Tampa cruised. San Fran were fortunate the Cowboys coaching staff made a series of bad play calls. The Chefs throttled the Steelers. And Arizona-Rams is tonight, which makes no sense to me. Djokovic was removed from Australia in an extrajudicial manner that proves laws aren’t important to the Australian government, and that the entire island is lost. Don’t expect Aussie Open highlights from me. I won’t be paying attention. And across the pond, Liverpool thumped Brentford with their two top scorers playing in an international tournament (while Arsenal were given a pass for basically the same reason). And that’s sports.
Nobody is gonna listen to this stupid shit anyway. So I guess it doesn’t really matter. Except for the fact that these imbeciles are in charge of a lot of other stuff, and this should call their judgment into question.
I remember a lot of east coasters were mocking Texas for a freak storm we had last year doing this to us. I’m not gonna mock them back, however. I hope their power is restored quickly and they’re safe.
This is a bit extreme. You know, since failure to pay fines can result in being sent to jail. So to be clear: if you don’t get vaccinated, the government can put you in a cage. Fortunately that hasn’t happened in any of the states yet. But it’s not too far off in some states, if their governments get their way.
Just hook it to my veins!! This would be the funniest shit ever.
I’ll join you in prayer, lady. I pray that you’re exposed and resign in shame.
Well this is a start. Now let’s see the flight logs of who went to the island.
You can’t fix stupid. But fortunately you can rescue stupid people.
This one is bad all the way around. And everybody involved deserves to be behind bars.
Here’s some rock for you. Enjoy it.
And enjoy this holiday Monday, dear friends.
I remember a lot of east coasters were mocking Texas for a freak storm we had last year doing this to us. I’m not gonna mock them back, however. I hope their power is restored quickly and they’re safe.
Youngkin learned from all his mistakes he made during the last storm.
::golf clap::
The “east coast” getting knocked out by this storm consists of the southeast, also usually not well-equipped to handle serious winter storms.
I’ve spent many a day in TN hunkered down in front of the fire place waiting for the power to come back on.
In Fort Worth I could have done the same (power never went out in two decades), but did you ever notice that west of the Chisholm Trail (I-35), there ain’t no trees? Every house in Amarillo has a chimney, but they’re still. Camping in Palo Duro, you hafta truck in your own firewood.
I lived on I-35 (Temple), I always maintained that was the dividing line, E-W TX. The desert starts west of 35.
I live at the northern end of I-35.
And I think the people poking fun at Texas for the response to that storm were mainly Left leaning Northeasterners.
That San Fran – Dallas game was awful.
What a sloppy, undisciplined mess. Neither team deserved to win.
I can’t get my head around what Dak was trying to do on the last play. A pass play was the only possibility, but he slid with less than 10 seconds to go!! The ref ran up to touch the ball but couldn’t get through the line.
All I can figure is Dak had a brain fart and thought they had one more time out.
And then he showed his class regarding the fans throwing stuff at the Officials by saying of the fans “Credit to them.”
It’s think the fact that his own team made 14 penalties that game might have led him to pause and reflect before speaking.
They weren’t throwing stuff, they were saying “Let’s go Dakota!”
At least we won’t have to worry about the refs from the Raiders/Bengals game.
Wow. I knew the officials get reviewed every week and that playoff games are a reward for a job well done, but that is…pretty darned public airing of laundry.
The plague strikes again, I’m guessing. Is there no limit to how much it can ruin sports?
To be honest, (TW: Tin Foil Hat time!), it seems like part of a movement to further feminize (or at least de-masculize) popular sports.
The CDC says we should ban football and wrestling. No mention of basketball, track, swimming, baseball/softball, all of which have a reasonably “sustainable” number of female athletes participating.
But gridiron football and Olympic style wrestling? Not so much.
I detect bitter feminists and commies.
It’s not a covid thing. It’s the way the NFL has put together playoff officiating crews for a long time. They are supposed to be like all-pro teams. The Best!
Exactly. Was already rooting against the Cowgirls, but that is just egregious lack of self awareness and taking responsibility for your own actions.
“If the scientists at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had their way, to curb the spread of Covid-19 right now, nearly every US school would cancel football, wrestling, band and loads of other mainstay school activities.”
I recall when going to class was a mainstay school activity. Also cancelled , wherever the teachers’ unions have enough power, I suppose.
I’m wondering how that article made it through the CNN censors. Or have we always been at war with Eastasia?
I think they’re deliberately shifting their rhetoric to something that approaches reality in response to DNC polling for the 2022 midterms.
What high school is playing football in January?
“Rock you you?”
Ju-ju?
A great song, btw!
It’s early and I ain’t had no coffee.
“Burnin’ for you” could easily be about a CL personals hookup.
“Burning from you” fixed it.
I gave it the old college try on ESPN last night but their coverage is shit as usual. “Have a few games from these guys we don’t care about while we wait for Nadal! or Osaka! to walk on. But first, let’s yak in the studio for fifteen minutes.”
If the scientists at the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention had their way, to curb the spread of Covid-19 right now, nearly every US school would cancel football, wrestling, band and loads of other mainstay school activities.
If I had my way, those “scientists” would be crucified along Pennsylvania Avenue.
And we would make sure the politicians that strong armed them would join them there too?
Bloused my trousers to walk up to the barn and get the snowblower…snow was still over the top of my boots.
With that comment I decided to go take a look outside. About 18 inches so far, and still coming down. And I live on the side of Cleveland that does not get hit with lake effect snow.
You have quite a bit more than we at this point. We’re supposed to get another 3 or so inches today which should put us around 12 total.
The predictions were for up to 12 inches in the snow belt (where the lake effect snow hits). Doesn’t appear to be much in the way of drifts at least. Looking on the back patio, the snow is coming up to the seats of the patio furniture.
When I bought this snowblower, it was about 10-12 years ago. We had a predicted dump of 12-14 inches, but where our old house was, we tended to get a lot more than the forecast called for. We got 26″. I had bought a smaller snowblower a day or two earlier, but when I tried it out, it immediately jammed up and threw a belt. I took it back to Sears and got the 2nd from the top of the line they had instead. This thing eats snow up quite satisfactorily.
82 year-old Tres Sr. bought a snowblower for the 1st time in his life last fall.
I told him, “thanks for insuring we dont have any snow”
I’ve got a shovel.
The girlfriend decided to spring for plowing service for the driveway as well. Looks like shit’s going to get really messy later this week, as the we’re supposed to get a mix of snow and rain Wednesday, with temps dropping into the teens after that.
Skating rink?
I suspect with the rain over the snow that we got, this is going to be a goddam mess to deal with.
We were supposed to get a combo of snow and sleet but as far as I can tell we got lucky and only got the snow. Hope all goes well for you folks out further East.
Well this is super simples, man!
Just have an unelected bureaucrat declare that all non essential travel, including work travel for non-essential workers is banned.
All positive, no negative consequences.
The nice combo of rain/snow we got this time (opposite of the storm 2 weeks ago that dicked up 95) is that all the snow is gone since the rain came (and temps went up to 45 by midnight(!)). Now of course…my yard is sodden and I don’t think 1 li’l willow is enough to handle it…..
It’s turned to rain here. I need to stop procrastinating and get the snowblower out or else the snow will be too wet and heavy for the snowblower.
We didn’t get all that much snow, maybe three, four inches.
We had about 3 inches of snow, which the rain compressed down to an inch of very wet slush – although it did manage to freeze on the sidewalk.
whaddup doh
“In this case, the criticism is different; the concern is that CDC staffers, while hardworking, smart, and well-intentioned,…”
Im being asked to assume facts neither currently in evidence nor realistic.
I’ll join you in prayer, lady. I pray that you’re exposed and resign in shame.
Some people acting surprised, like they’ve never seen “The Wire”.
Sheeeeeeeit!
The existential angst of a grown up red diaper baby
Even then, I feared what fellow parents might think of me. I’m well aware of the stereotypes of white parents choosing the private-school option when the going gets tough at public schools. I told myself that prioritizing being a “good leftist” at the expense of my son’s well-being wasn’t good parenting, but as a red-diaper baby myself, the white guilt dies hard. My own parents had sent me to an elementary school with a huge majority of Black and Pacific Islander students; while many might assume the white parents documented in the New York Times podcast “Nice White Parents” were pioneers, my parents reverse-integrated me into a “failing” school 40 years ago. Sending my kid to private school was accompanied by a lot of angst.
My fears were amplified by the backlash I and other school reopening advocates had faced throughout the school year, particularly on social media. There were a range of insults lobbed at us: We were bad parents who didn’t care about our own kids or teachers dying, we only wanted our babysitters back and our frustrations about school closures were an example of “white supremacy.” Los Angeles teachers union head Cecily Myart-Cruz stated that reopening schools was “a recipe for propagating structural racism.”
Longwinded tearjerker about a good progressive mommie who suddenly realizes the teachers union couldn’t actually care less about children or education.
I don’t think she has completely grasped the complete swindle which is “public health” but she might be on on the right track.
Are struggle sessions usually this long-winded?
She should embrace tradition and print this out on a dunce hat and wear it in a public square.
First world problems make stupid people act dumb as shit. Maybe we need to go back to the times where disease & hunger were worrying people trying to keep up with nature’s uncaring ways so we can get back to a stronger stock of people…
I think we’re too far gone. I think people will continue to care about made up problems and ignore the real, and difficult ones. People don’t like facing reality.
Reality will reassert itself. It always does.
Unfortunately, that comes with a fair amount of suffering.
This is sadly true.
The “lowering of expectations” and empty grocery shelves is something I never imagined I’d see in the US, but here we are.
Supply chain shortages simply because people make money at home on COVID aid, or don’t want to get a shot so they get fired, the apathy of knowing, gut-deep, that your society is dying.
This is how we go out. This is why there’s no applicable analogy to America in the book of Revelation; we will be irrelevant.
Speaking of… the random outages/shortages at the grocery store yesterday were frozen breakfast items (all of them), frozen chicken (pieces and processed items), salads (still), and eggs (whole empty sections of the cooler).
On the plus side, seasoned pork tenderloins were on sale again, so I had that going for me..
^^^THIS^^^
Societies create what too many call harsh rules against stupid people and bad behavior for a reason, and that reason isn’t the usual bullshit about racism/sexism/and other isms we usually get told hold people back…
Scarcity has its own way of making sure the stupid people get weeded out, and we are heading for a reset in that direction, sooner than later, it feels like.
Chesterton’s fences have all been torn down.
We’re going to find out which ones were there for good reason.
I hope she gets sent to the camps first. It would be what she deserves.
Okay, maybe that isn’t the right sentiment, but seriously, fuck lefties.
Awwwww…..
Poor baby ends up on the receiving end of the vitriol they no doubt launched at others over the years. Cry me a river.
I don’t understand why I was barren but society-destroying nut bars like her reproduced.
Sad days. I wanted to join the quiver-full movement, but God had different ideas. *shrug*
I suppose cynics aren’t necessarily the best parents. Though generally I have a very positive constitution naturally. Even when contemplating the ruin of civilization I do it with humor.
I also think perhaps I didn’t have kids because I am destined for something that will require sacrifice, which I’d be less willing to do if I had dependents.
Cheers.?
You are a Firster?!?!?!? ;^)
that does make it more difficult, or easier to chicken out.
I am a very negative person, so I married an optimist who is perpetually happy. 😀
Not sure who is rubbing off on who though. :/
Heh, and you still turned out a lefty? Guess sending you to public school worked.
Over the past few weeks, the agency has faced criticism for issuing guidance that was confusing or seemed counterintuitive. In this case, the criticism is different; the concern is that CDC staffers, while hardworking, smart, and well-intentioned, don’t always consider whether Americans will — or even can — follow their advice.
Stop it. You’re killing me.
and well-intentioned
They’re certainly paving the road to hell. I’ll give them that.
don’t always consider whether Americans will — or even can — follow their advice.
You knuckle-dragging, low-brow, mouth-breathing ingrates need to do as you’re told.
*holds breath*
“…who committed suicide tomorrow.”
Lol
Hillary vs Trump 2024?!?
I hate lazy sequel writing.
But I do love their duet:
https://youtu.be/R8Wde1fFvPg
However, campaigning will take a break the day SS checks come so the candidates can hit WalMart and stock up on a month’s supply of expendables.
It’s so predictable it’s tedious, isn’t it?
Parasites who have no skills or labor to contribute somehow claw their way to the top, and we politely stand by.
One sports story missed: Everton avoid relegation by firing insane hire Benitez.
Next hire will probably be just as bad.
There should be some real panic from my team’s crosstown rival. They might go down.
There is too much talent and the bottom is really bad, so I dont think so. But, recent trend is bad. A good bump from a firing should be enough.
They apparently want Martinez back, but he’s more likely to stay with Belgium thru the World Cup. So on to another second choice.
That was the “just as bad” I was referring to.
Rooney would be better, doing something decent at Derby.
But I think go with Ferguson as interim. At least the insanity would come with a nice dose of ultra-violence.
“Give 120% or I will fuckin’ kill you.” — Duncan Ferguson, probably
I hadnt looked at the Championship table in a while, but Derby Co has a real chance to avoid relegation, despite starting -21.
That whole situation is a shitshow. He deserves a lot of credit for keeping things together.
And it could get worse: apparently Mike Ashley who basically wrecked Newcastle is putting in a bid to buy Derby.
I’m not clued-in enough to guess why Benitez was a bad hire. He was successful elsewhere.
Weird formations and player choices, mostly. He wasnt popular from at hire, because of Liverpool connection and comments made at time. That went away with decent start, then injuries started and his decisions, while limited by availability, became increasingly odd.
Meh, that’s not on him. The players’ job is to do what they’re told.
If he later made bad decisions, fine. Toss him.
I meant with the fans. No idea how the players felt. The only big player fallout has been with Lucas Digne. Who was just sold. Why they let him sell him 2 days before firing him, I have no idea. The board and ownership our completely lost too.
She added that the guidance “is really one piece of a layered prevention strategy that schools can use. CDC continues to recommend layered prevention, including universal masking, including screening, testing, and a variety of other strategies.”
Such as?
Posting selfies of your vaccination band-aid on Facebook.
Universal masking.
They’re still on that bullshit even though every place it’s implemented shows no improvement in case rate.
It’s like the transgender lie. Once you accept one obvious falsehood and repeat it, you’ve given up your dignity and are prone to repeating whatever tripe the authorities produce.
They will just say that people aren’t doing it right.
That’s true at least, which is why masking only works in computer models.
Hillary vs. Trump redux:
Trump: We need to take America back!
Hillary: Back to the Stone Age, you mean.
T: America is too important to be trusted to more failure like the failed Biden-Harris administration
H: Trump failed America and you, The People, elected Biden to replace him.
T: The Swamp is even deeper than I imagined my first time around, but this time I know what to do going in. I will clean house.
H: You’ve already seen what Trump means for America, it’s time to give a new way a try
Shit, we may be fucked if that matchup happens.
It’s Godzilla versus Queen Ghidorah.
You know, if the respective parties actually nominate those two, that will be my sign to pack it out. There would be absolutely no hope for this country – because of the fucking voters.
Seriously – a couple of worthless geezers well into their 70s. The blowhard do nothing versus the ultimate grifter.
DeSantis is an obvious choice for the Republicans.
We must move forward, not backward; upward, not forward; and always twirling, twirling, twirling toward freedom.
Agree. Hilary would win (I think).
But how can her health hold up? She nearly croaked last time. And this time around, trying to blame pneumonia for her collapsing won’t go over as well. Especially when she says she went out and hugged a kid.
Maybe that’s why they’re keeping up the COVID charade? Keep it going long enough that Hillary won’t be “allowed” to campaign, you know, for the health of the people!
And also a perfect excuse for the Dems states to keep fraud-by-mail in place to ensure proper election fortification.
I look forward to the best president in US history defeating Hillary again.
Trump’s a proven entity to fight corruption and Democrats know it.
‘Proven’ only to the extent that he’s proven that he’s incapable of it.
Trump is probably not corrupt himself in any meaningful way, but in four years he didn’t excise a single bit of the bureaucratic rot in Washington. If anything, he made it worse by his very presence.
Trump made it worse by giving the rot something to point at to distract from its own corruption, and to use what public goodwill they manufactured in the process to dig in even deeper.
“… in four years he didn’t excise a single bit of the bureaucratic rot in Washington.”
True enough. And given that the FBI, intelligence agencies, the entire Democrat party, 2/3 of the Republicans, academia and the media hated him and went wild blocking anything he tried to do, what would you expect?
The lesson to be learned from that is: the rot is solidly in place with plenty of powerful support to keep it there. Anyone who tries to take it on in a big way will get the same treatment and have the same results.
Not at all. Trump didn’t fail because the permanent bureaucracy is undefeatable. Trump failed because he, despite all his big-business pretentions, is not an executive, does not have an executive mindset, and is too insecure to bring in trusted executive managers to dismantle the bureaucracy.
The problem, of course, is that there isn’t anyone else in the GOP bullpen who is positioned to make a presidential run, and who has a record of high-level executive function.
Jack Welch would have actually done all the things Trump talked up. Trump was like Reagan in that regard – he could talk a great game.
Im not a huge fan of Reagan but Reagan was instrumental behind breaking the back of the USSR. He also made it okay to be a non-Lefty in America again. His early successes include making sure Commies in Hollywood got exposed.
And yet, that would have been sufficient to keep him from succeeding.
The permanent bureaucracy is literally beholden to no one. They are insulated from the elected officials by law; and also have no competition, again, by law.
Another thing Trump did was expose the Deep State bureaucrats for what they mostly are. Americans saw that. Whether enough Americans will demand change is something different.
Trump helped link the Democrat Party to Communism and that will be their death nail. The Democrat Party tied to Socialism was kind of working. COVID lockdowns and jab mandates and Communist CRT in schools is pissing Americans off.
EvilSheldon has it.
I think you guys are wrong about Trump or what these other people should have done. The evidence of what Trump did, didnt do, and tried to do speaks for itself. Trump being insecure is not accurate and there is nothing to support that. Have you ever heard of Trump not making a decision? He also makes a bunch of correct decisions to more than make up for wrong decisions he might make.
You easily forget Lefties attacking anyone willing to work for Trump and many RINOs and never-Trumpers who would rather let America stay a corrupt country than try to actually make it better. How exactly was trump supposed to get good anti-govt people to work in shitty D.C. being unable to protect themselves from looney Lefties?
Additionally, Trump has multiple super successful businesses and one being his Trump brand.
Luckily, Trump’s record speaks for itself and Lefties hated what he had done, was doing, and planned to do. They House Impeached him twice for it. He must have been doing something right.
I can list his accomplishments if you would like. If so, I would ask for a list of specific things his failures.
I remember a lot of east coasters were mocking Texas for a freak storm we had last year doing this to us. I’m not gonna mock them back, however. I hope their power is restored quickly and they’re safe.
It didn’t end up too bad here. Original calls were for up to 20” of snow. We got maybe 5” and thin layer of ice. Bad wind gusts today though. Unfortunately, the wife woke up feeling like shit this morning and we had a rapid test on hand from the MIL that confirmed it was Covid. My vaxed under duress self isn’t feeling too great either. Fortunately, I stocked up zinc, quercetin, and ivermectin so we are set and already on the FLCCC protocol even though the roads are not really drivable.
There’s no way the kids don’t have it and they are all completely asymptomatic besides a sniffle or two. I’m hoping we keep power, but I’ve already prepped the generator and am ready to go if something happens today.
Hope you feel better.
On the weather note: Around here, whatever depth of snow they call for is always . . . ALWAYS . . . more than we actually get.
It settles pretty fast, especially if it’s wet. No snow here for a few days and it’s gone down quite a bit. I like a lot of snow, we can always use the moisture in the spring and less worrying about the fire danger.
Thanks, it shouldn’t be too bad. Wife has already done a 180 turnaround after her first doses and a nap.
Fourscore, I’m hoping the snow finally lifts the burn ban around here. Moisture isn’t usually a problem in VA, but it’s been strangely dry lately.
TMITE: Edition 17,494,736
“The AP has recently told its editors and reporters to avoid emphasizing case counts in stories about the disease. That means, for example, no more stories focused solely on a particular country or state setting a one-day record for number of cases”

Mid-terms are coming
It may be the only thing that “end[s] COVID.”
They don’t even bother pretending that they’re not just Democrat propagandists.
2-fold. Mid terms are coming – “Thanks to our strong leadership and making tough decisions, covid is now under control. Vote for us to keep it under control by going after the deplorables”. But just as important I think is that case counts no longer serve the narrative like they did in the past to sow fear and compliance. Now, if they continue to focus on case counts, even the slowest of the covidians is going to start seeing a pattern of very high infection rates coupled with very high vaccination rates, maybe even anti-correlation if the negative efficacy bears out. Not good for the “ever one get vaccinated” narrative.
You just needed another booster! Get one NOW!
Well 65% boosted countries (adults population) like Israel Denmark Iceland are having record waves…
That’s why we need a fourth booster . . .duh!
Good heavens.
After the day I had after the J&J “booster”, I will never get a “vaccine” again.
My immune system declared all-out war on my body, and I’d never felt more sick so quickly. I’ll take that as the warning it was meant to be.
Jesus. Hope you’re feeling 100% now.
1-2 doses is debatable, but I really don’t think the boosters are a good idea. :/
It’s become so obvious that the vaccines don’t work – the people I work with don’t even ask any longer if somebody with covid was vaccinated (they assume “yes”).
OT Reuters story:
Cold-case investigation leads to surprise suspect in Anne Frank’s betrayal
“AMSTERDAM (Reuters) -A six-year cold case investigation into the betrayal of Anne Frank has identified a surprising suspect in the death of the famous diarist, who was discovered in her canal side hideout and died in a Nazi concentration camp in 1945.
A relatively unknown figure, Jewish notary Arnold van den Bergh, has been named as a suspect by a team that included retired U.S. FBI agent Vincent Pankoke and around 20 historians, criminologists and data specialists. Some other experts emphasised that the evidence was not conclusive.[….]”
This is one of those stories that just goes to show that treachery knows no bounds and usually punished by death. If true, this van den Bergh likely gave up other Jewish families to save his own family.
People never get tired of the story of Frank and who spilled the beans
*narrows gaze*
Too early, took a while to catch on, Jimbo. Home run first time at bat
Covid has shown just how little it takes for people to panic and roll on their fellow citizens.
There are two parts to the human dilemma
The other is the betrayal of the human spirit: the assertion of dogma that closes the mind and turns a nation, a civilization into a regiment of ghosts–obedient ghosts, or tortured ghosts.
Hey, why are you othering ghosts, db? We come in many shades, the very picture of diversity!
Eeewwwwww, ‘patzer. Just use a kleenex or a sock.
Rule 34, I suppose…
The sad part is we’re in an age of unlimited communication (for now at least). People have the opportunity to figure this shit out and just actively ignore it.
Unlimited except if the primary distribution points are controlled by active censors.
Yea, I’m pretty disappointed with my generation. We grew up with access to alternative view points and bits of knowledge available that easily counter the bullshit narrative of the day, and yet we swallow the lie.
Inequity KILLS
In recent weeks, as the omicron variant spread rapidly across the United States, Americans have found that the financial costs of the pandemic are increasingly falling on their shoulders.
As Covid-19 cases have climbed, public health experts have urged people to dump their cloth masks in favor of higher-quality options and to test more frequently to curb the virus.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention on Friday updated its mask guidance to note that the disposable N95 or KN95 masks offer the “highest level of protection” against the virus.
For some, the added financial burden is an irritation — but still affordable. To others, the prospect of paying $1 for a single disposable mask or $24 for a test kit is an economic impossibility, raising the specter that the pandemic will continue to exacerbate inequalities.
Go ahead. Piss away your money on faith healing relics and magical sin detectors. It will keep the Devil away from your door.
Only the symptomatic should be tested anyway.
And only if they want to be on a list and get calls from a friendly health bureaucrat.
I particularly enjoyed Rand Paul’s weekend tweet:
“ Rand Paul asks if YouTube will ‘kiss my …. and apologize’ as the CDC revises cloth mask guidance months after he was suspended from the site for claiming they don’t work”
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10407941/amp/Rand-Paul-asks-YouTube-kiss-apologize-CDC-revises-mask-guidance.html
The Trump vs Hitlary rematch is being pushed by the MSM a bit. its funny because they feel that they have to ease up on Trump to “lure” him back into running. Then they would use all the old lies, along with new lies and of course election fraud to steal it for Hillary. The fact that Hillary is the Lefty choice over their sitting el Presidente Biden and Vice-Duche Kamala is hilarious!
It appears Trump is running anyways but who knows.
It boggles the mind that a candidate who paid for the fake trump dossier is being considered as a “serious” candidate.
She has bona fides!
Most qualified candidate ever.
On a good note: the Deep State cannot even find a corrupt palatable candidate that can get honestly elected in the USA.
I say good because if they could, this corruption would continue to hide in the background for decades. The utter corruption is impossible to ignore.
Finally, a real choice for more voters between the Republicans and Democrats.
Now for the bad news. The Deep State will act more desperately to protect themselves and their jobs. If law enforcement and the military officer continue to protect these corrupt traitors, it will get bloody. Transparent and non-fraudulent elections are the only way out of Civil War 2.0 without bloodletting.
Mueller already proved that Trump colluded with Russia to destroy democracy. – the left
He’s been alienating his base by pushing the vaccines, even if he is anti mandate.
PSA: Be sure your electric auxiliary generators are fully charged before the Big Storm hits.
I’ll just run the truck heater in the garage
That ingenuity is breathtaking.
I said before that current waves in heavy booster countries make me skeptical of transmission protection. I am usually open to look at studies, but as I also mentioned I don;t feel I can trust them anymore.
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.12.27.21268278v1.full
this one from denmark claims booster prevents some within households transmission.
One thing seems to be that vaccinated means “fully vaccinated (defined by the vaccine used, Comirnaty (Pfizer/BioNTech): 7 days after second dose; Vaxzevria (AstraZeneca): 15 days after second dose; Spikevax (Moderna): ”
And it seems if you have one dose of vaccine ar two doses but 5 are 5 days from the second, you count as unvaccinated which is strange. They do somewhat control for household size based but not enough methinks. Also given boosted are generally older and young people get out much more and are unboosted, it seems difficult top ascertain transmission was inside the household.
“We defined the secondary attack rate (SAR) within households as the proportion of potential secondary cases within the same household that tested positive between 1-7 days following the positive test of the primary case within the household (15). Adjusted odds ratios (OR) were estimated from multivariable logistic regression models fit to the binary outcome of test status of each potential secondary case, with the primary explanatory variable reflecting the strain type in the household (Omicron vs. Delta VOC) and potentially confounding variables of age and sex of the primary case, age and sex of the potential secondary case, and household size (2-6 individuals). To test if vaccine status conferred differential protection against the Omicron and Delta VOC, we included an interaction term between vaccination status of primary and potential secondary cases and the variant. Standard errors were adjusted to control for clustering at the household level.”
they did use all sorts of adjustments but I wonder how the choice of adjustment influences the results
I keep banging on about transmission protection because if the vax does not really stop transmission there is no case to force the vax on young healthy people (I mean there was never a case to do that for rational people, but I mean there is no case even for politicians)
If they don’t follow through on this promise, how will they get more kickbacks in the future?
Propaganda 101: Spin that the Democrat Party was the Party of segregation and MLK was preaching against. Make the anti-slavery and segregation Republican Party into the Black American haters and how the GOP is trying to keep voting from being “fair”. Any Black American who buys into this horse shit is an idiot. If you believe this Democrat lie, you are literally helping the political Party that enslaved your ancestors. I’ve said it.
Democrats came up short on MLK day promise. What’s next for the push for a voting rights bill?
I’ll pass on the link and just SMDH in wonder at the constant repetition of the mendacious bullshit phrase “voting rights bill”.
Reminding them that MLK was a republican, and LBJ actually said (paraphrased) about the civil rights act, “if we can get this bill passed we’ll have these niggers voting democratic for the next 100 years) will only fall on deaf ears.
Although I think LBJ was referring to his “Great Society” program when he said that.
The media is more desperate for a Trump ’24 run than the most fervent Trumpista.
Without Trump, they have nothing to talk about.
Without Trump they have no eyeballs to sell to advertisers.
No shit. During vacation last week, and due to my 3rd shift schedule, Id usually watch the 11 pm local news, followed by Stephen Colbert.
I joked on here more than once that Id keep the TV on up to the point he mentioned Trump. The few times I tried that experiment, it wasnt even a minute or two into his monologue.
Time for Trump to decide between his ego and the party winning.
You assume some Republican besides Trump will win. They probably wont.
Trump is the proven entity AND he can rally people to guard against Democrat election fraud. Some other Republican will get the RINO lie treatment that Democrats dont cheat on elections so nothing to look out for.
I think Desantis has what it takes. He’s certainly putting himself out there. And he would fare better against anyone the Dems put up, including Herself.
But who knows, it’s far too early for this stuff so I’ll mostly refrain from idle speculation.
It is way too early, but I think Desantis would win. He would offer a big contrast to Hillary. He’s younger and has actually done stuff. He’s not part of some political family that everyone is tired of. She’d spout theory and he’d point to his record.
DeSantis is impressing me but he is running on a record from one state, Florida. He is just not nationally known or proven nationally. Obviously Trump had no political record to run on and he did great with what he had to work with.
Trump is getting old but he has a proven national record of fighting Commies at every turn. That’s what I want. I want 4 more years og Trump tweeting to drive Lefties crazy and him rolling back govt at every turn with a strong economy because he backs off regulation.
DeSantis would probably be my second choice, if he was running.
Trump/DeSantis ticket would work for me.
Pence is out.
he did great
pffffft
DeSantis is surprisingly well known, and well liked by conservatives, outside of Florida. A lot of it is due to the reporting on Florida’s response to covid.
I never even heard of DeSantis until 2020. Florida had/has more COVID restrictions than Georgia but got more media attention. I think the large number of NY residents influences FL, unlike Georgia.
I also think talk is cheap and DeSantis has to go to war with Lefties before I fully trust him. Trump has gone to war against Lefties.
None of this shit matters if the Cons don’t secure the voting process for this year’s election. If Congress does not flip with some actual conservatives/libertarians coming in, 2024 is going to be a nightmare.
I would like Trump to roll in with someone like DeSantis as VP. Make Abbott the AG, and clean house. I know this a fever dream, but whatever.
The right Top Men FTW!!!
Yep….the midterms and the size of the red tsunami and how the Dems beclown themselves afterwards will give a much better indication.
Like he did last time?
Please. Trump had his chance, and he failed. The deep state laughed at him while lining their pockets.
Trump will certainly run again, and he’s positioned well to win the presidency again. He has a lot of good reasons to run – he can (potentially) use the office to quash indictments and stonewall investigations into his businesses, and he can make a lot of money promoting his new media group. What he can’t do, as we’ve seen, is handle the bureaucracy, and he’s too much of an egotist to bring in competent sidemen who can.
If Trump didn’t make it clear that nobody can handle the corrupt & evil bureaucracy anymore, I don’t know what will make Americans understand that short of a nuclear weapon taking out D.C. we are done for. That kakistocracy (credit to the Pope) has been weaponized and realizes that the checks and balances that existed to prevent abuse are all gone. Anyone that threatens their racket will be dealt with. Doesn’t matter who you elect.
See my previous comment.
The Deep State didnt win or websites like this would be shut down. You and I would be talking in person at a concentration camp.
Trump is only one person and did great for 1 term as President. I dont see how anyone reasonably expected Trump and Trump alone to drain the swamp by himself. Trump helped set in motion the end of the Democrat Party.
The federal bureaucracy is controlled mostly by Congress. It will take a President, courts, and majority of congressmen to shrink the federal budget and fire 75%+ of federal workers.
Or 1-2% of American Patriots will force the corruption of the federal govt to end.
Civil War 2.0 is upon us and war is hell.
Nothing comes between Trump and his ego.
Good. We need an egomaniac that wants to fight for America.
Guess who were also egomaniacs that fought for America?
George Washington
Ulysees Grant
George Patton
Douglas MacArthur
Uffda. This story makes no sense, but it is illustrative of how fucked up LEOs are when it comes to rules for them.
A local police chief is resigning over charges that he was a straw purchaser of a pistol for the chief he replaced. The ex-chief was prevented from buying his pistol because he didn’t have a Minnesoda address.
What makes it more confusing is that the person who ratted out the chief, is the ex-chief. Yes the guy who got the pistol. I guess he did so because the two got in some other pissing match.
Like I said, it is confusing. Kudos to the gun shop owner who refused to rubberstamp the firearm purchase to the ex-chief.
this would not have been an issue if no one had guns.
Something must be amiss in MN, in CA the cops (and ex-cops) are ALWAYS exempt from whatever stupid fucking law the rest of us have to live under.
To be fair, I think the only reason this cop got in trouble is because it was another cop making the accusation.
I’m almost certain this is just around the corner. Especially if you believe that Rasmussen poll someone posted yesterday.
https://www.rasmussenreports.com/public_content/politics/partner_surveys/jan_2022/covid_19_democratic_voters_support_harsh_measures_against_unvaccinated
Of course they support harsh measures against the unvaccinated. They now know that they were duped into getting injected with a novel mRNA ‘Vaccine” with unknown long-term effects and which doesn’t stop infection, transmission, or even sickness from the virus. They want everyone else to be forced into the same situation they were conned into.
They don’t think anyone should have a choice, we’re all in this together- whether you like it or not.

Dr. William Schaffner, an adviser to the CDC for four decades, said it’s “unlikely, unreasonable, and unrealistic” to think Americans will follow either of the agency’s suggestions.
That’s an understatement.
“The best way to avoid a car accident or getting stranded is to stay put,” said Gov. Roy Cooper said in a statement on Sunday. “Fewer people on the road means fewer car crashes, plus it allows highway crews and utility workers to get faster results,” he said.

The only positive? At least it isn’t light rail.
But don’t think they didn’t waste tons of money!
Simple fix, Have the urban geographers pull rickshaws.
That would be cultural appropriation.

C’mon Alex! It was only $150M. That is a steal when it comes to a mass transit project.

Ask anyone from the South. The trauma of Oscar Mayer olive loaf still haunts me.
Olive loaf in and of itself is an abomination.
I just bought some a month ago – because of nostalgia – and am happy to report that it is as tasty as ever.
Didn’t they have olive loaf with pimentos too?
Bull sack meat with olives….
I remember pimento cheese. Haven’t seen it in ages.
The slices weren’t even individually wrapped.
Yeah, I carried many sammiches with that. I loved it as a OneScore.
I am ashamed to admit that I miss turkeyloaf from my distant youth.
I loved that stuff.

Third time’s a charm
So Bernie will finally get the nomination?
Hillary will skin suit him and then take over…
She didn’t listen to Bill the last time she ran.
To be fair, Bill was neck deep in underage pussy on Epstein Island, so Hillary could easily ignore him.
Bill Clinton doesnt have all the helpful answers. He couldnt get elected this Century. The days of people believing Democrat lies are over. Bill Clinton is not a Commie, so Democrats would never elect him. Think about it. Bill Clinton was the last Democrat President to be elected before Commie Obama got the nod. Barrack got elected as the sacrifice to keep Black Americans in the Democrat Party.

Sweets to the sweet! ::bats eyes::
Well, okay – semi-sweets to the semi-sweet.
even so I do not understand why one would get a mix with pre-added sugar. Is it not better to add your own to taste?
See above re: laziness and impatience – especially first thing in the morning.

it does look under-cooked
Bacon should be cooked until the fat is crispy on the edges but still offers a juicy counterpart to the meat, which should never be cooked to crispness.
Also, waffles should never have cheese on them (special dispensation given for cream cheese).
I assume in the waffles is acceptable? Because bacon cheddar waffles are good.

Liverpool thumped Brentford with their two top scorers playing in an international tournament (while Arsenal were given a pass for basically the same reason).
Easy now, Liverpool got a Carabao Cup match (lol) rescheduled due to “false positives.” At least it was Covid related.
But Arsenal getting away with this really is something. They had one covid case (ONE!), 3 injuries (maybe), 4 players at AFCON, 1 red card (Xhaka, lol) and then sent 2 players out on loan this week. This is embarrassing roster management that somehow got them to avoid a big game. In the battle for 4th, Spurs now have 4 games to make up.
*Spurs will bottle this anyway because they refuse to make improvements to the roster.
Part of the problem is that FIFA won’t include the AFCON tournament in the international calendar. They won’t include it because, racism.* Unlike all the other international dates, this means major clubs are held to their domestic schedule.
* I don’t really know why they don’t include it but “everyone” says racism.
I hope Dems stick with this messaging.
“One, a Critical Race Theory is nothing more than a dog whistle,” Northam asserted. “We don’t teach Critical Race Theory — it’s not a part of our curriculum in K-12 schools.”
“What it also says, and perhaps more importantly, is that anger and fear are very strong emotions, and I think their campaign was a lot based on that — was out there provoking fear and anger in people, and they responded to it. And the rest is history,” he added. “But that’s not a good direction for Virginia to go in. It’s not a good direction for this country to go in. And I think we have to start with the facts. And we may be able to disagree, but let’s at least deal with facts and then go from there, but Critical Race Theory is a dog whistle, and it’s not being taught in our schools.”

It’s technically correct. CRT itself isn’t being taught. It’s being used to influence how and what is being taught in school.

Dr. will heal the nation.
First Lady Jill Biden has given an interview to mark the end of her first year in the White house, detailing the tough tasks demanded by her self-defined role of “healing” the nation while at the same time giving hugs, love and understanding to those she can reach out to.
The community college teacher told the Associated Press she found herself taking on a role of universal caring that “I didn’t kind of expect, which was like a healing role, because we’ve faced so much as a nation.” …
“I think that’s an important part of what I do. I mean, just helping people through the tough times.”
For her, the White House “is a magical place.” When she wakes up, she thinks, “Wow, look where I am.” But she also feels there’s a lot of work to do in the country and, because of that, she can’t “get my coffee and sit in bed and watch the news.”
“I’ve always said that if I were ever given this platform I would never waste it. Not one day,” the first lady told AP. “That’s why when I wake every day I think, ’What can I do today? … What am I doing? Where am I going? What’s the strategy? What’s the plan?’”
Where as Joe wakes up and asks “Where am I? Who are you? What’s that smell?”.

I was lucky enough to attend an awards ceremony hosted at the Library of Congress, an architectural and artistic marvel, back in 2010.
Prior to the ceremony, I walked out on a portico and looked over Washington DC. It was magnificent, as was the Library. In that moment, I felt a little shiver, and realized how damned easy it would be for an honest, good-hearted representative to get swept away by the glitz and self importance.
My Precious.
I was fortunate enough to do some exhibit installations in the Thomas Jefferson Building of the LoC, some of them after hours. ‘Architectural and artistic marvel,’ is, if anything, not a strong enough statement.
And yeah, the glitz is a real thing.

Because educating black kids is racist?
I don;t think educating is what LA schools do

All this talk about Trump ’24, makes me think. I think it’s a dumb idea. But- he’s a known quantity. There are (lots of) people who despise and fear him, and there are people who love him and will vote for him. How many people are there in the middle who will look back at Trump’s America and say, “fuck it- maybe he’s an asshole, but I was better off”?
DeSantis seems to be the current front runner. I know pretty much nothing about him, other than what the character assassins in the media want me to know. Despite their best intentions, much of what they say about him falls into the plus column, for me.
Another three years of unceasing slander and smears, and he’ll be worse than Romney, and we all know what a heartless libertarian monster he was.
I’m hoping Melania wins this round by getting him to shut the fuck up.
*dons conspiracy tinfoil*
Many in the media believe that this time around, with the correct ‘fortification,’ Trump will be demolished in a presidential election.
Second: if Trump runs again, the media can conclusively demonstrate that all conservatives and libertarians are racists and the Republican party can be banished to the wilderness forever. Kind of like the Whigs in the 1850s.
Im still waiting for the part that you need the tinfoil for.

Remember too that DeSantis is the front runner according to MSM who would rather face him than Trump.
The MSM misses Trump getting people glued to the drama. Lefties dont really want Trump to win and go on the offensive against them…again.

The chairman of Credit Suisse has resigned following an investigation commissioned by the Swiss bank’s board that reportedly looked at claims that he broke Covid-19 rules.
António Horta-Osório said in a statement issued by Credit Suisse on Monday that “a number of my personal actions have led to difficulties for the bank and compromised my ability to represent the bank internally and externally.”
“I therefore believe that my resignation is in the interest of the bank and its stakeholders at this crucial time,” he added.
The statement did not reveal the nature of the investigation into Horta-Osório, who only joined the bank last April following a decade at the helm of British bank Lloyds (LLDTF).
But the Wall Street Journal said the inquiry focused on conduct including travel that breached Covid rules and his personal use of corporate aircraft.
Reuters reported in December that Horta-Osório had “attended the Wimbledon tennis finals in July during a visit to Britain when the country’s Covid-19 rules required him to be in quarantine,” citing two unidentified sources.
A spokesperson for Credit Suisse (CS) declined to comment when asked about the nature of the investigation.

Hobgoblins everywhere we look
Despite their agreement that something should be done to address Big Tech’s dominance -— and to crack down on Meta in particular — Democrats and Republicans are divided on what the core problem really is. Republicans accuse Facebook of anti-conservative bias, despite a lack of evidence, while Democrats are concerned that the company doesn’t do enough to protect against hate speech, misinformation and other problematic content.
The stakes for action, or inaction, are only growing. The “Facebook Papers” revealed a wide range of potential real-world harms and consequences from Meta’s platforms. Yet, lawmakers are largely still playing catch up in understanding and regulating the company’s older platforms, even as Meta pushes to transition into a “metaverse company” and perhaps shape a whole new generation of user experiences.
“Congress must seize this historic moment — a pivotal turning point for reining in Big Tech,” Sen. Richard Blumenthal, the Connecticut Democrat who chairs the Senate Commerce Subcommittee on Consumer Protection, told CNN Business. “Having seen Big Tech’s harms and abuses, in our hearings and their own lives, Americans are ready for action — and results.”
Why doesn’t facebook promote our preferred narrative and political goals and muzzle our opponents? It’s not fair.
“Republicans accuse Facebook of anti-conservative bias, despite a lack of evidence”
Lack of evidence?
And note they don’t mention a lack of evidence for the Team Blue claims.
despite a lack of evidence
Despite all the evidence.
Democrats are concerned that the company doesn’t do enough to protect against hate speech, misinformation and other problematic content.
“FB won’t censor my opposition hard enough.”
Cowboys deserved to lose. If their OL had practiced proper social distancing, the ref would have had time to spot the ball before time ran out. Failing to observe protocols has consequences.
That’s a fresh take!!
Clearly their 14 penalties, including quite a few pre-snap penalties, had nuttin to do with the loss.
Ghosty can take a hike with his crazy talk.

LA is doing great.
“A mentally disturbed transgender woman who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a 10-year-old girl could be allowed to serve her sentence under house arrest, after the Los Angeles County district attorney refused to prosecute the 26-year-old as an adult for the crime committed shortly before their 18th birthday.
Hannah Tubbs’s case has sparked anger and confusion in Los Angeles, and raised uncomfortable questions for the famously liberal DA, George Gascon, about how he deals with transgender criminals and young offenders.
Tubbs was a boy named James when, on New Year’s Eve in 2014, he spotted a 10-year-old girl at a Denny’s in Palmdale, California.
He followed the girl into the bathroom, held her by the throat and forced his hand down the girl’s pants. He only stopped when someone came into the restroom, and then ran away before he could be stopped. He was two weeks off his 18th birthday at the time – with Gascon refusing to sentence Tubbs as an adult because the defendant was 17 when the attack took place.”

“Woman”?
“Her” sentence??
This is what cultural suicide looks like.
I just look at it as a way of helping women achieve parity in the critical statistics of who perpetrates crime.
There is a difference between having sympathy for people dealt a rough hand in life and being a fuckin evil idiot that thinks because some people have been dealt a bad hand we should allow them to be a danger to themselves and others.
Nothing about why it took 8 years to bring the case forward?
DAs issue sentences now? Besides that, pretty sure there’s still a presumption that those under 18 are still juveniles because, well they are. And it takes at least a fig leave motion to turn them over to an adult court, which has nothing to do with their age when the case hits the bench.
Can we still say it is Regan’s fault for closing mental institutions?
I mean what other choice than involuntary committed is for these people?
dies at hospital where she worked for 38 years after being beaten to death
Was her name Lazarus?
Cowboys deserved to lose.
Another thing pissing me off about that game. Romo and the other idiot acting like the Cowboys had the game in the bag when they were down by two touchdowns.
Well, I finally dragged myself out of the house and did those things I needed to.
Somehow my parking spot didn’t get stolen while I was out. It is so covetted that at times an absense of just a few minutes means someone’s in my spot by the time I get back.
Those anti-vehicle mines are working then huh?
They’re still on backorder, I’m afraid.
All we really know is that someone did something.
Biden: “I don’t think there is sufficient information to know why he targeted that synagogue why he insisted on the release of someone who’s been in prison for over 10 years… why he was using anti-Semitic & anti-Israeli comments.”
Are you fucking kidding me?
No he is not. He really wants you to believe that this was not something that would hurt their narrative..
Politicians just cannot open their mouths or have diarrhea of the thumbs in today’s world.
Oh, piss off, Biden.
The UK arrested two of his teenaged sons hours later on terrorism conspiracy grounds.
Contrary to Keith Ellison and Ilan Omar claims, there’s not a lotta anti Muslim terrorism in the US. If you really want to run the numbers, it’s not going to help your cause.
Also, the fact that CAIR has been demanding the release of the same terrorist nut bar woman that the hostage taker was demanding is a bit of a tell.
And if there is anything left when you die, they will take some of that too.
Something something declare the pennies on your eyes.

Their focus group polling must have come back looking so bad that they decided to quit and admit the truth even a blind fucking hobo could see?
Apparently the news hasn’t reached Twitter, they are still censoring the livestream.
Gun control in America, of course.
Muh fascisms!
Exclusive: Governor Youngkin on Arlington school system saying it will require masks, despite Youngkin’s order stating that schools can’t do that. He threatened to use state resources to force schools to comply – but we still don’t know what that means exactly.
“Elections have consequences and, at the end of the day, I won.” – some asshole
Leave it to the counties. Let NoVA live the misery they so desire.
I can’t endorse that, since these are minors being forced to go to a government school, by law.
I think the Democrats should run bipartisan bisexual Kyrsten Sinema:
1. First Woman President
2. Would
3. No one likes Hillary or Kamala
4. She actually persisted
5. LGBT
6. The media won’t call her racist because Democrat
7. Swing states decide elections
The media won’t call her racist because Democrat
They will in the primary, but memory hole it if she wins.
Yeah, they called Bernie a Nazi (or called Bernie Bros Nazis, I can’t remember which) when he had the audacity to start taking votes from Hillary.
To be fair, Bernie described himself as a national socialist.
7. Swing states decide elections
Doesn’t that depend on which way they swing?

Good morning, Sloop!
Good to see that stupidity never takes a holiday.
I have no interest in a rematch between those two idiots. I don’t even think the potential laughs would be worth it.
This is why I prefer the butter clinic.
Daniel Pisano is dying of COVID-19. He’s been on a ventilator in Florida for 28 days now at the Mayo Clinic. His doctors give him a less than 5% chance of survival.
His wife and son want him treated with the COVID plan recommended by Front Line COVID-19 Critical Care Alliance (FLCCC). It involves using ivermectin. They want Dr. Eduardo Balbona to treat their family member. The Mayo Clinic refused. The family went to court, hoping the court would force the clinic to allow an outside doctor to treat Pisano. Judge Marianne Aho decided against it.
They appealed that decision and lost that court battle, too. They don’t get to decide what course to take for the 70-year-old Pisano.
The Mayo Clinic asserted that the FLCCC COVID battle plan doesn’t fall in line with their COVID protocol, which at this point appears to be to leave Pisano on a ventilator and hope for the best. This, despite hundreds of stories of people using ivermectin to survive COVID.
The court and hospital are asshoe.
It is pretty well established that religious kooks can’t keep their family from getting “proper” treatment.
Dems want to control your body, police your speech, send you to camp and take your children. But their opposition are the fascists.
If you are unvaccinated, 55% of Democrats want to fine you, 59% want you confined to your home, 48% want you fined or imprisoned for questioning vaccine efficacy, 45% want you forced into “designated facilities,” 46% want you digitally tracked, and 29% want to take your children.
Does whoever operates the Biden-bot sit around wondering what next to wreck the country?
The cross border vaccine mandate for truckers in/out of Canada is now in effect. The U.S. vaccine mandate takes effect on January 22nd.

I sometimes wonder what would have happened if King hadn’t been killed. Still a principled Christian working for real equality and freedom? Or a grifter like Jackson and Sharpton?
One of those un-knowables….possibly if he had continued working consistently for a few more years certain things would not have become inevitabilities or other “permanent” changes would have taken place.
Now he’s just trolling.
Holy crap.
Sigh. I guess the answer to “What do we have to stock up on now?” is “Everything.”
