A big win

Jon Rahm was losing oil on the back nine but got it together and won the Genesis. But this lady had bigger news to report on. Brennan has always been an asshole. Tiger has done more for the LPGA than anybody in the history of the game. Without him, half the American players on that tour would have never picked up a club. The Daytona 500 was yesterday, but NASCAR is not much fun anymore. And across the pond, ManUre did their job to keep pace with the top of the EPL table. And Liverpool managed to get a big win as well.  And that’s its for sports.

By “some conservatives,” who do they mean? Oh. Larry Hogan. The fuckwit who locked down schools during covid almost as long as the most hardcore Dems. Welp, fuck that guy. Sununu too? Another go-along-to-get-along “conservative.” I do see FIRE’s point about their complaints, but it’s a narrowly tailored argument and the law could easily be revised to address that argument. But that’s on the legislature, not DeSantis.

Are we in Kiev?

I’d have rather he sat his ass in Rehoboth Beach. It wouldn’t be kicking the hornet’s nest. But none of these idiots can help themselves anymore. They won’t be happy until we’re in the middle of a shooting war.

This would be hilarious. I just hope one of the opponents says her name three times and makes her disappear before she turns their mouth into a zipper or something.

Get a load of this guy. Being honest and shit. Doesn’t he know he’s a politician? Oh well, he can make things right for his party by just “clarifying” by blaming Trump.

I don’t know about this one. People are going crazy, but it was a carjacking. I can understand why he shot.

Another mass shooting. Oh wait, it’s an everyday occurrence there. So it’s not gonna make the national news.

Not Texas.

“BuT TexAs CaN’t KeEp tHe PoWer On.” Nice job, electricity monopoly that the state enforces. Really good work. I doubt this will be a national story though. You know, since it happens several times a year there.

This guy was pretty funny. Rest in peace.

Doo-wop lives. I do enjoy that song. But I like rock too. Enjoy them both.

And enjoy this long weekend Monday.

I don’t know how anyone can watch golf on TV.

    • AlexinCT

Yeah, I would rather watch paint dry…

Same about tennis or cars going around in circles.

    • Fourscore

Skeet shooting is where the TV action is.

      • SDF-7

Certainly a sport I think I’d rather watch on TV than live. Especially the Dick Cheney Invitational….

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

All I know is it’s a great excuse to drink beer with your buddies while pretending to participate in a sport, playing it I mean.

    • The Other Kevin

George Carlin said watching golf on TV was like watching flies fuck. I miss him.

  2. AlexinCT

This would be hilarious. I just hope one of the opponents says her name three times and makes her disappear before she turns their mouth into a zipper or something.

    THIS!

    • SDF-7

Start a fundraiser for it. You could call it a zip drive.

““Well, I think they are,” he said. “I mean, I talked to the mayor. The mayor said definitively, emphatically, that people can drink the water. The mayor’s — I don’t know. I don’t think the mayor has small kids. He looks a little older to me. I didn’t ask him, but — about bathing his kids.”’

Clear, and straight to the point.

  4. rhywun

But that’s on the legislature, not DeSantis.

Yeah, I don’t see Ron pulling the levers himself… you know, like Biden does.

    • Muzzled Woodchipper

Remember: they have to have dual competing realities to make the magic happen.

DeSantis is a bumbling imbecile not capable of coherent thought, and is so cunning he controls the levers of power as deftly as Palpatine.

      • Not Adahn

Listen bub, THE SCIENCE just said that Biden is healthy and VIGOROUS!

      • AlexinCT

One could make the argument that since Dr. Jill is kissing other people’s husbands on the mouth, that the Bidens are swingers, and no swinger is gonna be out of shape…

      • Michael Malaise

Narrator: Alex has never seen “real” swingers.

      • AlexinCT

If they look like the people yo see on nudist beaches, well, there isn’t a group of people that needs to wear clothes more than them freaking nudists. Seeing those freaks naked should be classified as being exposed to WMD effects.

  5. AlexinCT

I don’t know about this one. People are going crazy, but it was a carjacking. I can understand why he shot.

The demand from the people getting pissed seems to be that people committing crimes can’t be interrupted or stopped unless they are honkey dudes. That won’t end well..

    • Chafed

I’ve got some questions for the parents.

  6. SDF-7

Probably wrong, but I was expecting this for the rock link. Morning, Sloopy.. morning, all!

The memes last week about “East Palestine changes name to Kyiv to get attention from Biden” seems extra true today.

    • sloopyinca

I really like that song too. As much as I think the guy is full of himself, his catalog of great music is quite extensive.

  7. Gender Traitor

The Daytona 500 was yesterday, but NASCAR is not much fun anymore.

You’re not even going to take the opportunity to mention that one of Danica Patrick’s exes won the race? I haz disappoint.

    • SDF-7

Huh… I didn’t care enough to watch yesterday — and with that tidbit…. nope, still don’t even care to find out who that is or why it is supposed to be interesting. If I never hear from or about Danica again, I will not complain either.

      • Gender Traitor

I figure putting up with her for five years was good training and gave him the stamina to survive what turned out to be a 530 mile race.

      • AlexinCT

Did Danica not age well and now no longer is pleasant on the eyes?

      • SDF-7

Do not know. Do not care.

      • Certified Public Asshat

Don Lemon would say she’s past her prime. And he would probably be right.

    • Muzzled Woodchipper

Did she ever do anything of note in NASCAR other than have the right genitalia?

      • SDF-7

She did wreck herself trying to wreck others several times… That was pretty funny when it happened.

      • Gender Traitor

She was a useful interview to fill air time during a rain delay.

      • sloopyinca

The word “useful” is doing a lot of work in this sentence.

  8. rhywun

The tampon joke is the kind of semi lame but who gives a damn really type of humor that competitive guys have pulled on each other since forever. There’s nothing wrong with it and the garment rending over it is just stupid.

  13. Grumbletarian

The palpable fear CNN has of DeSantis is delicious.

    • Muzzled Woodchipper

Yeah, all he did was usher in wokeness, ripping apart decades old wounds that had largely been dealt with by the end of the 90s. He brought us back 60 years in race relations, and the woke crowd seems to be trying to make it 160 years.

The county’s report is based off of statements as well as dashboard cameras from the car Ramos and Espinoza were using as well as Espinoza’s body camera. Ramos’ body camera was not used and the county did not explain why.

However, Hernandez’s family and attorney Lee Merritt have argued that the car was never moving fast enough to truly harm Espinoza.

They also claim that anyone could have seen that the car they’d stolen was full of Hernandez and two other children, according to the San Antonio Express News.

‘We’re talking about a 13-year-old boy who was killed by police,’ his mother, Lynda Espinoza – no apparent relation to the unidentified officer – said in a protest just after the shooting.

The boy’s family had just three weeks prior lost AJ’s 16-year-old sister Naveah Martinez, after she was shot dead just blocks away from the family’s home, according to Oxygen.

It was just going to be a love tap.

And obviously he was a sweet kid who loved his mama.

    • Count Potato

      Sounds like top notch parenting.

      • AlexinCT

Are they blaming everyone else for not letting their kid commit the car jacking unbothered?

      • Scruffyy Nerfherder

Five bucks says they didn’t have the same father.

I’m generally not pro-cop, but anybody who suggests that a vehicle is not a weapon is being disingenuous.

    • AlexinCT

I am pretty sure that if there had been no car jacking none of us would ever hear about this kid (unless there was some other crime leading to a shooting in that kid’s future).

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

        You kidding me?

You have this Hispanic cop. He’s not only succumbed to white supremacy, but there was a fucking gun involved. No man, not even a righteous Latinx, can stave off that combo when there’s an innocent brown kid nearby.

    • sloopyinca

The whole situation is sad. But these parents need to grab a mirror if they want to know what led to the series of events that caused their kid to be dead.

And while I hate trigger-happy cops, this wasn’t a traffic stop gone wrong. This was a legit carjacking and the carjacker was using the car as a weapon in an attempt to harm someone and get away. Sorry the kid was 13, but that’s old enough to know that stealing a fucking car and trying to hit someone with it is wrong.

      • Scruffyy Nerfherder

But these parents need to grab a mirror if they want to know what led to the series of events that caused their kid to be dead.

Mom just won the ghetto lottery. She’s going to play it for all its worth.

      • AlexinCT

Would anyone be surprised car jackings were part of the family business?

      • SDF-7

Certainly when I hear the sister was gunned down recently, my brain jumps to “kid had joined a gang and that was a hit gone wrong.. then he got killed carjacking for the gang”.

Maybe wrong… but certainly what leaps to mind. Damned shame — not that I have a solution other than cutting welfare and doing our damnedest to promote the family and a culture change where possible. That’s my white supremacy, I’m sure… wanting kids to have stable homes, an interest in education and business instead of crime, etc… so terrible of me.

      • rhywun

See the twit above with Lemon calling for all of that – in an earlier age.

      • sloopyinca

I think they cancelled him yesterday for his Nikki Haley stuff.

      • AlexinCT

They cancelled him cause as a gay guy he should have known better than to admit in public that he believes old hags are passe.

    • Grumbletarian

      That one sure looks underfed.

    • Scruffyy Nerfherder

Aw, I feel bad for the gator. What kind of asshole releases an alligator into a New York park?

      • Count Potato

Who decides an alligator would make a good pet in the first place? Don’t they realize they grow? Same with the idiots who got pet pythons in Florida.

      • SDF-7

They wanted a handbag so bad and knew a guy down in the fashion district who’d do the processing but didn’t account for the growth rate?

      • AlexinCT

        Wait a fucking second…

How the fuck did this gator in NYC article devolve to a “Sam Brinkman is looking to steal an alligator bag at some airport” thing?

      • Semi-Spartan Dad

Some people find a lot of enjoyment in owning exotic animals. I know several owners of anacondas, Burmese, and retics. All take good care of their large boids and get a lot of enjoyment. Doesn’t make them idiots anymore than the people who have an interest in sports, exotic cars, coin collecting, etc.

Burmese became mostly established in Florida after Hurricane Andrew swept through and destroyed wholesale breeding facilities, releasing the snakes into the wild. Yeah, occasionally some moron releases their exotic pet but that’s the rare exception. It’s the same hysteria we get whenever there’s a mass shooting and the finger points to law-abiding gun owners. You know, those same idiots who enjoy owning ARs with 30 round mags.

There’s also quite the crossover between exotic animal owners and firearm owners. The same tactics are being used against both groups to divide and abolish.

      • Count Potato

Sorry, I’m not saying there aren’t good exotic pet owners, but anyone trying to keep an alligator in NYC isn’t one of them.

“Burmese became mostly established in Florida after Hurricane Andrew swept through and destroyed wholesale breeding facilities, releasing the snakes into the wild.”

I did not know that. I kept hearing about people buying baby pythons and releasing them after they got too big.

      • Semi-Spartan Dad

That’s fair. I also remember hearing a drug dealer in NYC who had a tiger in his apartment. There are idiots among exotic animal keepers.

I kept hearing about people buying baby pythons and releasing them after they got too big.

The media is the enemy, and they are aligned against exotic animal ownership. Burmese can only survive winter in a very small section of the US and have been well established since Andrew. The assholes releasing their pythons aren’t a good look, but it’s mainly cruelty to the individual animals and won’t significantly add to the already established population.

Over the past 20 years, regulations/laws have been passed at the federal level and in most states across the country to increasingly ban exotic animal ownership and even some domestics like ferrets. Not just the dangerous ones, but the dangerous ones have been how they got their foot in the door. And then we all know the story about incremental government grabs. The Humane Society is an enormous driver behind this. Much like MADD and other left-wing groups, they are a front for tyrants hiding behind a false compassion of helping others. Most of this isn’t on anyone’s radar though unless if you keep exotics for a hobby (or profit like family owned zoos, which are also being pushed out).

      • Seguin

He may have been sold a caiman but got a gator instead. Combination of fraud and ignorant buyer.

“The Canadian high school teacher who goes to work wearing size Z prosthetic breasts incredibly claimed they’re not fake — and denied being the person photographed leaving home without them — but acknowledged she can’t prove it.

“I’m not wearing prosthetic breasts. These are real,” Kayla Lemieux told The Post during an exclusive interview Saturday.

Lemieux — who wore woman’s clothing, with a blond wig, makeup and her enormous breasts — said she’s “not a transgendered person” but was born “intersex.”

“My condition is classified as gigantomastia, which can also be referred to as macromastia or breast hypertrophy,” Lemieux said during a sit-down at a cafe in Burlington, near Toronto.”

I’m gad you decided this for us for a country that is not an ally and in which we have no interests. I can only imagine what you cuntes are hiding there.

    • Scruffyy Nerfherder

They’re attempting to hide their absolute and unconditional foreign policy failure that is costing tens of thousands of lives and has dislocated millions while simultaneously turning Russia into an enemy that the US people didn’t want or need.

US foreign policy towards Russia is an unmitigated disaster. Everyone involved should be put to the guillotine.

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

Just as there aren’t enough lamp posts for the perpetrators of Covid mania, there are not enough baskets for these Ukraine ball fondlers.

      • AlexinCT

US foreign policy towards Russia has been about the anger & angst that the Obama admin Sec of State Clinton and her “RESET” button caused around the whole Skolkovo project. See, the Obamas thought that if they set up a project to share high tech with the Russians as part of that reset, the Russians would suddenly become dependent on the US (not to mention that a whole bunch of connected people, mostly team blue, would be able to steal a massive amount of tax payer lucre in this racket). The Russians promptly focused on tech with military applications and stole everything they could to transfer back to the Russian defense industry (That Tzirkon hypersonic missile is a DARPA project). It was a horrible disaster, and massive slap in the face to uppity asshats that thought they were smarted than the unwashed Russians that made them look like total idiots, but like so many other abject failures and disasters during the Obama admin’s reign of terror, was buried deep.

Team blue however never forgave the Russians, and Putin in particular, for buttfucking them in public that bad, and they have been looking for revenge since then.

      • Scruffyy Nerfherder

They’ve got all kinds of motivations for hating Russia, most of them derived from their own incompetence. When Putin got involved in our Syrian fiasco, it really ticked DC off. Who is Russia to tell the the USA what countries we can and cannot destroy?

      • AlexinCT

The involvement in Syria is also about their plans to undermine Putin. Look up the Qatar-Turkey pipeline that was supposed to run to Europe and undermine the East German led Merkel Russo-friendly government’s efforts to more closely ally with Russia through an energy interdependence effort. Ukraine is more of the same (and a replacement for the Afghan money laundering racket).

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

And they were actually effective and made a positive impact on the lives of millions of people on a threadbare budget with the intervention (I’m well aware that wasn’t their prime motivation, just a fortunate side-effect) We can’t have that shit.

      • JaimeRoberto (carnitas/spicy salsa)

Russia has had a naval base in Syria since the 70s. Of course they were going to be involved in our Syrian fiasco.

Sensitivity readers (i.e. employees from the Ministry) have gone through every page of Dahl’s books and ensured that they “can continue to be enjoyed by all today”. Any language related to weight, mental health, violence, gender and race has been altered or removed.

So don’t worry if you are overweight, no longer will you have to read the word ‘fat’. Unsure about your gender? Not a problem, the ‘cloud-men’ have been changed to ‘cloud-people’ and ‘ladies and gentlemen’ to ‘folks’. Not sure how to react when you hear the word ‘white’? It’s been sorted for you and the character that ‘turned white’ has now gone ‘quite pale’.

In George’s Marvellous Medicine they’ve even added in a dedication that wasn’t previously there – “This book is for doctors everywhere”.

Alexandra Strick, a co-founder of Inclusive Minds, says they “aim to ensure authentic representation, by working closely with the book world and with those who have lived experience of any facet of diversity”. To do this, they call on a team of “Inclusion Ambassadors” with a variety of “lived experience”. She says they mostly work with authors writing now, but are sometimes asked to work on older texts.
“Occasionally, publishers approach us to consult Inclusion Ambassadors when looking to reprint older titles,” says Strick. “While this is not the main focus for the Ambassadors – and we believe better authenticity is achieved through input at development stages – we do think those with lived experience can provide valuable input when it comes to reviewing language to help ensure that the stories can continue to be enjoyed by all children, so on occasions we work with publishers on classic texts.”

Wait till they get a hold of Dostoevsky.

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

Yes. Replacing the words of a man dead for 3 decades with those chosen by people with “lived experience”, even if none of that experience was during the author’s lifetime, is the pinnacle of ensuring authentic representation.

    Knowledgeable sources

Ukraine can lose the war, but Russia cannot win at a geopolitical level, Ian Bremmer, political scientist and president of Eurasia Group, told CNBC.

“Ukraine can lose this war,” Bremmer told CNBC’s Hadley Gamble at the Munich Security Conference on Friday, but Russia cannot win in NATO because of its “pariah” status, Bremmer said.

″[Russia] will still be cut off, NATO will still expand and for Putin, feeling humiliated, insecure and in a vastly worse geostrategic position than he was before he invaded, what’s he going to do as the world’s most powerful rogue state? That’s a long-term question that goes beyond Ukraine,” Bremmer added.

Bremmer said that the NATO support for Ukraine had been “extraordinary” and “well beyond what anyone thought possible,” with Germany reducing its dependency on Russian energy supplies and the U.S. taking the lead in sending military supplies to Ukraine. But he questioned whether this assistance would continue.

“Will it be true in 2024, with upcoming presidential elections?” he asked. “We don’t know what’s going to happen there.”

Let’s back Putin farther into that corner and see how pariah status affects his options.
