The Hat and The Hair Animated: Rerun: Ep 17

by | May 8, 2024 | Hat and Hair | 40 comments

Not much to say about this episode. It’s titled ‘MAGA Country’ as this was around the of the Juicy Sommelier hoax. You get Donald talking to all his hats.  That’s pretty much it.  I think I managed to work in some playful interactions with audio editing, Donald and The Hat talking about music.

Other authors do music, I never do because I’m doing other video stuff. But what the hell, why not throw in some music as well. This should be The Glibs Theme Song. If you watch closely, the video has appearances by SEA AND STEVE SMITH and mayhaps even SPACE SMITH.

He should file a complaint for fraud and theft by deception.

Hertz needs – and very much deserves – to go out of business.

      • dbleagle

Seconded. Their customer service went downhill around 2010 and has been falling ever since. Since Hertz is being shortsighted and stupid he should take it to a local network station. Even CNN would love to take on a rental car company who is flagrantly so wrong. If the ex-customer fails with his CC company, he should take it to small claims court and get a legal judgement against the company.

There’s a joke in there somewhere about Hertz and OJ, dying to get out.

      • Chafed

That is incredible. Some enterprising law firm could file a class action case.

On the one hand, he rented a Tesla.

On the other hand, fuck Hertz.

      Good morning, Sean!

Speaking of local news, a narrow but INTENSE band of thunderstorms rolled through the area just after midnight last night. Jeeminy criminy, the wind was loud! Fortunately, we never lost power, and so far I haven’t seen (or heard via the news) of any damage.

      • Gender Traitor

        Good morning, U!

      • Gender Traitor

OK! I thought it would be raining all morning and afternoon, but I guess we’re getting a break until around noon. I’m hoping to get to the rec center for some long overdue exercise after work today. How about you?

      • UnCivilServant

I have a remote day at work, then the ‘banquet’ for the bowling league (it’s not so fancy or food filled as the name suggests)

      • Gender Traitor

Is it at the bowling alley?

      • UnCivilServant

        No, it’s at a restaurant.

      • Gender Traitor

That’s at least a bit encouraging re: the quality of whatever food there will be.

      • UnCivilServant

It’s the same place as last year, so I know what to expect.

      • Ownbestenemy

Morning! Glad to hear no storm damage.

      • Gender Traitor

Good morning, OBE! How are things on the wrong side of the river? 😉

      • Ownbestenemy

A lot quieter last night than the previous night!

      • Gender Traitor

Did y’all get any damage from that (those?) storm(s)? Ten confirmed tornadoes in the Miami Valley Tuesday night, all either north or south of Dayton.

      • Ownbestenemy

No, just loud. Old man dog is too old to be bothered but the lady dog was trembling.

      • Sean

        🙂

    • Not Adahn

Isn’t it your job to “service her watch?”

Good morning, homey! How are things in the wrong corner of the state?

I listened to the audiobook version of Seven Days in May by Fletcher Knebel. I enjoyed the book, but it was better, and more believable, after I retconned President Lyman from being a Democrat to being the first Libertarian (and libertarian) President.

The book was published in 1961, but is set thirteen years “in the future”, after a disastrous police action in the Middle East that resulted in the nation of Iran splitting into two countries. The book begins with the quote from Eisenhower, where he talks about the military-industrial complex. It is reported that JFK liked the book.

      Ironically.
