out on anyone not wearing a red star, I had to pull the lever for OMB. Right or wrong.

      • Lackadaisical

        (yeah, yeah–I’m McCarthy)

Why be a McCarthy when you can be a Pinochet? Good, credit, bad credit, no credit, we will find the financing that is right for you!

      • Sir Digby Classic

Meh–nobody invokes Pinochet wrt hating communists. At least, not that I’ve ever seen.

  90. Hyperion

Fox has now taken down their election meter general election thingy. You dishonest fucking hacks.

Fox has been a disaster all night. It’s almost like they are working for the Lincoln Project.

  91. Rebel Scum

Warner is closing the gap. Dammit.

    • Semi-Spartan Dad

PJ is reporting VA will go the SC regardless. We may see some absentee ballots overturned for fraud in the courts.

  92. Rebel Scum

Trump +4 in TX w/ 80-ish% in. TX is total up for grabs, y’all.

    • Urthona

The news was actually reporting that Senator Cornyn of Texas was in danger.

He leads by over 8 points.

  93. leon

PA is going back to Biden.

    • Ownbestenemy

      Nah…

    • LJW

Where you seeing this. Everywhwre I’ve looked it’s at about 40% and Trump is up big.

      • Urthona

I see 45% and Trump leading bigly.

      • Rebel Scum

        Me too.

    • Agent Cooper

      Where do you see this?

    • Drake

Philly districts stopped reporting until tomorrow morning. They’ll wait and see how many votes they need to produce.

      • Brochettaward

        Did Philly really stop reporting?

      • Caput Lupinum

Official results are the ones reported to the Pennsylvania department of state. You can check by county, Philadelphia hasn’t submitted any mail ballots. If there is going to be any shenanigans with PA’s election it is going to be mall in ballots from Philly, and they’re staying mum on them at the moment. I expect many lawsuits.

      • UnCivilServant

They need to know how many votes to manufacture.

      • UnCivilServant

I’ve said it before flippantly, but this is the most brazen…

      • Agent Cooper

Can they really manufacture almost 400k?

      • UnCivilServant

I wouldn’t put it past them to just say they had them.

      • Urthona

        No.

      • Gender Traitor

        Ballot printer go brrrrrrrrrrrrr……

      • Caput Lupinum

Total official ballots reported from Philly is currently 106,546. There are over 1,200,000 registered voters in Philly, for an outstanding balance of about 1.1 million. 400K isn’t even a challenge.

      • Caput Lupinum

Which isn’t too say that they need to manufacture any where near 400K, the last 4 presidential elections had well over 500K votes for the D candidate, and they are only reporting 74K votes for Biden. I would expect at least 400K votes to be added to Biden’s total from Philly alone without fraud, the rural counties need to pick up the slack. The real test will be the counties around Philly, they’ll almost certainly go for Biden, but the percentage they break at will determine the outcome.

    • Hyperion

Nope, Trump’s going to win PA and MI. And they should have already called OH.

  94. Hyperion

97% of the vote is in in FL and the Foxtards will not call it, fuck you assholes!

    • Gender Traitor

      Happy now?

      • Hyperion

It’s about fucking time. Now over there in the Ohio, bout time they call that one too. Trump is up with an insurmountable lead.

    • Urthona

      They called it now.

Stuff like that doesn’t bother me all though.

  95. Hyperion

Why is Fox New calling dem states immediately with 1% of votes in and will not call Trump wins with 97% of votes in and no way for Biden to make up the difference?

    TMITE

    • Trigger Hippie

Because Fox decided to subtly inject Blue into their staff, coverage, talking points, framing of conversation and overall coverage over the last couple of years in a cynical effort to corner the market of the alienated working class white left into their viewership.

Fuck Fox News up the ass with a rusty chainsaw.

I suppose it could be worse and everything could be straight D

  97. Ozymandias

Maybe too early to gloat, but… if not quite a landslide, when it’s all over, Trump wins handily. And the popular vote, too, I think. Maybe not – because of Commiefornia – but it’s stunning to see Trump leading by millions with the totals for both candidates over 40 MM.
And it looks like Trump is going to win my old home state of deep blue RI. Ha!!! Crazy year, for sure.

    • Urthona

RI had been called for Biden where I’m looking.

      • UnCivilServant

They’ve been calling states at 0%, so I don’t put much creedence in that before the numbers actually get in.

    • Rebel Scum

RI – would be hilarious if it went to Trump.

      0.5 advantage Biden on FNC
0.8 advantage Trump on MSNBC (at the moment)

    • blackjack

Hey, we’re good for almost as many popular votes as Texas. But yeah, considering all the forces aligned against him, Trump is kicking some ass right now.

    • kinnath

      NYT says:

Biden made a big bid to reclaim union voters. But in Ohio, union voters went for Trump over Biden by 56 percent to 42 percent, according to exit polls.

I said early on that blue collar workers would decide the election same as 2016.

    • Lackadaisical

I’m just afraid it’ll be an inverse 2016 and I wake up to a president elect Biden instead of trump.

    • LJW

      Lung ultrasound might

    • Urthona

Could very well. Everyone get tested.

      • The Other Kevin

We’re just waiting on her test. If that’s positive it’s going to suck for many people.

    • one true athena

They do have a way of being suspicious of it. Something about “granulations” in the lung x-ray, iirc? So yeah, it’s not a sure thing, but it’s a thing.

    • Mojeaux

So in February, my husband was sick and ended up in the ER on a Sunday. They found some concerning “ground-glass opacities” on his chest x-ray and said (I kid you not), “Well, we don’t quite know what it is but we’ll call it pneumonia. See a pulmonologist next week.”

Okay. Pneumonia. It’s good enough for work, but WTF ground-glass opacities. That’s kind of not cool.

We see the pulmonologist that Friday. She says it’s nothing, go home and enjoy your time off for pneumonia.

      Cunte.

I will never not think that was the WuFlu.

      • Lackadaisical

Could probably take one of those immunoassays or whatever they use to figure out if someone has had covid before to see, not that it would change anything.

  99. Tonio

CNN just changed their tally to Biden 192 EV to Trump 108 EV. That’s because the West coast came in solid blue. They still haven’t called FL, TX or PA yet. Nor VA, NC and GA.

That’s fine. They will be blue.

    • Rebel Scum

      Good Friday.

  101. Drake

The only question – will Trump win AZ. If yes, he wins tonight no matter what happens in PA when they eventually get their shit together.

    • Urthona

It looks like he won’t which would make it the first state different from last election.

      • mrfamous

There’s a possibility Trump flips Nevada in the other direction though.

    • Urthona

Well, OK not crush in NC, but 94% and he’s up by almost 100k votes.

    • Ownbestenemy

    Trump now up in Iowa.

    • Fatty Bolger

From 2012 to 2018, an average of about 250,000 people per year migrated to Arizona from other states, with the largest contribution coming from California, according to an analysis of census data by Susan Weber for the demographic research site SocialExplorer.com.

There ya go. I assume the trend continued, or maybe even accelerated. I wonder how the gun loving deplorables feel about it. Because when I visited Arizona, one thing was clear, they really, REALLY like their guns.

Not long ago my wife and I envisioned splitting our retirement between NH and AZ. Both are off the list now.

    • RAHeinlein

  112. Rebel Scum

      • Tundra

Well, that and the fact that the ‘vid gave them the most unbelievably awesome platform and they fucked it up.

        LP is asshoe.

  118. Urthona

      • Ownbestenemy

Yeah and Trump lawyers will tear that apart.

      • Caput Lupinum

Yep, Josh Shapiro. He better hope he was right, the AG election is tracking the presidential election totals and he’s getting blown out right now.

      • creech

Trump can actually win tonight without pa. Which would be funny. Predictors would be extra wrong.

    • mrfamous

Pennsylvania is not going to take part in this presidential election until they’re forced to, or until it’s already been decided by everybody else; whichever comes first.

      • Caput Lupinum

We are stubbornly stupid lot. Or was it stupidly stubborn?

Well Looks like the reporting on that was false. Still counting votes.

  119. mrfamous

It seems likely to me the GOP will eventually get to 50 in the Senate (after the GA runoff). Whether they make it to 51…

    • leon

RCP says that GOP took NC with 100% of the vote in, but hasn’t called it for them.

It is pretty damn close, so i expect it’s because they think there will be a recount.

    • Urthona

      Excellent. Most important outcome.

  120. Semi-Spartan Dad

It’s being reported Fox made the call for Biden on Arizona based entirely off early ballots and not a single ballot cast today. No one else has called Arizona yet.

Trump is also still up in VA with 98% of votes in. Fox hasn’t updated VA from 64% of the vote.

    • Ownbestenemy

Yep…what fucking bullshit. FOX apparently DRUDGED (skinsuited).

      • Urthona

Where do you see this 98% of votes?

      • Semi-Spartan Dad

That’s PJ is reporting. I’m seeing different totals on all the news sites. The official VA.gov elections page has Trump ahead by 50k votes but doesn’t give the percentage beyond 2555 precincts of 2585 reporting.

      • Sir Digby Classic

I’m sure it happened long before the no-touchy lawsuits, but, I can’t help but think this left sway involves that. To what degree, I don’t know.

I see 64% of votes counted on my tracker for va.

      • Urthona

A Biden outright win tonight seems impossible. A Trump outright win is possible. Heading to the courts is possible. That would suggest Trump as the favorite, but…

In any event, the polls did indeed underestimate Trump’s support. That much seems very clear.

I think the behavior in Pennsylvania right now suggests that Trump will win it fairly easily. He apparently did “yuge” with union workers in the exit polling. I’m guessing rural Pennsylvanian’s familiarity with Biden does not work in his favor.

      • LJW

The polls grossly misrepresented to the point it seems like election interference.

    • leon

Biden won’t concede tonight, if MI and WI stay for Trump. No way Trump would conced if that flipped to a slight loss.

      • Brochettaward

Per CNN, Biden is about to make a statement. My guess he says he won’t concede and that we need to take time to count the votes.

Hey, ya know how you don’t make a ton of people very skeptical of the voting process. Ya don’t have the Republican out performing polls everywhere and looking good, and then have EVERY Dem stronghold in EVERY state that’s even kind of close ALL stop counting and say they’re going to take a few days.

Milwaukee, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Detroit. All had completely separate issues. Milwaukee; the machine wasn’t counting fast enough. Atlanta; a water leak. Philie; they were just tired.

Even if everything is on the level, that is an awful look. You are begging for people to reject the results if Biden comes from behind because of all those places.

  148. Gadfly

So, while a lot of votes are still out (CA and NY at 65% in, TX & IL at 80%), it’s looking clear that the polls missed the mark. The final RCP average was Biden +7.2, and he’s currently at +1.4. I imagine Biden’s tally will increase, but he’s probably not going to get above +3, meaning the polls were off by 4. There’s definitely a shy Trump vote.

    • leon

Or a mischievous Trump poll taker.

      • Gadfly

        Also a very real possibility.

  149. leon

Biden has given a speech saying he “is on the path to victory” essentially sealing that this will be thrown into tomorrow and probably Thursday at the earliest.

    • Hyperion

The media are not going to save him after Trump wins GA, NC, PA, WI, and MI.

It is fucking beyond shameful that they do not call this tonight.

      • leon

My question is that they are hoping for a lot of mail in ballots, but don’t we know how many outstanding mail in ballots there are? Its not like they count todays and then go count the mail in ballots, all the mail in ballots that have been sent have been counted no?

      • Urthona

Trump is leading in Wisconsin by fewer than 100,000. Milwaukee does not announce their votes until 3 AM. 300,000 people from Milwaukee voted for Mrs. Clinton last election.

It’s basically the same deal in Michigan but they’re not as far along.

The margins in George and North Carolina are razor thin, and I don’t know the distribution in those places.

This is absolutely not over by any stretch.

      • CPRM

I just watched that shit, and Trump was on a juggernaut speed train to have this called and called early tonight. The media are a bunch of cowardly pussies who need their diapers changed.

    TMITE

    • Gadfly

It doesn’t matter what the media calls, what matters is what the state election boards say. If the state boards haven’t called it, then I’m fine with the media not calling it.

  151. mrfamous

I don’t see how Biden can win Pennsylvania. He’s down by 700,000 votes and would need to win roughly 70% of the outstanding votes. Biden is only getting like 72% in Philadelphia County.

I don’t see how he could possibly make up that difference without raising quite a few eyebrows. The math doesn’t seem to work. The only way would be like massive voter turnout (like 135%) in places like Philadelphia.

    • Urthona

Did you do the math? Interesting.

      • mrfamous

Yeah if there’s 2 million votes left and Biden takes 70% of them, he wins by less than 100,000 votes. The county with the lowest percentage counted so far (Bucks), currently has Trump up by 15. That should narrow, but making up 15 percentage points with 70% of the votes in would have to be completely unprecedented. That’s nuts.

      • Hyperion

I’ll just jump in here. Biden is fucking toast. The votes are not there. This is much closer than I thought it would be. But Trump has this.

      • mrfamous

On the NYT, they have a blurb about Erie County:

“Erie County, Pa., counted 13,121 mail ballots, which Biden won 5 to 1. There are 37,000 mail votes still out; Dems expect him to carry them by at least 3 to 1. That means he would win this bellwether county.”

Currently with 70% of the vote in, Trump is up by 15 points in that county (he won it by 1.6 in 2016). But the mail in ballots are gonna come in 80/20 for Biden? If they do, I don’t think it’s unreasonable to want to have a close look at them.

To put it more simply, Trump has more votes now than Clinton got in 2016 (about 2,000) with only 73% reporting. And Pennsylvania’s population hasn’t grown much if at all.

  152. KSuellington

Why hasn’t NC been called for Trump? All outlets are saying 100% of the vote and T has a solid lead.

    • leon

Because Biden needs it to win? I don’t know. Are there outstanding mail in ballots?

    • Hyperion

Because they’re a bunch of fucking pussies.

    • Urthona

The AP says 95%, but I don’t know why I keep looking there.

    • hayeksplosives

Is the media colluding so brazenly with the DNC that they are planting stories that throw doubt on the election results long enough for ballots to appear and claims of disenfranchisement to be credible? That seems to be the only way to defeat Trump.

      2016 taught them very little.

  153. Brochettaward

RCP has 99% of Georgia’s votes reporting with a Trump maintaining a 3 point lead.

    • leon

Look. The Media and DNC have been saying it won’t be decided on election night for the last few months and Gosh Damnit it won’t be decided on Election night!

    • Urthona

It’s because they have a vastly different (and probably wrong) estimate of the overall number of votes.

      • Brochettaward

        https://results.decisiondeskhq.com/

They have the same thing. I refuse to subscribe to the NYT’s but even they have estimated over 90% reporting.

      • leon

The vote numbers haven’t changed in the last 30 min either, so they aren’t counting anymore.

      • Urthona

Well let’s just do a little math here. Fulton County went to Clinton by a 170,000 vote advantage in the 2016 election.

They’ve reported almost nothing so far in 2020.

If I were a betting man, I’d say Georgia goes blue.

      • Brochettaward

NYT’s, which has fewer votes reported so far and is behind, has 72% of Fulton reporting.

      • Urthona

if that’s the case, then Trump
        may squeak this out.

      • Gadfly

Counterpoint: CNN and Fox have Fulton in at 72% and 96%, respectively, and the numbers are close to what they were in 2016, so while I’m sure GA tightens I’m not so sure it goes blue.

      • leon

Where are you looking to get your data man?

      • LJW

There’s something shady about this broken pipe story. It occurred where the ballots were stored not counted and. It ballots were damaged. So why did that delay the count?

      • Urthona

        absolutely

      • LJW

Sorry tired typing * The ballots were not damaged.

  154. Gadfly

So, if Trump happens to win, an interesting facet from the CNN exit polls is that he has indeed increased his minority support (albeit not by large margins) across the board. Comparing 2016 to 2020 exit polls, Trump held steady with whites and gained 4 points with each other ethnic group measured (blacks, hispanics, asians, and other). Notably, Trump won 40% of hispanics in TX and 47% in Florida, so I don’t think the demographics is destiny idea is holding up too well.

Even if Biden loses, the number of increasingly blue states is depressing. I don’t see red states growing like that and don’t see large population historically blue states flipping. The long march is winning.

If academia and the public sector somehow collapsed under the bloatage, all of those true believers aren’t going to give up their fantasies and say ‘hey, you know what, we were wrong all along’ and change their ways. They’ll either move into somewhere else and poison it or become an actual insurgency. What do you do with a large chunk of the population that is anti American, lacks actual useful skills, and is demoralized (of morality, not morale)?

    • Urthona

I don’t think number of blue states is really increasing.

      Trump just really sucks.

Except in the midwest where the dude is a god.

      • Gustave Lytton

I think it’s more than that. The down ballot races are showing similar movement. How do you slam the Overton window on the fingers of these leftists and start to restore normalcy?

      • Urthona

I think these are not normal times.

My suburb here in Texas has been red for… oh… like since just after Kennedy And they voted for the Republican senator by like a 5% higher margin than Trump. Same damn voters.

They just don’t like him here. He’s an asshole New Yorker.

But then I drive up the country at our little place in Oklahoma and there are Trump parades and banners everywhere. They fucking love the dude. They are so much more enthusiastic about him than they ever were from any Bush.

Things are just…different now. And interesting.

    • Gadfly

Even if Biden loses, the number of increasingly blue states is depressing. I don’t see red states growing like that and don’t see large population historically blue states flipping. The long march is winning.

Counterpoint: WI, MI, and PA are historically blue states that flipped last time (for the first time in 28 years) and right now are competitive. Also, the purple states of OH and FL went fairly strongly against Biden, so I don’t think it is correct to posit that the trends are pointing only and inexorably in one direction. I don’t think the future looks bright, but I don’t think it is lost either. Plus, to get away from the partisanship, some issues have trended in the right direction in recent decades: gun rights have expanded and drug prohibitions have decreased. It’s not all bad out there!

      • CPRM

Wisconsin…Historically Blue…was that before or after we had a Republican governor for 16 years in the 90-ots?

Purple, that’s the worst fucking color! I mean, I can cheer for the Bears and the Lions, but FUCK the Fucking Vikings!

      • Gadfly

Well, I’m not overly familiar with WI politics, were the R govs moderates or conservatives? Because blue states do seem to like moderate Rs, just see VT, MA, & MD at the moment. But maybe WI is purple, and the edge just happened to tip blue 12 times straight at the presidential level. Stranger things have happened.

      • Gustave Lytton

Gun rights, outside of a couple of lucky cases which haven’t been upheld in principle and the lucky sunset provision of the AWB, have largely moved backwards at the federal level over the past ~30 years. Some states have grudgingly gotten better while others have gone far worse. And the gun grabbers have aped those state level successes by increasingly focusing there and below to move the ratchet.

I hope the disappearance of the comment asking us to log out means commenting is okay again.

      • SP

        Yes.

      • UnCivilServant

Thank you for the positive confirmation, and all your contributions.

      • Gender Traitor

I gave up a little after 2. At least you don’t have to commute. Across town. ::slurps down more coffee::

Glad I’ve already finished the more fiddly month-end financial reports.

      • UnCivilServant

We’re just testing file transfers. Since the stuff I’m responsible for has been working for a long time, I mostly have to look at logs, or switch between the current and the new configurations. (it’s the insurance company that’s got a new product they’re still having issues with)

And I may have to open a firewall request, but the hard work is assigned to my subordinate (getting the rules together).

So I can probably sleepwalk though the workday.

      • CPRM

I’ve gotten about 4hrs of sleep in the last 36hrs.

    • CPRM

I muted you in case you started sleep talking crazy, or farting. Saul Goodman.

      • Gender Traitor

        FREE SPEECH SOOPRESHUN!

      • Festus' Mustache

Everyone knows that sleep farts are innocent little puffs.

    • Sean

      *looks around suspiciously*

I guess the world didn’t end (yet)?

      • rhywun

Not until PA decides when it’s going to stop counting new votes.

Fuck, I woke up expecting this shit to be over. Silly me.

      • Festus' Mustache

The cheatin’ ain’t over until the fat lady sings. Take that to a run-on Bank. 700,000 votes in Penn. I hope the Supremes slap this shit down.

    • Festus' Mustache

You’ve earned your wings, now Comrade! We should commission a special ribbon for those of us so drunkentired that we actually fall asleep on the Zoom. “The Loyal Order of Hyperbole”! We get to wear the ribbon on the chats but have to keep it in the panty drawer when offline. Nobody cares.

  178. CPRM

Somehow ABC has Biden leading by like 2,000 votes now in Wisconsin. Those Milwaukee cars have rather large trunks.

    • UnCivilServant

They rented a uhaul for the night.

      • CPRM

        Outagamie and Calumet counties

Well, those will skew Drumpf, that’s closer to my area, not Meeleewawkay. But, there will be more ballots in trunks down that way, I’m sure.

    • CPRM

21,000 more votes counted in the last 15 minutes? Ballot machines go BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

  179. Sean

Bevelyn Beatty and some Proud Boys stabbed in DC.

  180. Stinky Wizzleteats

So I take a couple of Benadryl and call it an early night and I wake up to a predictable shitshow. Still looks like Trump has it in a squeaker and with the timely intercession of lawyers he’s won.

  181. Festus' Mustache

Must apologize to SP. I didn’t follow instructions until much later in the comments.

    • PieInTheSky

I followed instructions the moment I saw them. Which means very late

  182. The Late P Brooks

    Are we there yet?

  183. The Late P Brooks

They’re saying Biden got ~93% of the vote in Detroit.

    Sounds legit.

    • PieInTheSky

I mean it kind of does.

    • Jerms

Stock market showing a Trump win (solar stocks and the like down)
Buuut now Vegas has Biden as -200
      2 to 1 favorite.

  184. Festus' Mustache

My workplace was unusually quiet last night and the Supervisor let them off a half hour early. These are mighty Progs. I think the writing is on the wall. When I was in the lunchroom one of Nthem checked his phone and remarked “Trump just won Florida. Guess I’ll never go back!” How Not To Be Seen is an underrated talent. I’m pretty sure these people, many of whom I call friends would have my guts for garters if they knew anything about my politics.

    • PieInTheSky

I think the writing is on the wall. – what does it say?

      • CPRM

        ‘Killroy was here’

      • Festus' Mustache

        “Here I sit, Broken-hearted…”

      • Trigger Hippie

“Here I sit, tired and dirty. Trying to hide until 4:30”.

      • Festus' Mustache

“Here I sit on Company time, Boss makes a Dollar, I make a dime”

      • Festus' Mustache

In all seriousness it plays out in the Court. Hard to believe that we’re still dealing with a broken system 20 years after Bush/Gore but here we are. Fucking cheating Dems are shameless and the Rethuglicans are the kid that you deke like a pylon every time. “I’m going left!” Repub goes left too. Dem breezes past and scores low blocker side on the befuddled Supreme Court.

      • Trigger Hippie

        Shenanigans ensue.

        Biden: 270
        Trump: 268

  185. LJW

It’s mostly mail ballots in these battleground states and Biden is closing the gap in all of them. I think Trump is done. Starting to worry Dems are making gains in key senate battles too.

    • PieInTheSky

I think Trump is done – was it ever a doubt in this election? I am not trying to troll as some would think but it was always very unlikely for Trump to win

      • Jerms

Last night he was a 5-1 favorite at one time. Looked like he was going to pull it off. Not anymore.

      • Semi-Spartan Dad

No, the media designed polls to make it seem that way. Trump smashed through Florida, NC, GA, Ohio, and PA. The Dems were primed and ready in PA to stop the count if it looked like Trump was winning while they grab more Biden votes.

The media are co-conspirators in this, essentially an unregistered arm of the Democrat Party. They delayed calling for Trump and the tech companies have taken down anything that questions the fraud being committed in PA.

      • PieInTheSky

which will be in the end not really relevant

      • Semi-Spartan Dad

It is relevant if you are asking if Trump losing was ever in doubt. Many of us said he would win in a fair election but it remained to be seen how much fraud the Dems and media would commit and be able to pull off.

This seems to be exactly the scenario that is now playing out.

      • PieInTheSky

I honestly never though of in in the terms of “fair election”. Only who is declared winner.

      • AlexinCT

As Stalin pointed out: Who votes doesn’t matter a bit. What matters is who counts the votes (and by default who manufactures the votes to be counted). Trump won this election, but the deep state can still steal it and has planned from the start to do just that.

      • Sean

        This.

Shenanigans gonna end up in court.

    • Festus' Mustache

      Amy Coney Barrett.

  186. leon

So is NC still counting? the numbers havn’t changed since i went to bed lastnight.

    • AlexinCT

They have not yet given team blue the time to manufacture the needed votes, so yes, they are still counting…

  187. robc

Has the red district in Maine been called yet? I know Biden got the blue Nebraska EC.

    • CPRM

Ranked choice voting is slowing the results, they say.

      • robc

Only if he got less than 50%. Which is possible, I guess, but Jo doesn’t have that many votes to spread around.

Why is a worthless state like ME doing all the cool electoral stuff…I may have just answered my own question.

  188. Not Adahn

The spite in Mara Liasson’s voice this morning indicates that things did not go as planned for Biden last night.

    • leon

Heh. No. It went down the shitshow road. And now SCOTUS will have to pay the piper that is due for punting on questions for the last month.

  189. leon

I don’t see any results coming out of Monroe Michigain… Did it get nuked or something?

  190. Not Adahn

Did the smokeshow in the red dress win her seat in Balmer?

    • Sean

GF told me she did not

      • robc

I think she got like 27%.

      • Festus' Mustache

27% and a gig at OANN. Good for her!

  191. R C Dean

Well, AZ has turned into CA.

    Legal pot passed.

Income tax increase “for the children” passed.

    Two leftist Senators.

    • leon

You were kinda fucked that you had McSally running, because she is an awful campaigner. How can the state of “Constitutional Carry” elect Kelly? Because they don’t know what he stands for.

      • SP

At least he’ll face reelection in 2 years.

      • Festus' Mustache

        “Ref cheated!”

      • R C Dean

McSally never made gun control an issue.

Stupidly. But she’s a terrible campaigner.

    • Festus' Mustache

What is the total Senate count thus far?

      • leon

GOP -1 with about 6 races not called yet.

Though It seems that Tillis won, though i can’t find any info on why NC is not done counting.

      • Festus' Mustache

All it will take is one apparatchik with one trunk of ballots. They told the American People that they were going to cheat to win and here we are. I hated Reagan and his Moral Majority bullshit when I was a lad but this is third-world. This needs not slapping but choked the life out of and left in the ditch. They know it, Reps know it and nearly half of your population knows it. Amy Coney Barrett is going to save your Republic for another four years.

  192. The Late P Brooks

    Two leftist Senators.

But the guy on the teevee just said Mark Kelly is a moderate!

Wanting to confiscate your guns doesn’t make him a leftist, I guess.

  193. The Late P Brooks

    Biden: 270
    Trump: 268

    MANDATE!!!!11!!

    • robc

That and a faithless elector throwing it to the House would be hilarious.

Anything that leads to a House vote would be awesome.

      • leon

Yeah. I’m still waiting to see how some of these house votes shake up. GOP +4 right now but still a ton that havn’t been called. If the GOP can keep it’s control over delegations a House Vote would be… well next level controversial.
