Thanks to Brett for covering for me yesterday- Prime had a conference in Rochester, so we took the opportunity to have me come up and meet the oldest of her kids, who lives there. And she’s a delightful young woman (as is her girlfriend), but I was definitely being checked out for suitability. A few hours later, Prime looked at her phone and announced, “You got the thumbs up.” Whew. This one seems to have some staying power.
Other people with staying power show it by having a birthday today, including a guy who tried to make you less perplexed; a guy who shared my appreciation for naked ladies; a guy whose intellect was on fire; a guy who was half deaf; a guy who was true to his source; a guy I would love to send to congress; the progenitor of the Obama/Bush doctrine of secret war; someone who dropped a Duke; someone who fucked everyone; the father of a bouncing baby boy; and someone inspired by Speed Racer.
And with that… some Links.
Whatever it took to protect the grift.
Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite.
It’s a small win, but still, I’ll take it.
“A state that is conditioned for failure.” An accurate description.
If it makes Progs hate EVs, ok, fine.
But… but… but… they’ve been so successful!
In case there was any question that the whole thing is just a circus. Now let’s have the bread.
“He was shocked that he could access the unencrypted and unprotected photos without any password.” Dumbass.
The Old Guy has a particular love for the Father Of Us All, but this clip shows that Mary was no slouch herself. Fun, fun, fun.
“The 100+ page overhaul includes capping state spending growth, consolidating reserve funds, shifting nearly $2 billion from education savings accounts to pay down retirement debt, and phasing out business inventory taxes.”
So no one read it. I don’t know what needs to be done to have shorter laws, but we need shorter laws.
And cut down on billable hours for lawyers and graft for the lawyers-turned-politicians?
Inconceivable!
(Heh… that actually makes me wonder if OMWC is pulling a really subtle joke on us today — since his grandson was… of course… conceivable in the literal sense and all… I know, I know… don’t explain it…)
Yes, and all the various accountants, administrators, etc. There is this massive tertiary economy mostly to fulfill government regulations that produces almost nothing. Having a department of government efficiency is good, but we also need non-government efficiency.
It works on many levels.
Congrats on the continued compatibility.
Happy Birthday STEVE SMITH!
Morning all!
It’s STEVE SMITH’s birthday?
EVERY MORNING, STEVE SMITH REBORN — LIKE TREE IN THE WOOD.
BIG, BIG MORNING WOOD.
STEVE COME SHOW TATER WHAT HE MEANS…..
That discussion likely took the wind out of their sails.
There will be a settlement, with strings attached of course.
““We passed legislation – in this building, in this General Assembly in 2013 – that limited the sale and possession of high-capacity magazines over 15 [rounds],” said bill sponsor Sen. Tom Sullivan, whose son was killed in the 2012 Aurora theater shooting.”
Then I’m sure your reasons were based on pure logic.
a guy who tried to make (((you))) less perplexed;
Fixed it for you. He doesn’t make us less perplexed. :-p
Shouldn’t that be “Boeing for the Benefit of Mr. Kite”?
Sensei from the top ropes!
Damn. Solid from the Gaijin.
Happy birthday Ed Robertson?
Happy birthday Giordano Bruno?
Happy birthday Mike Nifong?
Oh, C’mon. Before I click I am guessing Gavrilo Princip
*clicks, hangs head in shame*
That was the classier historical guess though.
Damn your nimble fingers!
We’re brain-synced on the Duke case too, it seems.
What do we want? Fiscally irresponsible government!
When do we want it? Perpetually!
Seems weird to me… but as long as they’re just honestly protesting (i.e. speech, not intimidation) they’re allowed to give their opinion. I wish I could say I honestly thought this was another “20” of an “80/20” issue… but bread and circuses has been a saying for 2000 years for a reason…
I think it’s fair to predict finally another Summer of Love.
This “mostly peaceful protest” shit is surely a sign.
Too far out from any major election, so… maybe?
Or making up for lost time from last summer, when I was expecting another party.
No need to change minds this time, now it’s breaking-shit time.
I wish I didn’t have to do this.
Now go stand in the corner.
a guy who shared my appreciation for naked ladies
Happy birthday Ed Robertson!
someone who dropped a Duke;
Happy birthday Crystal Mangum!
At least they’re consistent; they were fine with the state cashing in a billion dollars worth of Zuckbucks.
Wisconsin is pretty good about not pulling rulings out of their dairy air.
You’re lucky Swiss is on Sonntagsruhe.
You mean it wasn’t all plucky Pres. Z?
I am shocked.
I am shocked, shocked, that the NYT is printing this.
It’s OK when they print state secrets.
“Amendment 2, which would have rewrote Article VII”
*sighs, shakes head*
Louisiana public edumacation?
Doing a 2-step, while holding swastika signs at a protest was one I missed on my 2025 bingo card.
You did nazi zis coming, ja?
This is like the guy after his 4th divorce finally figuring out maybe he wasn’t just unlucky with women and there’s some kind of underlying pattern…

“The U.S. Census Bureau reports that Louisiana has a voting-age population of 3,536,183 residents”
And all of those changes were defeated by votes less than 200K. Seems they need to have all votes be on the same day, election day.
Or maybe, a state with residents who don’t appreciate micromanagement via fiddly constitutional amendments.
It’s my comment on Louisiana in general. Not… my favorite place.
Figured as much. Never been.
I was there right after Katrina…shithole doesnt even start to describe it
There’s a reason Greenland has only 56K people
It’s a swamp with French people, what the hell do you expect?
Frog legs?
Huh, something Im surprised hasnt hit the news cycles is Trump (or rather agencies) moving payday back to payday (Tuesdays) rather than the Friday before.
I’ve never had a job that Tuesday was payday.
Both of my wage jobs end the week on Saturday and pay on Fridays 2 weeks in arrears.
Justin Welby: I forgive serial abuser John Smyth
Well isn’t that fucking magnanimous of you. But perhaps his absolution should come from his victims and not the scumfuck that covered up his crimes.
He’s forgiving the really important crime, embarrassing someone who matters. He’s being magnanimous! Don’t be petty and harp on minor indiscretions that broadened little boys horizons.
Jarflax off topic, but I made a response re doomed to failure, not sure if you saw it.
Basically, I was referring to entropy, and how if everything is doomed it just means they have a finite lifespan, and it really isn’t failure any more than a body living out it’s existence.
But that just means that the failure in inevitable, not that it isn’t failure. When your eyesight gets worse and worse, or your memory, or your knees, or back or whichever aspect of the aging process you want to look at we say they are failing. The same is true of political institutions. It is inevitable, but it is still a failure when they stop working.
When it is inevitable, it is no longer failure, but, as I said, entropy.
Death comes to everything, instituions, man, whatever. That is the natural state, so when do we decide that something is a failure, when do we decide it is a natural end? This might be more of a semantics issue, but it seems an important distinction to me.
Think of the Mars rover that flipped. That was a failure, not due to it breaking down over time, but to outside forces it wasn’t able to overcome. This isn’t entropy, it is failure. Voyager breaking down over time, unable to broadcast, isn’t failure, it is entropy.
You are using one definition of the word and arguing that my use of another accepted definition somehow makes me incorrect. This is silly and pointless. Nothing human is immortal or incorruptible, when a thing dies or becomes corrupted to the point where it no longer serves the original purpose it can be said to have failed. When there was a moral dimension to that purpose as with a Republic it also fails under other usages of the word as the antonym for success. We can argue about whether this is an example of entropy, or Original sin, or apathy resulting from historical cycles. I’d say entropy is an analogy for the processes, but not the thing itself since entropy is particular to physical reality and this effect is at least partially psychological. The other two choices are just names people have given to human fallibility at different points.
It almost seems that child abuse in institutions has nothing to do with any morality of said institution, but, rather, close proximity to children.
Maybe, just maybe, we should be looking at that, and looking for ways to keep this from happening in situations like that, instead of attacking whatever morality we perceive to be the institution to be having. In other words, it has nothing to due with being Catholic, or a boy scout leader, and everything with spending too much time alone with kids.
Uh….no, it’s not spending time around kids. I am sure out there somewhere are studies looking at the nature of institutions and the character/personality types of people it attracts.
It’s pedophiles optimizing their chance at access to kids. It’s not magic where the institution or exposure to kids makes people into pedophiles. It’s exactly the same thing as a 25 year old going to a night club. You go where the people you want to have sex with are. If you are a pedo that means schools, daycares, youth pastor etc.
Yes, that is a better way to say what I am getting at.
Isn’t electric heat more expensive and inefficient?
Depends on the type and the point of comparison, I suppose. A heat pump in the winter will be more efficient than oil, or probably central natgas. Baseboard electric or electric furnace strips? It’s a space heater on 220.
Space heaters without fans to circulate the air, so less effective.
But a heat pump depends on its source to convert to heat/cooling to be more or less effective.
My little (460 SF) cabin has baseboard heat, we close it down in November.
Heh, my little 750 square foot house is good on a single natgas wall furnace for all but about the 5 coldest days of winter.
If I end up finally putting in a mini split this year, I’ll be curious to see if the heat pump function or the wall furnace is cheaper in the above-freezing portions of winter.
You betcha, circa 1975 I had an all electric home in TX, home of the future. Even in a fairly mild TX winter my electric bill was $80 a month.
They don’t give a shit & I have no idea myself but I can’t think of a faster way to rolling blackouts.
It is double crazy – push more reliance on electricity while holding static (at best) or reducing generating capacity.
It relies on all those offshore windmills that nobody wanted and the contractors have pulled out of building because the economics doesn’t work.
Also various large-scale battery and hydrogen technologies that don’t exist yet.
Thanks for the musical memories, OM. I only wish I still had the 5 tube AM Arvin that could pick up Del Rio, TX late in the evenings
It was the woke elites who ‘purged’ America’s museums, not Donald Trump
It’s the BBC.
And all of America’s MSM.
How bout we atop all government funding/control and let them do whatever the fuck they want (if they can exist on donations/wealthy patrons/ticket/merch sale…whatever) This BS of whichever party is in charge decides every little detail is tiresome, even if I agree with the people in charge.
I hate agreeing with Hyperbole.
It was wrongthink and this is restoring it, which is purging our glorious new truth!
“‘Hotwifing’ is a bizarre new sex trend — but couples swear it’s saving their marriages”
https://nypost.com/2025/03/29/lifestyle/hotwifing-is-a-bizarre-new-sex-trend-but-couples-claim-it-is-saving-their-marriages/
No, these articles are thinly-veiled advertisements for a porn site.
Yeah. It seems like the cuck/hotwife/swinger/whateverthefuck thing has supplanted the incest-is-wincest theme from the big porn studios, and hey whaddyaknow, all of a sudden it’s a hot topic in tabloid sex columns.
It’s the same with the “I made a fortune on OnlyFans” articles.
I have heard a million long winded pretzel logic explanations about how it’s great to step out of your marriage.
It’s not. You gave your word – keep it. Marriage is about a lot more than sex. Generally I would say it is about having someone you know you can count on.
Hotwifing is not new.
Agree that the article is an advertisement for a porn site.

“Californians could soon be voting on a new healthcare law named after Luigi Mangione, the Ivy League grad who is accused of executing the CEO of UnitedHealthcare in cold blood.
The “Luigi Mangione Access to Health Care Act,” was put forward by retired Los Angeles attorney Paul Eisner, who said the sick stunt was necessary to get publicity for his proposal.
The proposed ballot measure would make it illegal for an insurance company to “delay, deny or modify any medical procedure or medication” recommended by a doctor if there could be serious consequences including “disability, death, amputation, permanent disfigurement, loss or reduction of any bodily function,” according to the document filed to the California Attorney General’s Office.”

What could possibly go wrong?
Just like how my car insurance covers the cost of a full vehicle replacement if I get a flat tire.
OFFJFCF!
Every insurance company pulls out of California…?
And they just have to implement socialized medicine! What a surprise result!
And I’m sure it will be as well run and feasible as:
a) MediCal for illegals already (what was it… $30 billion deficit now, I think?)
b) The State Fire insurance program as they drive all the homeowners insurance out….
What a great state California is!
Snark aside — any yahoo can propose a ballot measure, I think… this one isn’t even at the “got the signatures to be on the ballot” stage yet. So probably won’t go anywhere.
I do like the “Mandate that doctors can arbitrarily spend Other Peoples’ Money” approach. There’s no perverse incentives in that or anything….
Every insurance company pulls out of California…?
I’m sure Team Blue imbeciles are working on a way to make that illegal too.
“Make healthcare more affordable!”
“Make healthcare more accessible!”
Price of healthcare shoots up.
There seems to be a pattern here, or is it just me?
Where is my fucking Obamacare repeal?
See also: “affordable housing”.

That might be some people’s kink.
Anybody here A) have tattoos and B) have used Saniderm for after care?
The modern internet and SEO being what it is, it’s like pulling teeth trying to research any damn thing without just getting badly AI-rewritten ad copy.
I’m sure there are tattoo forums out there.
There are, and also several subreddits (blech), but I got a lot of sperg-fighting and conjecture, so I was hoping there might be somebody who I actually know that could chime in. All my non-Glib friends with tattoos either didn’t really bother with any after care because they’re military and didn’t want to look like bitches, or did it the old fashioned way.
Last time I was tattooed (25 odd years ago) they told me to use lubriderm on it.
Seems ok?
That’s the customary method – antibacterial soap and Aquafor for 3 or 4 days, then Lubriderm for a week or two until it stops peeling. Saniderm is a transparent, breathable barrier that’s supposed to allow you to just apply it and leave it on after the first day for 5-7 days, and then the Lubriderm routine thereafter. Nice thing about the barrier is it’s just easier to sleep on and keep it clean. People seem to either rave about it, or absolutely hate it. If I actually go through with my mid life crisis starter kit, I want to make sure it looks decent for as long as possible.
All the tatted up weirdoes that I know usually have that saran wrap looking stuff on there dragons and skulls seems to be the norm around here.
The shop will usually send you home with cling-film that you’re supposed to remove after a few hours. Saniderm is basically the same thing, except oxygen-penetrable. They use the same type of dressing for other kinds of wound healing as well, that particular brand is just more heavily marketed to tattoo shops.
Should I actually go through with it, I’d be getting a Latin quip that I find meaningful on the inside of my forearm. Because I can’t even be cool with a tattoo.
Semper ubi, sub ubi?
Trousers, wowsers?
Eh, what the hell. Unironically: quid est veritas.
As much because of The Master and Margarita (which I believe I read on your recommendation) and Nietzsche as its original source, although I appreciate it on that level as well. I had an 8 x 10 print done of it for my living room book shelf, and I guess it kind of seeped into my subconscious. I drew up a design and had a skin applique printed up to see if I liked it. I did.
I told you not to tattoo your forehead.
IT’S NOT A PHASE, DAD! THIS IS WHO I AM!
I’ll be happy to “help” you pick some cool Chinese characters!

Not Anjin-San! Also young sensei’s gaydar was even more useless in the 1980s.
Richard Chamberlain, TV’s Dr. Kildare, ‘Shogun,’ ‘Thorn Birds’ Star, Dies at 90
Bad month for nonagenarian actors.
Are you saying you did not know Chamberlain was gay?
Not as a kid when Shogun debuted.
The first clue should be ‘Actor’.
Me too, Sensei.
My gaydar was not operational until an embarrassing long time later.
(Have I mentioned choosing my doctor oh so many years ago? In retrospect, I was maybe his only straight patient at the time)
Didn’t know he was still alive. Also didn’t know he was gay when the Quatermain movies were big time rental selections at the video store.
I didn’t know at the time, either. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
The Real Jason Bourne.
Appropriately named it would seem.
Atlanta Rapper Young Scooter Dies At 39 In Accident While Fleeing Police
WTF? Compound fracture that opened an artery? Or shenanigans?
It very difficult to break a femur with your own body weight. Maybe hit his head?
I’ve broken each of mine from falls, no extra weight.
One down stairs and the other, that fucker sicker punching me in Korea. Landed on a curb.
I strongly advise all y’all, don’t break a femur.
That is all.
Sorry, and that’s sound advice.
A “broken hip” or IT fracture is technically a broken femur, but not the kind of break likely to cut a major vessel. When the femur breaks in the middle, and the thigh balls up into a roughly spherical shape, that’s the kind that can kill you.
Ugh. I broke one humerus and that was bad enough.
“….fleeing on foot from police….”
Ok. That is all I need to know.
Didn’t know how to steal a car? No driver’s ed? No license?
Slutty Sunday hates mimes.
https://archive.is/PJ4zl
Whatdya know, there are some actual not-plastic girls in there and not so much with the cheesy scribbles that look like a 5 yo wrote on themselves with a magic marker. Nice.
3, 11, and I don’t mean the band.
Also nobody likes a mime.
DAMMIT, Q!
I was already tempted to help myself to some autoerotic gentleman’s material! Was thinking an extra sock could be handy. I’m in my car. I can do anything I want!
(Was going to joke about a lithe number to my liking, but, wisely, I resist.
This is my stoic moment.
There’s always *some* talent shoppin’ ’round… Just gotta keep your eye straight.
Focus pocus, ev.)
Fuck. New employee is parked behind me. Shes the enticing one I saw the other day. (There’s a flock of us.)
Intriguing…
Lunch break at work. There’s a Wendy’s next door and I pounded. Breakfast Baconator. Pretty much a sausage, bacon egg burger. But special brioche bun! And “Swiss cheese sauce!”
$5 even after taxes here. I strongly, strongly approve.
And damn. That was fucking delicious.
Interesting sight of the day so far: Massively fat woman shopping w a woman who seemed to be her handler, making sure everything went ok. Phys therapist, possible nurse likely.
Only saw her for thirty seconds. I presume all went well! I woulda heard if she fell.
*pounced.
But, oh yes, I pounded.
There’s a Wendy’s and a Whataburger right next to each other, immediately adjacent to the [big box store] where I do merchandising part time, but I’m a cheapskate, and also don’t really do fast food anymore.
Also, people in this part of the world seem to predominantly pronounce it like Watt-uh-burger. Being a carpetbagger, I’m not going to correct them (or let them know that In-N-Out Burger is superior), but it’s annoying.
When my mom was in the hospital, I didn’t have time to cook, and was surprised how expensive fast food is now.
$15 for a wedge/sub/grinder/whatever you want to call it.
Most semi-deals are in-app, so paying with the data mining.
Yeah, a recent visit to McD’s came to like 15 bucks and the food was crap.
“Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) has claimed NBC is allegedly withholding a tape that would show that Lee Harvey Oswald was not the shooter in the assassination of John F Kennedy despite evidence that has pointed to him as the shooter responsible.
Luna appeared on Fox News, where she stated, “I would like to actually tell the American people it was made aware to me this evening that NBC actually has a video that’s never been seen before. We’re actually going to be sending a letter requesting that from NBC, because it allegedly shows Oswald near the vehicle when the assassination took place, which means that he couldn’t have been the shooter.””
https://thepostmillennial.com/anna-paulina-luna-says-nbc-has-a-video-allegedly-showing-lee-harvey-oswald-couldnt-have-been-jfk-assassin
She’s on the right side of the hot/conspiracy matrix.
Hmm. I guess NBC may be one of the Hicksian 12 industrial capitalist scumfucks.
She says “Actually” too much.
The female and Republican answer to Hank Johnson.
Or the Republican answer to AOC?
Spoiler Alert: They do not.
“Under the updated guidelines, judges will prepare pre-sentencing reports where necessary for defendants from ethnic, cultural, or faith minorities, as well as young people under 25, women, and pregnant women. Historically, such reports have resulted in mitigated sentences, including reduced jail time. The practical implication of these changes is that white men, who do not qualify for these reports, will face relatively harsher sentencing outcomes.”

Sad and fucked up if true.
Britain never believed in one law for everyone.
Oh, of course they do. Rule of law for the upper class!
Coin collection coming up for sale
The Traveller Collection, thought to be the most expensive coin collection to ever come to auction, will be sold off over the next three years – with the first sale taking place on May 20.
Whatever the outcome, it is the origin story of this valuable set of coins that is so remarkable.
It features coins from more than 100 territories around the globe, ranging in age from ancient times to the modern era. But what makes the lot, set to be auctioned by Numismatica Ars Classica, even more extraordinary is the fact that the majority of the coins were buried underground for half a century.
According to a press release about the sale sent to CNN, the original collector – who has not been identified – first began buying gold coins after the Wall Street Crash of 1929. He soon developed “a taste for coins with great historical interest, beauty and rarity” and eventually had in his possession around 15,000 coins.
Seems rather a shame to bust up the collection like that.
It happens all the time. Hypothetically, who would be both willing and able to buy all of Jay Leno’s cars?
Yeah, true. I don’t really get the mindset behind collecting anyway though, tbh. My modest watch collection, notwithstanding (and even then I often think it’s kind of wasteful given how little I wear them). Spend your whole life building up a huge collection of whatever turns your crank, and at best it becomes a museum exhibit; at worst, it gets sold piecemeal to your fellow spergs to complete their own collection and perpetuate the cycle.
The Lemay family.
Some of the “new media” faces on the White House grounds have made regular habit of asking out-of-the-box or partisan questions to get a response from Trump.
Many of these reporters, journalists at more mainstream outlets say, are eager to create a soundbite or video clip of themselves posing a question to the commander in chief and eliciting a response or promise to act.
Gauche upstarts.
Organized mass cheating by Chinese students? No way…. I’m shocked, simply shocked.

“How One Town Turned a Child’s ‘Cry For Help’ Into a Hate Crime
After three nooses were found in a bush in Evanston, Illinois, two children were vilified as racist. A family was driven out of their home. Now, over two years later, the parents reveal the truth.”
https://www.thefp.com/p/evanston-hate-crime-haven-middle-school-children-branded-racist
Worth reading the whole thing.
Eggs omelette.
The lack of accountability is exactly what you expect.
Worse, the “anti-racist” perpetrators of the hate hoax were rewarded.
Thank Christ the equity consultant was there to disabuse them of that.
This kind of shit makes my blood boil, but it’s worth the read.
A White House spokesperson, Anna Kelly, said in an email Saturday that the institute “has failed to deliver peace” and that Trump “is carrying out his mandate to eliminate bloat and save taxpayer dollars”.
The letter to employees said that as of Friday, “your employment with us will conclude”, according to one longtime employee who shared part of the communication. A second email, obtained by the AP, said the terminations were at the direction of the president.
Workers were given until 7 April to clear out their desks.
Mary Glantz, a former foreign service officer who was working as a senior adviser at the institute, said she was not surprised by the late-night firings, calling it part of Doge’s playbook.
Glantz studied how Russia has fomented conflicts around the world and analyzed options for resolving them. She hoped her research could be continued and used elsewhere. She said the institute plays a unique role because of its narrow focus on conflict resolution.
“We are the other tool in the tool box,” she said. ”We do this work so American soldiers don’t have to fight these wars.”
Imagine slogging through that stack of resumes.
Spend, spend, spend!
Boos, jeers and choruses of “do your job” greeted U.S. Representative Victoria Spartz at a town hall on Friday in her Indiana congressional district as she defended sweeping cuts across the federal government, the latest such event by a Republican lawmakers to generate loud voter backlash.
Spartz went ahead with the town hall even after House of Representatives Speaker Mike Johnson urged Republican lawmakers to avoid such meetings after some turned into angry confrontations with voters over President Donald Trump’s firing of federal workers and defunding of government programs. Johnson has claimed that Democrats and activists were responsible for the tumult at various meetings.
Why aren’t you wasting our money harder?
Mirror image of the Tea Party confrontations at town halls. Our “reps” need to grow a spine and take responsibility for their actions.
This, and Johnson is stupid for trying to get people to not talk to their district. Get out there and explain what exactly is getting cut, why it is getting cut, and push back on the talking points.
Every dime of spending has some constituency, of course, but I have a difficult time believing that the denizens of East Bumblefuck, Indiana are truly incensed about spending cuts in the diversity office of the lieutenant administrator in charge of administration at the department of redundancy department. This shit is almost certainly staged for soundbites.
Of course it is leftists. Are there photos of these events? My bet is you will see some of the same faces in the protestors.
This shit is almost certainly staged for soundbites.
Absolutely. The people shouting about “slashing vital government services” are astroturf union activists and advocates for nonprofit grift programs.
The post WW2 world order has become an incredibly corrupt, incompetent clusterfuck that has been skin suited by leftists intent on destroying western culture. Like all institutions it operates for its own sake and not for the people it was formed to serve. It is going to be dismantled no matter how much they howl.
I see now a bit by Eric Weinstein claiming that the budding AI industry will be tightly controlled by govt fascism…that is one or two chosen dominant players fully brought to heel. No startups allowed. No independence allowed. That is the plan. I dont think that is going to work out.
” It is going to be dismantled no matter how much they howl.”
I wish I had your optimism. The same voters fooled by the decades of “skin suiting” are going to be the same fools who buy all the media/DNC crap about cutting “lifesaving” government spending. If the GOP can get by the 2026 elections still in first place, then my basic optimism could return.
