Disney Scales Back ‘Snow White’ Hollywood Premiere Amid Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot Controversies

Disney is hosting a Hollywood premiere of “Snow White” on March 15, but the studio won’t be rolling out a robust red carpet like it usually does.

The afternoon festivities will include a pre-party and screening at the El Capitan Theatre with titular star Rachel Zegler and Gal Gadot, who plays the Evil Queen, expected to attend. However, the red carpet will not include the dozens of media outlets usually invited by Disney to interview the cast and creatives at its premieres.

Instead, coverage will be limited to photographers and a house crew.

In case you don’t want to read the article, the controversies of the headline are Rachel Zegler trashing the story of Snow White, the original Disney film, attacking fans, mewling about diversity, and generally being a nitwit. On the other hand, the firebrand Gal Gadot said that the mass slaughter of Jews by Hamas was a bad thing.

On one hand, I completely get it. The Democrat base is young women and they aren’t all that bright it seems (they did vote for Kamala Harris, after all.) But can they really not find anyone other than The Squad to speak for them? Ilhan Omar is a incest-terrorist, Rashida Tlaib is a Palestinian terrorist, Ayanna Pressley is a bald moron, and AOC is a bartender that could probably barely pour a beer. And to this mix of blood-soaked idiots, a new star rises. Is this really working for them? Do they not have anyone except the corpse of Nancy Pelosi, Chuck “Moobs” Schumer, and Adam Schiff, the Creature From the Tard Lagoon, and these STD-stuffed dipshits?

It’s interesting to see the DNC implode so thoroughly. But imagine the Trump backlash (which is inevitable) causing one of these popinjays to be President…

Rumplestiltskin offers up a poison apple

The Trump administration announced its intent to roll back major climate policies Wednesday, including rules that target pollution from vehicles and power plants, in a major blow to America’s progress on clean air, clean water and climate action.

    ——-

Significantly, Trump’s EPA is also preparing to reconsider and strike down a consequential scientific finding that has served as the basis of federal regulations to curb climate pollution. Dismissing the precedent would strip the EPA’s authority to manage the pollution that causes global warming.

The Union of Concerned Scientists said the Trump administration’s actions Wednesday would sacrifice human health for the benefit of private industry.

The rollbacks “will leave the nation sicker and our air, water and soil dangerously contaminated,” said Rachel Cleetus, a senior policy director for the group, said in a statement. “The Trump administration is attempting to subvert the EPA’s mission from one of protecting public health and the environment to that of boosting the interests of polluters and billionaires.”

Cleetus called it “a horrific day” for people suffering from the burden of air and water pollution.

Speaking at a major energy conference in Houston this week, Trump officials questioned climate science and made clear they intend to put Biden’s major climate rules through the shredder.

He’s bulldozing Gaia’s temple and shredding the Holy Writ.

Massachusetts top court upholds conviction of NH gun owner who crossed the state line with a gun

New Hampshire gun owners got a message from Massachusetts’ highest court:

“Constitutional carry” doesn’t count across the state line.

That was the message delivered Tuesday by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court (SJC) in a landmark ruling overturning a lower court’s original finding that the commonwealth unlawfully imposes its strict gun laws on non-residents traveling within the Bay State’s borders.

At the heart of Tuesday’s ruling was the timing of Massachusetts’ legislative response to the 2022 U.S. Supreme Court’s Bruen decision. That landmark ruling declared New York’s requirement that conceal-carry permit applicants demonstrate a “proper cause” was unconstitutional. The court held that this discretionary standard violated the right to keep and bear arms by imposing an overly restrictive burden on law-abiding citizens.

As a result, Massachusetts’ restrictive gun laws are now being called into question.

In the two unrelated cases, Granite Staters Dean Donnell and Philip Marquis were both involved in minor accidents while driving in Massachusetts. When police discovered they had guns in their cars — a fact that would be both legal and unremarkable in New Hampshire — Massachusetts chose to prosecute them for illegal gun possession.

The Massachusetts SJC ruled on two joint lower court decisions, both of which cited Bruen in determining that the commonwealth acted unconstitutionally.

The SJC upheld the lower court’s decision to dismiss in the first case – Commonwealth v Donnell – because the state had yet to update its gun laws in the wake of the Bruen decision when the arrest was made.

But in the second case, Commonwealth v Marquis, the SJC upheld the state’s right to prosecute the Granite State gun owner.

    • UnCivilServant

They really need to go “Fuck you, constitutional carry for all”

      • Dr Mossy Lawn

The state court isn’t going to do that.. They said, the license is available to you (which it wasn’t before).

Now it gets appealed to to the Federal court, which could go either way.. full faith and credit clause? Permissible shall issue?

Massie has that constitutional carry law in the house. NJ and NY has cases arguing that the rules and costs and other things are also an infringement, as we discussed elsewhere a right delayed is a right denied.

      • UnCivilServant

It’s been one day since I filed (and quite some time since I started) and I still don’t have my permission slip… 😡

    • Suthenboy

      “…an overly restrictive burden…”
You fuckheads are strictly forbidden to impose any burden whatsoever. You are criminals.
For prohibiting a person from having a gun see the Fifth Amendment and the due process clause in the 14th. No blanket regulation, permit, law, etc is law. They are crimes being committed by the state.

    • rhywun

NY is flouting the Bruen decision so I don’t see why MA should feel compelled to behave any differently.

Until there are actual consequences for disregarding SCOTUS I don’t see anything changing.

  15. Sensei

    Wow.

After arresting Khalil on Saturday, ICE supervisory special agent Timothy Moran in New York presented Khalil with a notice to appear in a federal immigration court inside a Louisiana detention center. The notice said he could be deported based on section 237 (a)(4)(C) (i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act that says “the Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe that your presence or activities in the United States would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States.” Khalil refused to sign the document.

That’s it. The Secretary of State said so.

This is kind of an own goal for the admin. Having a loud mouthed activist for a cause not liked by normies, but is given leeway due to Freedom of Expression concerns is a good thing, especially when dealing with the totalitarians in Europe whom we scolded so well the other day.

Make us look like paragons of freedom, and give us a hammer to use against them. Now, it looks like we are just as bad. Trump needs to be looking a couple steps ahead.

Speculation on who will run for the Senate seat Jeanne Shaheen holds

After Sen. Jeanne Shaheen’s decision against making another run for U.S. Senate in 2026, potential contenders are beginning to emerge.

Sources close to Reps. Chris Pappas and Maggie Goodlander told WMUR that both Democrats are considering running for U.S. Senate.

On the Republican side, we have Chris Sununu and Scott Brown.

Scott Brown moved to NH after losing to Fauxcahontas, ran for Senate in NH, and lost. I think he’ll lose again if he runs again.

In a Sununu v. Pappas match-up, I think that is Sununu’s to lose. In a Sununu v Goodlander match-up, I’m not sure. Goodlander is a Tamposi. The Tamposi family are major property developers in NH and are connected Republicans.

Disney is hosting a Hollywood premiere of “Snow White” on March 15,

And slightly off topic — while I do expect that to be a train wreck of epic proportions… on the “recent bomb” front — Mickey 17 got panned by the Drinker and apparently isn’t doing well…. did take SDF-7-A to it over the weekend (because I wanted to do something different for his b-day and because I hoped it might be good)… I really don’t think it was as bad as the critics are panning it. Yeah, I was disappointed on a few fronts because I thought there was a lot to explore on the whole topic that they didn’t bother with… but it was “Okay”. Not great… a little disappointing… but I didn’t want the 2 hours of my life back or anything.

Just a counter-point to the zeitgeist that felt appropriate…. I’m sure Swiss would tell me I could have spun it into a review article if I didn’t suck… which I will grant. Hmm…. maybe I could spin something up with what I was expecting given the tech… we’ll see what I feel like on Saturday and if I feel like writing.

      • Nephilium

I was interested in seeing Mickey 17, I’ll probably put it on when it hits a streaming service I’ve got. Just recently watched Hellboy: The Crooked Man (the third, and newest, attempt). They shifted it from urban action to rural horror, no saving the world, just stopping a witch. There’s aspects and the bones of a good movie there, but it was low budget enough that it looks like a pilot for a television show that’s looking for a syndication deal.

On the other hand, I watched Hundreds of Beavers, and damn near died laughing.

Speaking of Pritzker- does he have one of those anti-grav belts like Baron Harkonen?

  20. Mojeaux

So either I’ve got a low-key flu or I’m just exhausted.

Monday, I went to visit my mom in SNF. Apparently, Cunty Aunts Susie and Millie got there first* and she warned me, so that threw my schedule off.

Now, mind you, in the background, I’m taking care of lots of important things for my mom that she doesn’t know about because it’s just taking care of her life while she’s incapacitated and as soon as I do them, I forget about them. But there is one thing that is VERY important to her, which is Bro1’s 2nd child’s bday card which MUST be there on the 21st. (This is child #2 of 4 who “is trans.” I finally understand what “that depends on what the word ‘is’ is” means.)

Mom and I have previously had an argument where I asked her not to greet me with her latest dissatisfaction with my job performance. She was very apologetic and I get it—it’s on the top of her mind and she wants to tell me before she forgets. “This is what LISTS are for, Mom.” Make me a fucking list. Don’t hit me with what I forgot to do as soon as I walk in the door. She was quite distressed when I informed her that this is our dynamic, it’s always been our dynamic, and I’m a little sick of the dynamic.

So Monday, she’s making a big deal out of getting this bday card to my nibling and I’m thinking about 6 different things. I finally said, “Mom, it’s just the 10th!” But this is an uRgEnT mAtTeR and I cracked and ended up thinking I was having a heart attack and went straight to the ER.

Spoiler: I was not, in fact, having a heart attack, but they kept me overnight to make sure.

Anyway, I ended up explaining to all the right people that I’m under a significant amount of stress, and they all agreed not to make comments on my (very high) blood pressure. Also, I take lots of stimulants. Also, things seemed to right themselves after I got a couple of horsepills of potassium. Also, I had had very little sleep in the preceding 3 days. Also, they put me on a low-sodium diet while I was there.

Upshot: My heart is most excellent, I have a little bit of a fatty liver (shocking 🙄), I should probably think about pooping once in a while, and I was congratulated on my recent weight loss.

*So, Cunty Aunt Millie was served (as the month-to-month tenant with no lease agreement) and this upset her so much it spurred Cunty Aunt Susie to some kind of action. She was “unavailable” for 2 weeks bc someone was interested in buying the property in cash, no realtors, and wanted to see it. She quoted them well below market value which she had no right to do, and Mom said she’d never agree to that price, so don’t do that again.

Susie “is willing” to list the house on May 1 with a “coming soon” sign on April 15 as long as I dismiss the petition. Mom didn’t say anything to that because she’s not involving herself in my game plan, but tried to explain that listing != moving out immediately, so do it April 1. I told Mom the petition was not getting withdrawn until the house was listed with no chance of it getting UNlisted, so it’s totally up to Susie. At this point, I’m just sitting back and watching. Susie is bringing the realtor to see her Tuesday.

Today, I have slept about 18 hours and still don’t feel quite right. I think Gatorade is in order.

    • The Other Kevin

As I type this, I am in the middle of a 48-hour spell of wearing a heart monitor. I’m on meds for BP and elevated heart rate, and last doctor visit I mentioned by heart rate seemed high at times. We checked my watch and yes, there were times it hovered around 120 for too long. Hopefully it’s also stress and not something serious, hence the monitor. I had blood work done too, and that all looks great.

Hope you get over whatever it is. Usually when I feel that way, I’m full-blown sick by the end of the day.

      • Mojeaux

Hope all goes well with you. If everything looks good but the numbers, I really would just chalk it up to stress, and heaven knows, you’ve had plenty of it.

      • The Other Kevin

He just wants to make sure there’s not an arrhythmia. I just played 4 hockey games without any trouble, so that’s a good sign. And yes, it’s been a bit of a month for me.

    • SarumanTheGreat

I’m sorry you’re having so much stress. I can sympathize, having worked with a lot of high-maintenance people. Hope everything works out. Agree ‘is willing’ is not sufficient to dismiss petition. You’ve been through that promises promises rodeo too many times before.

      “bday card”

My BIL’s dad was always upset when his son’s birthday card to him did not ARRIVE on his birthday.

He lived in Australia, my BIL in Pennsylvania (later Texas).

Some people are just not reasonable about certain things.

      • Mojeaux

        Thanks.

I get where Mom’s coming from. I do the same thing. It’s Important and it’s on The List To Be Done. It must be Crossed Off. She’s an OCD-addled control freak accountant who’s pretty much helpless at the moment. The only person she can depend on is also the only person she feels comfortable enough to yell at, but is ALSO the only person who will do what’s best for her whether she likes it or not and will NOT stab her in the back. We squabble. It’s our dynamic. But when I tell her to stop doing X, she reels back and she’s apologetic. She REALLY doesn’t want to be like her mother, so I will tell her she’s being like her mother if she actually is.

She doesn’t manipulate people and she always does the right thing and she’s pretty sharp and she’s a nice person inside and out. What you see is what you get. She feels guilty if she makes somebody feel bad. By the time her mother died, she hated her, and I was the only person who would a) understand, b) listen to her, and c) agree that she was right to feel that way (including her sisters, who thought she was wrong and bad and mean).

But sometimes, I have to remind her that while I won’t abandon her ever, that I’m not her, that there are more important things to be done right now, that I do things One Thing At A Time, and that I have a very long fuse and a very short temper.

      • Mojeaux

As for “is willing,” I’d noted Susie always getting her way so long ago that I already knew “is willing” means “never will I ever bend my will to anyone else ever because what I want is paramount to anything else.”

She’s living in this fantasyland where she’s still in charge.

In a post on the 50501 subreddit, which received almost 3,000 upvotes, one protester proposed that activists “keep Tesla on the ropes” by dragging out the process of buying a car as long as possible before cancelling.

“Hear me out, I think this is a creative way to help protest,” the poster said. “If you have spare time, call or go to your Tesla dealership and show interest in buying a Tesla vehicle.

“Don’t be sure about what you want, have them give you all the details, model options etc. and just waste as much time as possible. Give them fake information like social security and your name, and pretend to be bafflingly confused when it comes up blank.

“Keep them on the ropes for multiple days; have them continue to call you back because you just haven’t made up your mind. Even test drive one if you have the opportunity

Sick burn, dude. It would be a shame if you got caught committing something like fraud or identity theft.

    • Suthenboy

The grift and tyranny have gone too far. People are sick of it. Throw all of the temper tantrums you want, we are going to put a stop to it.
If Musk is out maybe Trump will give me a call. If he does you will be praying for Musk to come back in an hour.

No more income tax, no more IRS.
No more brainwashing in schools, no more DOE.
Constitutional constraints applied, no more ATF.
Allodial title and no more EPA.
Fed lands given back to states save maybe one or two national parks that actually have visitors. No more BLM or NPS.
      Shall I go on?

    • rhywun

The grift and tyranny have gone too far. People are sick of it.

What amazes me is how many of these types are full-throated supporters of grift and tyranny that they probably don’t even profit from – it’s just the people who give them their marching orders who do.

      • Suthenboy

        No shit.
        See above: Public school brainwashing.

    • B.P.

“Hear me out, I think this is a creative way to help protest,” the poster said. “If you have spare time, call or go to your Tesla dealership and show interest in buying a Tesla vehicle.”

Spoiler: They all have spare time. Lots and lots of it.

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Seriously, have they met a car salesman before?

Debate over the deportation of the Hamas shitbird on the TV. Free speech debate…how dumb. The guy is getting kicked out for conduct, not speech.

    • grrizzly

What did he actually do? Must be something terribly illegal if the authorities want to deport a US permanent resident.

      • Suthenboy

Organized a ‘protest’ that looked like a riot to me. Disrupt the school, take over property, pushing shoving and intimidating people.
        Disrupt the peace, trespass, assault.
Even the deport advocate on the TV said if he wants to have a sign or yell Yay Hamas! Kill all Jews! then he is within his rights. That is speech. The rest, not so much.

*added to the list – supporting a terrorist organization. I am kinda iffy on this one. Maybe more than just iffy.

    Economic indicator

Three of the largest U.S. airlines have cut their revenue or earnings forecasts since Monday’s market close, with all citing weakening consumer demand.

Why it matters: Indications are piling up, almost by the hour, that consumers — the engine of the U.S. economy — are losing their nerve amid tariff uncertainty and rising recession fears.

Catch up quick: Delta, Southwest and American all warned Monday night and Tuesday morning that their first-quarter results will disappoint.

It couldn’t be because the whole “flying experience” sucks.

  24. The Late P Brooks

What did he actually do? Must be something terribly illegal if the authorities want to deport a US permanent resident.

I thought he was on a student visa. Can’t be bothered to care.

    • Sensei

      Green card.

    • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

He has a green card, which is a bit more than a student visa. Whether he was carrying it at the time of arrest, which they are required to do I believe, is unclear.

      • Suthenboy

The guy has openly declared himself to be an enemy of the US. No one should be surprised that Trump wants him tossed out at any excuse he gives them.
The Dems would no doubt have given the guy a medal and seven figures to continue fighting the good fight.

      • creech

When applying for green card one surely has to agree to abide by certain rules while in U.S. What are those rules? If he broke even one, kick his ass back to whatever shithole he came from.

      • Sensei

Creech, you’d think so. However my 3 minute scan of the application pdf and a few web sites failed to turn up any such attestation.

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Reposting my thoughts from up above:

This is kind of an own goal for the admin. Having a loud mouthed activist for a cause not liked by normies, but is given leeway due to Freedom of Expression concerns is a good thing, especially when dealing with the totalitarians in Europe whom we scolded so well the other day.

Make us look like paragons of freedom, and give us a hammer to use against them. Now, it looks like we are just as bad. Trump needs to be looking a couple steps ahead.

I am a free speech absolutist, or as close as you can get these days. But, aside from that, when I see a good political play being missed, it is just sad to me. Having someone you can point too and say, “look, we even let POS’ like this stick around because we believe in Freedom” is no laughing matter, and would do a lot to shut down his opponents.

      • Suthenboy

Again: This is not a speech issue. The guy conspired with others to commit and facilitate crimes. The only own goal is his. Talk all. you want but when you put your hands on someone, you are out.

      • Sean

Yes. He’s an enemy agent conducting operations against the US on our own soil.

      • grrizzly

Has he been convicted of any of the bad things you guys claim he did (assault, rioting, trespassing)? Has he been charged with anything?

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

“Yes. He’s an enemy agent conducting operations against the US on our own soil.”

Pretty much what the Dems say about us, and did say it about everyone who didn’t take the vaccine. Lets show everyone else that we are the better people.

      • SarumanTheGreat

I believe this is the applicable statute (Copy-pasted from another site):

        8 USC 1227: Deportable aliens

        (C) Foreign policy
        (i) In general
An alien whose presence or activities in the United States the Secretary of State has reasonable ground to believe would have potentially serious adverse foreign policy consequences for the United States is deportable.

        Also

        (B) Terrorist activities
Any alien who is described in subparagraph (B) or (F) of section 1182(a)(3) of this title is deportable.

        Where 1182(a)(3)(B) says

        (i)In general
        Any alien who—

(VII)endorses or espouses terrorist activity or persuades others to endorse or espouse terrorist activity or support a terrorist organization

    • rhywun

I believe “supporting a terrorist organization” is the official explanation given, and it was law before Trump came around. And I don’t think even a green card gets you out of that.

      • grrizzly

Have you seen the evidence that he supported Hamas or any other terrorist organization?

  25. The Late P Brooks

What amazes me is how many of these types are full-throated supporters of grift and tyranny

Same people sputtering in outrage about WaPo op-ed page supporting freedom and capitalism, I guess.

    • Suthenboy

I am glad they at least openly admit their support for slavery.

  26. Suthenboy

Fuck. Now I am snorting trying to get part of my burrito out of my sinus cavities. Just overheard Trump re: The provincial governor in Canada that was going to cut off the power “I told him. Electricity is dangerous. You shouldn’t be playing with that.”

  27. The Late P Brooks

Having someone you can point too and say, “look, we even let POS’ like this stick around because we believe in Freedom” is no laughing matter, and would do a lot to shut down his opponents.

Didn’t Mencken said something along the lines of, “It’s not just the speech of people you agree with which needs to be defended”?

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

Not sure if it was Mencken but whoever it was was right and, yes, this was a stupid move politically as well.

      • ZWAK, doktor of BRAIN SCIENCE!

Even better would be if Trump pulled this guy out of the ICE hopper as the executive and said “no, this is wrong”, and made a big show of it.

The political capital would be immense.

      • R.J.

It remains to be seen. The facts are very much in flux. Apparently he did participate in a campus riot/protest that definitely went far outside the bounds of just free speech. In fact free speech may just be a red herring here. This is based on his actions.

      • R.J.

Also this is tough because if he did intimidate people or block access to buildings (or worse) he did it on a college campus that would not prosecute him for any of his actions (because Joos. Hate it or not, that is a fact on that campus). That makes it hard to prove a case for deportation. Who was hurt? Where is your proof?

    • Suthenboy

Agreed. I am a free speech absolutist as well. I also agree with the three exceptions…which are not really exceptions…that conduct absolutely can be regulated if it means protecting persons. You cant block sidewalks, streets, halls or doorways. You cant put your hands on other people. You cant physically intimidate people who have not harmed you or threatened to harm you. Have your say but keep your hands to yourself.

This is not a speech issue.

That is all aside from his not being a citizen and coming here just to stir shit.

  28. Raven Nation

    Damn it, Real f**ing Madrid.

    • CPRM

      I root for Fake Madrid.

      • R.J.

        Tulpa Madrid?

      • Ted S.

As opposed to Unathletic Madrid, their CL opponent?

    • rhywun

You omitted the happy fact that they lost.

      • Ted S.

Did you see the penalty shootout?

      • Raven Nation

        Real won.

Go Sabres. Fuck Detroit. (Go Rhy!) (As I typed this a box popped up saying (Help me write.” when I wrote those two declarative ‘sentences.’ Fuck you, AI attempts to know what I’m trying to fucking say. Stay in your lane, bitch.)

Went to Sky Zone with my bro and three nephews (4, 9, 11). It’s an indoor trampoline paradise. Bro and I were both gymnasts; traveled and competed. Colin was in the junior Olympics in Florida. (We saw a space shuttle launch from very far away.) We had a trampoline in our backyard, right next to a tree. We had different perches to launch from, if ya could climb to ’em.

Before that I had a Walmart-provided for-free therapy session. (Sorry, this explanation is pasted from a chat with Munchkin):

it’s painful to watch Colin do gymnastic shit I know I CAN do, but have to stop myself from joining in.
but having good time with The Boys was the goal. good solo time with each. i’ve legit set myself up as the Cool Uncle. it’s coming to fruition!
had an hour with a therapist through Walmart. the intro sesh – Fuck. i gotta roll out my scroll of my Broken Shit and explain it all in detail.
necessary but painful. especially when it was all about my worries re my hips. right before I go my childhood paradise, but I can’t.. WON’T join in. (I wanna. So bad. yuck.)

I feel slightly Off. Not worried, but just a tick shy.

Going after the EPA and energy regulations is such a liberating idea, if it comes to pass and however shape it does.

    Go Sabres. Fuck Detroit.
