Don’t Doxx Me Bro! Quatro

As I mentioned last time, some random person had written 3 50s style short films in the early 2000s. The first one produced was 2007’s They Came From The Stars, featured in part the third. The next one produced was I Was A Teenage Wolf-Man, a werewolf film inspired by I Was A Teenage Werewolf starring a young Michael Landon.

This film was produced as a film school project, so the crew was assigned. Another student was assigned to rewrite the script, so it isn’t the same singular vision as previous works, but all of the important things stayed intact. The most important of those being the father, none of his lines were changed. The father character is where the real satire is.

Many locations for the finale were scouted, but an abandoned granite quarry was chosen. To get permission to shoot there the production crew had to go testify before the town council. Once they found out there was a car that was going to be involved they became oddly obsessed with the idea that the car would be sent over the cliff. They were assured that this was an antique car and no such thing would happen.

The editor didn’t finish the final cut until after he had already graduated and moved to LA. So that cut was downloaded from from his youtube account, being marred by the compression rates of the time. This copy was then sent off to the sound editor who had graduated and moved to Oregon.  So the extant version you see here is not the most pristine, but it’s all that exists.

an abandoned granite quarry was chosen

In the best tradition of seventies BBC, nice.

    • DEG

      YES!

I’ll watch this later. I have to be up extra early tomorrow.

    • Chafed

There is a half decent porn joke I’m not going to make.

  2. MikeS

    I tried to warn him.

  3. Fourscore

Great job, CPRM, was this a graded project? Cool movie with a happy ending, sort of.

  4. Timeloose

    CPRM,

Great short. You paid homage to the genre while making it funny as well. Nice touches with the 3-D glasses and light on the eyes of the wolf boy.

    This is awesome! Still watching

    “Continue!”

    LOL the bully was well-casted.

“Did I tell you to talk?”
      Perfect

      Fin.

      Well done, assorted students!

CPRM, excellent show, that was fun,
    thanks!

Bueno. I am amazed you could find it on YT with the flood of new materials entered each hour.

I fully agree there is a population bomb. Like you I believe China will need to do something radical.

Immigration en-mass from other countries is likely culturally in acceptable, worker visa and visitor programs might work somewhat, but I think the most likely scenario is forced child bearing.

Good job. Always impressed by someone else’s creativity since I don’t have much of my own.

Will watch later, time to go swimming. /side benefit of being on the road

Speaking of that, noticed that the turnoff to the community of Boyd is Boyd Loop Rd. 🤔

      Yes, and…

Sanchez was arrested in 2012 and sentenced to six years in prison in 2013 after pleading guilty to sex crimes involving adolescent girls.

So it took him less than two years to wind up back in jail for the same offense. And who knows how many times he got away with it during those two years.

    I was a teenage First-Man.

    OOOOhhh yea.

Reddit and Facebook have informed me that I am autistic. You are all autistic. Everyone on Reddit and Facebook are autistic. Anyone who uses the internet is autistic. Everyone who DOESN’T use the internet is probably also autistic.

Say it with me now: If everyone’s autistic, no one is autistic.

Autism is out of fashion. Trans is the current Munchausen fad.

Montgomery Co. Public Schools unveil security measures after football game brawl

Student spectators will be limited to those students from the participating schools. Students will be asked to show student ID or their class schedules. School-age children from other schools can only attend if accompanied by an adult chaperone.
Students and spectators will be required to sit in the stands during the course of the game, and gatherings at halftime and after games will be limited.
Students and spectators who leave the game will be prohibited from re-entering; also, no spectators will be admitted after halftime.

“Hopefully, we don’t have to go any further,” said Jeffrey Sullivan, director of systemwide athletics, but if necessary, they will, he added.
Under the second phase of the security plan, the school system could further limit spectators and restrict access to students from the participating schools, and move games to the afternoon hours to provide more daylight.
Under the third phase, which Sullivan called “extreme measures,” school officials could close concession stands and limit spectators to families of participants — or ban all spectators altogether.

    You be you Monkey County.

    • Gender Traitor

      Good morning, RoaT!

I, too, live in a Montgomery County – the one in Ohio. I can certainly see this happening at the near-downtown stadium used for football by the Dayton Public Schools. (Soooooo proud to be a graduate survivor. 🙄)

      • Rat on a train

Good morning. When I was a junior I visited the opposing stands during a game to talk to friends. No brawling or anything. I feel like I didn’t get the full sports experience.

    • Grosspatzer

“move games to the afternoon hours to provide more daylight.”

This checks the “green” box. Also saves $$$. Lights in HS stadia never made any sense to me; I was not pleased when the renovation of our local HS included a brand new athletic field built to NFL specifications. Every time I get my property tax bill I want to burn it down.

      • rhywun

OFFS. I remember playing HS soccer on any available patch of grass that was sort-of large enough and reasonably flat with not too many puddles of mud.

      • Grosspatzer

The religious order that ran my all-boys HS had acres of what once was farmland behind the school. The two soccer fields barely made a dent in the space; we hosted the annual county “soccerama”, creating additional fields by putting up temporary goals in the available space. One of the brothers took care of the “maintenance” by driving a farm tractor around the property.

      • Rat on a train

My first high school played on the local university’s field. The on-campus field barely had bleachers (I recall only 4-5 rows along half of one side).

    • Gustave Lytton

Under the third phase, which Sullivan called “extreme measures,” school officials could close concession stands and limit spectators to families of participants — or ban all spectators altogether.

Not on the menu: ending games entirely and disbanding the teams

      • UnCivilServant

        Of course not.

The schools will be disbanded in their entirety, but the teams will continue.

    Accidental Fire Destroys Purcellville Barn

The LCFR-FMO investigation determined that the fire was accidental, caused by the spontaneous combustion of mulch and potting soil from a flowerbox.

“Spontaneous combustion can happen when a decomposing, organic material such as mulch generates enough heat to ignite without an outside source,” states System Chief Keith H. Johnson. “Because of this, a large or compacted area of mulch can create sufficient heat to spontaneously combust. Remember, in all cases, mulch fires are more likely to start when the weather is hot, and it has been dry for an extended period.”

I knew compost got warm, but not that warm.

    • Grosspatzer

This gives me hope. Someday soon the Capitol may spontaneously burst into flames.

      • Rat on a train

I’m here to mulch the beds around the capital, officer.

  15. UnCivilServant

    Just got back from breakfast.

It decided today was going to be rainy. This was okay, I had my umbrella.

Then the rain decided to be horizonal. That was fun.

    • Gender Traitor

      Good morning, U.

Yeah… it’s hard to carry enough umbrellas to protect against that. 🌧☔⛈☔ Hope breakfast was worth the walk in the wet.

      • UnCivilServant

        It was Hardee’s.

Fortunately, the horizontal rain was only on the last part where I gained the hotel entrance, so not so bad.

      • Gender Traitor

There are only two Hardee’ses(?) in Dayton proper, and a handful in the surrounding ‘burbs. There’s one not too far from my office, but I’d have to venture off my usual route and delve into the overdeveloped hyper-retail district that makes my commute a PITA at that end of the trip. Tim Horton’s is much more convenient and safely away from the worst of the congestion.

      • UnCivilServant

In my case, there are few things open so early that I can conveniently visit them for breakfast in this place.

      • Ted S.

Yeah, in the Before Times we had a diner or two open 24/7.

When my dad had his cataract surgery down in Poughkeepsie back in March, I looked for a diner to get breakfast since the ambulatory surgery place made me wait outside thanks to covidiocy. The one I found on Google Maps didn’t have updated opening information, and when I got to the place about 6:55 AM, it was dark. I was about to leave and walk the couple blocks back to the car when the owner turned the “OPEN” light on about 7:02 AM.

    • Ted S.

And I have a day off work today. Yippee.

      • UnCivilServant

Is it a fun day off, or a working day off? (Or is it a sick day?)

      • Ted S.

I had vacation days off I had to use before Oct. 5, so I’m off today, tomorrow, next Friday, and Oct. 3.

      • Gender Traitor

Good for you, Ted’S! Hope it’s one for fun and conditions are favorable. (Maybe a nice long walk in the woods with Sonny?)

      • Ted S.

I did my Glibfit yesterday. I had a half day off, so I climbed Tremper Mountain. Unfortunately, I have just enough of a fear of heights that the treads on the fire tower felt unsafe and I didn’t climb high enough to get above the tree line. I got a photo of the tower, and a photo of the signpost at the top of the mountain, but forgot to take selfies.

Just about 90 minutes up the hill, and another 90 minutes back down.

      • Gender Traitor

OK – that was just creepy: I clicked on that link, and there’s a little button on the lower left that popped up and said “Buy Sean Coffee.” 😳

      • Sean

I’m not putting out for a cup of coffee.

        Just sayin.

      • Grosspatzer

        Steaks? Hot peppers?

      • EvilSheldon

        Ammo?

      • Sean

        lol

      • Grosspatzer

Nothing like a nice walk in the rain. Enjoy!

  16. Grosspatzer

    Mornin’, reprobates!

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, ‘patzie! Hangin’ in and/or on?

Sorry ’bout the Mets’ loss. REALLY sorry, since the Cardinals lost, too, and made no change to their Magic Number. 😒

      • Grosspatzer

Had to eat a Percocet last night for the first time since Sunday morning. I was even more incoherent than usual on the zoomer.

Ugly loss, and minor injuries to two key players. Yuck.

      • Gender Traitor

Yikes! Hope they heal up before divisional playoffs start! (Unless they’d play the Cardinals first! 😉)

  17. Sean

    *waves*

    *nods*

    • Gender Traitor

::tiptoes over and hands Sean a tall, strong cuppa cawfee::

      • UnCivilServant

        Crows hate caw fees.

      • Gender Traitor

I’m sure they wouldn’t be raven about ’em! 😄

      • Grosspatzer

        Bunch of soar losers.

      • Fourscore

        Now you’re winging it.
