I insisted on Aerons at the office for over 20 years. We have two at home now (one for me and one for Mrs. Dean). I paid (checks notes) nothing for them because the purchasing director at my hospital owed me a solid and “misplaced” the paperwork when I got them on my way out the door to retire. I think. Paying for them just never came up, somehow.

My Aeron was a dot-bomb door prize and is over 25 years old now.
I’ve been WFH for 14+ years now, so it gets used way more than 2000 hours a year and is still going strong.
Only issue was replacing the piston a few years back – around $40 for a whole replacement kit.
A tiny bit of fraying on the front edge of the seat but just cosmetic so far.
I wouldn’t hesitate to spend money on one if need be, even new it’d be worth it. As mentioned, a ton are available used.

Happy morning time, my fellow freedom enthusiasts.
Hey, decent song with a video featuring that rat faced weirdo who was the goto skeevy guy bit part player in a thousand ‘90s movies. I freaking miss the ‘90s.
Rain scheduled for this afternoon and the garden will enjoy the bath.

Good morning, 4(20), U, and Sean! We had our rain yesterday, and apparently there’s been a bit of fog this morning. Best of all, forecast high of only 81 today before it starts to swelter again for the weekend.
Yesterday our IT guy and I were trying to see if I could be set up to work from home as a “just in case” sort of thing. Found out my phone is one version of Android short of being able to install the app we use for security to access the VPN when working remotely…and LG never updated my phone model to use Android 11. 🙄
I’m bogged down in employee horse trading because the current management of the person we hired want to keep that person and are offering to swap items so the employee gets to keep the promotion but we end up back at the canvas stage (looking for people to interview).

Ugh! I bet you’d much rather have a serious technical issue than an HR one! 😣
I want to make sure this is clear from the get-go—this is a terrible opinion. I am not happy about it. HOWEVER, this opinion had to do with the TEMPORARY INJUNCTION in this case. For details, please see my pinned tweet on X. The court is making a decision whether, at this stage of the game, after limited (will get to that in a moment) discovery, the Plaintiffs have the right to an injunction that would halt the government from coercing and cooperating with social media platforms to censor speech.
I don’t believe the Justices read the record. Had they, there just isn’t a way to come to this decision. This is why the oral argument was so important. Three of the Justices WARNED that the oral argument would be important.

Yes it’s not ideal but it’s not as bad as it’s being spun because it relates to the injunction only, correct? But of course the Supremes are going to come down on the side of government authority nine times out of ten because they’re part of it.
I just wish some Turkey in the Hovernment starts threatening to shut down Facebook over “misinformation” posts about the bread and wine literally turning into the body and blood of Christ.
I take it Iowa kicked Sconnie ass in girls BB last year?

He only kills pets that he’s going to eat, he doesn’t hunt for sport, that would be wrong.

A great video on 40k worldbuilding. Great discussion re: cultural challenges (and nice eye candy if you’re not just playing it in the background).

Good video options available – mostly trailer clips
I actually like reading a lot of comments on this type of video too – lots of good discussion generally – some very long ones.

I think we need a Constitutional Amendment specifically prohibiting the government from taking away the individual’s right to own firearms.
I also think there needs to be a Constitutional Amendment that mandates only US citizens can vote in US elections (Federal, state, and/or local)
A Constitutional Amendment prohibiting the FedGov from even suggesting that a social media company censor its customers.
