I like the idea of Britain turning into Shelbyville. But we must protect our precious lemon tree. BritWar III if that’s what it takes.

What Nancy Mace’s Despicable Slur Will Cost Us

Once upon a time, politicians refrained from using slurs to describe members of minority groups. Instead, they expressed their hatred through euphemism and impersonal fearmongering, lest they be deemed uncivilized. For public officials, it seemed like enough to pass discriminatory laws and promote negative stereotypes—they didn’t need to name-call, too.

That era is over. Last week, a group of trans-rights activists staged a sit-in at the Capitol to protest a resolution, proposed by Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.), that would prohibit transgender women from using women’s restrooms in the building.  After a few of them were arrested for protesting, Mace herself headed down to the offices of the U.S. Capitol Police to make a video at the scene.

Here’s how Mace explained the situation: “Some tr*nny protesters showed up at the Capitol today to protest my bathroom bill.” To make sure no viewers would miss the slur, Mace posted it with subtitles.

Dipshit complains that she can no longer police language, cannot grasp that her and her kind’s excesses prove exactly why politeness was always just a one-way street.

Bonus idiocy from the comments:

Remember American History X? Remember Edward Norton’s character? The curb-stomping, the routine incitement to and infliction of violence? And remember how, once held to account by being sent to prison, he was raped? In that low moment, he began to claw his way back to regaining his own humanity. For Nancy Mace, if she was on the receiving end, if someone grabbed her by the poo-say just to “put her in her place,” she wouldn’t have a moment of insight. She’d remain the malignant attention hore that she’s proven herself to be. She has a profound deficit of humanity, and that absence of humanity is a deadly miscalculation on her end. If she’s willing to discard her own humanity for base self-advancement, then how much sympathy is she due when she’s the target?

Wishing for Mace to be correctively sexually assaulted is a fabulous take, isn’t it?

But wait… there’s more!

I Have a Suggestion for What the DOGE Guys Could Actually Do to Cut Government Spending

If Musk and Ramaswamy are serious about cutting government spending, they should start with the tax code. This sounds counterintuitive—taxes are where we raise money, not spend it—but in fact, we spend approximately $1.7 trillion each year through the tax code.

This spending—disguised as deductions, exemptions, and tax credits—tends to favor the wealthy in ways that would likely never be approved if proposed as direct subsidies, obscures the government’s size and impact, and impedes our ability to tackle government spending. Let me explain.

Our tax code contains two kinds of rules. The first, often referred to as “normative,” is designed to measure income. An example might be deductions for business expenses, which are necessary to determine how much money someone actually made. The second kind of rule is designed to reward or penalize taxpayer behavior. Examples include the deduction for retirement savings and the exclusion of employer-provided health insurance. It is this area of tax code that has become overgrown and ripe for pruning.

Not taxing is spending! So taxing more is cutting spend! These fucking idiots are morons.

In the wake of the most anti-trans campaign cycle in U.S. history, mainstream conservatives are starting to envision some political upside to abandoning any feigned concern for trans people—and dehumanizing them in the starkest, most shocking terms.

Today, Bad Cattitude referred to the MSM as “projection driven drama donkeys.”

This article could be Exhibit A.

    • R C Dean

I think you could also make the case that it is either the first or second most pro-trans campaign cycle in US history. When was the last time we had a Presidential candidate who was as pro-transing as Kams, anyway?

Because transing, pro or con, was simply not even a tiny part of any campaign until very very recently.

    • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

In all honesty, I would say the Biden administration was the “most anti-trans” administration. Everything they did was an anti-tranny display.

Just not in the ways they thought.

    • JaimeRoberto (carnitas/spicy salsa)

“the most anti-trans campaign cycle in U.S. history”

I don’t think men were trying to use women’s restrooms and push their way into women’s sports for most of our history.

      • Tonio

Just remember that previously they were complaining about “invisibility.” Now they are highly visible and ain’t liking it none at all.

    • rhywun

Anything short of total submission to the most delusional demands & uncritical acceptance of all the debunked supporting evidence – is proof of the most anti-trans anything ever.

      • Q Continuum

It’s about destruction of objective truth in service of demoralization of the population. The trans shit is just the tool du jour, as soon as they become inconvenient, they’ll get tossed onto an ice floe (see: “normie” gay men, soccer moms, high-income Asians, etc.).

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

Agree with Q. When we start to question and actively deny objective truths, They™️ can feed us anything they want. This bullshit isn’t about the right for a man to whip out his lady dick in bathrooms, it’s about us denying there is a fundamental difference between the women and the men with lady dicks. That’s the goal.

      • rhywun

There are two levels here. One is the elites who indeed push shit just for the thrill of “smashing the system”. Then there are the targets of their focus – in this case, people with gender dysphoria – whom they have successfully convinced to go along with all of their crazy shit.

I feel for the latter. The former can die in a fire. Preferably before they move on their next targets.

  8. The Late P Brooks

it provides greater subsidies to those in higher tax brackets than those in lower brackets. If someone proposed a direct subsidy where rich people were given more money than poor people … well, let’s just say that the politics of that would be difficult.

Rich people buy more expensive houses. No shit, Shirley?

    • Nephilium

Wait… I remember the outcry when the SALT deduction was reduced. Exactly the type of thing they’re arguing for here.

    • R C Dean

Someone is very confused about what a “subsidy” is. Now, there are some in the tax code, but they mostly go to the po’ – the EITC and similar. “You don’t have to pay tax on some of what you made last year” isn’t a subsidy.

    • Rat on a train

But remove the SALT cap, right Ds?

  9. Tonio

So, does Mace’s resolution only prohibit trans “women” from using female-designated restrooms, or does the resolution apply to all biological males.

“keeping trans people out of bathrooms”

Again, I’m not seeing that. It’s a question of WHICH bathrooms.

I’m completely indifferent to the term “tranny” (“trannie”?) as it’s a shortening of the term “transgender.” Just as “homo” is a much more neutral term than “faggot.”

    • R C Dean

My understanding is that if you’re a tranny, you aren’t allowed to use any bathroom at all.

      • rhywun

        separate individual restrooms

That is the way to go – I have seen it in new constructions.

And I predict there will be complaints over it by all the usual people.

      • EvilSheldon

Alien? They make Mexicans use one particular bathroom? That can’t be right!

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Why? They are all going to be using the back door pretty soon…

    • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Tranny is the feminine, Trans is the male.

      • Nephilium

    • rhywun

“Tranny” was a familiar, somewhat humorous, and not at all pejorative term as recently as a couple decades ago when, e.g., NYC’s Meatpacking District was characterized more by tranny hookers than Apple Stores.

I believe it was intentionally pushed as a pejorative in recent years for the attention and of course to shame the rest of us.

      • The Artist Formerly Known as Lackadaisical

I was told it was offensive at least 18 years ago.

  12. The Late P Brooks

Here’s the thing about bathrooms. Most of us realize there is a non zero chance, in a public bathroom, of a homosexual being present. We survive, and are most likely none the wiser. In theory, the same should hold true for transsexuals just looking for a warm place to take a shit. The problem arises from the transsexuals’ lobby’s need to turn a private function into a public political display. If some chick in Carharts and Red Wing work boots comes into the men’s room while I’m taking a leak, it’s okay with me as long as she keeps her yap shut.

Unfortunately, it’s the noisy fringe who spoil everything.

    • Nephilium

Notice that it’s not transmen going into men’s rooms that’s an issue. I know there’s guys who care (used to work with one when we had two FTM working in an office), we laughed at them and asked them if they were worried that the transmen would have bigger dicks. I’ve also seen women ask if anyone minds if they use the mens’ room when there’s a long line for the ladies. The general answer was, “Nope, but get in and get out.”

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Not just get-in and get-out, but don’t pay attention to the language used.

        All

      • EvilSheldon

I can’t imagine objecting to something along the lines of, “You use the bathroom of who you can convincingly pass as.” That’s probably ‘trans erasure’ or ‘non-binary genocide’ or something…

    • Mojeaux

I have gone in the men’s room when the women’s line was too long/bathroom occupied, and I couldn’t hold it.

Likewise, I would totally forgive a straight, obvious dude going into the women’s restroom if he is about to blow out the back of his pants, so long as he apologizes profusely and skedaddles asap.

With dudes-in-dresses-and-lipstick, however, it’s different. This is a sexual fetish that, to get maximum “euphoria boner” out of, they have to thrust it upon women without women’s consent. It’s not enough to dress up like a girl and still have your weenie and want to keep it. It’s about making women participate whether they want to or not, which is an act of power.

They hate women. They are turned on looking at themselves in the mirror as a caricature of women. They want to force women into their fetish. They want to push women out of their own spaces. And then they turn to male aggressors as soon as the women don’t go along.

      • Q Continuum

    Massacre

The news came by Slack message.

Cruise CEO Marc Whitten, who took the top post in June, posted a message Tuesday afternoon in the company’s announcements channel along with a link to a press release entitled “GM to refocus autonomous driving development on personal vehicles.”

GM, which acquired the self-driving car startup in 2016, would no longer fund the company, ending a mission that hundreds of Cruise engineers had worked on for years.

Minutes later, during an all-hands meeting, Cruise employees learned a few more details. The self-driving car company would be absorbed into parent company GM and combined with the automaker’s own efforts to develop driver assistance features — and eventually fully autonomous personal vehicles. Whether their jobs would be safe or cut was, and still is, unclear.

Did they think they were working for the government?

    • rhywun

the company would come under intense scrutiny following an October 2 incident that left a pedestrian stuck under and then dragged by one of its robotaxis

I said from the start the first such incident would be the last for this industry.

  20. The Late P Brooks

Cruise has been under pressure to commercialize robotaxis — and generate revenue — for years. And at one point, hopes and ambitions were high. In 2021, GM projected that Cruise would have tens of thousands of custom-built Origin robotaxis on the road that could generate $50 billion in annual revenue by the end of the decade.

The company was eventually forced to push back its ambitious deadline, like many other autonomous vehicle startups.

    Aim high.

An interesting theory on why the response to COVID was so crazy.

Progressives have never fully processed Bernie Sanders’ 2020 loss, and his defeat was still raw when the COVID-19 Pandemic slammed society. The Left channeled their grief and anger over the unexpected 2020 defeat in an unhealthy direction, by throwing themselves fully into the idea that if society won’t be persuaded to accept change, it will have to be forced on them through collapse. This was not only so they could rebuild it but also as retribution for rejecting their righteous revolutionary ideas. The social disruption caused by the pandemic provided them a convenient venue. From now on, we would have to live like prisoners in our own homes, we wouldn’t be allowed to celebrate, travel, or enjoy good food and good times. Fun, they decided, was evil because “fun” reinforced, validated, and sustained the evil Capitalist system that fosters inequality and human cruelty.

    • Ted S.

      Bullshit.

Italy went nuts before the US. I distinctly recall suggesting in early March 2000 that panic was a bad idea, and some idiot responded that Italy didn’t panic, and look what happened to them — they had to lock down as a result of not panicking early enough.

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

It mentions Italy, but Italy doesn’t describe how so many US institutions went batshit with rules that had no bearing on anything, dragged it out, and violated enumerated rights, which Italy doesn’t have in the same way.

      • Nephilium

I recall people panicking about it back in late 2019, which seemed like a repeat of the original SARS scare up in Toronto back in the early 2000’s.

      • PutridMeat

Of course the Italian minister (? official?) admitted (? bragged) in a book that he pushed the response, not based on medical necessity but as an opportunity to introduce Chinese style governance in Italy. Maybe, combined with a bunch of GOF ass-covering, our response has a similar root cause.

    • KSuellington

I think that it was more likely that the in apparatchiks in government just believed in China’s bullshit and followed along with their authoritarian “solutions” to the problem that they created together. The high ups knew from the start that it came from a lab and so went into DEFCON panic mode. The proggies just went right along because they are sheep and follow their Dear Leaders.

      • KSuellington

Fauchi and I’m sure a number of others knew that taxpayer money was financing gain of function on coronaviruses in communist Chinese labs. So from the get go they knew that as soon as one of those got out in mid to late 2019 that shit was incoming. They were trying to save their own asses.

I hope 2025 is the Year of the Woodchipper.

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Bernie wasn’t that popular, but all the knuckle heads who wanted him to be president all seemed to work in positions that could and did spin this up. So many of them were “public servants” or worked in non-profits of one sort or another. Anyway, it is a theory, nothing more. And the article covers a lot more ground than that.

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

Agree. It could have been a minor contributing factor, but I surely don’t buy it as a main cause of covid madness.

It was more simply the hubris of Top Men, and their inability to not Do Something.

      • juris imprudent

The Woodchipper has it mostly right, but I’d add one more significant factor. The masses can’t handle their own shit and if you tell them to, they will reject you for someone who WILL tell them what to do. We here are in a bubble of people that don’t want to be told what to do, and it isn’t a very large bubble.

    • The Artist Formerly Known as Lackadaisical

The nihilistic sabotage is kind of impressive, whoever’s doing it.

Jesus tapdancing Christ, hasn’t the world had enough of us saving democracy for them??

Great goodness, the tentacle rape tattoo on the first one. Lord have mercy…why would you get that in indelible ink?

      Incredible.

My kind of girl. For once an inking I can agree with.

Update on my adventures in making sure a certain high profile arrest in Altoona PA doesn’t Epstein himself: So far, so good. Dude is a weirdo. Everyday, when I leave work there are a couple of camera crews set up. People keep ordering food for the guy and trying to have it delivered to the prison. We are getting crank calls constantly. There are so many people trying to put money on his books. And I am personally disgusted with a lot of people that I never thought that I would be, judging just by their reactions to the murder of Brian Thompson.

    • kinnath

You have a front row seat?

      • mock-star

Yes. It’s literally my job, at least for half my shift (I rotate every 2 hours with a partner), to keep the guy under observation.

      • kinnath

        Wow.

        Good luck to you.

Don’t post anything here you’re not allowed to discuss. As interesting as it is.

And should you need to tell this tale, anonymously of course, such things can be arranged. Either as the germ (ewww) for a piece of fiction, or as an as-told-to piece where “the names have been changed to protect the innocent.”

These people are sick. Problem is that they weren’t born to revel in the brutal shooting down of a man in the streets. They were taught this, and it comes wholly from universities.

We need to burn their crops and salt the earth. Academia is the problem.

Pepperidge Farm remembers when people used to keep their murder fantasies to themselves.

Here is my rant on herpes.
It is extremely transmissible. There are essentially no persons on earth not infected with it. The majority of infections occur at birth. Human immune systems keep it dormant most of the time. Occasionally for whatever reason some aspect of the immune system becomes weak and the herpes infection becomes active. It can transmit then. It transmits from open sores at the site of the original infection. Oral, anal, genital, eye…wherever it breaks out is where it originated. (skin with mucous membranes)
This became evident when it was noticed that nursing homes had a near 100% STD rate. Despite the stories about them being dens of debauchery what is actually happening is people have STDs most of their lives and dont know it until they age and their immune systems begin to fail.
Catching a fresh infection as an adult will result in frequent outbreaks for up to around ten years when the new infection is mostly suppressed.
Most of what lay explanations say about herpes (and other STDs such as gonnorhea, i.e. the clap) is mostly not true.
I will confidently predict that we will never eliminate herpes. We may be able to suppress it but until we have microbots that can repair/remove undesirable DNA/RNA we are stuck with it.
Hey microbots – if you are going to make me young again I would appreciate a little work on my telomeres. I want it to last as long as possible.

    Question:

Does anyone here have solid soldering skills who’d be willing to solder up a synth module for me? The built kit is complete, and parts minimal.

Here is a link to build guide. Reportedly an easy build. 4 pots, 4 encoders, 4 LEDs, a screen, and 8 jacks from what I can tell in the build guide.

    https://www.thonk.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2024/11/Cutlasses-Gloop-build-doc-v1.0.pdf

Of course I’d buy the kit and compensate you for your time. If I’m able to get one of these, it will definitely be used in a future Glib piece.
