    The Trump Accountability Project

    Vendetta.

It’s all for a good cause.

  2. Count Potato

Maybe the left can meme, but I doubt it. I wonder who made those.

    • straffinrun

They look to me like something a libertarian would make. *Looks around nervously*

  3. OBJ FRANKELSON

Well guess these meme-makers are huwite nationalist. I have it from the esteemed repository of truthiness and not hate, the ADL, that using this means you want a white ethno-state.

I wonder if these chumps realize that with Cocaine Mitch running the sho (pending GA reluts) they are going to get exactly nothing from thier commietopia wish list? Oh and since the majority of the state legislatures are team red and its a redistricing year. The house majority may get butchered in 2022.

    • one true athena

oh they know. I’ve already read a comment on this Day of Joyous Celebration that someone needs to to ‘snipe’ him. I hope he has protection, because there are gonna be some deranged socialists making like it’s Baseball Practice 2.0 again.

    • Rebel Scum

The people pulling Joe’s strings see the presidency as a dictatorship. They will do as they please and dare someone to question or attempt to stop them.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

      “EOs bitchezz!!!”
      -Joe Biden (probably)

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

        “EOs bitchezz!!!”
Joe Biden (probably) Whichever swamp creature puppeteer has his arm up Mush-head Joe ass.

    • RBS

      Best possible timeline.

    • Count Potato

      The real not-slim shady?

    • Rebel Scum

CNN says Dick Cheney will be advising Biden on foreign policy.

      Peak 2020?

    • rhywun

      OFFS.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

The Unparty is a thing, no doubt.

      • Floridaman

That is what I said, do I think we are getting socialism, no. But the uniparty will close ranks and outsiders will never get in. So you will still have red and blue presidents, and congress will likely still flip back and forth every few years, but like Bush and Obama you won’t really be able to tell the difference.

    • Ted S.

      Saka Khan?

      Does he feel for you?

      • Floridaman

No, but as. rule I try to spend as little time on twitter as possible, I heard cheney mentioned in another forum went to twitter, and pulled a random one from the list talking about it.

      • Tres Cool

Fun fact- Chaka Khan appears in this Big Audio Dynamite video (and a couple others)

      • Tres Cool

Nevermind. Thats Neneh Cherry. Id apologize, but I just woke up.

      • rhywun

Well, that is a blast from the past. I think I had that on cassette.

    • hayeksplosives

I know the make and model if his implantable cardiac defibrillator; I also happen to tinker with high powered RF pulses.

Just need to get in range…

      • one true athena

I think we can put together a team. All Libertarian Women – we’ll be invisible!

        foolproof!

  4. DEG

Know Your Meme page on the pictures.

It says the origin are left wing users. Interesting. I see a Mauser C96 being properly loaded in the “Day of the Rope” cartoon. I didn’t a left winger would know what one was except maybe as “Han Solo’s Blaster”, which Han never loaded.

    • OBJ FRANKELSON

Yeah broom handle Mauser is an odd choice.

      • DEG

Even more of an obscure reference for a left winger.

      • Heroic Mulatto

Have you never heard of the John Brown Gun Club? Redneck Revolt? Socialist Rifle Association, etc.?

      • DEG

The videos I’ve seen of the John Brown Gun Club in action show people that don’t know much about guns. Maybe I just picked the wrong videos.

I’ve heard of Redneck Revolt but paid no attention to them.

Socialist Rifle Association is a new one.

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

Granted, but the “guns are icky” sentiment runs deep on the left. See the reaction when the Seattle Police Chief was wearing “tactical” body armor with magazine pouches and the like (more protection than the last-chance vest police wear most of the time). This was during the “CHAZ/CHOP” nonsense and the accompanying ACAB hysteria at the time, it is perfectly rational for someone that is squarely in the lunatics’ crosshairs to take measures to protect oneself. The fact that these idiots considered this as a tenable line of attack tells me that the leftist, by and large, not particularly firearms savvy.

      • Heroic Mulatto

No doubt. But it’s equally a mistake to assume they are all effete Eloi who will wilt like flowers during the Boog.

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

        Fair enough.

      • DEG

I always expected things would get ugly during a Boog.

      • DenverJ

Oswald was a marine sniper, and a communist.

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

Internecine warfare is not known for its attention to civility.

      • Tejicano

Oswald was never a sniper in the military. He barely passed the rifle range the last time he shot it.

    • EvilSheldon

Day of the Rope is a reference straight out of The Turner Diaries. The chance that a leftist made those memes is zero.

  5. DEG

    From an earlier thread:

S.E. D-Cupp used to be sane.

This led me to do some digging. S. E. Cupp announced on twitter that she actually wears a C cup.

    • DEG

Oops. Screwed up the tags. Only

S.E. D-Cupp used to be sane.

      should have been quoted.

    • Count Potato

Wasn’t she an atheist who wrote a book about religion?

      • DEG

She’s an atheist. She studied religion in college. She wrote a book about the media’s attacks on religion.

      • J. Frank Parnell

I remember back when she was “the atheist conservative” there was a movement by a bunch of leftists to dig shit up to “prove” that she wasn’t actually an atheist.

    • Heroic Mulatto

She was never sane. She wrote a mouth-frothing screed against Ron Paul because he didn’t want to kill enough brown children.

      • Rebel Scum

I must not have seen that.

      • Rebel Scum

Idk about the other retarded references but I assume president Paul would execute a war against Nazi Germany seeing as Nazi Germany declared war on the US.

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

I do actually find myself a bit conflicted in regard to at least some of the foreign policy stuff. I am opposed to the forever wars and the like. However, I do see the merit in the concept of the world needing a, for lack of a better term, hegemon of sorts. If the United States were to retreat into itself, there are any number of nations that will gladly fill the void of doing things like protecting shipping lanes, being the adult in the room for peace talks, etc. and the nations that are positioned to fill that void are considerably less concerned with liberty and freedom (however low our demonstrated level of interest is, China’s and Russia’s is considerably lower). What we are doing around the world now isn’t acceptable, but going full isolationist is not either.

      • Viking1865

If the US Navy wasn’t shielding the shipping lanes endlessly, then large companies would see advantages in building more factories in the US.

The US is blessed with the size, diversity of climates, and natural resources to never really need foreign trade. Foreign trade is a wonderful thing, and I am not advocating that we stop trading with foreign nations.

But one of the largest subsidies in existence is the Pax Americana, because it allows big corporations to manufacture overseas, secure in the knowledge that the American War Machine will protect their investments and their supply lines.

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

Interesting point, I might argue that the US Navy patrolling sea lanes such as the Arabian Sea, has the knock-on effect of deterring bad actors from going after shipping or otherwise starting shit in general.

      • Viking1865

Interesting point, I might argue that the US Navy patrolling sea lanes such as the Arabian Sea, has the knock-on effect of deterring bad actors from going after shipping or otherwise starting shit in general.

The Navy giving the Gulf Arabs an umbrella to ship their oil all over has lead to literally billions of dollars being dumped into terrorists over the decades.

Look at how quickly the Saudis have about faced on funding their radicals and giving them free reign now that the US is the world’s largest oil exporter. They don’t have the oil cash to hand out to the extremist mullahs and madrassas any more, and they have started cracking down on them in their own country.

You can’t start shit without money.

      • rhywun

Good conservatives recognize a need for limited government, but they also know that America has an obligation to spread democracy and promote international security.

        So… not-limited government. Gotcha.

      • dbleagle

Nope. If you want to spread democracy in Rwanda, Bosnia, Libya, Syria, or any any shithole country. YOU form a new Lincoln Brigade and fight as a private citizen.

The US military should be defending vital national interests. That is the ideal those people volunteer for. (Are they naive? Of course they are.)

      • hayeksplosives

        You tell ‘em, Sir!

      • Heroic Mulatto

Rwanda is quite nice now. Kigali is an economic success story. I might write about that one day. Botswana, too. A country that continues to have one of the fastest-growing economies in the world – from a per capita GDP of 60 bucks and an almost 99 percent illiteracy rate in the 1960s to being an educated, multiethnic upper-middle income state – thanks to the magic ingredient of capitalism and a strong culture against corruption.

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

Were a decent number of Americans that went over to fight with the Kurds in Syria and N. Iraq, the same goes for WWII pre-Pearl Harbor, a non-zero number of American pilots fought in the battle of Brittan. The Irish Brigade in Mexico was considerably less effective.

In any case, the problem lies in how you define “vital interest” if you were to listen to the likes of Ben Shapiro and Lindsey Graham, you could justify nearly anything as vital. See my comment above about needing to strike a balance between what we are doing now vs. what we did in the interwar years.

      • Viking1865

The conflation of “democracy” with liberty and/or the protection of human rights/minority groups always makes me laugh.

Rwanda was democracy in the same way the Athenians democratized the Melians.

      • Gadfly

Rwanda is quite nice now. Kigali is an economic success story. I might write about that one day.

That would be an interesting article. From what I gather, Paul Kagame is in the mold of an Augusto Pinochet or Park Chung-hee – steering his country into a shared prosperity while using less than savory means to govern.

We must never forget those who furthered the Trump agenda.

Dialing back Americas involvement in foreign quagmires? Lowering taxes? Eliminating regulations resulting in an economic boom? Enforcing immigration laws that have been in existence since at least the 90s? Negotiating peace in Serbia and the middle east?

Sounds like a lot of “fascism” to me.

    • Mostly Peaceful JaimeRoberto

Don’t forget all the power he grabbed during the pandemic. And all the court orders he complied with.

    • Heroic Mulatto

One of those things never happened.

      • Rebel Scum

Peace in the middle east? I was referring to the Israel/UAE(and others) situation.

      • R C Dean

Nah. Enforcing immigration laws. Hawaii District Court, 9th Circuit FTW!

Hard to know what to call the Abraham Accords, since signatories weren’t actually shooting at each other.

“we find only one deregulatory action for every one action labeled as regulatory”

That sounds like a huge improvement to me.

      • Heroic Mulatto

As the study points out, credit where credit is due, it is an improvement compared to past administrations. But it’s also just been moving the regulatory pain from favored demographics to unfavored demographics. I’m not going to suck his dick over that.

      • Not Adahn

Fucking over people you don’t like is the entire point of politics!

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

The thing that will bother me the most is the reversal of the moves he and Betsy DeVos made to push the woke crap out of the Academy,

  7. Rebel Scum

But those who took a paycheck from the Trump Administration should not profit from their efforts to tear our democracy apart. The world should never forget those who, when faced with a decision, chose to put their money, their time, and their reputations behind separating children from their families, encouraging racism and anti-Semitism, and negligently causing the unnecessary loss of life and economic devastation from our country’s failed response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

There is too much here to break down. I’d have to write an essay going sentence by sentence. Mighty fine (and false…) narrative they are sticking to.

    • Raven Nation

It really is getting troubling that there are even a handful of people who seriously think this is a good idea. I wonder if they realize how Stalinist this sounds?

DC Elites are eager to return to “business as usual.”

The 70 million Americans who voted for @realDonaldTrump are not moving on just because the media says so. Serious election integrity concerns (read Alito’s opinion) in several states that the media should be investigating.

      LOL Mitt

We are getting so many Grand Bipartisan Compromises that do things that are both Stupid and Evil.

      • Gadfly

If they vote for Mitch as leader, I believe he can use procedural means to prevent bills they might go soft on from even reaching the floor. He kept the Garland nomination from ever reaching a vote, I’d imagine he could do the same to tax hikes and the Green New Deal.

  13. Rebel Scum

    Ok, calm down, Donald.

71,000,000 Legal Votes. The most EVER for a sitting President!

  14. creech

Rewind to February 2020. Trump goes on national tv and announces that China has let loose, deliberately or inadvertently, a dangerous, deadly virus on the world. He cites health experts and scientists who agree with him. He says he has called a meeting of all the U.S. pharmaceutical companies to rush vaccine research. He releases the CDC stockpiles of PPE, noting that Obama had let them run down and not replaced them nor had the bureaucrats at CDC ever informed him. In any case, he is authorizing funds for U.S. firms to produce more ppe and test kits on a crash basis. He suspends travel from countries already experiencing outbreaks. He calmly but sternly assures the U.S. population that we will all get through this crisis eventually but that, thanks to the Chinese commies, there will be deaths and economic suffering. He recommends that Americans begin wearing masks, washing hands, and social distance, and asks governors to take steps to isolate virus victims. The media and their DNC subsidiary go batshit nuts that Trump is a racist, fascist dictator, that he’s just trying to boost his re-election prospects by scaring people with a phony crisis, it’s a Republican hoax, that scientific studies show masks aren’t effective. Wearing a mask becomes a badge of honor for Trump supporters; those going maskless are unpatriotic and victims of TDS. 225,000 deaths later, the media is calling it a “bad flu season.”

I bet Trump is sitting there tonite telling Melania he wishes he could have a do-over of February 2020.

    • grrizzly

Shove your mask up your cunt, creech. And fuck social distancing.

    • grrizzly

Promoting public health totalitarianism is evil even if it had been done by Trump.

      • creech

True, but I’m saying it probably would have saved him as his enemies, the media, piled on him and many of his supporters rose to defend him.

      • Bobarian LMD

        ^^This.

  15. Rebel Scum

    Fuck off, Twatter.

THE OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED INTO THE COUNTING ROOMS. I WON THE ELECTION, GOT 71,000,000 LEGAL VOTES. BAD THINGS HAPPENED WHICH OUR OBSERVERS WERE NOT ALLOWED TO SEE. NEVER HAPPENED BEFORE. MILLIONS OF MAIL-IN BALLOTS WERE SENT TO PEOPLE WHO NEVER ASKED FOR THEM!

This claim about election fraud is disputed

  16. Count Potato

“Any R now promoting rejection of an election or calling to not to follow the will of voters or making baseless allegations of fraud should never serve in office, join a corporate board, find a faculty position or be accepted into “polite” society. We have a list.”

HM, I’m ready for the half-black pill.

      • Gadfly

Huh, I only now realized that those were two separate things, despite the fact that House Un-American Activities Committee should have tipped me off that it was not the same thing as Senator Joseph McCarthy’s investigations. Given that the House was controlled by the democrats from 1932 – 1994 (excepting 4 years), that means the Democrats did indeed run it practically the entire time (1938-1975!)

      • J. Frank Parnell

        That was different.

McCarthy was a bad person who targeted people who were good.

These are good people targeting people who are bad.

    • Rebel Scum

The next few months should be interesting. Trump, himself, does not do anything small*. And this type of rallying is not something I have seen before. I think we are at an impasse as a country.

*I maintain that, at a minimum, there will be some sort of information dump before inauguration day if Trump does not succeed in court.

      • R C Dean

By who? Trump personally? Or will the #resistance have a sudden, tearful change of heart?

      • Count Potato

I’ve never seen any of this shit before. Everything about this election is very abnormal.

Also, instead of all STEM all the time, why don’t we just teach rhetoric, logic, history, and philosophy again? You know, the tools the Greeks and Romans developed as a prerequisite for a participation in a civic republic.

      • LemonGrenade

That would be amazing. The current state of education is a mess and if we worked towards teaching kids how to think instead of what to think, nothing but good can come of it.

      • Count Potato

I’m all for teaching trivium, metaphysics, or whatever you want to call it.

Regardless, I don’t see how schools are “STEM all the time”. Although, I do see plenty of leftist indoctrination.

      • Heroic Mulatto

Regardless, I don’t see how schools are “STEM all the time”

Do you have a kid in the system currently? Look at the homework they’re bringing home….or being emailed, I guess during these times.

Then read all the works by the late, great John Taylor Gatto to understand why.

      • LemonGrenade

For my children it’s been about a 50/50 mix of STEM stuff and social justicey and anti-racism bullshit. Some of the handouts that were sent home sent me into sufficiently acid rants about how government is NOT the solution, that my husband ended up taking over for me, because he tolerates the bullshit and handles rubbing blue mud in your belly button slightly better than I do.

One of the handouts VA sent my elementary school daughter home with explained how people help and are part of the community, and every single example they cited were government positions or non-profits. Nothing about local businesses or entrepreneurs or how civic or religious organizations work to help out the community. Just government employees and people who support government employees. Nothing about efforts by individual citizens. I get mad every time I think about it again.

      • Ted S.

And nothing about how the businesses and entrepreneurs pay the taxes that support the parasite sector, I presume.

      • DEG

        Fuck.

      • LemonGrenade

Not a word. Not even a casual mention of the number of businesses that sponsor local school clubs or sport activities. The Tuttle Twins series might have been heavy handed, but my daughter’s wide eyed response when she finished ‘The Tuttle Twins Learn About the Law’ and said, “The government can be the bad guys, too” made it worth the purchase.

      • rhywun

My freaking HS, a public “magnet” school, was openly supported by the likes of Kodak and Xerox – with serious dollars – and nobody batted an eyelash. My how times have changed.

      • blackjack

My kid’s in second grade. During a “zoom” class, there was a BLM facemask thumbtacked onto the white board. The camera made sure to linger on it for a while as it showed the assignments. Second fucking grade! Imagine if it were a MAGA hat?

      • Count Potato

“Then read all the works by the late, great John Taylor Gatto to understand why.”

        That’s just too much work.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

Sure, a good classical education would benefit a lot of people and would encourage independent thinking (so it’ll never be done).

      • Heroic Mulatto

        (so it’ll never be done)

        Now you’re cooking with gas!

      • Jarflax cancelled Cancelled

I think there is a degree of optimistic thinking in thinking you can give the population as a whole a classical education. It requires some basic level of native intelligence.

      • Heroic Mulatto

The Greeks recognized that there were different levels of education needed based on one’s station in life, thus the curriculum of the Progymnasmata.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

I agree, many who aren’t temperamentally inclined should just learn a skill. Almost all could gain something from sort of a remedial classical education as a supplement though.

      • LemonGrenade

If I recall correctly, that’s exactly what they did in German schools. There were different tracks based on your scores and intended career. Which is only sort of carried over in post-secondary education in the USA with colleges and trade schools and certifications. At the high school level, at least, the majority of public schools have been pushing college prep over any other track for decades. I’d love to see more apprenticeship programs and a renewed interest in trades at the high school level. It would serve a lot more people (including my own son) better.

      • Heroic Mulatto

I wouldn’t be so keen to see more of the Prussian school system in the US. We can have a panoply of options without intense, government-mandated testing and tracking. We need a cultural shift in which options other than a 4-year college are acceptable to the middle-class.

      • rhywun

We need a cultural shift in which options other than a 4-year college are acceptable to the middle-class.

I dunno about Prussia, but that’s reality in current Germany. There are Gymnasien for the college-bound set and Realschulen for trades and one or two others I forget. Yeah, they track early but it’s easy to switch tracks later.

      • Viking1865

“Yeah, they track early but it’s easy to switch tracks later.”

Is it? My general impression of the European model of higher education was

“Yes, college is free, but only the top 20% of the students get to go.”

These comments are the closest I get to ‘social media’ usage. Well, the comments and my Pornhub account.

My life is quite fulfilling. (Mostly due to the Pornhub account)

      • Count Potato

I never had one either, but it’s existence hardly depends on you using it.

      • Count Potato

And why was social distancing soooo important at Biden’s events before the election, but not now?

    • Rebel Scum

Odd that leftists are now ok with the American flag such that they are waiving several around…

      • LemonGrenade

Now that they think they got rid of the evil white nationalist racist in office, it isn’t a symbol of hate any more.

        nvm

        NBC is going there too.

      • Nikkodemus

Baylor/IA State did not cut to Biden.

  19. LemonGrenade

Is the Biden campaign really playing ‘Let’s Go Crazy’ by Prince?? Holy shit.

  20. KSuellington

I plan to do the same thing for the Bidenhertime presidency as I did for the Obama presidency. By the time he got his second term I couldn’t stand the sound of his smarmy know it all professor routine and so I avoided it completely. I don’t watch tv at all anyway save for some prerecorded F1 so it is quite easy. Every time it came on the radio I’d change the station quickly. I think I maybe heard about five or six complete sentences from him his entire second term.

    • LemonGrenade

The one thing I will NOT be doing, is recording a video of myself melting down about the results, either way. Because that’s stupid and just weird and I don’t understand why people do that. I’ll move on with my life with minor bitching, and continue to work towards getting to a small enough town in the middle of nowhere that I’ll be somewhat insulated from our descent into insanity for a while more.

      • KSuellington

Indeed, it’s all about agorism. Whatever you can control in your own life to attain your freedom do it. We are also going to be focusing on where we can buy our bug out/retirement land. Plus there is going to be plenty of opportunity to make fun of drooling idiot in the WH and enjoy some proggie meltdowns as they soon learn that they are not going to get very much of what they want (at least at the Federal level).

      • LemonGrenade

Right now, Woodward, OK looks like my ideal spot. It’s in the middle of nowhere, it’s pretty, it’s a good two hours from any major city, but it’s large enough to have almost every trade an area needs to survive. Plus it’s only a few hours from my mother and mother in law, which will make taking care of them in their declining years simpler.

      • rhywun

*tells all my friends about Woodward, OK*

      • LemonGrenade

Yeah, they’ll love my mother and mother in law!

      • KSuellington

Right on. I have never been to or even considered Oklahoma a place to move to. Maybe it’s because I’m imagining it as flat, and I need mountains. We are thinking somewhere mountain west or out of the country as both wife and I have Euro passports as well as US.

      • LemonGrenade

I always wrote off OK previously because of their education system, but coranapanic exposed the public school systems almost everywhere as a joke, so VA completely loses the benefit there. They have some of the loosest homeschooling laws in the country, pretty low taxes, and while yes, vast stretches of OK are flat and as boring as fuck, but as you get closer to CO/NM and/or AR/TX, OK gets a lot more interesting. And there’s tons of lakes. Also, it’s centrally located in the US which makes vacation trips anywhere in the US a bit easier (compared to living on the East coast).

      • KSuellington

Cool, I hope you find a nice place there or somewhere more liberty minded. Yeah, the schooling thing is a bummer. We just got our three accepted into the Catholic school a couple blocks away that is starting full time classes in a week.

    • rhywun

TBF, I did the same with Trump too. Can’t stand to listen to him. And I will do the same with Biden and Harris – starting now, apparently.

It’s almost like they’re all transparently repugnant individuals or something.

      • LemonGrenade

The last politician I didn’t mind hearing speeches from was Reagan. I liked his cadence and delivery. I’d rather read the transcripts from the rest.

      • KSuellington

I could stand Trump in small doses as he could amuse me. And the “non Presidentialness” of his more unscripted stuff could be fun. But yeah, a handful of minutes was more than enough.

      • Viking1865

Trump is grating and obnoxious to listen to. The reason Obama was popular and well liked, even among his opponents, is that he just looks and sounds the part. He says all the right things, in just the right ways.

You have to look at his actions, not listen to his words.

If all you did was listen to his words and his tone, you’d think he was a moderate, logical, principled leader who respected his opponents and honored their rights.

      • KSuellington

Exactly, if Team Stupid can learn anything from Trump it is that he had a message that really could pull some votes in. If they can get someone a bit more polished to deliver it who would also not shy from a fight (but not be so crude in doing so) they would have gold.

      • Ted S.

If that last paragraph is supposed to be about Obama, all I can say is “yeah, right”.

    • DEG

The writing on #1’s bra led me here.

      #2 is cute.

      #4. Wow.

#8 was in this morning’s gallery. I still think she is Beth Lily.

      #9. Hello.

      #13 is the RealDoll.

Why is #20 wearing her grandma’s panties?

#28 – Are they old enough to be in this gallery?

      #29 – A unicorn!

#32 looks like she is going to kill someone.

      Overall a good gallery.

    • Rebel Scum

      10. And 15 looks like she is mad at me but I can work with that.

      Also, 35.

    • Ted S.

The first one isn’t satire, unfortunately.

  21. Count Potato

Anyone have a recommendation for movie? I need to get off the computer for a couple hours.

    • Ted S.

If you’ve got TCM, It’s Trad, Dad! (aka Ring-a-Ding Rhythm) is coming up at 9:45 ET after A Hard Day’s Night. A really fun look at an interesting period in rock and roll history just before the Beatles hit it big.

    • Rebel Scum

Assmasters 7. The story is solid but it leaves a lot of loose ends.

      • blackjack

I heard it has a shitty ending.

      • Mostly Peaceful JaimeRoberto

I don’t know. I thought the plot had a lot of gaping holes.

      • But Enough About My Wild Culinary Fantasies

        Booooooooooo!!!

      • J. Frank Parnell

You need to watch Assmasters 1-6 first though or the story won’t make sense.

I need to get off the computer for a couple hours.

      I don’t follow.

    • KSuellington

When was the last time you saw Fitzcarraldo? If not, why not?

I’ve been also going through all the Connery Bond movies (for about the fourth time each). You Only Live Twice has a ton of great one liners.

      • KSuellington

The Man Who Would Be King is getting a second viewing tonite I think as the first time was more than a decade back.

      • rhywun

BBC-A was doing all the Connery Bond movies the other day but they’ve gone back to nature shows again tonight.

      • KSuellington

Netflix has a few of them

      • Count Potato

        “Fitzcarraldo”

OK, I’ll go watch that. Love Herzog, and I’ve never seen it.

      • KSuellington

If you dig Herzog, I think it’s one of his best. And Klaus is, obviously, magnificent as a man possessed with a dream that he will persue at all costs. Hope you enjoy!

Yup, love both of those, but Romancing is a real classic. My 11 year old self was in love with Kathleen Turner in that flick.

      • Ted S.

And then you grew up and saw her in Body Heat….

      • KSuellington

Yes, I did and I haven’t seen that one in over twenty years. Hmm, wonder if I can find it.

On the way, we got into a wreck on the highway, then fled scene. After the concert, which was great, we hung out at our friend’s parents gorgeous lake house (who parents weren’t home) that had this massive audiophile sound system. It was one of the best times I’ve ever had. I miss those guys. I wonder where they are now?

It doesn’t sound so retarded now, to be honest.

      • DenverJ

Yup. That’s why I’m so pissed. What happens now if the Supreme Court reverses the PA Supreme Court? Rioting, that’s what. At least. If Trump does end up winning, which is a district possibility still, they’ve already set the narrative that he stole it again. And, of course, it’s his fault. Course, reckon they gonna riot if Biden loses, anyhow.

      • LemonGrenade

Any way Trump won, they were going to riot. I dealt with four years of ‘selected not elected’ in Bush, I can do it again in Trump if the Supreme Court is the one that stops the madness. There is no republican president, ever again, that will be accepted as the legitimate winner by the other side. They’re either compromised by foreign influences, or won illegitimately forever more. Just like anyone who is not explicitly anti-racist is now a racist. You just gotta learn to ignore it and keep living your life.

    • Rebel Scum

Going hard on the “clear victory” message while litigation is underway…

Also, it looks like they are trying to do this “every man – Joe/Kamala” thing having a lot of pickup trucks and American flags. I saw countless pickups with Trump/American flags while out and about and never one with a Biden flag.

Ya’ll laughing, but it’s already true.

        OSCE election monitoring
On the invitation of the US State Department, the OSCE’s Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR), which has been monitoring US elections since 2002 (as it does for major elections in all other OSCE member countries), sent 102 observers from 39 countries.[401][402][403] The task force consisted of long-term observers from the ODIHR office (led by former Polish diplomat Urszula Gacek) deployed to 28 states from September on and covering 15 states on election day, and a group of European lawmakers acting as short-term observers (led by German parliamentarian Michael Georg Link), reporting from Maryland, Virginia, California, Nevada, Michigan, Missouri, Wisconsin, and the District of Columbia.[401][403] Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it was scaled down to a “limited election observation mission” from the originally planned 100 long-term observers and 400 short-term observers.[401]

An interim report published by the OSCE shortly before the election noted that many ODIHR interlocutors “expressed grave concerns about the risk of legitimacy of the elections being questioned due to the incumbent President’s repeated allegations of a fraudulent election process, and postal vote in particular”.[401][404] On the day after the election, the task force published preliminary findings,[402] with part of the summary stating:

The 3 November general elections were competitive and well managed despite legal uncertainties and logistical challenges. In a highly polarized political environment, acrimonious campaign rhetoric fuelled tensions. Measures intended to secure the elections during the pandemic triggered protracted litigation driven by partisan interests. Uncertainty caused by late legal challenges and evidence-deficient claims about election fraud created confusion and concern among election officials and voters. Voter registration and identification rules in some states are unduly restrictive for certain groups of citizens. The media, although sharply polarized, provided comprehensive coverage of the campaign and made efforts to provide accurate information on the organization of elections.[405]

Link stated that “on the election day itself, we couldn’t see any violations” at the polling places visited by the observers.[402] The task force also found “nothing untoward” while observing the handling of mail-in ballots at post offices, with Gacek being quoted as saying that “We feel that allegations of systemic wrongdoing in these elections have no solid ground” and that “The system has held up well”.[403] The OSCE’s election monitoring branch is due to publish a more comprehensive report in early 2021.[403]

It’s from Wiki, so fair warning.

      • Ted S.

To be fair, the fraud wasn’t at the places they visited in that last paragraph.

      • blackjack

Yes. Pared down to a minimum, they couldn’t really see anything much at all. But they will happily pronounce the whole election as completely above board, and denounce the evil accusations of our current dictator. Fucking scumbags.

      • kbolino

It’s amazing how all these Europeans think so highly of the U.S. election system when it wouldn’t pass muster in any country in Europe. I’m sure not a one of them will go back home and speak condescendingly of backwards Americans, either.

      • rhywun

The UN is always telling us how backwards we are – maybe they could help? Bueller? Bueller?

      • kbolino

The UN is a source of employment for each country’s equivalent of the limousine liberal. It’s the ultimate progressive dream, faces from 193 nations all saying the same stupid shit. I wouldn’t expect much; these are the same people who visited the US recently and said they’ve never seen poverty like it in their lives. Apparently our actual country doesn’t compare well to their gated compound.

      • Gustave Lytton

        Bullshit. That’s fantasy.

Trump wins in a revote, it’s a stolen election.

Biden wins in a revote, it still a stolen election.

Update on the cats in my back yard that I forgot about: I went out to try to get a pic of the two kittens when the mother left to hunt. they both ran off and under the fence in a low spot that I was unaware of. A half hour later I looked and the mother was there with one of the kittens. Idk what happened to the other one, but it has not returned…maybe it will be back tomorrow. It couldn’t have gone far. I saw them go only into the neighbors yard. Anyway, the mother came back and gave a mouse to the one kitten. The gf saw it playing and asked what it was playing with…so I told her…She was grossed out but still thinking “aw, cute kitten”. Eventually the kitten settled down and ate the mouse. The gf kept trying to get me to put water out for them but I can’t do that because then they won’t leave. These appear to be strays but they will survive just like cats have been since they evolved. Or not. But I am already responsible for a pair of felines and I can’t be responsible for more.

::looks at LG’s handle:: Uh huh.

      • LemonGrenade

lol I hadn’t even considered the relation; I dated a lot of guys from the Naval Academy when I was younger and the guy who entertained the least pleasant/attractive girl in the group was usually already dating someone else and was “jumping the grenade” to help out a buddy.

The presidency doesn’t really matter that much. Not until we get to nuclear war, and we’re a long way from that.

Outside of that concern, all I can say is that there are plenty of people fucked in the head wondering what the point of all this is and we’re still going, so just survive for another day, then decide if you can do tomorrow too. That’s what I do when things seem insurmountable. If you’re going through hell, keep going.

    • Brochettaward

I don’t think it’s that she’s nasally so much as that she’s a smug cunt.

      • Rebel Scum

And she doesn’t deserve the position she is going to get (no, not missionary, she deserved that…). Democrats rejected her in the primary and she is still (probably…) going to get to be president.

      • OBJ FRANKELSON

These things are not mutually exclusive, one might say that they are complementary.

    • blackjack

It’s 2020 and we’re talking Donald Trump here. I won’t be surprised if he wins in court and this all screeches to stop.

      • Rebel Scum

The resolution to the 2000 election took almost 40 days. But that was a much more simple situation where the deep state really didn’t care which candidate “won”. So I’m having trouble being optimistic.

      • kbolino

Well, 2000 also came down to just one state. Ironically, Florida caused the fewest problems this time around. And despite having the key Biden demographic (old white people), went solidly for Trump.

      • Rebel Scum

Florida caused the fewest problems this time around.

Which is one data point that suggests massive fraud in the above mentioned and contested states. FL is the third most populace state in the union and they got their shit together and tallied everything and did so in a manner that does not draw suspicion. Yet, WI, MI, PA, NC, GA, NV, and AZ can’t achieve this? Sure… This election is fubar.

Additional data point to consider: Alaska has yet to be called (last I checked…). Really? Nonsense.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

Some of that depends on how sloppy the fraud was though although I put his odds as a little less than fifty fifty. I’d be willing to bet that once they start looking into this the shit’s going to be all fucked up, yo.

      • R C Dean

So, flood the zone with a half dozen states . . . .

Denmark is killing its large mink population after discovering a coronavirus mutation that can spread to humans, the nation’s government said Wednesday.

The country, which is the world’s largest supplier of mink fur, will cull as many as 17 million animals in an effort to stop the spread.

“We have a great responsibility towards our own population, but with the mutation that has now been found, we have an even greater responsibility for the rest of the world as well,” Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen said in a news conference, according to the BBC.

    4. Use violence to create an atmosphere of terror and chaos.
