All the plants turning white is pretty cool, though.

We just went through our first winter inversion last week. That’s the downside of living in a bowl. Today is cloudy with blue sky and rain/snow in the forecast. I’m going to bundle up and go sun myself on a rock like a lizard.

Links?

So last week I said that I thought DARPA was behind some of the drone activity in Jersey. That still may be the case, and a lot of sightings are nothing more than jets lined up for final approach, but there’s another component as well, I think.

All the right people are shitting the bed.

Nancy takes up tumbling.

More European colonizing of Africa uncovered by historians.

GFY. How about you learn your gun and practice with it to prevent this? Oh, and go retake clearing a gun 101.

I’m not surprised by this. You’re comparing three completely different generations at three different stages in life.

I hope that Syria can recover and become less shitty. But given the neighborhood, I have doubts.

Okay, that’s it for me. I’ll be hanging with my cousin and family that just moved here when this posts. Peace out, Glibbies.

Wow. This really, really sucks.

Former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been hospitalized after she ā€œsustained an injuryā€ during an official engagement in Luxembourg, according to a spokesman.

    Too soon?

    • R C Dean

      Never too soon, for her.

  2. R C Dean

ā€œSo last week I said that I thought DARPA was behind some of the drone activity in Jersey.ā€

ā€œWeā€™re running a top-secret drone program with all kinds of cutting-edge stuff. I know! Letā€™s fly them in job lots over New Jersey!ā€

Just stupid enough to be government think tank work. I think you may be on to something.

  3. R C Dean

Allofasudden, people are worried that the FBI director ā€œ could open investigations unilaterally or influence background checksā€?

    Whatā€™s the Law? Oh, yeah:

    Me today, you tomorrow.

    Bitchez.

    • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Which people? The ones that the FBI has been fucking over the last few years?

Or the ones fucking people over via the gov’t?

  4. The Late P Brooks

Each thinks the gun in their hand is unloaded because the magazine holding the bullets has been removed.

None of them realize there is still a single live round in each gunā€™s chamber, bullets that will kill their neighbor, their Marine buddy, and their grandsonā€™s friend when they pull the trigger.

If only there were some way to check the chamber.

    • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Or, even better, don’t point it at something you don’t want destroyed!

Gun safety, what is it again?

      • The Artist Formerly Known as Lackadaisical

Point at, and then pull the trigger.

  5. Shpip

ā€œIt would be a design defect in any other conceivable product in the American marketplace,ā€ said Gary Klein, a former assistant attorney general of Massachusetts and an advocate for safer guns.

Or… it’s a conscious design, since not everyone wants a magazine disconnect.

If you don’t check and clear the chamber of your semi-auto after dropping the magazine, that’s entirely on you.

    • R C Dean

Since guns are designed to fire when there is a round in the chamber, Iā€™m not sure how its a design defect that they do, in fact, fire when there is a round in the chamber.

  6. R C Dean

ā€œEach thinks the gun in their hand is unloaded because the magazine holding the bullets has been removed.ā€

Then they are fucking morons. Iā€™ve never, not once, had a gun class of any kind that didnā€™t emphasize ā€œClear the fucking chamber, and fucking confirm that its fucking clear.ā€

      • R C Dean

I donā€™t even hand anyone a gun without the slide or bolt locked back unless there is a very specific reason otherwise and they are 100% expecting it.

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

        ^^This

And I hope to god that every time I hand a weapon to someone that they too check the fucking chamber immediately. I would check if you handed one to me.

    • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

The one gun safety class I took, hunters safety in fact, did not say a single word about clearing a chamber. It was only DON’T POINT IT AT ANYTHING YOU DON’T WANT DESTROYED.

      • R C Dean

Iā€™m not even talking about gun safety classes per se. Every class Iā€™ve taken, including multi-day ā€œtacticalā€ classes chock full of experience shooters, has relentlessly pounded ā€œclear the fucking chamberā€ as well as each of the other Four Rules. Fer fuckā€™s sake, at Gunsite they have the Four Rules posted above each urinal.

      • creech

Is that the class that Alec Baldwin cut?

      • Spudalicious

Alec Baldwin skipped the, don’t put pressure on the trigger of a single action revolver when you cock it class. Every single picture I’ve seen of him holding a gun, his finger is on the fucking trigger.

      • rhywun

his finger is on the fucking trigger

Listen, you thoughtless little pig. You have insulted me for the last time, and I will straighten your ass out.

The report also found that boomers intend to pass on approximately $3.1 million, compared to the average wealthy individual, who plans to pass around $4.1 million. Meanwhile, wealthy Millennials plan to pass on about $4.7 million in assets.

Talk is cheap. Let’s see you giving away your assets, Millenials.

    • UnCivilServant

      Fuck you.

I’m looking for ways to make sure I am never worth more dead than alive.

    • R C Dean

Itā€™s easy to plan on passing on more money before youā€™ve lived through 30 years of (a) spending money and (b) getting fucked in the markets.

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Not to mention ungrateful relatives and shitty charities.

      • R C Dean

I donā€™t have a clue how much money Mater and Pater Dean have. They donā€™t seem worried, which is all that matters to me.

    • Muzzled Woodchipper

Not just that, no one knows what itā€™ll be worth when millennials retire in 20-30 years. This shit is so stupid.

      Spray it with fucking raid.

Former FBI officials have warned that Donald Trumpā€™s nominee to be the next FBI director, Kash Patel, could have limitless power at the bureau

How is that different from the current FBI director? Oh. Right. The Wrong Person.

    Time for a beer.

  11. R.J.

    1. Itā€™s not drones. Word got around that this planet has the best Old Fashioneds. Somehow those cheese dicks confused New Jersey with Las Vegas. Itā€™ll get sorted out in another day or two. The broccoli heads are slow.
2.Kash Patel, who all the FBI is going to resist, will have unlimited power. Riiiiiiight. Waiter, Iā€™ll have what that guy is smoking!

    • Aloysious

Can you at least have your Bro’s give Chris Christie the anal probing of his life?

I want his face frozen in a look of complete surprise for the rest of his days.

      • creech

And leave his quivering remains in the east bound lanes of the George Washington Bridge.

      • R.J.

Ick, no! The Grays do that butt stuff. We just eat, drink, and engage in the finer points of capitalism. And gambling. Love gambling.
I will ask if somebody can empty their cassette toilet over his house though.

      • DEG

And leave his quivering remains in the east bound lanes of the George Washington Bridge.

You gotta pay to get out of New Jersey… because it is worth it. But I’m not sure that’s the right price to pay.

  12. EvilSheldon

“A simple device could help curb accidental gun deaths, but most firearms donā€™t have it.”

Sorry, kids. Your decades of advocacy for gun control and confiscation, mean that no one is offering you a seat at the table where we discuss actual firearms safety. Go cry some more.

So why was Pelosi visiting the Grand Duke’s palace in Luxembourg? I don’t believe she gives a shit about the Battle of the Bulge.

      • Drake

Getting instructions from her globalist overlords?

  14. Gender Traitor

Possibly paranoid grousing: I scheduled an upcoming phone bill payment to be paid on the due date, shown online as 12/20. Today I got the routine payment reminder, and it claimed the payment was due on 12/19. I’m suspicious that they’re trying to get an excuse to charge me a late fee. It doesn’t help that I can’t find a way to REschedule the payment for the earlier date, and I’ll be damned if I’m going to pay it twice. šŸ˜’

    • Drake

      Mojeaux’s link too…

    • Sensei

Makes sense, but I donā€™t understand the parts of NJ with the high concentration of reported sightings.

Unless they have intelligence about real material there that shouldnā€™t be there.

      • Mojeaux

My link says is a psyop to see what the masses will do with a lot of drones running around looking for radiation.

      • Sensei

Yeah, why pick the parts of NJ they did as a psyop? That is what I donā€™t get.

Iā€™d choose different spots in the state.

      • Old Man With Candy

After I was in Malkovich’s body, a drone dropped me in New Jersey.

      • Sensei

I tried and failed to enjoy that filmā€¦

    • Sensei

That was me about 8 months ago.

For me there was a dead spot. If you spun it with the allen key it would work again until it sopped at the dead spot again.

You may be able to limp it until you replace it.

    • rhywun

He should sue everyone who called him “Hitler”.

    • slumbrew

Technically they’re donating $15M to his presidential library, not him directly, I believe.

      • Evan from Evansville

Forcing them to pay for his Presidential Library, his physical legacy as Prez, has to š’”š’•š’Šš’š’ˆ. Trump can also have ’em donate to a charity of his choosing. The Institute for Justice might be a good choice, or one that would further fund investigating the news’ lies and accusations. Fucking rub salt in the wound.

Gotta say, a vindictive Trump DOJ would please me and actually, legit, be good for the country. All The Right people are terrified, and their fear needs to be further stoked. Damocles’ sword may slice deeper, don’tcha know?

    • The Hyperbole

Meh, “He said I was found guilty of rape when I was only found guilty of sexual assault” isn’t that big of a win, send the money to a charity and let it go.

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

When was he found guilty of Sexual Assault?

Not just that someone claimed it, but that he was actually found guilty of that specific crime. I don’t recall him doing any time, which would be the usual outcome of said verdict.

      • whiz

The statement was that he was found liable — it was a civil, not criminal, trial.

    • Evan from Evansville

Fuckin’ nimbly fingers, ya have. Our sentiments align. Almost sensual.

I haven’t seen this rather amusing bit around here: ABC News and anchor George Stephanopoulos have to pay Trump $15M for a a defamation lawsuit Trump filed this year when Stephanopoulos “repeatedly claimed that Trump had been found ā€œliable for rape.”‘ ABC/Steph had to add an editor’s note saying they “regret” George’s comments, but don’t include what they were. “Surprise, She Wrote.”

One *should* occur, but won’t. Let’s say there really is an investigation into all The Media’s lies, obfuscation, legit election interference* and more: Would be a mortal wound. No idea how The News would recover, but it certainly will. Information is the ultimate resource and people will pay a handsome price for folk who can reliably deliver trustworthy news.

*Buried in the last graf: [Trump] filed a lawsuit against CBS, demanding $10 billion in damages over the networkā€™s ā€œ60 Minutesā€ interview with Vice President Kamala Harris. His legal counsel claimed the interview with Harris and the associated programming were ā€œpartisan and unlawful acts of election and voter interferenceā€ intended to ā€œmislead the public and attempt to tip the scalesā€ of the presidential election in her favor. Legal counsel claimed the interview with Harris and the associated programming were ā€œpartisan and unlawful acts of election and voter interferenceā€ intended to ā€œmislead the public and attempt to tip the scalesā€ of the presidential election in her favor.

Interesting times a’comin’, and all the right people are terrified. *snorts hefty line of twinkly glint*
