The Hat and The Hair Animated: Glibertarians 2022 Anniversary

by | Mar 19, 2025 | Hat and Hair | 66 comments

For the anniversary of this site in 2022 I wanted to do something very special. For the One Year Anniversary Heroic Mulatto hired Internet Sensation Big Man Tyrone to deliver a message to the Glibertariat. I wanted to top that, so I went to one of the sources of inspiration when I created the cartoon personality and performance of The Hat, voice actor Dana Snyder who had voiced Master Shake on the Adult Swim cartoon Aquateen Hunger Force (booked through Cameo). I thought this was a big win. But, alas since most of you are super old, it wasn’t as lauded as I had hoped.

I had written a script for Mr. Snyder and booked him through the website Cameo, where you can pay to have celebrities send you messages. I had booked the corporate plan, which I thought meant I could send some bullet points or a script, but no I just got some random message. The only direction I gave was in the short comment box available, “You are a classy white top hat wishing Glibertarians.com a happy anniversary.” I had this whole script ready where it was revealed this was Hat’s father, but I was never afforded the option to send it. Instead, what I did get was incorporated into this video. He said ‘write me, email me’ but I was given no way to do so.

I watched the “Aquateen Hunger Force” movie because of the Moonite Panic.

Man we have been at this for a while now,
    Bravo!

    • Evan from Evansville

I was thinking the same thing, recently. Atta boy, us.

Really is quite remarkable. Beyond our remarking upon it now. But that, too.

Tonight I learned that it is actually possible to operate a shitty diner in Manhattan.

Back in my day the promise was that shitty restaurants didn’t last long so you almost never encountered one. I guess that has changed.

    • The Hyperbole

I knew Trump was gonna fuck everything up.

    • Fourscore

Rhy, you went back home for a visit? Has much changed in the ‘hood?

      • rhywun

Well, to visit a doctor or three. *snort*

It’s weird because Manhattan is very different from where I lived 23 out of my 25 years here (Queens, Brooklyn) – in the last decade I barely visited at all.

But if I had to point out what’s changed… well, there are bike lanes literally *everywhere*, all the bikes are electric now, and none of them are looking where they are going. (Wait, that last part has not changed.)

    • Nephilium

That must be the reason to live in NYC. I’ve known several restaurants and breweries that have managed to survive well beyond my expectations.

      • UnCivilServant

The downsides are nowhere near worth it.

    • Chafed

Maybe you got in before they could fail.

    • UnCivilServant

Having grown up in a majority black neighborhood, I can attest that as a rule, neoteny fades faster among african americans than european americans. How much this reflects african africans can be debated, but I expect it’s a shared genetic trait.

    • Chafed

I guess race swapping is okay this time.

  5. Fourscore

This is the fifth year? Happy Anniversary to all those that make this thing work every day!

2016, we be be long term good Sir

Tomorrow marks the last day of the Dept of Ed, with any kind of luck. I’m concerned that many of the non-functions will be retained and moved to a different department.

Anything could happen. The blob does fight back, after all.

    • DEG

Massie’s bill is still sitting in committee.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

They’ve still got a few hours to find a friendly judge to slap on an injunction. If not then in a couple weeks.

      • R.J.

        It is very tiresome.

    • Chafed

Trump is approaching this in his typical half-baked way. If he wants to kill it, instead of wounding it, he’ll have to do the work of getting legislation passed.

      • Don escaped Memphis

Mr Trump is a genius, an innovator, a manager of vision and principle. His biography is a string of unpunctuated success and good will. He would have achieved all of this in his first term except that, in spite of his big brain and big hands, he managed to choose a team that did not share his vision, no matter how coherent and consistent it was.

I remain stunned that most Americans can’t sense the greatness of this president, a greatness that is so obvious to our good friends Putin and Kim. Do better America!!!1!

      • Mojeaux

@Don, you made me smile for the first time today.

I strongly concur. Kick ass Thurs, as well.

      Agreed.

A group of us Morley fools are traveling to La Mirada to take on the SoCal boys, yee haa!
The disc golf tournament scene is getting big, lots of fun.

    • Yusef drives a Kia

No, San Diego is Not SoCal

I completely missed this the first time around! Great stuff.

Thank you for doing it in the first place CPRM and for reposting it today!

    • dbleagle

I am glad to see you around these parts HE. I hope your healing goes well.

      • Chafed

Healing? I missed something. What happened?

    • Gustave Lytton

Saw your post and replied but didn’t actually hit submit. Also glad to see you and good luck on the new regimen. Our doggo from hell has done a good job of getting me out in inclement weather. One redeeming feature.

  10. Muzzled Woodchipper

Well, the HS baseball team I volunteer for won the Regionals of the All A State Tournament. 3 games, by a total of 39-4.

Off to sectionals in a few weeks.

    • Ted S.

      State baseball tournaments in March?

  11. dbleagle

I am glad your put this H&H on the rerun schedule CPRM. I remember laughing last time at his obvious discomfort at what he had gotten into. If you are still lurking White Top Hat you are welcome here.

  12. Chafed

    I’m a star!

    • Ted S.

      What’s up you?

    • CPRM

We had 7 inches of slushy snow. Yay Wisconsin spring!

Good morning, Sean, Ted’S., CPRM (Bravo!), and U!

      • Gender Traitor

Very well, thanks! No apparent harm done from the line of thunderstorms that rolled through last night (other than some scattered power outages,) and today’s a virtual Friday for me as I’m taking tomorrow off! 😁 How about you?

      • UnCivilServant

I am going to have to attend the change control meeting today since I have a change scheduled for monday, but my weekend also starts this afternoon.Looking forward to some range time tomorrow. I booked a personal training session so I can get more practice with handguns. I may cook the smaller corned beef from the freezer over the weekend. (It’s been in there longer)

Hopefully, I don’t have to deal with particularly dense people today.

      • Tres Cool

Peeked in on the local news to see what weather you had.
I dont know who that Channel 7 broad is, but I still miss Fried Eggs.

      • Gender Traitor

Oh, yeah – there was also a fire in the strip mall next to the dead Elder-Beerman dept. store, but they haven’t yet reported how bad it was.

  14. Ownbestenemy

This one was a damn classic CPRM.

  15. Stinky Wizzleteats

Huh, just watched the Tim Walz standup routine or whatever that was about Tesla stock tanking because people are vandalizing dealerships and cars. Thank god that fat dumpy dumbfuck’s ticket lost. Cheering for what’s arguably domestic terrorism, I’d call it targeted vandalism but whatever, is a terrible look.

  16. Ownbestenemy

Just as terrible as ole Chucky Moobs lamenting about businessses whining about taxes.

They are adrift right now and probably know that any semblance of their party is slowly being gnawed off by the extreme left.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

Schumer’s whole schtick basically equated to “Those assholes want to keep their money” but that’s just par for the course for NY pols on both the national and state level. Don’t open a business in New York is my takeaway, if it fails you’ll be mocked and if it succeeds you’ll be demonized.

  17. Suthenboy

    ‘Morning all.

I haven’t watched the news yet. I might just keep it that way.

    • UnCivilServant

I haven’t watched the news since… well I might have seen it at a hotel breakfast somewhere, so I don’t know exactly. September?

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

      Good move.

    • Not Adahn

I do listen to the news in the car. This lets me know what the respectable people are believing today. Then I read the lynx to know what the respectable people want me to ignore. Actual relevant news is handeled locally.

      • UnCivilServant

Where are the prosecutions of corrupt officials?

      • Sean

We got Menendez as a token gift.
