Tits: calm. Speaking of cult leaders…

Apparently Jesus Jones was one of the first western acts to play in Romania after Ceaușescu died of rapid-onset lead poisoning COVID-19.

You know who else died of COVID-19?

      Hitler. It was Hitler.

How many Biden votes would’ve been swayed to Trump if only they were privvy to the animated Hat & Hair?

    • Jarflax

There were no Biden votes. Only Trump and not Trump.

      • hayeksplosives

        This is true.

Unfortunately, that is a legitimate vote too.

      Repost from the dead thread:

So, I stopped at a 7-11 on the way to the skatepark. The guy in front of me turned around and freaked right out. He powerwalked down to the end of the aisle and just stood there until it was his turn. Then, He yelled something unintelligible to the clerk. She turned to me and motioned for me to put the mask over my nose. When I figured it out, I put the mask up and said, ” Sorry, sometimes I forget to pretend hard enough.” Dude went right off the deep end. Started pacing and muttering about ” pretending? PRETENDING?” “I can’t believe he said that!” “I’m not pretending, who pretends?” etc.

The guys behind me were saying that dude is whacked, but the cashier lady said to me, ” No, he’s a good customer!” SO I said, “Hey, I’ll do whatever calms him down, if I can figure out what that is.” Dude grabbed his 12 pack of Modelo and stormed out of the hyperventilating and just paced in front of his car for a while. Guys behind were laughing uproariously. That’s the first scary covidian I’ve encountered. Kind of freaked me out.

      * dude’s tits were anything but calm!

This situation must be driving people with OCD* absolutely bonkers. There are these government-mandated rituals literally everyone on the face of the Earth must perform 100% perfectly, every time in every circumstance. If just one person fails at performing the ritual perfectly, the whole world needs to start at the beginning again.

*I mean people with real, actual diagnosed OCD, not some Karen that jokes about her sticky note organization.

      • Jarflax

The correct rituals were set down thousands of years ago. You pick a king. Then you take the king out to the fields at the solstice and sacrifice him so that life will return to the world.

      • rhywun

If just one person fails at performing the ritual perfectly, the whole world needs to start at the beginning again.

That is exactly what’s going on. It’s maddening.

I actually agree that the LP, as it stands, has no future.

      But things change.

      • blackjack

I don’t see a party that understands what freedom is. Nazi cakes and commie street violence is antithetical to freedom.

      • blackjack

Never mind wearing masks, and forcing people to read and comprehend what they are responding to. Slavers!

      • Tundra

Sweet Jesus, that’s quite an impressive mental maneuver.

      • Fourscore

Don’t read the comments. Explains the failure of liberty when people don’t follow the rules.

      • Jarflax

Not that thing. The hope for liberty lies with people who value it but are not obsessed with purity. People like us (and I absolutely include myself in this) are useful as philosophers, as educators, as artists mythilogizing the values we support, but not as politicians or legislators. Purity has to be imposed from without, it can’t be reached by compromise inside a system. Political compromises can move you toward a goal but they cannot reach it.

      • Tundra

It’s the stage. The LP can’t win, but they can move people toward the cause of liberty.

Tulsi goes on Rogan and millions of people think she’s pro freedom. What if an LP candidate who truly was went on?

    • DEG

Liberal Republicans have no future in the Trumpified GOP and the Libertarian party has no future, period. They might be able to join forces and create a milquetoast centrist party, like Britain’s Liberal Democrats. They could embrace their role as pampered vandals and content themselves with suicide bombing conservatives every four years.

I had lunch with two guys I met through Reopen NH. One is a longtime Republican activist. The other a Republican with strong libertarian leanings who is a former state legislator.

We talked about changes in the state Republican party and the Libertarian Party of NH (LPNH). Things like the NHLA getting a solid pro-liberty block in the state house, ballot access, and this idiotic tweet from the LPNH came up.

Two things came to me. One, that the NH Republican party is being slowly taken over by libertarians, though the old guard still has power. The other is that the LPNH is not libertarian anymore.

      • Urthona

young libertarians taking over the republican party is the way to go

        ‘ willfully spreading a disease’

I can actually agree with – if you are sick you should absolutely self isolate. The one thing I don’t miss about pre covid days were the A-holes coming in to the office sick.

Everyone else should go about their lives like normal. Just like every year.

  11. Rebel Scum

I understand Biden is getting a cat. This is, of course, a legitimate news story. I expect him to name it Mr. Bigglesworth.

    • Urthona

Does the cat possess supernatural powers as well? Is it respectful of the ankles?

    • Jarflax

Poor guy he asked his handlers for a little pussy and the gave him a cat.

      • CPRM

Hawkins : Billy. Billy! The other day, I was going down on my girlfriend. I said to her, “Jeez you got a big pussy. Jeez you got a big pussy.” She said, “Why did you say that twice?” I said, “I didn’t.”

        [Billy stares blankly]

Hawkins : See, ’cause of the echo.

      • Fourscore

        That’s funny too, CPRM.

It’s almost like you have a hidden mike in the Oval Office, that or you have a plant. Are we gonna see Biden and his dog, in the future? I hope so, dogs tell the truth. Thanks for the update with the H & H.

Looks like it’s on Fox, which generally means single-cam, which generally means better writing, as they don’t have a laugh track to cover how shitty the jokes are. I may give it a whirl.

Nope, I’m super wrong. Why would Fox go into the multi-cam sitcom business??? Shit’s sake.

So no, I won’t give it a whirl.

      • db

My very ex GF is a vet. She could have been a Dr. but hates people. I think vet med is probably a more difficult track at first because you have to learn so many different physiologies.

After you go into practice, I’m not sure. On the one hand, vets usually deal with several species (cats, dogs, maybe farm animals, maybe some exotics—but they tend to specialize), but human docs usually specialize and dig deep. Different kind of knowledge and practices?

      • Tundra

Definitely. He did a lot of his formative work as a big animal doc, but ended up in a small animal practice.

He’s a pretty gifted surgeon, so it makes sense to go where people will pay for that.

Just finished painting some aircraft parts and that epoxy primer has me feeling really good. Or maybe it’s the Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. Or maybe a combination.

I wear a VOC respirator and a supplied air hood over that while spraying this stuff, but there’s always a little solvent that gets loose in the building, and WOW is it potent, even in ppb levels.

I don’t use recreational drugs so this is probably the closest I’ll ever get to the way most of you guys feel about noon every Friday!

2 – Send the first one to Cajun Gunworks for their trigger and accuracy package.
        3 – Shoot the second Shadow 2 during CGW’s 10-week turnaround.
4 – Send the second CZ to CGW after the first one gets back.
5 – Prof-…well, no. No profit in this game. But I’ll have a couple really nice Carry Optics guns for the 2021 USPSA season.

Are you 40 YO yet? If not, no need for optics. Be a man. If you pass 40, optics are allowed. I’m still trying to shoot irons.

      • UnCivilServant

Look, some people have always had bad eyes.

      • db

I started wearing glasses in 3rd grade.

      • UnCivilServant

Rear sight, frint sight, target, I can see any one.

Crosshairs or red dot and target, I can see both.

Blind shooting is ill-advised, so Irons are a no go.

      • pistoffnick

“Look, some people have always had bad eyes.”

        *raises hand*

        Lifetime masturbater, here.

      • EvilSheldon

        I’m 42, and have 20/13 vision.

No, I don’t particularly need optics. Tell you the truth, I don’t really need pussy, either. But I like it.

      • db

fair enough. I have had 20/15 vision corrected since I was 13, but recently it has gone downhill quickly. I hope for better for you.

      • EvilSheldon

The point is, I started shooting mini red dot optics (MRDOs) on my pistols because they seemed to have some measurable advantages over iron sights, especially for long-range or high-precision shooting. I’ve become convinced that the advantages are broad and deep enough, that I’m in the middle of converting *all* my pistols to use MRDOs.

I think that in five years, certainly in ten, electronic red dot optics will be the standard sighting system for everything.

      • db

In ten years, what firearms you are allowed to own will be tied in with your local neural network, and only fire when you really mean it and when the regulations specifically allow it. If you try to squeeze the trigger outside allowed parameters you will be reported.

      • pistoffnick

“In ten years, what firearms you are allowed to own will be tied in with your local neural network, and only fire when you really mean it and when the regulations specifically allow it.”

Pretty hard to retrofit a 1970 brain that doesn’t want to be retrofitted. Also pretty difficult to retrofit a 1945 Arisaka to some ‘lectronic minder.

        Fuck off, slaver.

      • UnCivilServant

Your negative social credit score means you are now no longer allowed to own property.

        Be better.

      • Jarflax

Pretty hard to retrofit a 1970 brain that doesn’t want to be retrofitted. Also pretty difficult to retrofit a 1945 Arisaka to some ‘lectronic minder.

That problem gets solved by pogroms and confiscation.

    • db

hey Sheldon, I stopped giving money to 2nd amendment foundation after researching following a post of yours. is GOA legit? they seem the most likely to hold fast and support real gun rights. I am so tired of NRA and others compromising. NFA owner/operator.

      • Jarflax

        GOA is solid.

      • blackjack

Out here, we have Calguns foundation. Rock solid and they’ve actually helped a few times with gun laws here. More than one could say about that giant one that takes all the money and delivers nothing.

      • zwak

Calguns is the real thing. A good group.

      • EvilSheldon

No. GOA has filed a couple of amicus briefs in state court actions, but most of the donation money goes directly into the pockets of their founders.

2AF has a record of real advocacy and legal work. I can’t imagine how anything I’ve posted would discourage someone from donating to them. The only other 2A advocacy group that I’d look at on the national scene, would be the Firearms Policy Coalition.

      • db

I recall a post where you specifically stated that 2AF had money going right to Alan Gottleib (before his death) and that Heller was a fluke that started out as a planned failure.

      • pistoffnick

Never been an NRA member. Current GOA member.

I have been pretty happy going even more local. Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus actually seems to do stuff.

Maybe your state has a similar organization?

      • EvilSheldon

I strongly recommend looking into state 2A organizations. Most of the ones I’m familiar with (VCDL, MNGO, CalGuns) give you a lot more for your money than the national groups.

      • db

PAFOA seems good. Although I haven’t followed them for a while.

      • Gustave Lytton

That might have been me. Heller is my (completely unsupported by any evidence) tin foil hat theory that it was an attempt to torpedo 2A as an individual right that went sideways.

Having said that, Gottlieb is a lifelong grifter who has been happy to compromise with “sensible” restrictions and break bread with gun grabbers (such as the bullshit suicide concern). But they’re all grifters to a large extent. They exist to perpetuate themselves. Sometimes they do some good here and there.

      • db

        ah yes it was you

      • db

And to note, I did pull up their annual reports and found a bunch of expenses not directly related to legal expenses. Most of them seemed like attending conferences and travel and stuff.

      • EvilSheldon

        That was someone else.

      • db

Odd how we all have our opinions on whether these orgs are worth our money. I want an org that will ruin the value of my NFA collection by lobbying to abolish the NFRTR.

      • UnCivilServant

I don’t want a group that merely lobbies, I want one that succeeds. The incentive to lobby indefinately and not actually win is too great.

      • db

yep. For instance the Republicans don’t want a definitive decision regarding 2A any more than the Democrats do. It’s all about creating a wedge and fear of the Other.

  20. Gustave Lytton

From the dead thread, “smartest” man in the room:

“I have advanced trained from the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), National Security Agency (NSA), DHS office of Intelligence & Analysis (I&A) and Massachusetts Institution of Technology (MIT).”

Apparently using the same proofreaders as Powell.

    • db

wow that sounds badass. I need to go to his mountaintop and see if he will accept me as a student/slave

    • Urthona

Think of the breakneck speeds they can get their lawsuits dismissed now. Twice as fast maybe.

    • db

my gods I remember when 9mm was so cheap you could shoot it like .22LR and didn’t because .45 ACP was for real men and affordable.

      • trshmnstr the terrible

I did the math and I’d be in for over $100 in ammo alone if I went to the range and did my normal 90 minute regimen.

I balk every time I have the chance to go to the range. You’re not even guaranteed to be able to replenish the supply these days.

      • EvilSheldon

Ammo doesn’t do you any good gathering dust in the closet…

      • Gustave Lytton

…so make sure it’s in an airtight storage container.

        *taps nose*

    • KSuellington

Will the price of ammo ever come down to make practicing somewhat affordable again?

      • trshmnstr the terrible

I hope so. I really hope so. Im already thinking reloading (and I’m still a novice shooter) because that’s the only way to get the volume of lead downrange that I need to without bankrupting myself. I haven’t shot 8 months because I can’t justify the cost.

      • EvilSheldon

It did last time. There’s no special reason to think that it won’t again. But it won’t be soon.

      • KSuellington

I hope so as well. Target shooting is going to end up like golfing at a private club otherwise.

  21. "Tulsi Gabbard Apologist"

What is a Biden Hat and Hair going to be like? Just explosions and Arab kids running through the streets all bloodied? It just doesn’t have the comedic punch to me. I will miss America’s Rodney Dangerfield president

    • Don escaped Two Corinthians

The original run is far from over: the Hat and the Hair banging around Mar a Lago, cranking out Epstein’s mother notes to various civil courts explaining why he’s too sick to appear, rutting up the greens with his golf cart, wondering why Giuliani won’t return his calls, wondering where Melanya and Baron went, wondering why Putin won’t return his calls, ringing up 100 strokes from the ladies’ tees, groaning through hemorrhoids and limping against arthritis, noticing that no one is interested in his letters or his library . . . sitting alone drinking pink drinks with umbrellas in them reflecting on the greatness of all the legislation he didn’t pass, mourning the deletion of his executive orders by . . . simply . . . executive order, all while the RINOs and neo-cons don’t invite him on FoxNews to play their reindeer games, while Lindsey Graham runs off to suck some new mushroom nubbin. There is much ground yet to plow.

    • Don escaped Two Corinthians

      We seldom disagree.

I hope I can look forward to your calling out all the Glibs who think this is exactly okay when the shoe is on the other foot. I have read here many times that “their addresses are public record” etc.

      • Chafed

Adopting BLM’s tactics won’t win any friends and won’t change any minds.

      • Ownbestenemy

Bureaucrats and politicians ignoring their citizenry isn’t helping with keeping that from happening though.

      • EvilSheldon

Ethically, I’m 100% in favor of this. Politicians deserve what they get.

Practically, this is dumb. BLM and Antifa can get away with these kind of terror tactics because they have a compliant media backing them up. We don’t.

      • grrizzly

Don, you spent the last year or three ridiculing everyone who thought that Trump might gain new votes in 2020. I haven’t read every thread here lately, but have you admitted that Trump received 9-10 million more votes this time?

      • KSuellington

I think this is exactly okay. From the article it said they didn’t go onto private property and they dispersed after a few hours. It was in the afternoon as well, it wasn’t like they were doing this at 3am and keeping everyone from sleeping. This is a public official, not some random person, and a public official who helped to ruin businesses and lives. I don’t see much wrong with protesting in front of their residence. It sure is not blocking a right of way to pass down a road or highway.

      • Gustave Lytton

I do think there’s a disconnect between public employees’ actions and accountability, but while it stokes my base animal desires, I don’t think going down that road will lead to a better tomorrow.

      • Gustave Lytton

        Fuck the dashboard button.

To further clarify, the idiots I’m referring to are the public officials who think nothing of shuttering businesses and have turned a somewhat blind eye to political violence they agree with.

    • Ownbestenemy

Protestors did no damage, stayed on private property and exercised their first amendment. We can argue the specifics of if they should engage in such actions at the private residence however.

Would they have been better served to protest in front of the local OSHA office? Would they have made the papers if they did?

It is like when my kids ignore the simple question when they are out and about causing mayhem of “what are you doing?” and I get no reply. At that point I am assuming you are ignoring me and I will go to the source to determine if you are still alive or huffing paint with your buddies.

  22. Ownbestenemy

I want a hostile press towards our local/state/federal governments. While they were blatantly open to their bias, they were kinda doing their jobs. It actually was nice during the Trump years, but I know it will be going away and we will get dog and cat hot-takes for the next four years.

  23. Sean

Ugh. Black lives matter are now running tv commercials telling me how racist America is.

Been seeing them this past week.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

Not liking to see commercials berating you for being racist even though you aren’t racist is racist which means they were justified in running them in the first place. Circular reasoning FTW.

  24. Sean

Fuck. Back to work today. ?

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, gentlemen. It’s raining now, but the radar shows snow in the next county to the west. Our first winter storm of the season. Zippee wow.

And my boss is back from his vacation today. Tomorrow is the start of my two annual Hell Months at work. But at least I have work.

      • Tres Cool

Work that I am just home from. TALL CANS!

/no snow yet, just a really annoying, cold, rain

      • Gender Traitor

        TALL TRAVEL MUG!

  25. Tejicano

I’ve had paying work to do for the past couple weeks with more coming for another week or two. All one medium sized project but nice to be busy and making an income (even if short term) again – especially doing something the customer really appreciates and is happy to have me on hand for.

I’m saving them a butt-load of money for a task that’s a bit more than trivial but nothing a professional shouldn’t be able to handle – but the quotes they were getting were all fuck-tards rolling up stupid costs from subcontractors using subcontractors using yet another layer of subcontractors.

  26. Tejicano

So I’ve been playing this scenario in my head for inauguration day, 2021.

Biden oversleeps and blows off the private swearing in which is where the official transfer of power actually happens. His handlers figure the public swearing in will be good enough anyway so whatever.

Then when Biden puts his hand on the bible he has a spectacular dementia episode, slurs a half-dozen words, high-fives the Chief Justice, and walks off the podium before coming close to taking the oath of office, waving to the crowd.

So now no official transfer of power has happened and Trump is still the POTUS. Biden hasn’t been sworn in so they can’t hit him with the 25th amendment. What to do now?

    • Gender Traitor

Roberts rules that the high-five constitutes an oath? “I could tell he really meant it that way.”

  27. Ownbestenemy

I knew our off airport sites were monitored by a company but apparently they are also tied into Metro PD. Two officers came strolling up asking if we were under duress.

Nope. Apparently my power pro counterpart doesnt know how to operate the security pad and hit the emergency button.
