FBI whistleblower: Counterterrorism cases against alleged right-wing extremists mostly ‘entrapment’

Just like J6, a Fed op that succeeded in convincing some dunces to create a spectacle that allowed the mandarinate to claim some insurrection activity that was not there happened, was another entrapment thing. The proof this thing was done by the Fed is in how the DC bomber managed to get away, despite doing his work in a city where the surveillance matches the CCP standard, and the one guy they have on video inciting violent behavior was not only not charged with anything, but squirreled away so nobody could investigate Epps’ role and allegiance.

I predict the response from the people that want government to pick winners & losers will be to do even more stupid shit – shit like the stuff Barney Frank and Chris Dodd did in the years before we had our first housing market collapse due to criminal government regulation – and then blame the people that kept pointing out this was a disaster of their own making for it when it collapses the economy yet again.

    Just a coincidence

The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC), a major U.S. green group that has influenced Biden administration policymaking, has deep ties to the Chinese government.

The NRDC, a non-profit organization based in New York City with total assets exceeding $450 million, has worked on climate issues extensively in China since the mid-1990s and several of its top officials have worked for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) or government-sponsored institutions.

The NRDC also maintains a close working relationship with President Biden’s administration. The NRDC’s former president, Gina McCarthy, served as Biden’s climate czar up from January 2021 until earlier this month. Current president, Manish Bapna, has attended at least two White House meetings, visitor logs reviewed by Fox News Digital show.

The NRDC regularly communicates with Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry’s office on policy issues, according to internal State Department emails obtained by the watchdog group Protect the Public’s Trust and shared with Fox News Digital.

On its website, the NRDC highlights its collaboration with a “wide range of Chinese and international partners” to boost green policies and “fortify” environmental regulations in the country.

    Portrait of a domestic terrorist

Long before he assembled one of the largest far-right anti-government militia groups in U.S. history, before his Oath Keepers stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, Stewart Rhodes was a promising Yale Law School graduate.

He secured a clerkship on the Arizona Supreme Court, in part thanks to his unusual life story: a stint as an Army paratrooper cut short by a training accident, followed by marriage, college and an Ivy League law degree.

The clerkship was one more rung up from a hardscrabble beginning. But rather than fitting in, Rhodes came across as angry and aggrieved.

He railed to colleagues about how the Patriot Act, which gave the government greater surveillance powers after the Sept. 11 attacks, would erase civil liberties. He referred to Vice President Dick Cheney as a fascist for supporting the Bush administration’s use of “enemy combatant” status to indefinitely detain prisoners.

“He saw this titanic struggle between people like him who wanted individual liberty and the government that would try to take away that liberty,” said Matt Parry, who worked with Rhodes as a clerk for Arizona Supreme Court Justice Mike Ryan.

Rhodes alienated his moderate Republican boss and eventually left the steppingstone job. Since then he has ordered his life around a thirst for greatness and deep distrust of government.

I haven’t gotten to the part where they prove him completely wrong about the Patriot Act. It must be in there somewhere.

    • Rat on a train

Now we don’t have to send people to Gitmo for indefinite detention. Progress!

    • Ted S.

Before Obama and Biden were elected President, it was the left claiming the Patriot Act would destroy civil liberties.

      How quickly that’s been memory-holed.

      • Rat on a train

It is like how the ACLU defended free speech when they were worried their speech was in danger. Now they can be more selective in which speech they defend because the man approves of their speech.

      • Shiny Nerfherder

        👆👆👆

      • l0b0t

Roger Nash Baldwin (co-founder of the ACLU) had this to say in 1934 –

“I believe in non-violent methods of struggle as most effective in the long run for building up successful working class power. Where they cannot be followed or where they are not even permitted by the ruling class, obviously only violent tactics remain. I champion civil liberty as the best of the non-violent means of building the power on which workers’ rule must be based. If I aid the reactionaries to get free speech now and then, if I go outside the class struggle to fight against censorship, it is only because those liberties help to create a more hospitable atmosphere for working class liberties. The class struggle is the central conflict of the world; all others are incidental.

When that power of the working class is once achieved, as it has been only in the Soviet Union, I am for maintaining it by any means whatever. Dictatorship is the obvious means in a world of enemies, at home and abroad. I dislike it in principle as dangerous to its own objects. But the Soviet Union has already created liberties far greater than exist elsewhere in the world. […] While I have some reservations about party policy in relation to internal democracy, and some criticisms of the unnecessary persecution of political opponents, the fundamentals of liberty are firmly fixed in the USSR. And they are fixed on the only ground on which liberty really matters — economic. No class to exploit the workers and peasants; wide sharing of control in the economic organizations; and the wealth produced is common property.”

The clerkship was one more rung up from a hardscrabble beginning.

There is the problem. He didn’t come from the right kind of family. If he had, he would have had lots of relatives who had also gone to the Ivy League and ended up in one govt agency or another. Then he would have realized that The State is wonderful and never does anything bad.

Sure a few hardscrabble families might get chewed up in The War On Drugs, or something similar, but omelets need to be made!

Nope, he came from some crazy family that didn’t educate him well enough and he didn’t love Big Gov properly.

“It is largely caused by overly generous entitlements and a shrinking working population to pay for benefits for an increasing number of elderly citizens”

Now hold on there, young feller.

Even FDR knew that SS was unsustainable but he also knew how to get re-elected. SS has been a political toy for nearly 100 years, add on all the other Great Society benefits and we are there. The path forward is more than austerity, more like subsistence poverty. Anyone believing it’s just a matter of getting the right people elected are going to be in for a surprise. The boat is leaking…

    • SDF-7

What pisses me off the most about SS and Medicaid is that my part of GenX never expected it to still be around in its current form — certainly didn’t expect it to be there for us. Which to me says it was the perfect time around the Tea Party Movement or during the GWB years to say “Look, everyone over 50 — no change. Absolutely no change. Anyone under? Start making other plans if you haven’t already because we’re winding it down… nothing else will prevent it bankrupting this country.”

But look at some of the morons (or government/GOPe plants given what we’ve seen over the last decade) at the Tea Party rallies… “Government hands off my Medicaid!” :eyeroll: So I’m sure the politicians (much like PPP and the non-existent GOP plans for SS now) would scaremonger it into “They’re cutting existing retiree benefits!” So stupid. So ridiculous. Just acknowledge what we all knew growing up in the ’80s and ’90s — there’s no way to pay for it, it will crash the country… so shut it down without breaking troth with those who can’t pivot.

      Sigh.

      • Fourscore

Even today geezers are expecting a 9% raise in benefits in January, COLA. Impossible to shut down for the reasons you stated. Old people vote as a block, for the most part. Nursing home residents votes count the same as yours.

Yup. It was the same with defined benefit pension plans in the private sector, largely. Just ignore it completely until it can’t be ignored and fuck the ones who need it most.

      • Pope Jimbo

Private sector pension plans were saved by President Biden

The Teamster’s Central States Pension Fund has been a clusterfuck for years. The members kept voting against any cuts even though it was clear the money wasn’t there. Instead of going broke and everyone getting nothing, Biden propped them up with Covid money.

In short, the nation’s largest multi-employer pension fund is also one of its most troubled.

The plan today covers 65,000 union members and 212,000 retirees. Because so few employees are paying into the system compared to how many receive retirement benefits, the fund’s assets plunged by $2 billion last year. The plan had a similar deficit in 2011.

But at least the influx of money fixed the core problem?

      • Rat on a train

…or Maybe the Trans Shop Teacher Is the Hero We Need Right Now

This dude is gaming the system. An anon here yesterday was in this dude’s class. This teacher was almost fired for ‘toxic masculinity’ last year, as well as not embracing woke culture. He’d drop redpills to his class, such as how silly gender neutral bathrooms are. The school board hates him.

He’s now upping the ante to exploit the very clown world the school and society itself created. His long game is most likely to get fired, and then sue for discrimination. There is no other explanation.. No better way to troll clown world than to become an over-the-top caricature of a woman.

And intresting bit of speculation (TW PJ Media) on that clown world shop teacher in Kanada.

What Many Progressives Misunderstand About Fighting Climate Change

Wishful thinking hampers the clean-energy revolution.

    https://www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archive/2022/09/capitalism-clean-energy-technology-permitting/671545/

But this may not be enough for some environmentalists. Jamie Henn, an environmental activist and the director of Fossil Free Media, recently told Rolling Stone, “Look, I want to get carbon out of the atmosphere, but this is such an opportunity to remake our society. But if we just perpetuate the same harms in a clean-energy economy, and it’s just a world of Exxons and Elon Musks—oh, man, what a nightmare.” Many progressive commentators similarly believe that countering climate change requires a fundamental reordering of the West’s political and economic systems. “The level of disruption required to keep us at a temperature anywhere below ‘absolutely catastrophic’ is fundamentally, on a deep structural level, incompatible with the status quo,” the writer Phil McDuff has argued. The climate crisis, the Green New Deal advocate Naomi Klein has insisted, “could be the best argument progressives have ever had” to roll back corporate influence, tear up free-trade deals, and reinvest in public services and infrastructure.

    • AlexinCT

This is a made up crisis. The earth’s weather system is so complex that we still can’t even predict weather accurately. People that ignore that we are coming out of an ice age, or that the real greenhouse gas is H2O, or that the biggest contributors are the energy from the sun and the heat trapped by our oceans and atmospheres (in H2O), all so they can pretend CO2 and man are at fault, NEVER have engineering solutions. It is ALWAYS marxism and loss of freedom for the serfs.

      • trshmnstr the terrible

We (humanity) contribute ~4% of the total CO2 emissions that happen in a year. By the way, the natural variability of emissions is right around 4% as well.

The only way that we’d be cooking the earth via CO2 is through some sort of massively fragile positive feedback loop, the kind of feedback loop that would’ve cooked off all life with each major volcanic eruption.

    • Fatty Bolger

Look, I want to get carbon out of the atmosphere,

lol. Yeah, it’s not like what plants crave, or anything.

Among all the convoluted #science on this subject, the incredibly obvious is ignored: CO2 and warmth makes the planet MORE habitable, not less. Especially when you’re in an ice age, like we currently are.

Labour conference: Starmer ambition to get off fossil fuels by 2030

    https://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-63023277

But the party believes it can win votes by promoting green energy as a way to generate economic growth, in contrast to Tory tax cuts for the well-off.

Labour says it will work with business to more than quadruple offshore wind power, triple solar, and double onshore wind by the end of this decade, while backing nuclear, hydrogen, and tidal power.

“Our plan for clean power by 2030 will save the British people £93bn off their energy bills and break the UK’s vulnerability to Putin and his cronies,” said Sir Keir.

“It will also support our drive for higher growth and rising living standards.”

Labour says the plan will also “reindustrialise” the UK, by creating more than 200,000 direct jobs and up to 260,000-300,000 indirect jobs.

FBI misled judge who signed warrant for Beverly Hills seizure of $86 million in cash

It took five days for scores of agents to fill their evidence bags with the bounty: More than $86 million in cash and a bonanza of gold, silver, rare coins, gem-studded jewelry and enough Rolex and Cartier watches to stock a boutique.

The U.S. attorney’s office has tried to block public disclosure of court papers that laid bare the government’s deception, but a judge rejected its request to keep them under seal.

The failure to disclose the confiscation plan in the warrant request came to light in FBI documents and depositions of agents in a class-action lawsuit by box holders who say the raid violated their rights.

They omitted from their warrant request a central part of the FBI’s plan: Permanent confiscation of everything inside every box containing at least $5,000 in cash or goods, a senior FBI agent recently testified.

    • Shiny Nerfherder

The FBI and U.S. attorney’s office denied that they misled the judge or ignored his conditions, saying they had no obligation to tell him of the plan for indiscriminate confiscations on the blanket assumption that every customer was hiding crime-tainted assets.

More than 100 people showed up to attend a drag story time at a St. Paul library Saturday morning despite reported threats to kill the librarians holding the event.

Such a bunch of fascist Nazis:

Many of the protesters stationed at Payne Avenue wore masks and many wore shirts and hats identifying themselves as members of the Proud Boys, known as a far-right, neo-fascist and exclusively male organization. They describe themselves differently, saying they are “members of a pro-Western fraternal organization for men who refuse to apologize for creating the modern world, aka Western Chauvinists.”

The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated the Proud Boys a hate group. They say Proud Boys members have expressed white supremacist and racist rhetoric.

Most members of the group declined to give their names to reporters Saturday.

However, one man who identified himself as Mark Ninevah held a sign that read, “Don’t care about your gender ID, lifestyle preferences. Protect our children.”

He said the Proud Boys had “gays in our group and we have all races in our group.”

“We’re not here to bash anybody,” he said. “We don’t want to hate anybody. We’re here because we don’t think this is appropriate for children.”

There was a set in Muncie and a set in Long Island on Ebay (both local pickup only due to size). The Muncie ones sold before I had the opportunity to figure out when I could make the drive. Just before I was ready to pull the trigger on the Long Island mufflers, a set showed up in Rockford IL. I ended up getting those this weekend. I wonder how much collusion is causing this

A renter in Hennepin County whose landlord filed to evict them this month likely won’t learn whether they will be kicked out of their home until the middle of winter because of a massive court backlog.

What used to be about a 20-day process skyrocketed this summer amid a huge increase in eviction filings when the pandemic-related eviction moratorium lifted.

“In normal times, evictions never run this slow. It’s just the sheer volume. This has been the busiest couple months on record,” said Rachael Sterling, housing attorney and communications coordinator for HOME Line, a tenants’ rights nonprofit.

Volume could play a part in this, but my gut tells me that the courts and other do-gooder organizations are doing their best to slow walk these hearings in order to create pressure like this on the landlords. “Things are just so backed up! Maybe if you want this to be resolved quickly you should show some compassion and settle for a promise that they will pay going forward, but you forgive the old rent”

The longest women’s throw, by Jennifer Allen, came in at 568.5 or 569 feet depending on whom you believe.

That said, I’d think accuracy and disc control would be more important on the vast majority of holes. You poise a good question; is there a difference between men and women when it comes to accuracy?

But the FBI’s evidence against customers was thin.

Agents had seen some of them pull up to the store in vehicles with Nevada, Ohio and Illinois license plates, Zellhart wrote.

“Based on my training and experience in money laundering investigations, Chicago, Illinois is a hub of both drug trafficking and money laundering,” she said. “I believe these patrons were using their USPV box to store drug proceeds.” She cited no facts to back up the suspicion.

Based on my training and experience, any time a LEO says “based on my training and experience” they are about to perpetrate a fraud upon the court.

Susan Collins, the new president of the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston, said Monday that a higher unemployment rate will be needed to bring down inflation from unusually high levels, but suggested any economic downturn would likely be modest.

In her first speech as Boston Fed president, Collins said the economy is resilient enough to withstand the higher interest rates needed to combat inflation, which is near a four-decade high. Her comments echoed similar remarks from Raphael Bostic, president of the Atlanta Fed, on Sunday. Fed Chair Jerome Powell has also said that fighting inflation would cause “pain” for households and businesses.

“Accomplishing price stability will require slower employment growth and a somewhat higher unemployment rate,” Collins said in written remarks to be delivered Monday before the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce.

Collins acknowledged that job losses are painful and said “there is apprehension about the possibility of a significant downturn.” Yet she maintained that “the goal of a more modest slowdown, while challenging, is achievable.”

Higher unemployment in inside-the-Beltway Washington is what we need.

    • Banjos

They went from denying that inflation existed, to insisting it was under control and going to come down, to denying that a recession will happen to “the goal of a more modest slowdown, while challenging, is achievable.” We are so fucked. Oh, there is no soft landing for this one.

The Fed is simply trying to stabilize the dollar so that it remains the global reserve currency. The other considerations will just get lip service.

The real question is how Congress will respond. The Fed has basically told them to cut spending. Methinks they’re not going to accept that message willingly.

      • Urthona

By cut spending you mean using emergency powers to illegally bribe my constituents, right?

This is the eventual ending to Krugabe’s inflation only exists in the minds of right wing extremists theory.

We just need a better class of planners

Fears are growing that the EU could descend into anarchy as its working classes pay the price to combat Russian energy aggression. A commission, entitled Save Gas for a Safe Winter, allows officials in Brussels to impose fines for non-compliance if the energy crisis escalates to a dangerous level. Several EU member states are considering adopting stringent energy rationing measures, which has caused dozens of energy-intensive factories to cut back production or shut down.

Those unpatriotic ingrates will just have to suck it up and deal with the totally unanticipated consequences of economic sanctions against their main source of reliable energy.

California is committing to a plan that will make it the first US state to phase out gas-fueled furnaces and water heaters in homes, a move environmentalists are betting will provide a template for other states.

The Golden State will ban the sale of all new natural gas-fired space heaters and water heating appliances by 2030, under a proposal unanimously approved by the California Air Resources Board on Thursday.

A template of what not to do.
