The Texas State Fair was Neither Decadent nor Depraved

by | Oct 24, 2022 | Open Post, Outdoors | 246 comments

I took the family to the State Fair with a large group of other families, and a good time was had by all.  It hit a high of around 84 degrees Fahrenheit the whole time, which was fantastic.  Thought I’d mention some highlights:

I hadn’t seen Big Tex since he was redone post his fiery death.   He looks good!  When he talks he now has a rubber face, which is a tad eerie.  He used to have a marionette jaw.  I don’t think any of the links mention that Big Tex was originally a giant display Santa for a Christmas amusement park.  The original far outlived expectations, I’d say.

My photos of Big Tex sucked, so I stole this one. Courtesy Dallas Morning News.  I wonder if he is still pointing to the Masonic greeting hidden at the front gate?

The kids all wanted to go the the petting zoo.  Turned out it was a petting and eating zoo, that talked about the animals we have for breakfast lunch and dinner.  Yum for me, triggering for some!  Cows hanging out next to a fake butcher display with cuts of meat shown was great.  Being the crap photographer I am, I just took a picture of the main entrance.

PET THEM NOW BEFORE THE CLEANSING BEGINS

I was stuck as the center point for all kids to meet during a few hours of midway fun.  As I looked around, i noticed that Alice Cooper’s face was staring at me from the Love Bug ride.  Secrets like that are always fun to find.  I wanted to post a whole section on the Masonic imagery in Fair Park. but I ran short of time to walk around and snap pictures of what remains.  Exposition Park, outside the state fair (Fair Park), looks totally renovated and no doubt all traces of that were removed.  At the front gate are a number of the traditional symbols, and those are also hidden in the masonry of the other buildings. I had a friend who used to do a tour of such things.  If he did a video, he never posted it on YouTube.

Alice Cooper on the left, Christina Aguilera on the right. Somebody has a sense of humor.

The bird show was great.  Falcons, vultures, tropical birds and various trained crows.  Here a falcon lands in the audience.  I like birds of prey.  For a while I had a peregrine falcon that visited my backyard, until it had wiped all mice and rats from the property.

BIRDS

Final visit was to the Magnolia Beer Gardens.  I got to sit in the shade under yellow Shiner Bock umbrellas.  I had several Shiner Octoberfest beers.  I was amazed how few people were there.  Everywhere else was standing room only.

This is the adult Midway.

A good day, overall!  People were even nice on the train up and back from Fair Park. Shocking, in this day and age, where the media would have you believe the world is full of cartoon villains.  In real life, we all look after each other’s kids, says “pardon me” when bumping into other people,  and give up seats for women on the train.

    🙂

Visiting Shiner, TX is on my bucket list. Spoetzl is one of my favorite breweries.

      • R.J.

See video below. Go during not-summer.

  2. Aloysious

    Thanks, RJ. Cool stuff.

Am a little disappointed you did not see a cryptid. Would have been neat to see a Chupacabra-thingy chase a politician.

    • R.J.

      This….
      Can be arranged later.

  3. Aloysious

    I have a question.

How do you know you are giving your seat up to a real womenfolks?

You are a Tulpa, not a biologist.

    • DEG

      Good point.

    • R.J.

      Touché

      • MikeS

        A French Tulpa! Mein Gott.

      • Fourscore

        R.J. is a little touchy

      • Lackadaisical

That’s how he knows they’re the real deal.

      • R.J.

I know the French are authentic when they pronounce Monkey as Minkey. It’s a test.

I used to love going to the New Mexico State Fair, walking among the exhibits drinking a beer but the neo-prohibitionists put an end to that. And that put an end to my visiting the State Fair.

    • R.J.

Strange that would not be a problem in Texas, yet an issue in New Mexico.

      • The Bearded Hobbit

It was a reaction to the huge DWI cases in the state. It also resulted in the abolition of drive-up windows at liquor stores.

Surprisingly (or not) neither action resulted in the reduction in DWI.

And, no, we didn’t get our drive-up windows back after the results were shown to be 0.0 difference. The ratchet only works one way.

      • Plinker762

There is drive through beer sales in Sandpoint ID .

      • The Bearded Hobbit

        Colorado, too.

      • Ownbestenemy

        Cali still has em…

      • MikeS

They aren’t common, but I’ve seen a few in NoDak.

    • straffinrun

One point for the prohibitionists: Went to the Northern State Fair in Wisconsin when I was in high school. We chugged a bunch of beer and went walking around the midway. One girl asked my buddy to ride the zipper with her. She puked her guts out on the first trip around and my buddy got to spend the next 3 minutes in a vomit blender as the thing flipped around mercilessly.

      • rhywun

Vomit Blender was my first high school band.

      • Chafed

        🤘

      • slumbrew

But if the prohibitionists had their way, you never would have witnessed that hilarity.

OT: Project Veritas Action’s latest is a bit of a nothingburger

Becky Hobbs, twin sister of Arizona Democrat candidate for Governor: “So, all across the country, Democrat candidates — not candidates themselves — but the [Democrat] Party was putting money in [Republican] primaries — into the races of the extreme Trump endorsed candidates, as opposed to the moderate Republicans that were running.”

    • R.J.

Yes. We all knew that. Shortly we will know if that strategy worked.

    • DEG

      I like it.

      • MikeS

I hit mute right away. Ms. Crain was very easy on the eyes.

      • DEG

Gruene Hall was closed when I drove through Gruene. It was lunch time. I went to Neue Braunfels. I had a good lunch at a brewpub there. I walked around a bit, found a coffee shop, and squatted there for a while.

I had more smiles from pretty Latinas than I’ve had smiles from women of any type in New England.

And yes, I say Gruene auf Deutsch and not “Green”.

      • R.J.

        Zer Gut!

The dance hall is not air conditioned, as it always was. So it can be a bit much in the summer. Feels very special to be in there. There are some nice bed and breakfasts around where you can rest overnight for special events.

      • rhywun

What’s up with all the deutsch in Texas?

      • R.J.

Tons of German – Americans in Texas. Spanish got there first, then the Germans brought the beer. French brought the whining for a few years but they left.

      • rhywun

        Gott sei Dank.

      • Zwak. who's suit is as ragged as his nerves.

Same reason why there is a lot of German style beer in northern Mexico. Lots of immigrants.

      • DEG

        Germans settled the Hill Country.

      • DrOtto

That’s where Tejano music gets it’s accordion from.

      • Swiss Servator

All I know is I was there on Business Purposes a few years back….everyone not American was German.

      • DEG

        And…. that’s a good video.

    • R.J.

I had a Hawaiian shirt, was not wearing a cowboy hat, and I bought new boots the next day. I was wearing hiking shoes. So I did not have the official outfit that day. Hence I was banned from saying “F*ck you I’m from Texas.” It’s an unstated rule.

      • MikeS

        Sad!

        Nice tour. Thanks for sharing.

      • UnCivilServant

I own two Hawaiian shirts. I wore one to the Honey Harvest. I was the only one who commented on it.

Maybe the joke was too subtle.

      • MikeS

        me

      • UnCivilServant

My shirt at the time was a sold blue save for am ebroidered “Hawai’i” above the pocket. It’s one of a pair like that. They’re my Hawaiian shirts.

      • MikeS

Dammit. I remember seeing that, now that you mention it. I recall getting ready to ask about it once, and then someone else caught my attention. I blame Putrid Meat.

      • UnCivilServant

I ordered them as a joke because one of my former supervisors kept suggestion I should come to work in a hawaiian shirt. Peopke got a laugh and I didn’t get pestered about it again.

      • MikeS

Haha. That is some good subtle humor.

      • Fourscore

Had I known that I would have worn a Hawaiian shirt, folks would have thought we were brothers.

  6. rhywun

LOL Josh Allen got a commercial! Good for him.

Can’t let Mahomes have all the endorsements fun. Or that Baker person that disappeared for some reason.

    • rhywun

Jeez I’d rather be watching the Bills or the Chiefs than these two dud teams.

      • slumbrew

        Still?

    • Mojeaux

      It’s a cute commercial.

      • rhywun

I seriously expected he would never get one. He’s just so… not that. In a good way.

  7. Tundra

Amen. Thanks, RJ! What a fun time!

    • Rat on a train

Chivalry is dead because the trains are running mostly empty.

Any TPTB out there, I won’t be monitoring the Halloween show this Thursday, like I normally do. I will be in Vegas surrounded by show girls. Apologies in advance. The Halloween show is a good one. It took a lot of time to find the type of movies I wanted. Everyone else enjoy!

    • Ownbestenemy

We will just be missing each other. We are leaving Las Vegas *drink* on Thursday

    • Swiss Servator

      It’s scheduled…cheers!

  9. DrOtto

The wife needs knee surgery, so we missed the fair this year. Oh well, there’s always next year. Did you get the cheese curds at Vandelay Industries food booth? They’re genuinely good.

    • MikeS

And you want to be my latex salesman…

    • R.J.

I was herding TEN kids! So my enjoyment was fairly curtailed food wise. Towards the end I had another parent watch the group and let me run off to see the $3,000 tail lights on the new toy Hummer and then get some delicious beers.

  10. straffinrun

That looks awesome fun time, RJ. That Big Tex dude was in Pee Wee’s Big Adventure, no? What other movies have I see that guy in?

    • R.J.

That is a good question! To which I have no quick answer.

A friend went to the Texas fair a couple of weeks ago, and I went looking for the food list to give her recommendations. The one that caught my eye was:

    TEXAPOLITAN PIZZA

Central Texas barbecue meets Naples, Italy in this unexpected fusion. Stephan Nedwetzky of Pit Commander Barbecue decided to use leftover barbecue as toppings on his favorite type of pizza, Neapolitan, and the Texapolitan Pizza was born. Each pizza is made from 00 flour imported from Italy and only needs 90 seconds in the 900-1,000-degree stone oven to reach thin, crispy perfection. Texapolitan Pizza will offer four different personal-sized pizza pies during the Fair: margherita, pepperoni, cheese, and smoked pork belly burnt ends. Their featured smoked pork belly burnt ends pizza consists of red sauce, mozzarella, smoked pork belly burnt ends, fresh jalapeños, cotija cheese, and Pit Commander Barbecue Sweet Heat BBQ sauce.

I’m trying to get my local pizza joint to give it an experimental run.

    • R.J.

      Oh yes….

    • MikeS

BBQ sauce, much like pineapple, has no place on pizza.

However…thinking about BBQ sauce and pineapple together on something resembling a pizza did get my salivary glands going.

      • R.J.

It’s good. Feel free to call it something other than pizza. “BBQ flatbread,” maybe.

      • MikeS

        Lavosh.

    • one true athena

Since this is a state fair, I imagine the “personal-sized” pizzas to be three feet across right?

  12. kinnath

10 inch of rain, and the temp from 70 degrees to 50 degrees in one hour.

    • kinnath

0.11 inches of rain in Sept. 1.15 inches in October. First real rain fall in 7 weeks. Drought is not exactly over yet.

  13. Festus

And three of them are actually in a sundress!

    • MikeS

      Self-fulfilling prophecy?

      • Festus

Probably. I’m rarely wrong about other people’s behavior. I wish that it wasn’t so.

      • MikeS

Sorry. Was just trying to snarkily encourage a positive attitude. Yes, other’s behaviors are largely out of our control. I’m hopeful you’re reading this situation wrong. 🤞🏻

    • Gender Traitor

To you personally or to the world at large? (I know, I know! “Why not both?”)

      • Festus

They’ll get me both coming and going if I don’t manage to hang myself on my own bootstraps.

      • Festus

The weather has finally turned. Suddenly living outdoors will become less attractive. I don’t know what to do. I’ve already banished him from our home. He has shelter if he follows certain rules. He blew his intake interview last week, probably on purpose. He loathes me and is probably waiting around for me to die.

      • Swiss Servator

        Hang on Festus…Hang on!

      • Festus

Ouch! I knew there was reason that I liked you, Gaijan!

      • straffinrun

There’s an inside joke few will get.

  14. straffinrun

Saw a clip of a white chick getting KO’d by a bunch of black guys as she’s trying to protect her black boyfriend from getting whooped. Dozens of replies saying just “toll paid”. I assume that’s some slang for “that’s what you get for dating a black guy”. Tried googling it, but not finding it. Anyone hear of “toll paid” before?

    • Ownbestenemy

Never but assuming your assumption is spot on. Wonder what the term for a bla k girl getting KO’d by a bunch of white men as she protected her white boyfriend would be

      • straffinrun

Something disgusting about how they all piled in gleefully to reply that way.

      • Ownbestenemy

Agreed. Knuckledraggers know no race….people are disgusting

      • Festus

I saw plenty of white boys do the same thing but never to a girl.

    • rhywun

Sorry… I’m not current on today’s hip, racist lingo.

    • slumbrew

No, but I don’t spend much time among (actual) racists, if I can help it.

      I’m sure you’re correct.

    • MikeS

Interestingly…or not…”toll paid” get’s zero results at Urban Dictionary.

      • MikeS

        Shit..yup. There it is.

    • Shpip

This goes back to the assumption that white girls who date black guys will invariably become victims of domestic violence. The adage is “Burn the coal, pay the toll.” Of course, in the example you’re referring to, the saying appears to be misused, as the young lady is not getting walloped by her beau, but by some other folks for having the temerity to interject herself into a neighborhood dispute.

      • Lackadaisical

        ‘neighborhood dispute’

I believe the preferred term is ‘community meeting’.

    • Festus

Can’t they all just kill one another and leave the rest of us alone?

      • MikeS

They would if we’d just leave them alone.

      • Festus

I’m thinking that all of those centuries of bone meal is probably why the Ukraine is the breadbasket of Europe.

      • Swiss Servator

“Hey, The Russians killed millions of us by starvation 90 years ago…why not let them rule us now, eh?”

      • Swiss Servator

Problem is, Europe got all concerned with Russia conducting a giant slave and loot raid. The Ukrainians had a vote, and said…HET.

Needless to say, US defense contractors are concerned their erections are lasting waaaaaay more than 4 hours.

      • Festus

There isn’t any side to “hope” for. Zelensky is probably even slimier than Putin. A frog and a toad.

      • Toxteth O'Grady

Hey F! Hope you are still having some respite from domestic drama.

      • Toxteth O'Grady

        Aw heck, see above, TO’G.

      • Swiss Servator

Nobody is slimer than Putin, but the Sons Of Duranty here will tell you thus.

These same people would have bitched 1939 Poland was a Pilsudiski military dictatorship, and deserved everything Hitler and Stalin inflicted on them.

      • Festus

I don’t get it Swizzy. Why for you hate the Russians so much? Honest question. We all know that they are cuntes but you seem to hold them in the lowest of esteem. Did one of them insult your Mom?

      • Swiss Servator

Do you not know what they did to Poland, Ukraine, the Baltic States, Finland, Georgia .. ? Why is everyone so invested in a brutal, despotic regime that is carrying on the tradition of the Holdomor, Katyn Forrest, Etc? Russia is an imperial brute that wants to subjugate all their neighbors to Russkiy Mir…if Georgians, Ukrainians, et al have to die…so what, up Russia!
Russia is a barbaric entity that kills anything that resists its imperial ways…and many here cleave to it, because…. VICTORIA NULAND, BLEARGH!!! 40 million Ukranian eggs need to get broken to make One Putin Omlette…
Come on Festus, tell me where Russia has been peaceful and subtle? Georgia? Ukraine? Chechnya? Finland? Poland? Hungary?
Why not call an asshole an asshole? Why is Putin sacred?

      • MikeS

Why not call an asshole an asshole? Why is Putin sacred?

Good grief. Not a single person here has held up Putin or Russia as sacred. With your black-and-white world view, and your raging on other people’s grudges that are centuries old, I really wonder how you ended up anywhere near libertarians.

      • MikeS

Come on Swiss, tell me where USA has been peaceful and subtle? American Indians? Vietnam? Somalia? Afghanistan? Iraq?

      • Swiss Servator

Oh come now Mike….show me one cross word about Russia…I will wait. It is all NEOCONZ, VICTORIA NULAND, IS BLEW UP NORD STREAM, UKRAINEVIS FALSE FLAGVATTACKINGBITSELF, DEFENSE CONTRACTORZ. US IS TRYING TO START WORLD WAR 3, UKRAINE IS A SHITHOLE…

Nobody here wants to drop their domestic bugaboo to say “yeah, dick move by Putin, killing civilians, blowing up power plants and such.” Look what you are arguing for…

      • Swiss Servator

Mike, show me one word where I have said that? You cannot.

The Sons of Duranty will say not one word ill of their Chosen.

      • MikeS

The Sons of Duranty will say not one word ill of their Chosen.

Here’s a thought; instead of flaming anyone who dares think different than you, how about you try engaging them in dialogue?

      • Swiss Servator

8 months of this, Mike…God knows I have tried. Russia invaded/was the aggressor. Damn few here will even admit that.
When accused of being a Uke shill, I related my time there as three layers…government, gangsters and everyone else. But, by God, get one word…one, from anyone of TEAM Z, The Sons of Duranty, over the past 8 months….nope.
How about you start….has Russia done anything wrong?

      • Ownbestenemy

        How bout….Russia bad…Ukraine bad….America bad….all the people of those nations….screwed?

      • MikeS

Russia has done everything wrong. But they aren’t the only ones doing shit wrong. Why is that so fucking hard for you to understand/admit?

      • straffinrun

The Soviet Union was evil, yet we negotiated with them because of the horror that could be started in a chain reaction. Putin is a POS for what he’s done and the Kiev regime were POS for what they did in Donbas and Odessa since 2014. I get called an idealist for being an anarchist, yet I think I’m being more realistic than the Pro Ukraine crowd that is all for pushing this to the brink. It’s a shitty choice, but negotiations with Russia is the less shitty choice. All options have massive downsides, so don’t bother explaining them cuz I get it.

      • Swiss Servator

Holy Smoke!!! Thank you…first time in 8 months!!!!

Of course Ukraine is a bad place, again, for the nth time , it was all bad government, gangsters and everyone else when I was there….hasn’t changed much.

The US has stumbled around with the Senility in Chief bellowing stupid shit the whole time…Europe, I just don’t want to even try to grok that mess. I am unsure what their end state is ( other than the US pays).

So it is not haram to hope Russia does not conquer and enslave Ukraine, again?

Still don’t want my ever increasing taxed from me dollars to pay for resistance to such imperial Russian ambition.

      • straffinrun

If you want I can dig up multiple times I’ve called Putin a POS. I’m hoping you’ll trust me, but if you want I can. There are people that sound really close to be openly rooting for Russia (one here who openly is). Not me. As much as I despise America’s foreign, and even domestic policy at this point, I’m not rooting for massive escalation in the murder of civilians that Putin has done. Of course I’d have Dubya, Obama, Trump and Joe in the dock to answer for their escalations of violence against civilians.

      • Lackadaisical

Swiss, thanks for posting from a slightly more pro Ukrainian POV.

‘Nobody here wants to drop their domestic bugaboo to say “yeah, dick move by Putin, killing civilians, blowing up power plants and such.” Look what you are arguing for…’

While there are a couple people who say things like ‘Ukraine isn’t even a nation’, and focus on a few Nazis in Ukraine who were seemingly purposefully expended… Most people here… I think… Believe this too, but feel the need to point say the Ukrainian side because the media story in the west is so one sided, and that is what is affecting us domestically and they feel like could lead to serious consequences.

I will definitely give you credit (not that you need credit from me, lol) for continuing to engage and post on the topic. It is a useful counter balance for me compared to many who focus on Ukraine’s failures (which no doubt exist to varying degrees).

I think you’re absolutely right to bring up the past. I am half Polish (and the rest Irish, Scottish and Italian) the whole history of my ancestral heritage is of resistance to foreign domination, and sometimes outright attempted extermination (either culturally or literally). To many here dismiss such history.

When this war first started I said if I was Ukrainian I would fight like hell against the Russians because who knows what the alternative is? It could be the deaths of everyone I know. This will justify any means in the minds of some of those fighting against Russia.

      • Swiss Servator

Meh…they footnote. Do the Sons Of Duranty?

      • Lackadaisical

They have been more correct than the pro Russia propaganda, I’ll give them that. I still take it with a grain of salt.

      • Festus

        Ugh. Those people again?

    • Lackadaisical

If things continue to go Ukraine’s way, this war will be the best ad for US military weaponry perhaps ever. Yes, yes, I know Ukraine has a massive manpower advantage, but still, who thought things would go this way?

I thought they had two weeks and maybe two months of they fought hard. They’re fighting to wards a victory right now …

One thing- someone said that just like Vietnam and Afghanistan, time is on Ukraine’s side. What do you all think?

Haha. OK. Time to put away the Port and go to bed.

  16. Ownbestenemy

    I was thinking…6x Grandfather….War. 3x Grandfather…War. Grandfather…War. Dad…War. Myself…War…I see a compression of the timeline…

    • nw

Seems pretty consistent… you really need to get into two or three wars to keep
      up the progression.

  17. Ownbestenemy

I’d prefer the opposite route and live for John Adam’s words.

I must study politics and war that my sons may have liberty to study mathematics and philosophy.

We seem to not get past the two prerequisites to get to the next.

    • Swiss Servator

Skip a generation (approximately) and the next gets one (or two in my case).

      • Ownbestenemy

War for me is when a rational brain meets an irrational thought. I do not like it but can understand why it is fought. I do not want it, but can understand why people seek it.

      • nw

Seems to be once a generation. I suppose that’s always been about true.
I know that I, my father, and both grandfathers were in the Army.
I think at least one of my great-grandfathers was as well all the way
back in WW1. I have no idea who any of my other ancestors were
(well, not much of one anyway), so for all I know they were as well.

There were certainly wars enough for everyone to find one if they
were either so inclined or sufficiently unlucky.

      • straffinrun

Wassup, NW? I’m guessing a night at the bar.

      • nw

Not tonight, just up late working on adding support
for recording mileage and time spend driving to my
        law office software.

      • straffinrun

        粉飾決算?

      • nw

DDG translates that as “closing accounts?”

I’ve written my own law practice management software.
I hadn’t charged mileage before, but one of the referral/legal aid
services I’m signed up with has their reimbursement forms
set to ask actual mileage and time spent driving.

The goal is to be able to have the software fill out the final
form so I don’t have to do anything other than push the
button. Obviously I need to have the system know about
miles and drive time. Prior to that I would have just put
it down as a cost with the miles in the description, but
the computer can’t (easily) pull that out into separate
parts to auto fill the form.

So here I am. OTOH, the translation may have been off,
or I may have mis-interpreted it. I hate to do anything
a third time if the computer could do it instead.

https://xkcd.com/1205/ springs to mind, and I invariably
err on the side of automating it anyway.

Absurdist reality. Minayo Watanabe song was on earlier today so went to YouTube tonight, and discovered she’s live streaming from her kitchen. Along with husband and son. Still definitely not too adult*, just right.

No kidding. I didn’t offend any of those groups unless they consider all women whores.

Well, considering how they treat the abortion debate, I don’t think there is much doubt on that fact.

“By clicking delete you acknowledge your tweet violated the twitter rules”

Um… so, never delete anything then.

“You may not promote violence against […] people on the basis of […] serious disease.”

Why the specificity. I guess it’s ok to promote violence against people on the basis of non-serious disease.

“I think we should kill anyone with catarrh” apparently doesn’t violate the twitter rules.
[It was harder than I expected to find a result for a “non-serious disease”]

You’d think “don’t advocate violence against people” would be sufficient.

      • straffinrun

        Honestly, I don’t see any rule I violated .

Good morning, Stinky, RoaT, homey, Lack, and Sean!

Day 2 of trying to kick my NSAIDs habit – none since one naproxen sodium (generic Aleve) Sunday night. Left leg is still stiff and a bit sore, but nowhere near the pain I was having before. I do believe it’s getting better! And I get to go to water aerobics tonight! 😃🏊🏼‍♀️

    • Lackadaisical

      Good morning

Excellent news GT. Hope your pain continues to abate. I need to exercise more myself…

    • robodruid

That is good news GT. Hope aerobics is “fun”.

      • Gender Traitor

Thanks, ‘bodru, and good morning to you, too! The water aerobics IS fun, but all of us in the class agree that the water in the “therapy” pool could stand to be a little warmer in order to be truly therapeutic. It’s warmer than the lap pool, but definitely not as warm as they used to keep it.

      • robodruid

“global warming” will be the excuse to not warm it up…

      Good Morning UCS,

Did you ever start looking for a federal position?
      Starting with usajobs.gov?

      • UnCivilServant

I looked, but Ifell into a bout of convincing myself I don’t qualify for any of the listings.

      • robodruid

        K:
I know nothing about your qualifications and I admit it is daunting. Maybe I should do a small post on this…
        But you can do it.

First thing to do is start to write down all the stuff you have done in your life work/non work. I suggest you should have some firends over one time and BS about all this stuff. It will help you brainstorm.
Then write it ALL down in one resume.
As you see jobs posted you can flavor your experiences to match.
It can take 6 months, shorter if you are willing to move. But it can be done.
Let me know if you want help.

      • UnCivilServant

I keep trying to compose an answer, but I can’t seem to string words together this morning.
