IFLA: The Edition of the Horoscope for the Week of August 22

On the way to do battle!

The only alignment is Sun-Earth-Moon-Jupiter retrograde, indicating a larger than usual amount of domestic misrule.  The only thing that keeps this out of “No shit Sherlock” territory is the “than usual” part.  Yay.

Your neutrality will not help you here!

Even with domestic misrule, it’s a good week to be in a romantic relationship, with Venus in Libra keeping tiffs to a minimum.  Doubly so if you’re a woman in a relationship, since Mars in Virgo indicates that you’ll be on the winning side of any arguments that do occur.

A whole lot of doom-N-gloom ™ in the cards this week.  I just draws ’em.

Leo:  10 of Swords – Pain, affliction, tears, sadness, desolation.

Virgo:  The Fool reversed – Negligence, absence, distribution, carelessness, apathy, nullity, vanity.

Libra:  4 of Swords reversed – Wise administration, circumspection, economy, avarice, precaution, testament.

Scorpio:  Knight of Wands – Departure, absence, flight, emigration. A dark young man, friendly. Change of residence.

Sagittarius:  5 of Coins – Material troubles, destitution, love and lovers-wife, husband, friend, mistress.

Capricorn:  Page of Swords reversed – Sneaky backstabbing weasel.  And not in a good way.

Aquarius:  2 of Swords reversed – Imposture, falsehood, duplicity, disloyalty, misdirected revenge.

Pisces:  The Star – Loss, theft, privation, abandonment, hope and bright prospects

Aries:  The Moon reversed – Instability, inconstancy, silence, lesser degrees of deception and error.

Taurus:  Wheel of Fortune reversed –  Increase, abundance, superfluity.

Gemini:  The Blank card – whew.  You dodged a bullet there.

Cancer:  2 of Wands – Riches, fortune, magnificence, physical suffering, disease, chagrin, sadness, mortification.

After a long day of physical exertion, it’s good to relax at the mud bath.

You couldnt put one positive word in there to make me feel better?
At least the storm completely whiffed on long island. Just about 4 inches of steady rain.

    Yeah. Whatever.

Seems Google traffic is still working in Kabul and it looks like the commute to the airport is OK until you get to the traffic circle (but they’re always a bottle neck).

    OT: Beshear loses

The Kentucky governor’s efforts to aggressively combat COVID-19 suffered a legal defeat Saturday as the state’s high court cleared the way for new laws to rein in his emergency powers.

In a landmark separation-of-powers case, the Kentucky Supreme Court said the legislature wields policy-making authority to limit the emergency powers granted to the governor by state law.

The ruling ordered a lower court to dissolve an injunction that for months had blocked the Republican-backed laws from curbing Democratic Gov. Andy Beshear’s executive authority.

        I…what is that?

Why do these people exist? Seems like natural selection should have trimmed this particular branch of human evolution long ago.

Sadly mental illness has never been in short supply.

I don’t even wanna read the crap-o-scope. Bad enough the weasley back stabbing FDA is approving Pfizer’s politically useful drug, after denying so many other drugs that people actually wanted for so many decades. Now my asshole employers will be twice as forceful in doing the bidding of the democrat party. I’m going to have to try and persuade my doc into signing an exemption. I wanted to just plain refuse, but the various tentacles of the democrat party are hell-bent on forcing it on me.

The problem with ignoring politics is that I may not be interested in it, but it’s certainly interested in me.

    *thinks about feudal peasants*

    Same as it ever was.

  11. Tres Cool

Could this have something to do with this week’s shitty horoscope ?

  12. Grumbletarian

Scorpio: Knight of Wands – Departure, absence, flight, emigration. A dark young man, friendly. Change of residence.

Still no official word on my promotion-or-not other than I am still in consideration. I have quietly set my Linkedin profile to let prospective employers back in NH know I am interested in work.

When I messed around with Tarot cards I always shuffled the deck and drew to avoid getting reversed cards as much as possible. I appreciate that you have no such compunctions about drawing some nasty jazz.
