It’s a holiday, and that gets certain people off schedule. Also, snowing in many parts of the country including those in which snow is a novelty.

So here you go, people. The comments are all yours.

Tonio, we all appreciate you coming out of hibernation to take care of business, especially in this dangerously cold weather.

    • Ted S.

“Hibernation” is the lie you tell your kids, isn’t it?

      • Tonio

“Those bears are just hibernating together…”

      • juris imprudent

        Sweaty, sweaty hibernation…

      • Brochettaward

You got gay sex in my football thread.

You got football in my gay sex thread?

This is not chocolate and peanut butter….

    • Tonio

Thanks for the music link suggestion!

      Yes! Thank you, Tonio!

  2. The Late P Brooks

    Mine! Mine! Mine!

  3. The Late P Brooks

It’s just about time to find out how badly the Bills want to lose.

  4. Brochettaward

CBS doing propaganda for commie Karen Kathy saying no way a game could have been played yesterday. 18 inches of snow fell on Orchard Park yesterday.

In 2017, a game was played in the middle of a fucking snowstorm in Buffalo with 16 inches of snow. 8-10 of it coming in the middle of the game itself.

This is…totally different because government said so. Government told you, so now you believe.

    • whiz

Well, part of the argument was the very low temps, high winds, and dangerous wind chills. What was it like in the 2017 game?

Actually, I looked it up and it was 32 degrees, so not nearly as bad.

      • hayeksplosives

Was legalized betting on NFL games commonplace back then?

      • Brochettaward

They just played a playoff game in -30 windchill.

The high winds? They play games in tropical storms. The winds w4ere like 20-30 MPH in Buffalo.

Everything you just described is present for multiple games every year.

    • whiz

A better comparison is the Ice Bowl.

      • kinnath

        I watched that one

  5. Aloysious

    Snow?

Where’s the climate change we were promised?

Tomorrow is a day off. I’m making chili and corn bread.

  6. Mojeaux

So I sit in my warmish car waiting for Dude to get his teeth cleaned, watching football on my iPad, connected by wireless to my phone’s hotspot—a phone with more power than what got us to the moon.*

    We are truly privileged.

    *waves to Agent Sloper*

    • Brochettaward

I kind of laugh when people use the hard times, soft men quote. We are in the good times still and the soft men are coming. But these are not “hard times.” Some inflation and shit government? We’ve been through that.

      • Mojeaux

Shit won’t go sideways until the bread and circuses are over.

      • Lackadaisical

HUh, I always assumed people referencing that consider this the soft men stage.

      • TARDis

Yes. It’s the squishy soft men stage.

*Avoids looking at self in the mirror*

      • Brochettaward

Memes on Facebook call this the “hard times.”

      • Lackadaisical

Well, they’re very, very wrong. This is peak decadence stage. If this is hard for you you’re gonna be really hurting later.

      • trshmnstr the terrible

^^ this. Anything “hard times” related that can be fixed by turning off the TV and skipping the daily social media binge is more an example of the “soft men” part of the adage.

    • Tonio

“a phone with more power than what got us to the moon”

      Furtively hides shameful website.

      • dbleagle

        Not shameful….wonderful.

      • westernsloper

Well there you go then. Load that shit up on a tin foil covered golf cart and lets get back to the moon!

  7. UnCivilServant

Does This look like “Nazis Fighting Arabs” to you? There’s no Arabs and a distinct lack of fighting.

    • Ted S.

The boots are molded to their calf muscles….

      • UnCivilServant

I’ve seen worse abominations of anatomy birthed by the AI.

      • UnCivilServant

So, as far as I can tell, the AI can pick up on “Nazi” and give a reasonable facimile, but when all those references are removed, it still fails to produce anything that remotely resembles an arab. ‘Bedouin’ still shows more skin than they would, but at least has flowing cloth.

      • rhywun

My first thought. “Oh my, they aren’t skipping leg days, are they?”

    • Lackadaisical

Well, they are in a place with Arab inspired architecture, but look more prepared for parade than fighting.

      • hayeksplosives

I’m trying to figure out what the *almost* Eastern Orthodox cross has to do with it, and with gothic windows to boot.

  8. The Other Kevin

I was at the Denver airport yesterday waiting for our flight, and as the plane pulled up a pilot stepped off who was JACKED. He looked like Lou Ferrigno’s bigger brother. His shirt had to be custom made, but looked like it was one flex away from the sleeves ripping. My teammates and I were dying. We couldn’t figure out how he’d fit through the cockpit door.

    • Lackadaisical

      Brock Samson was your pilot?

      • The Other Kevin

Shorter hair, but yes like that. Only he was on the plane coming in, and our pilot was a woman who graciously assisted the crew in bringing up 10 wheelchairs in -10 degree temperatures even though she was not dressed for the weather.

      • Lackadaisical

I need to buy that whole series. Really great and Samson will really inspire you to work out.

        And then bang supermodels.

      • rhywun

I need to buy that whole series.

        #metoo

        It’s officially over, right?

      • Beau Knott

Officially, yes, but it’s been floated there might be a resurrection. Or rumors it’s been shopped around to other hosts. The official story is official, everything else is nebulous, to be kind.

      • Beau Knott

Yes, yes you do. And Radiant is the Blood of the Baboon Heart does a decent job of wrapping it all up. Better, it left lots of little potential future callbacks should our beloved Venture Bros. somehow get picked up for more episodes, without severely damaging the wrap-up.

      • Chafed

Agreed. It was surprisingly good all things considered.

  9. UnCivilServant

Oh, Tonio, I sent in a handful of articles but haven’t emailed the editors about scheduling. Two of them are ready to go, one I should add a featured image for.

    • UnCivilServant

Okay, I made the AI crap out something for the third article so as to minimize the work the editorial staff has to do.

    • Tonio

Okay, I’ll have a squint at it tomorrow during the brief period the sun is above the horizon and the atmosphere unfreezes.

      • bacon-magic

Is that a different way of saying “when hell freezes over”?

      • UnCivilServant

I think it means sometime duing the day, however brief it is this time of year.

      • Pat

I submitted something yesterday as well. It can be scheduled whenever – I probably won’t be able to be around for it.

  10. DEG

snowing in many parts of the country including those in which snow is a novelty.

    Ahh.

Slightly below freezing here. Snow tomorrow. It should start after I get home from the gym tomorrow morning.

    • Mojeaux

1F, -14F heat index, snowing like a son of a bitch.

  11. Lackadaisical

Uh… That ball is very inside the bounds.

    • Mojeaux

      Yup.

    • slumbrew

      That’s a shit call.

      • rhywun

When soccer added video refs, it became the same issue that I now see in football. Refs would rather let a wrong call pass than admit they got one wrong.

    • rhywun

That might be the “at least one required wrong call” per game I’ve read about.

      • Lackadaisical

So you think we’re safe from shit calls now?

  12. Swiss Servator

    • Aloysious

I just assumed you were off hijacking a valuable load of cheese for vaguely defined nefarious purposes.

  13. Lackadaisical

    Why is Pittsburgh even passing?

Their run is nasty, and their passing is… Not.

    • Lackadaisical

      Jesus.

Watching Diggs looks like they put it at 2x speed, and Josh’s throw is like a laser. People are amazing, like mind boggling at this level of athletics.

      • hayeksplosives

Did you see Diggs grab a sip off one of the Steelers’ Gatorade when he ended up on their sideline briefly?

        😂

      • Lackadaisical

I missed that. I did see him strangely hanging out on the sidelines after a play maybe that’s what he was up to.

      • Dr. Fronkensteen

21-0. That’s going to be tough to overcome. Not impossible but highly unlikely.

      • hayeksplosives

        LOL.

I liked him at OK State, but he definitely had a strong talent for the traditional Poke Choke(TM) at critical moments.

I wish him well, but wouldn’t bet on him.

      • rhywun

I love when Josh is like, “OK, I’ll do this myself.”

      • Lackadaisical

That run was beautiful. Dude is huge.

      • hayeksplosives

Don’t be fooled by the baby face!

  14. Brochettaward

Have I told you all how much I hate Mike Tomlin? Only NFL coach who will never be held accountable no matter how bad his team looks. Four straight playoff games where this mastermind’s unit has allowed over 40 points. I’m just assuming it gets that bad unless the Bills just rest at some point.

    • Mojeaux

      You’ve mentioned it.

    • Grumbletarian

Brilliant timeout call by the Steelers with 2 seconds left in the half after letting the clock run down for 30 seconds. 5D Football chess!

      • Lackadaisical

Yeah, gotta admit I’m puzzled by that call.

That said, didn’t Tomlin win a bunch of rings?

      • slumbrew

        1 as HC.

      • Lackadaisical

Huh, and that was forever ago. I guess I was just thinking of all the Steelers’ rings and somehow crediting them to Tomlin.

      • Brochettaward

I wouldn’t be surprised if he never wins another playoff game. The league passed him by, if it wasn’t all Cowher’s players and coaches who made him look good along with always having a franchise QB (an underrated one, at that).

He’s Marvin Lewis, but looks cooler in shades and has a more well-developed line of bullshit.

      • Don escaped Texas

Tomlin 1 / 17, above average or pure luck?

Cowher 1 / 15, above average or pure luck?

Noll 4 / 23, above average or pure luck?

      • Brochettaward

Cowher went to 6 AFCCG’s on top of two Super Bowls.

Tomlin hasn’t won a playoff gamer in 6, most likely now 7 seasons. He’s won 2 since losing to the Packers in the Super Bowl.

Cowher never had a franchise QB until 2004. Tomlin had one his entire career. Arguing with a fan on his own team is usually a really bad idea because you don’t know them a fraction as well as the fan does.

      • Brochettaward

Owner Art Rooney II last year when asked about Mike Tomlin, after going 5 years without a post-season win: I’m just glad to have Mike as my coach, when asked of what he thinks about Tomlin’s future there.

Owner Art II after his team went 16-1 and lost at home to the Pats in 2004 – the time to win a Super Bowl is now, practically demanded it from Cowher.

Cowher was nearly fired after missing the playoffs three straight seasons with bipolar Kordell Stewart at the helm. Mike Tomlin has never been held to the same standard as Cowher or Noll before him (who was fired by the Rooney’s).

      • Brochettaward

Let me add – Noll’s 90’s, often viewed as a lost decade by Steelers fans, was more successful than Tomlin’s 2010’s with Ben Roethlisberger if measured by playoff wins.

        Noll was still fired.

Tomlin hasn’t done shit in what will be 7 seasons after tonight.

      • Don escaped Texas

        my dood:

those are just silly bottom-line observations….you can’t tell whether I’m on your side or against you from them, so chill the fuck down
I did grad work in statistics: believe you me those are not posted to mean anything serious or predictive…just light and frothy fun

I strongly suspect I was a Steelers fan before you were born

        Don

      • Brochettaward

It sure sounds like a defense of Mike Tomlin to me.

  15. The Late P Brooks

I watched Allen’s run on the replay, and it looked like he started to go down hen he had the first down, and then he looked upfield and said, “well shit. I can make it from here.”

    • whiz

Agreed. And the defenders backed off because they didn’t want to be called for a late hit.

      • Brochettaward

Same shit happened in the KC game on the play where Mahomes had his helmet broken. He gained another like 10+ yards or whatever as Dolphins defenders expected him to slide and pulled up after he gained the first.

It’s a shit product the NFL is fielding.

      • Lackadaisical

That’s definitely a factor in all QB running. Josh does take advantage of it to the max, admittedly.

  16. rhywun

    OFFS not this shit again.

Someone’s been leaking bad Hollywood scripts to the media again.

Spelling “Baltics” as “Balkans” and “Balkins” is a nice touch.

    • Dr. Fronkensteen

but told BILD: “I can tell you that considering different scenarios, even if they are extremely unlikely, are part of everyday military business, especially in training

^This. Soldiers train maneuver and shooting to fight, the war planners plan as part of their training.

      • creech

Never planned for a mostly peaceful “insurrection” on J6. Or did Orangehitler order Pentagon to scuttle those plans?

      • Dr. Fronkensteen

I assume the military doesn’t plan to deal with riots. The Capitol riot didn’t kick off a civil war.

    Odds and Ends

I was reading about tier-1 libertarian Dick Proenneke and found this gem:

    ***
Sam Keith, who came to know Proenneke at the Kodiak Naval Station and went on numerous hunting and fishing trips with him, suggested that Proenneke’s journals might be the basis for a good book. In 1973, Keith published the book One Man’s Wilderness: An Alaskan Odyssey, based on Proenneke’s journals and photography.[1]: vii  Proenneke however alleged that Keith had “changed some things” to embellish the story, such as writing that Proenneke had assumed a role as King of Bears and wielded power over them.
    ***

I was surprised to learn the other day that 44% of Canadian Mensa members believe in astrology. I wonder what our resident astrologer has to say about that. Here’s the article:

    https://som.yale.edu/news/2009/11/why-high-iq-doesnt-mean-youre-smart

It contains some cringeworthy Obama simping at the end.

    ***
We might also be better equipped to elect leaders that did the same. Bush’s successor is intellectually engaged, shows cognitive flexibility, can question beliefs, is sensitive to inconsistency and engages in counterfactual thinking, says Stanovich. “They could not be more different in their rational thinking profiles.” President Obama’s IQ, incidentally, is well above average – but then so was Bush’s.
    ***

I’m over the hump on my short story writing project. Yay me. If I keep up the current pace, I’ll be done by the end of this month. After that, I think I’ll switch to poetry.

Oh yeah, the Taiwanese ministry of foreign affairs declared independence today, so I’m sure Biden will handle that with his usual grace and aplomb. And no mean tweets!

Many thanks to the powers that be for this wonderful place.

    • Brochettaward

No one knows what the fucking IQ of Obama or Bush was.

      • rhywun

Obama’s superpower was spinning lines of bullshit and getting people to fall all over it.

      • Brochettaward

It was that he was black, and as Harry Reid put it, was clean, articulate and could sell himself as intelligent.

He came from that Ivy League bubble where they know how to say a lot of words without saying anything. Intellectual jibber jabber.

      • hayeksplosives

You’re absolutely right except for the quote.

It was Senator Joe Biden who said it! Which made it all the more baffling that Obama chose him as Veep.

        https://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/01/31/biden.obama/

“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy,” Biden said. “I mean, that’s a storybook, man.”

      • Brochettaward

Bigotry of low expectations. Obama was the magical negro Messiah who came along and allowed the left to feel good about themselves.

      • hayeksplosives

It certainly helped Obama that the media didn’t repay his gaffes and did fawn all over him. “Thrill up the leg”—really??

      • hayeksplosives

        “Replay” not repay

      • cyto

Even better, he was the master of saying absolutely nothing and getting people to masturbate furiously about how great his rhetoric was.

In his first state of the Union he literally said that tough economic times meant “When you are a family, you have to tighten your belt and make tough choices. But at the same time, you have to invest in the future”

So…. cut spending and raise spending to fix the recession. Got it.

        Everyone cheered.

        I blame us.

      • Derpetologist

Let’s suppose both had an IQ of about 120. That would put them close to the 90th percentile. Nice, but in a country of 330 million people, there will be about 99,000 people in the 99.7 percentile. Shouldn’t someone with as much power as the president be the absolute cream of the crop?

Yeah, IQ isn’t everything. So what? The whole reason it came to be was because a British researcher noticed that students who get good grades in one subject tended to get good grades in all of them. That led him to wonder if a kind of general intelligence existed.

I think elections would take an amusing turn if candidates had to disclose their IQs. I doubt there would be many surprises. Anybody who boasts about it ought to show proof of it.

    • Lackadaisical

“Oh yeah, the Taiwanese ministry of foreign affairs declared independence today”

For real? All the articles coming up are about nauru breaking off relations.

      • Ted S.

Well, the pro-independence DPP won the presidential election, but the previous president was DPP too.

    • Ted S.

Oh yeah, the Taiwanese ministry of foreign affairs declared independence today,

      Got a link?

      • hayeksplosives

The Russian Foreign Ministry stated that Taiwan is an integral part of China, echoing the official Beijing’s statements. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Taiwan responded to Moscow’s claim.

“Taiwan is a sovereign and independent country and is not part of the People’s Republic of China. China has never ruled Taiwan for a single day. This is an objective fact and the status quo,” the statement said.
        ***

        link

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

It’s a stronger statement than usual but Taiwan’s still hedging. As for the dueling statements, they both reflect current policy and, as Taiwan said, the status quo.

      • Ted S.

Taiwan is a sovereign and independent country and the PRC (and if memory serves Outer Mongolia) is an integral part of it.

At least, that’s kinda sorta the view of the Republic of China: there’s one China, and it’s the legitimate government. Well, there’s also “one country, two systems”, and former President Lee Teng-hui tried floating the phrase “special state-to-state relations” around 2000.

The problem is, everyone knows there are de facto two independent countries, but de jure nobody wants to admit it, and no third country wants to (or is unable to) admit it either.

      • Ted S.

Er, wait a second. Not “one country, two systems”, but “one China, one Taiwan”.

    Good news and bad news

    The good:

I watched Blue Eye Samurai on Netflix. It is really well done. The animation is great. The story features a Mulan type in Japan, living as a male warrior, traveling the country hunting down those who wronged her for revenge.

But she is no Mary Sue. She is the typical super-great warrior who defeates insurmountable odds, but she gets hurt, takes losses, struggles…. and she is not uniformly good. In fact, she is kind of terrible sometimes. And other characters call her out for it.

It was really well done story telling.

    The bad:

The actual “moral of the story” is “white man bad”. Like, they actually say it out loud several times in the closing act. It is actually jarring, similar to, if better done than the “Do Better” speech in Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

I actually kinda was OK with it… make the show you want to make with the moral you want, but at least do it well.

This is the first attempt at doing woke messaging I have seen that was actually good storytelling. In fact, if they could have resisted the need to put a giant lampshade on The Message by having characters say it out loud, it would have been quite good and possibly ly effective. (White bad guy actually says to the mixed race heroine as they watch the city burn: “Look at that, the best city in the world destroyed because of your revenge. That’s the white side of you.” Ugh)

    • Brochettaward

I started the first episode, and I found the attempt to adopt anime tropes obnoxious. I don’t need the fat goofy guy following her around.

I’ll probably watch the rest at some point. I keep hearing good things.

Alita Battle Angel was apparently woke, but well done, too.

      • cyto

Alita was before woke became full on woke. A feminist message, or even anti male message, isn’t as hard to write as a full on woke storyline. Intersectional tropes, open racism and a love of preachiness are difficult to make tolerable, let alone entertaining.

      • Lackadaisical

That’s a really old movie. I’ve got a couple DVDs of didn’t versions.

Oh, I see they remade it.

    • Mojeaux

For whatever reason, I thought back to a Mary Sue general who couldn’t stand to have her 2nd in command command in her absence (he was an old, weathered, experienced soldier type who was loyal to her). Now, at the end of the book, she realized she wasn’t a good peacetime leader. Okay, that’s cool redemption from Mary Sueness (too little too late), BUT any leader who doesn’t trust her perfectly capable lieutenant isn’t much of a leader.

    • Don escaped Texas

      We really enjoyed it.

I don’t argue with your assessment that it’s woke to have a Scotman be the evil guy, but I didn’t take that as the moral or theme of the story. She is mad at her European paternity and the challenges it dumps on her, but I didn’t read that to mean she was ready to start a fitting and proper genocide: she just wants to kill the team of men who are the root of her problems, and, conveniently, they stick out amongst the Japanese.

Consider, if Europeans are evil just because, then she is evil just because. She is constantly suffering the racist slings of the Japanese: if Europeans are natively evil, that would be fitting and proper; if that is the moral, they should hate her just for being…for being half Celtic (is that truly white? nevermind). But that can’t be the point: she suffers because racism is wrong, a notion that I don’t think the woke have the market cornered on.

she is not uniformly good, so maybe her racism isn’t heroic; maybe it doesn’t support any woke agenda.

Maybe it does and I missed it. It did not seem like a hard woke sell to me, and everything pisses me off. I think it’s just a good story, almost Faulknerian: a crazy place, a crazy time, a person beset with troubles not of her choosing. Quentin killed himself; she does not.

Yeah, couldn’t do it. Thought about watching it however.

I am watching Delicious in Dungeon. I’m 50/50 on Studio Trigger. This is on the plus side so far.

      • R.J.

I just watched Shin Ultraman. It was great.

      • Sensei

I’d give that a shot. I can’t tell you how many of the original dubbed TV shows I watched as a kid.

      • R.J.

I really hope it comes up on ad-supported streaming so I can post it.

    • slumbrew

“Whites bad” was annoying AF but didn’t keep me from enjoying the show.

She also shrugged off injury way too fast, which annoyed me too.

      • slumbrew

“ That’s the white side of you” was super cringy.

      • cyto

Got a sword through the ankle and walked it off. Some of it was distracting…

But… not out of bounds for the hero of this type of story. John wick, Ethan Hunt, Rambo… gritty action stars get shot and keep on fighting. Bad action heroes never get hurt.

I also liked that when she went up against bigger opponents and they got their hands on her, she got manhandled and rag-dolled.

        Mary Sue never gets bested.

    • Grumbletarian

I like it, but I find it hard to call it woke because damn near everyone in the show is racist in one way or another, and none of it is portrayed as acceptable. She wants to kill the white men because one of them is her father. All the native Japanese people with a few exceptions think less of her because of her half-white heritage.

    • Lackadaisical

Seriously? I’ve been trying to watch it because so many people here say it’s good.

I think it is a shitty story, badly executed. Or mediocre anyway. Didn’t realize they’d actually lean in to the racism. I thought the moral was going to be that racism is bad even if against whites. Guess not.

    • Sensei

      Allow me to present

      Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut

The first 8 episodes were a wonderful exploration of racism and the shittiness of the USSR with wonderful nuance.

The remaining 4 episodes were a shitty tacked on partly happy ending that made me absolutely unable to recommend it.

I had jalepeno and cheddar smoked sausage for lunch, and am having bacon burnt ends and brisket for dinner. Too cold to grill? Never!

    • Mojeaux

Dude says FedEx some of your jalapeno cheddar sausage to him.

      • slumbrew

        These euphemisms…

    • R.J.

I grilled hamburgers in 10 degrees outside.

      • Sean

I grilled 4 strips and 4 pork chops today. I’ve got a drawer full of meat.

      • Tres Cool

You know who else had drawers full of meat ?

      • slumbrew

        Jeffrey Dahmer?

    • hayeksplosives

      That does sound delicious. Enjoy!!

  21. Mojeaux

Welp. I guess I know where the Chiefs will be Sunday.

    • rhywun

      😀

      • Mojeaux

        *waves at Rhywun*

      • rhywun

I didn’t know that is why you were rooting for the Stillers.

      • Mojeaux

It wasn’t, but since we’re gonna be there, I might as well wave.

      • rhywun

        Ha OK.

        You’re gonna be in Buffalo??

I’m 150 miles away so I probably won’t see it.

  22. Grumbletarian

That was a hell of a play by the Bills WR to score that TD. But before it, that was a bullshit roughing the passer call. I think it’s already been discussed that running QBs fake slides to let the defense pull up, which is what happened on Allen’s TD run. But on this play he slides and the defender was committed to the hit, and even then did not nail Allen the way it looked.

    Garbage call.

See the NFL funding and piimping flag football? And it’s going to the Olympics?

It’s the future the NFL wants.

      • hayeksplosives

        I fear you are right.

When they first brought up flag football I thought it was a nice community outreach thing that the NFL does from time to time.

But I believe you are correct; they want to set up Flag Football as the inclusive, non-violent, civilized sport, and destroy the smashmouth real football that we troglodytes love.

Flag football is the only way trans men can compete and not die.

      • Tres Cool

Depends on how hey enforce the rules.
15 year-old Tres broke his wrist during an after school flag football game in the parking lot.
I had the ball, was running, and a neanderthal shoved me down, activating the instinct to put your hands out before a fall.

      • Brochettaward

They call that the “I’m a pussy” instinct.

      • Tres Cool

No doubt you’ve broken both of yours many times.
Hell, with your infirm body and frail stature, your wrists likely shatter after an exuberant viewing of pr0nhub.

    • rhywun

That was the make-up garbage call for the garbage call earlier.

That shit happens in soccer all the time.

Looking at the snow in my front yard, I think Will Smith was here.

    I saw fresh prints.

    • R.J.

I thought you were going to say “I saw Chris Rock clutching his face.”

Drizzle or dip your pizza in this cheese. 1. Tropical, 2. Genovese, 3. American, 4. Margherita.

Tropical sounds like pineapple. OTH, no corn…

      • R.J.

There is a photo of pineapple on one of them. I think it is pineapple and seafood.

    • rhywun

      Yikes.

There is a Dominos that is a five-minute walk from me. I am not above trying it out some day.

      • R.J.

It is a Japan exclusive. I may try to recreate it. Only it should have a volcano of ranch or blue cheese dip.

      • rhywun

        Oh, not that shit.

        I saw a pan-pizza commercial earlier – that is what I want.

      • Tres Cool

I dont mind their hand-tossed, since Jugsy bitches about thin crust.

      • rhywun

They were the best available when I was a kid because the local chains were just awful.

      • Tres Cool

16″ pizza for about $18 with a puddle of goo in the middle?

        def would try
