Good news, everyone! The weather is cold and awful, we won’t see the sun again for months, and soon the deep freezes will punish your lungs for every breath you take and remind you unceasingly of the chill of the grave which beckons you with outstretched arms. So what fresh horrors has this obese world of ours produced for us today?
Viking blood bread! You will make this, you will eat this. You will grow strong, you will cease to be weak.

The chain has announced the release of Arby’s Smoked Bourbon. The chain collaborated with Brain Brew, a distillery in Ohio, to craft a bourbon that is given the same treatment as Arby’s Smoked Brisket sandwich and Country-Style Rib sandwich from Sadler’s Smokehouse in Texas.
Troth Stitial finally bites God-Emperor Trump in his magnificent fleshy ass
But, here is why Trump may have just blown his best chance at getting out of this suit. On Truth Social (Trump’s social media site that often contains everything but the truth) he recently denied that he’d raped Carroll and reiterated the statements that are at the heart of this case. But here’s the problem for him: He is no longer the president. So he no longer has the protection of the Westfall Act.
“Can you imagine a country like ours, which already has a strong Russian ‘fifth column,’ accepting another 40,000 or 50,000 Russian men?” he asks. “Men who wouldn’t support democratic regimes, who wouldn’t be grateful to the Czech Republic as a democratic country, who would stay within their nationalist positions? This would be a risk to our internal security.”
Disgraced socialite Ghislaine Maxwell, who is spending decades in prison on sex trafficking charges, alleged that a fellow inmate plotted to kill her in her sleep.
“There was a woman who made a threat to act in a plan to murder me as I was sleeping. That is real. That happened,” Maxwell told filmmaker Daphne Barak, according to The Sun tabloid, in reference to her earlier jail term at the Metropolitan Detention Center after her July 2020 arrest. She did not provide details about the incident.

A pro-life activist from Pittsburgh could face up to 11 years in prison after a federal grand jury in Washington, D.C., indicted him for blocking access to a D.C. abortion clinic.
Herb Geraghty, 25, is charged with conspiracy against rights and Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances Act offenses after he participated in an October 2020 “pro-life block and lock rescue” of the Washington Surgi-Clinic.
Geraghty is the 10th blockade participant to face federal charges related to the protest, which was livestreamed on Facebook.

“The weather is cold and awful”
Actually, it’s quite nice.
Freeze warnings in place here in the great land of CLE. Dark, cloudy, rainy, and windy. Thankfully, I’ve got a pork based beer dinner to go to tonight.
Pork-based beer?
Swine brew.
Nice.
Four course dinner, with each food element having pig involved, and a beer paired with each course. There may be a bacon infused beer in store, but I’m not aware of any that the brewery has on tap now.
It’s already gone. I clicked the link because, of course I would.
Links were made to be clicked.
Yeah, 83F isn’t cold this side of Hades typically.
I look forward to when the weather is cold, at least it is different.
74 and sunny.
I never drink whiskey.
Of course not — potato vodka for the Count. The tater equivalent of “I do not drink…. wine.”
You drink a whiskey drink, you drink a vodka drink,….
“Carroll accused Trump in 2019 of raping her in the dressing room of New York’s Bergdorf Goodman department store in the mid-1990s. Trump then accused Carroll of “totally lying” while trying to sell a book, adding: “She’s not my type.” Trump’s denial prompted Carroll to launch her lawsuit accusing Trump of defaming her.”
Is it defaming her if he didn’t rape her? Shouldn’t he counter sue?
Everything is stupid. Adjust your plans accordingly, I have.
Apparently, everything is also treason.

Everything is treason!

Crazy without the hawt?
Not a fan of Arby’s, but “smoked” and “bourbon” is more than sufficient for me to try a glass.
Going to the website for the company making the bourbon for Arby’s, I found this neat little thing.
I don’t think I can convince the girlfriend I need that in the basement bar.
The link in the article gave me a misdirect. This took me to it. All sold out.
https://www.arbyssmokedbourbon.com/
Oh… I wasn’t going to try the Arby’s bourbon, I was looking to see what other horrors they may have unleashed upon the public.
I would have bought it and tried it on the Zoom.
I wanted to give this a shot, but couldn’t find it locally.
Watershed distilling here in Ohio does a Bourbon Barrel Aged Gin that’s quite good. Works in more applications then I would have thought.
I’m a huge fan of both gin and Bourbon, so it’s intriguing. Maybe the next time I make it into Las Vegas to a liquor store with a wider selection…

I only meet one of those three criteria.
I think that you owe it to yourself to try…
I can see all sorts of applications!
/starts considering the minimum number of bottles I would need for a cocktail machine
My guess is it would either be mediocre, or god-awful tooth-brushing bad.
Not for nothing, but smoked bourbon sounds like something I’d enjoy.
It is quite good. Locally here I can get it in some bars.
Amazing that sex trafficking young girls to a pedo ring is frowned upon, even in prison. Whouda thunk it….
Maxwell did not attempt to kill herself.
Apparently, it is also possible to order hits on inmates if one has the right contacts and cash. Even if they won’t benefit personally, inmates have ppl on the outside they might want taken care of.
Sex trafficking without any apparent clients too..
I know it’s impolite to ask, but how many of Epstein’s girls were held against their will? He was somehow, for reasons that no can seem to explain, a billionaire who let them live it up as long as they performed sexual favors on old, but other powerful and rich men.
I’m not saying she’s a good guy, or that he was. Or that anyone who visited the island to sleep with them was. Or that it shouldn’t be illegal when we are talking about 15 year old girls. But that’s the aspect of this story that no one ever really talks about.
They’ve got him now. The walls are closing in.
Although it would actually be pretty cool if this case set the sort of precedent where you could conceivably sue for defamation as a public figure again, since it’s nigh impossible under the actual malice standard.
I love the usage of regime in this case. It sounds so “authoritative.”
Politicians in our client states don’t deviate from the script.
In my experience, much of the script was tested in those markets first.
It’s amazing how powerful and influential Russia and Putin really are.

My guess that the singer speaks Russian all the time except when he sings these songs.
It’s not Russian.
Google says Kyrgyz.
Yeah, it looks Turkic with all the vowel harmony going on there.
Google is wrong. It’s Altai. Look at the Altai alphabet. The Kyrgyz alphabet is sufficiently different.
Altai isn’t listed as an option. Google probably identified Kyrgyz since it is a related Kipchak language.
We didn’t make the list. Probably because we have wood chippers.
Blood bread is generally considered verboten for Christians – although there has been lots of contention over interpreting The Jerusalem Council in Acts 15.
I think the prohibition there is sensible since it’s part of the Noahide law, predating the Mosaic law, and therefore could conceivably be construed as applicable to non-Jews. Paul making Timothy get circumcised despite preaching that it was unnecessary and refusing to allow Titus to be circumcised was fairly retarded though (yes, I understand the justification being that Timothy’s mother was Jewish and he was accompanying Paul among Jews; it’s still retarded).
What is this Naugahyde law of which you speak?
+1 Barcalounger
What do you think God rested upon on the 7th day?
The Nauga is ugly, but his hide is beautiful.
wot? Was there a habit of routine foreskin checks he had to pass?
Is it just bread? My Orthodox Catholic grandparents used to eat blood sausage.
Interpretation varies between denominations.
I’ve eaten dinuguan.
It’s blood in general, as well as meat that’s been strangled:
However, the context was fusionism between the gentile and Jewish converts. There being virtually no Jewish Christians anymore, it would be very unlikely to become a source of tension in the modern church. That having been said, it’s still there in the Noahide laws and therefore could be construed as applicable across the board.
No Jewish Christians? Not so fast!

“Digital auction house eBay banned Jeffrey Dahmer costumes amid public uproar over glorifying the late serial killer.
The commerce site announced the scrubbing of the costumes Wednesday, after seeing increased interest in Dahmer-inspired getups since the release of Netflix’s ‘Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story’ last month.
The drama has since surged to become the streaming service’s second most popular series of all time, but has been criticized for glamourizing the notorious murderer who killed and ate 17 men in Ohio and Wisconsin between 1978 and 1991.
Concerning the rationale behind their decision, eBay brass said in a statement that the costumes – which included glasses, wigs, and shirts meant to capture the likeness of Dahmer – went against its terms of service.
The official policy staffers were referring to, listed on their site, asserts that there’s no space for ‘items closely associated with or that benefit violent felons, their acts, or crime scenes within the past 100 years.’
Selling such items, the company said, even as a costume, goes against eBay’s user agreement – despite the fact the sales cannot benefit Dahmer, who was beaten to death in prison in 1994.”
https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-11333263/Simone-Biles-SLAMS-Jeffrey-Dahmer-Halloween-costumes.html
What a lame stupid policy.
Why do you need a costume to be a serial killer? They look just like the rest of us.
Yep. That was the go to excuse when you don’t have time to dress up for Halloween.
“What are you supposed to be?”
“A serial killer.”
I suppose it is Wednesday, so quite an appropriate quote.

But she is against canola oil…

Meh, she’s right about some of it.
Cosmetics are full of nasties, especially sunscreens and lotions. And it’s probably best to get the phones, etc. out of your bedroom, but more for sleep hygiene than 5G horrors.
However, no way I’m eating the fibrous shit from bell peppers.
Sunscreen is better then second degree sunburn…
Honestly, you need to just get sun protective clothing.
You do not want sunscreen, dude.
Not really an option on a long ride. Each of my bikes now has a tube of sport strength sunscreen in the saddle bag.
OK.
Here is a decent article.
Canola oil is poison.
It has been banned from our house since we saw one of those “how it’s made” shows featuring how Canola oil is processed. There’s chemical bleaching and stuff. No thanks.
White granulated sugar, too.

Re: Arby’s smoked bourbon
There’s a small distillery in Virginia that’s been doing an apple- and cherry-smoked rye whiskey for years. I pick up a couple of bottles every time I go to Danville. But then, I’m an Islay scotch guy, so it fits my palate perfectly.
I thought I had it, but ‘not available in Mass’.
Some other ‘copper’-named booze, I guess.
Thanks for the recco. I’m out of rye and will pick up a bottle next time I visit the state monopoly booze store.
Also, my condolences that you have to visit Danville, a town noteworthy only because of its inclusion in lyrics of a song from the hippie times.
Also the hometown of Mojo Nixon.
He don’t work here.
It seems your store could use some fixin’.
She said, Well no, we only have him iced.
Damn you and your nimble fingers (or whatever.)
Also, my condolences that you have to visit Danville, a town noteworthy only because of its inclusion in lyrics of a song from the hippie times.
Well, Danville does also have a high murder rate going for it. I thought it was highest in the state, but looks tied with Richmond.
Danville? Do you mean Williamsburg?
When they move the circuit to Williamsburg, then I’ll go there. Until then, though…
Islay
exactly
The thing about whiskey is culture. I could mix up a batch of additives that would turn an ordinary barrel of 40% ethanol into “Scotch” by just adding a few drops, but what would be the point of that? I could “age” whiskey by ramping up the surface-area-to-unit-mass ratio of the the wood and char until it would taste 14 years old in a few weeks, but what fun is that? The point of Scotch is to pay $80 for a fifth of a gallon that has been produced by ridiculous process and revel in the tradition, effort, and craft.
NewWife drinks vodka. I don’t get it: might as well be dosing USP grade reagents.
You should’ve heard Swiss go on about the Japanese whiskey.
For relaxing time, make it Suntory time?
*squints suspiciously*
Fuji is perfect…just happens to be soulless, heartless….the Platonic ideal of whisky.
I’m incapable of distinguishing a 18 yo scotch from a 12 yo one. I think I tried it with Shieldaig.
The 18yo Scotch has gone through puberty; the 12yo hasn’t.

How U.S. Intelligence Subverted Orwell’s Masterpiece
Interesting piece. The propagandists are pretty smart.
They’ve certainly had the time, the budget, and the lack of scrutiny to develop the techniques.
They still can’t control the economy though. And they’re arrogant.
I mean, are they, really?
I don’t think the DOD’s troll farms are any more influential than Putin’s, which is to say…not very. But we probably spend much more money on it. The propagandists in this country mainly benefit from the fact a sizeable portion of the populace still goes along with the mainstream narrative, whatever it may be, out of team loyalties that have been developed since birth.
The fact is, they’ve completely lost about half the country at this point in time. I’m not naïve enough to think that that part of the country couldn’t be brought back on board and faith in the institutions largely restored with the election of one generic GOP toadstool, but the people in charge don’t seem like they are very interested in allowing even that to happen anytime soon.
They’re wholly dependent on a functioning economy and comfortable Americans.
Take that away and the carefully crafted narratives start to fall away. Just look at the Jan 6th show trials, nobody except the most demented partisans care.
Oratorical magic
President Biden on Wednesday rejected criticism that his latest release of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve was politically motivated as the White House aims to bring down gas prices with just a few weeks until the midterm elections.
“It’s not politically motivated at all,” Biden told reporters after announcing plans to release another 15 million barrels of fuel from the country’s reserves.
“It’s motivated to make sure I continue to push on what I’ve been pushing on, and that’s making sure there’s enough oil that’s being pumped by the companies so that we have the ability to be able to produce enough gas that we need here at home, and at the same time keep moving in a direction of providing for alternative energy,” he continued.
Oh.
Keep pushin’, Slow Joe.
The president also outlined plans to refill the reserve by buying more oil once prices fall to $70 a barrel. And he reiterated the need for oil companies to pass savings onto consumers at a time when major refiners and producers are seeing massive profits.
When do we think that will happen?
Depends on how cold New England and Europe get this winter and if the wood chippers are broken out to help, I would expect.
Local news has already reported about a regional propane company going out of business.
He’s going to put us in a situation where we have to refill the reserve at extremely high cost. Trump wanted to buy low and sell high, so of course the Dems do the opposite.
I’m going out on a limb and say we have zero chance of seeing 70 dollar oil as long as Joe is in the White house.
Yup.
Remember that the Short-fingered Vulgarian wanted to restock at $20, but congress said nah.
That’s because those oil companies were making so much profit selling at $20.
Corporate handout!
“You should be using these record-breaking profits to increase production and refining. Invest in America for the American people. Bring down the price you charge at the pump to reflect what you pay for the product,” Biden said.
Gaslighting on stilts.
Joe, you keep telling them that you are going to end their business. Why would they invest?
Hush, you!
Disney To Charge Unvaccinated Customers Extra At Tokyo Theme Park
Dear Disney,
You don’t have to do anything more to keep me away.
I have very pleasant memories of Disney parks as a kid and young adolesecent, but even when I stopped back in on a birthday junket to SoCal when I was 19 the place just wasn’t what it used to be. Even if I had kids, I’d never go back.
I dodged the bullet. My wife always wanted to take the kids, but we took them to mountains, deserts and oceans instead.
I went this past year. First to Disney, then Universal. Night and day difference. I don’t think I would go back to Disney.
Our first SoCal vacation I was 4 years old and didn’t quite grasp that the 10 foot tall King Kong head, 30 foot rubber shark, and simulated earth quake on the Universal Stuidios tram ride weren’t actually real. I owe every patron on 3 or 4 of the tram cars a drink some day.
I’ve been going since I was a kid, and my wife and our kids have gone a lot. We had some great times. But I agree, it’s just too expensive and the quality has been going down for decades now. I’ve lost interest.
I went as a kid, and loved it (surprise.) I went back, like you, at 19 (college girlfriends parents paid) and it just seemed… threadbare.
I grew up in Orange County. Disneyland trips were frequent but it has become too expensive. My last annual pass from 1996 was only $99. That doesn’t get you a single day now.
We went for the first time back in 1992. It was amazing—we went to the MK, EC, and “Disney MGM studios”.
At the latter park, my brother and I were in the “Hollywood and Vine” area, in a group of guests, watching Disney performers play a card game. Three of the players were flagrantly cheating the fourth guy. A guy dressed like a burglar raced by, followed by a Keystone Cop. My brother hollered at the cop.
“What?!” shouts the cop.
“I think they’re cheating that guy,” my brother says.
The cop saunters over to the table. “What’s going on here?” he asks. The cheaters act embarrassed and guilty. “Are you cheating this guy without giving me my cut, again?”
“Oh, right!” And, they hand him some of the money, and he walked off.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I went again in 2004. It had been turned into a Disney Store, with rides.
It’s Japan. Fuck em. I don’t care.
It’s Disney so I don’t care. Never gave a crap about their stuff at any age.
War.
What is it good for?
I’m guessing it will eventually be annual boosters just like the flu.
No surprises there.
Bring it on, bitches. I will die on this hill.
Tomorrow’s the big vote. This was the warmup.
The next one will add it to the childhood vaccine schedule, making it mandatory in a number of states.
A part of me hopes they do it because it will break the system.
I think so. Compliance numbers so far for the little ones is almost non-existent. They went too far with this – particularly when they admitted that no real testing has been done.
Oh man. This is not gonna turn out well.
A part of me hopes they do it because it will break the system.
I’m not as optimistic. They’ll do it and the system won’t break. We’re firmly sliding down the path into a dystopia.
I think some people will refuse the vaccinations and then then be unable to go to public school and this will cause some amusing chaos and hysteria.
Sure most will comply… but not all.
Most won’t comply at this point. Vaccine uptake is falling daily and the type of resistance they face now is not the mild kind.
People are pissed.
I think most won’t *want* to, but many will because it’s just the easiest path to maintain their lifestyles.
But — I hope — enough will refuse that it buttresses the exodus from public schools and school choice even more (which is already winning).
Oh, there will be plenty who do.
I encountered a quad-vaxxed true believer in the wild today who proclaimed that he got over a horrible case of COVID a couple of weeks ago, but he was so glad he was protected. He just felt so lethargic now.
It was all I could do to not tell him to update his will.
I think covid shots for their 6 year olds is a real deal breaker for a lot of parents, even ones in the big blue cities. They couldn’t even get much buy in for the shots for kids when people cared about the pandemic. Selling it now?
This is great for school choice advocates.
And the parents will be jailed. Possibly CPS involved. Most everyone else will quickly fall into line. I think there will be a some cases of non-compliance, but nowhere close to breaking the system. And it should be broken over this. But serious resistance to the point of bringing this shit down sailed when Americans accepted Covid mask mandates, lockdowns, etc. I’ll change my mind once serious food and energy shortages are on the table.
Forcing this on my children is a red line for me. But I’ll choose to withdraw my family from the system rather than stay to fight it. I already chose withdrawal 6 or so years ago with forced immunizations as one of the key reasons. I suspect most who are willing to violently resist over this will make the similar decision to withdraw from the system instead. A few will choose to fight and take an honor guard down with them. The vast majority of Americans will ultimately just line their children up like cattle.
When I say break the system, I mean lay the foundation for its demise. It won’t happen immediately, there are too many sheep.
But the sheep are being killed off and the surviving remnant will not be as compliant.
Gotcha. I agree on that.
It will be interesting to see if certain states do anything in response. Something like sanctuary states for immunizations.
The medial system won’t break. The education system won’t break.
But voluntary participation in their systems of control will plummet and that will ultimately be their undoing.
Ginning up fear.
Meh, that ain’t nuthin. Wait until the Ebola hits. What even happened to Monkey Pox?
In too local news, NoDak and SoDak received at least 7 hoax “active shooter” phone calls within a few hours last Thursday. The early reports at all schools were that officers were in the buildings within minutes. The one closest to me reports 30 cops in the building within 4 minutes of receiving the call.
How long did it take for all of them to use the hand sanitizer in the hall? That is the metric that really counts.
The passive shooter situation is even more terrifying.
You’d be tempted to think everything’s ok because you haven’t heard a shot in awhile, but turns out he was just chillaxing for a bit.
Whelp, Mrs. Holiness is mad at me and just called me “mean”.
My sin? I ran a politician off my property. I was just getting home from a run and the local GOP guy running for state rep had just finished talking to my wife. They got along pretty well, so when he saw me coming up, he thought I would also be happy to talk to him.
I simply told him to “get the fuck off my property and never come back”. My wife thought that was hostile and mean. I don’t know why. Maybe she didn’t understand that me standing there and glaring at him until he skedaddled was because I cared about him and wanted to be sure he made it out of the driveway safely.
Jeez, couldn’t you have just said Go Fuck Yourself, kicked him in the nuts and walked away?
It works….
Yeah, but does he get your vote?
Don’t be silly, Jimbo isn’t allowed to vote.
That does seem kinda mean.
He thought you were his ex wife, maybe?
It’s just for moments such as this that you should always carry with you a couple of copies of The Watchtower.
Right after we do that, we can make sure every house gets a dragon and some magic beans.
No, those things are literally impossible.
Warty thinks chicks can be fathers. How woke!!
I just realized that the National League is using the DH. The world really is going to hell.
why worry ’bout blood foods when there are pressing signs of the apocalypse
When they switch to metal bats, THAT will be the true harbinger of the End Times.
Metal bats? I can’t even.
like I was saying about Scotch: it’s the tradition and natural tensions that make it any fun at all
lingerie is more arousing than nudity
craft is more fun the raw power
natural risks brew the most attractive tensions
there was a time in football when there was very little scoring, but that was too much punting; the proper game should end 17-20…that’s balance
a baseball game should be 4-1, the roster should be 25, and the DH shouldn’t be allowed to save a manager from needing to plan his substitutions carefully
there’s just nothing more clear cut than boxing or horse racing: form and speed and power in balance, pace and risk balanced…or not!
all people want to see anymore are home runs and big NASCAR wrecks; thinking and craft are no longer in demand
Yup. That’s when I gave up on MLB.
Don’t care about hockey, don’t care about basketball. If I’ve bored enough I will put on a football game with the sound muted.
Never was a big sports fan but done with them now.
With inflation that’s what? A line or three?
