There appears to be a new sheriff in town. Donny has wasted no time laying waste to the Administrative State. Let’s hope he’s just warming up.

Shall we Link?

Secretary MILF takes over DHS.

I’ll take the bully I know over the slimy weasel slithering in the shadows, playing with daddy’s money.

Hamas releases four more. What’s the over/under on when the shooting starts up again?

Yeah Pee Wee, we all knew.

Speaking of the new sheriff in town.

No doubt it will stop a kinetic weapon.

In that case, I know people that will never be aware of their dementia.

How has that worked in the past? I miss your brother, btw. He was entertaining.

Okay, that’s good for today. Peace out, Glibbies.

There’s no truth to the rumor that Crooks was humming this on the roof top.

People who spend more years at school or in education are likely to deteriorate from the neurodegenerative disease faster, according to the biggest study of its kind.

    Shit.

    • The Artist Formerly Known as Lackadaisical

More proof that ‘education’ is bad for you.

  2. Ownbestenemy

I’m on a homemade pasta kick. Those boxes of $1.99 noodles are tempting at this point

    • The Hyperbole

$1.99?! Get a look at Mr. Moneybags here, buying the fancy name brand pasta.

      • The Artist Formerly Known as Lackadaisical

I recently started doing this. Not sure I see a huge difference, you get more shape varieties though.

  3. The Late P Brooks

“We have to know what we’re dealing with. These people are bullies. And you fight back, you push back . . . I hope Marx and Hegel were right that first comes the tragedy and then comes the farce. I worry it’ll be the other way around, that we’ll look back at Trump’s first term as farcical and this is going to be very bad and tragic for a lot of people.”

    What a preening drama queen.

  4. The Late P Brooks

One thing Russ & Daughters does not offer is espresso. So as we wrap up our lunch, I am reluctantly drinking the same American coffee as Soros.

Poor thing. Suffering the agonies of the damned in her quest for truth.

    • KK, Plump & Unfiltered

MMMMmm…Russ & Daughters. I get a bunch of stuff from them for my dad’s birthday, Father’s Day, etc. every year.

  5. The Late P Brooks

If you know more things you have more to forget.

  6. Shpip

Noem, a Trump ally who was in her second term as governor, received seven votes from Democrats. Republicans, who already held the votes necessary to confirm her, have expressed confidence in her determination to lead border security and immigration enforcement.

Clerk of the Senate: We have sixty ayes. Any nays?

Governor Noem: Am I gonna hear crickets, or are y’all gonna meet Cricket?

    • Suthenboy

So they tricked them by showed her photo and asked “Would or Wouldn’t?”

  7. Mojeaux

We have repatriated Mom’s car to her current abode. Since we have 4 cars in a 4-car driveway, we had to clean out our garage to put it there. It barely fits. My husband has named the car Kermit. I have no idea why. It looks NOTHING like Patrick Mahomes.

Also. I’m cold, sitting in the dark, unable to cover myself or turn on my lights because I have a cat in my lap and we all know what that means.

    • Tres Cool

      Standard-issue pussy joke?

    • Gender Traitor

I know exactly what that means. However, if your cats are anything like ours, give them this stuff and they’ll forgive anything – even being put off your lap after only four hours.

      • Tres Cool

I think I saw “Creamy Treat” dance at The Harem before the twp demolished it….

      • The Artist Formerly Known as Lackadaisical

In keeping with your message above I thought it said creamy teat…

  8. Q Continuum

    “Hungarian Holocaust survivor”

    Wasn’t he basically a kapo?

“his father is also vilified by the right as the head of a global conspiracy, a characterisation that is laced with antisemitic undertones”

Ummmm… OSF funds Hamas sympathizers and Iranian-backed militias.

    “radical nepo baby”

    An accurate description.

One silver lining is that the spoiled scions of these zillionaires are usually completely inept.

    • Q Continuum

“There is no alternative, he tells me, to a two-state solution, in which Palestine and Israel live side by side”

Israel tried that and got October 7 in return. The two-state solution is dead; the only reasonable option is expulsion of the Palis into the Arab hinterland. They have proven that they are incapable of being civilized and it needs to be handled the old fashioned way.

      • Suthenboy

This. Hamas has said so many times for decades. For some reason people wont take them at their word.

    • rhywun

a characterisation that is laced with antisemitic undertones

That is where I tapped the fuck out.

      Eat shit, Financial Times.

      • cavalier973

If I start complaining about banks and banking and bankers, and someone else automatically think I’m talking about Jews, it is that other person who is a racist.

      • Ted S.

The demonization of Israel, however, is totally not laced with antisemitic undertones.

  9. Tres Cool

So I have this ribeye from Sams Club. They allege it’s Prime. Its frozen solid.
Evidently, or so the internetz says, I can cook it frozen.

Sear on both sides and finish in a 200º F oven.

    Thoughts?

    • Tres Cool
      • rhywun

        Another citation

        *reluctant LOL*

      • Shpip

        Even better Citation

        (Unless you’re Thurman Munson)

    • KK, Plump & Unfiltered

Yes – I haven’t done it, but I’ve heard about it. I wonder if Guga (YouTube) has ever done one?

    • Sean

      Will it work? I suppose.

Would I ever do it? Fuck no.

    • Grummun

I saw it done on The Kitchen*. The younger Jeff was demoing the technique and the older Geoff was about ready to come to blows over it. The result was apparently adequate.

*sometimes the wife lets it run as background noise.

    • KSuellington

Would be way better to put it in oven for at hour at 225 and then sear in a super hot cast iron pan for 60 seconds each side. That’s my preferred thick steak method.

  10. Suthenboy

    Secretary MILF. I like it.

It’s true. You cant shoot your way out of an idea. The nazis just will. not. go. away.

I recommend getting as many hostages back as possible then breaking the deal first. Kill them all. If we dont there will be another oct.7 attack.
Let the ones in prison out so they can get back in front of our guns.

Ruebens was gay? Ya dont say!

Speaking of things we all knew. Hopefully with Trump more than the CIA will come out of the closet even if just a little bit.

Speaking of Hamas…everyone realizes they are just Iran’s hired help, right? I am not sure what the flak jacket is supposed to do. He should wear a mask too?

Age related cognitive decline is normal and exceedingly frustrating because the sufferers are aware of it. I was under the impression that dementia was a bit different in that the sufferers are not aware of it.

What is that about Canada? Did they say something?

    • Spudalicious

Dementia starts out just like age related cognitive decline, but it just gets worse and speeds up over time. So you know something isn’t right in the early stages.

      • Fourscore

Age related but the age of onset can vary a lot. 30s-40s not unheard of.

Joe was showing his when he was running for election, hiding in the basement, no press conferences. What kind of politician doesn’t like being the center of attraction. V isery apparent from the early days of his presidency.

    • The Artist Formerly Known as Lackadaisical

‘If we dont there will be another oct.7 attack.’

I mean, none of our business. I’d rather we don’t do a thing.

    • groat scotum

What I like about OK GO is that it’s the last we’re seeing of visual effects for a long while. the Age of AI is upon us, and OK GO renting out a warehouse and hiring loads of people to assemble practical effects dominoes is behind us. Thank goodness I started liking this band right around the time when AI started and I could point to it as the last residue of GOOD THINGS just before BAD THINGS started taking over.

      • groat scotum

It’s funny, my parents are more, what’s the term, au courant? with pop fashion than I am. And I just want to play OK Go at them and tell them to relax.

      • groat scotum

COMMUNITY NOTE: It’s not, in fact, funny.

      • cavalier973

        *immediately stops laughing*

    • DEG

I like Deschutes Obsidian Stout. I don’t remember a licorice flavor in it.

      • groat scotum

Really? It’s like drinking the tears of an angel strained through a charcoal pool filter. It’s very mild. I love it.

    • cavalier973

      That’s really cool

    • Chafed

      That is a remarkable video.

  11. cavalier973

I made nachos for dinner tonight, using leftover taco meat that we had turned into chili.

Tomorrow, I plan to grill hot dogs so we can have chili dogs.

That should do it for the taco chili, and I don’t know what we’re going to do Monday night.

    • Tres Cool

He shoulda ran with “ya know they hired or tried to hire 88,000. Not 80,000 or 85,000. Biden likes 88. The number 88. You do know what that is code for in some white supremacist groups, right? Now Im not saying he’s a white supremacist, but Biden really likes 88.”

      • cavalier973

It’s how fast you have to go to activate the flux capacitor.

It’s kind of ironic that the Delorian’s top speed was 76 miles per hour.

    Breaking Away > Brian’s Song

    Change my mind.

    • cavalier973

      Okay.

      Hear me out:

      Brian’s Song > Breaking Away

      • Tres Cool

I’d agree with you, but then both of us would be wrong.

    • The Hyperbole

Is Paul Dooley in Brian’s song, because if not Breaking away wins hands down, and his cat’s name is Jake.

      • Tres Cool

Wikipedia doesnt note him as being in Brian’s Song. However, he was the Dad in “16 Candles” which should qualify him anyhow.

      • DrOtto

No love for him in Strange Brew?

  13. J. Frank Parnell

Wait a sec… so when Pee Wee got busted jackin’ it in a theater, was he watching gay porn? I don’t remember that bit of info making it to any of the tabloids back then.

    • cavalier973

I didn’t pay attention enough to say.

I will say that “Pee-wire’s Big Adventure “ is a fine film. It was the first feature film any of the main people had worked on.

      They used a textbook script.

They intended for each of the items that Pee-wee buys at t he magic shop to show up again later in the film. The only one that didn’t was the boomerang bow tie. They did film a scene of Pee-wee using it to distract a studio guard, but cut it from the final film.

The score was some of Danny Elfman’s best work, in my opinion.

    • DrOtto

Oddly enough, I recall he was watching “The Naughty Nurse”.

  14. cavalier973

Did anyone else catch the video of Gavin Newsom kissing Trump’s wife, and then kissing Trump’s ass?

    • Tres Cool

      Link?

      • Tres Cool

He looks nervous as hell initially. Melania looks like she’s either there to kill someone or is in protective custody.

OMB: “Unless you dont need any federal help”
Newsome: “We’re going to need a lot of help”

That sums it up, and when I stopped watching.

      • The Hyperbole

Trump is still doing the handshake pull thing even though everyone’s on to it, Newsome, asshole he may well be, ain’t falling for it.

      • Tres Cool

I think the line “we’re going to need a lot of help” from Newsome shows hes a cuck to FedGov. Handshake or not.

  15. Fourscore

Congress may as well adjourn. Trump is doing all the work with a pen. Alert Musk to start cutting Congressional pay and staff and budgets.

    • Fourscore

“Turn out the lights, the party’s over”

      • cavalier973

“Presidential party; no one wants to dance”

  16. The Hyperbole

Secretary MILF? That’s a hard pass. She’s looking a little leathery in that first picture*. Perhaps I’m in the denial stage of getting older but I think I can still do much better.

*and her nose looks like she spent some time in the MMA circuit.

    • Fourscore

She’s pretty close to half my age plus 7. I could never keep up with her and not enough money to attract her.

      • The Hyperbole

½ your age +7!?! I knew she was way too old for me.

    • groat scotum

I knew I blew it with the fucking linking. I KNEW it.

  17. groat scotum

Alright well enjoy some fucking ARCHER I guess when I wanted to share you some MGMT.

    • rhywun

…Is Archer done? Time to pick up a box set finally I think.

      • rhywun

…Except there doesn’t seem to be one.

      • groat scotum

Debdeep from work wants me to know that I didn’t lower the framing around the fucking machine room by an inch, and could I do that by my earliest convenience. The machine room height was reduced by an inch, do you understand? It’s been lowered. When you can, could you perhaps lower your girders and joists to compensate? Debdeep from work wants it.

      • groat scotum

tbh Archer was done around season six or seven. It was a great, terrific run! But the latter seasons when they abandoned the ISIS thing and just started being Archer Does Whatever.

      • groat scotum

The last great season was whenever Bret died

First rain we have had in a year and I have a tournament tomorrow, low 50s, rain and mud. I know it aint back east but its still shitty.
Ill be in MI next week fork work, not looking forward to it,
    TALL CANS!

    • Tres Cool

      HEY YUFUS!

  19. groat scotum

I guess I get why the H1B visa thing. We are a bunch of entitled white assholes. I have this amazing job. I go in, I lower the height of the machine room framing by 1″. Meanwhile, Debdeep (I’m assuming he’s an import, I could be wrong) gets my sarcastic ire. I’m nobody, I didn’t even graduate my dumb associates program, I just started working for this company and they pay me kinda amazing money for what I do. And then I confront the Depdeeps at work, whom I expect are the cream of the crop of India, and also the Chinese women who are the other bete noires of my life, they’ve been imported to San Francisco to tell me all about waterproofing buildings and how the fucking machine room height needs to reduce by 1″.

    • Yusef drives a Kia

Can you say Fuck Off in Chinee?

    • groat scotum

Then I have to deal with Cassidy. That’s a girl’s name, right? Cassidy. No, it’s some soft-spoken (sorry to all actual gays) FAGGOT who cannot actually read my emails, I’m assuming because I’m just some stupid BIM tech and he’s a graduated architect waiting on his license.

I didn’t used to hate people. I’ve always loved gay men. Don’t take that out of context. But when you don’t read my email and proceed to dispatch some bitchy response, sorry, I’m

I lost my train of thought.

      • groat scotum

So yeah I kinda get it. I’m an entitled straight white man who punches well above his weight wage-wise. And the Debdeeps? They’re willing to work hours I’m not. And the Cassadies, well, aside from being named like a girl, they’re good men. Even if they’re not willing to read my emails. No, sorry, scotch that. He sucks. I’m doing his job for him, segmenting the building to make it fit on sheet. I hope he’s paying San Francisco rent while earning San Jose money.

      • The Artist Formerly Known as Lackadaisical

I can barely tell what your saying, I’m assuming you didn’t communicate like this at work, because you’re not drunk there.

      • Sean

        I enjoy the rants.

  20. kinnath

I’m a wimp compared to Spuds and OMWC. 8 drinkers tonight and 7 bottles of wine. Enough to make it difficult to type. 😉

6 bottles of Barbaresco and we finished with a lovely Nebbiolo from Atamura wines (2002).

    Have a great night Glibs!

    • kinnath

Of course, there is at least one typo.

      Altamura . . .

  21. LCDR_Fish

It would be nice if the train company that knew about a scheduled strike would post it in the app so I can be aware of it before I buy the tickets…Unlike ticket apps in the US – I can’t get an automatic refund here (granted only about $2.50 each, but still pretty frustrating).

    https://www.italiarail.com/strike-information

Guess I’m streaming church this morning. Hopefully I can get the housing paperwork done soon so I’m not dependent on these guys.

    ‘Secretary MILF takes over DHS.’

    Holy moly.

You ain’t kidding. Reminds me of this lady I met at karate who mentioned her husband isn’t around during the week and how that makes her unhappy… Sigh. Good thing I have morals or is get into all sorts of trouble.
