I would like to give FUN MUNNIEZ but I would not like to give PayPal my phone number. HALP!

    • AlexinCT

You can donate as guest and use a credit card…. But yes, fuck Paypal.

      • rhywun

They still want my phone number as guest.

      • R.J.

Me too. Not pleased with that. More than happy to pay, but not with anything PayPal related. Swiss, can I just send money? Someplace in the forums?

      • Tonio

I was told this was going to be a Telethon and that I’d get to tap-dance on camera until we rang in the first donation. That’s fine, just fine, the sequined suit seems to have shrunk during the past year in storage.

      • Festus

    • straffinrun

The only times I’ve given money here it was through someone else. My aversion to giving that info is same as yours.

    • Count Potato

I don’t remember if they asked my phone number, but if you give then your bank account or CC info they know who you are anyway.

      • rhywun

        Sigh… true.

      • rhywun

And it’s not like I haven’t used them in the past.

      • rhywun

        Done.

  2. AlexinCT

    Donation made.

  3. UnCivilServant

    I am writing things.

The problem is I don’t post before I finish the story… to avoid a repeat of the kitbash situation.

  4. Zwak, who taser's the chimp with the razor.

Working on some book reviews. I like writing those.

  5. AlexinCT

When STEVE SMITH loves a Hooman… Can’t keep his mind on nothing else… Turn his back on his friend cause a good rape he foresees….

  6. straffinrun

Things moving so fast, I’m having a hard time thinking of writing anything that would be both timely and time irrelevant. My brain is shot. Went to a Starbucks this morning instead of my usual salary man dump of a coffee shop. Mindlessly, I lit a cigarette and started puffing away. Nobody said anything, but I wish I had a picture of their facial expressions.

    • rhywun

Mindlessly, I lit a cigarette and started puffing away.

Oh man I miss that. Even if it’s just Juuls now, a coffee shop without nicotine is bullshit. Same as bars. I haven’t been to either in a decade or more.

      • Count Potato

        Fuck Rob Reiner.

      • R.J.

Yeah. I still like “Spirit of ’76” but I wish he wasn’t in it. The whole family was in it. Still one of my favorite films.

      • Zwak, who taser's the chimp with the razor.

Fuck, it was my hometown with the first smoking ban.

      • Festus

I was a Pub denizen for 15 years until the smoking ban came into effect. The number of pubs and bars are less than half of where they were. If I can’t have a smoke with my overpriced beverages while feeding quarters into your pool tables then you can just sit and spin. I’ve been to a local maybe twice since. Used to be a fun way to socialize.

      • straffinrun

There are few that still allow it at your table. Most have a smoking booth or no smoking anywhere.

      • Festus

They have banned smoking even out on the patio seats. Too bad, so sad. None of my hard-earned going to help single Moms working toward their degrees.

      • rhywun

OFFS even NYC lets you smoke on patios.

    • MikeS

I’d like to see an article about your drawrings.

      • Tonio

You want him to show you his etchings?

      • straffinrun

Maybe. I’m bored and looking for a new hobby though.

    • R.J.

I just crapped on a page and submitted it. My other stuff will have to wait until this weekend to finish. Post! Or be subjected to more trash!

My internet is down, has Donny announced yet?

    • rhywun

Ugh let the next circus begin.

      • The Hyperbole

Is this real? He just said he went “decades and decades without war!, the longest of any president ever” It sounds legit but the video is so bad and the audio is out of synch, you’d expect better quality from an official announcment.

      • Festus

Looks fake but it does track with his cadence. Needs moar evidence.

      • CPRM

He has bone spurs! Bone spurs! He didn’t have to go to war. It’s a medical condition. It’s true, it’s true.

That “Chance” card got a choking on beverage moment out of me. Unfortunately, we are engaged in some Socialism trying to wean someone away from a lifestyle choice that is doomed to failure and the little dog was sabotaged to the tune of $3000 so the Glibs will have to wait awhile for my next donation. I appreciate everything that you do but the well has truly run dry. We’ll see what the future brings.

    • DEG

      Sorry.

  15. Mojeaux

    Done.

  16. R.J.

Emergency Post sent. More coming soon.

  17. Tonio

Thanks all of you who are donating funds, and contributing articles. Both are truly appreciated.

    • R.J.

You should post a donation link on my open post and say “DONATE OR HE’LL POST AGAIN!”

  18. Negroni Please

I am a cranky curmudgeon, a cheapskate, and an all around miserable bastard. But I just donated anyway.

The world needs a meme with Trump as Donny and DeSantis as Walter from The Big Lebowski:

“Shut the fuck up, Donnie, you’re out of your element!”

    • Festus

Everything is so split down the middle. Maybe the best defense is a good offence? Nothing that the establishment is trying has worked thus far. Scorched earth seems better than the slow trickle of loss after loss. Blow it all up and to the winner go the spoils.

  20. CPRM

I was going to have The Hair try to be even more bone chilling than The Hat’s Halloween episode. It would be The Hair reading an excerpt from one of Stacy Abram’s erotic novels. But then I decided I hate you guys that much.

Looking to see what excerpts are out there to read, googling her Nom De Plume brings up the current Georgia election results. And this is the author bio on her publisher’s site:

Selena Montgomery is the nom de plume of Stacey Abrams. After serving for eleven years in the Georgia House of Representatives, she became the first Black woman to become the gubernatorial nominee for a major party in the United States, and was the first Black woman and first Georgian to deliver a Response to the State of the Union. In 2021, she received the inaugural Social Justice Impact Award from the NAACP Image Awards.

Stacey is an avid fan of television and movies, with a penchant for sci-fi, car chases and heists. A bibliophile, her recent favorites range from Colson Whitehead, Robert Caro and Nora Roberts to N.K. Jemison, Rebecca Roanhorse and Haruki Marukami.

As Selena Montgomery, she is an award-winning author of eight romantic suspense novels.

      • R.J.

You must do something with it. Reading excerpts while locked in FBI storage, something.

      • Mojeaux

Plz send email addy for this project. moriah at moriahjovan dot com.

      • rhywun

        And yet…

Maybe Kamala can give her a few pointers on how to properly fail upwards.

      • Festus

Everyone of those authors are terrible. America dodged yet another bullet. She will be back.

      • Mojeaux

Which authors? Stacey Abrams? I’ve started reading her book and I see nothing objectionable about it yet. That is not to say she won’t have some plot hole later in the book but so far it’s readable. Not my cuppa, genre-wise, but so far so good.

      • Festus

I am literally a literature snob. I can’t stand genre fiction or authors that keep going to the well. Probably why I don’t read much, anymore. It seems that I’ve read every plot. When I claim to have read thousands of books I am not bloviating. I can get one or two chapters in and already know what happens next.

      • Mojeaux

I can’t stand genre fiction or authors that keep going to the well.

        Ah, okay, then.

        Yeah… um… that’s pretty much everything I read.

      • Festus

Don’t get me wrong. I can’t tune a play to save my life but I can hear shitty, discordant music just the same. Well written bullshit is still bullshit. I get it. People love that stuff for some reason. I never meant anything bad toward you, sweet Mojo. I’m actually enjoying your story because you are writing in a style that I am unfamiliar with. I’ll keep reading. I can’t wait until the Baptist girl un-pants the weasel.

      • Tonio

Oh, that sucks. You never get to enjoy a novel.

Not wanting to be fined for wrongthink is a $2,500 fine.

  22. The Other Kevin

I always had a soft spot for STEVE SMITH. Well ever since I took a wrong turn at that sequoia. But let’s not talk about that.

I’ve got a tournament this weekend, and I’ll expedite what is sure to be an epic tale of travel and on ice heroics.

  23. Festus

I’ve played this one before but I can’t think of anything that better describes what happened to the Republican Party last week. https://youtu.be/RZQL8oowe3A It may not be to everyone’s taste but listen.

    • rhywun

That was marverlously awful but it did bring this also appropriate musical theme for the GOP to mind.

      • Festus

My favorite line is “Bring that beer over! I need it to steer!”

    • Lackadaisical

Why do I keep clicking musical links from Glibs?

      I just hate myself apparently.

  24. The Hyperbole

What is the point of this, I often defend remakes and think that the whole ‘Hollywood has ran out of ideas’ is a lame argument, but Jebus this does nothing that the original didn’t do. I understand wanting to pay tribute to your heroes but a bad karaoke performance ain’t it. Now this is a quality remake, it gives new life to a song many people never heard of and even those that did will appreciate the new take on the old song. /Rant

    • Festus

Bruce Springsteen sucks balls. This is known.

      • The Hyperbole

He’s not my favorite but when he’s doing his own thing I can respect and even like some of his stuff, Thunder road is over played but it’s a good song, and that one where’s he’s telling his girlfriends friend to shut up or walk home. He’s got some good songs.

      • Chafed

This is true and any Glib who links to him should provide a warning.

    • straffinrun

He’s a cheap imitation of John Cougar Melloncamp.

      • The Hyperbole

It’s just John Mellencamp now, don’t be a dead-namer Vanilla Rice Balls.

      • Festus

How else would all of those starving farmers (including his own family) get all of those sweet, sweet corn subsidies?

      • straffinrun

        The cougar divorced him?

    • MikeS

First off, movie remakes are entirely different than covering songs. It’s ridiculous to equate them.

Second, I think I would want to punch Springsteen if I had to spend any time with him. However, I begrudgingly like some of his music. I enjoy most of this album. Maybe because it’s covers.

      • Festus

Nope. Fuck that bellowing asshole and triple-fuck Jan Wenner.

      • The Hyperbole

Meh, “Louie, Louie” is music’s version of film/TV’s “A Xmas Carol” A remake is a remake calling it a ‘cover’ or an ‘homage’ doesn’t change that.

      • MikeS

That wasn’t my point, but it’s past bedtime and I don’t care to get in to it. Also, I don’t see how that helps you defend the dearth of lazy Hollywood remakes, but whatev.

  25. CPRM

You know, I’m not one at all to jump on ‘racist language’ and all that bullshit. But there is some thing that is bothering me with modern sports talk. It’s not something I used to hear so much before, although it was used on occasion, But now it is in just about every conversation every few minutes on sports talk. The use of the word studs. It really does sound like they are talking about them as breeding animals, not just by the use of the word but the context in which it is deployed.

I’m all for treating athletes as what they are, freaks there for me to enjoy. I don’t care if they are destroying their bodies for entertainment, that IS their job, and they are paid well for it. But now more than before the way these (often liberal) sports talk hosts discuss players it sounds like they are talking about animals the way slave traders talked about men on the auction block. I dunno if I’m just getting old and cranky or if it really is worse than before.

    • Festus

Dunno. I stopped paying attention to sports over a decade ago and lost about 30% of my give-a-fuck generally.

    • creech

Imagine the reaction if they started referring to the cheerleaders as “Bimbos.”

    • rhywun

they are talking about them as breeding animals

Hang out with more than one middle-aged single gal sometime and you’ll get an earful.

      • Lackadaisical

        That is amusing.

  26. Gender Traitor

Time for another exciting season of GT dozing off in front of Curse of Oak Island! 😃🏝

You were all very kind about my cookies. I’d like to write another post soon, but I don’t think my current project of making new cushions for my sofa would be interesting at all. (The covers will be no better than barely-glorified pillowcases.) I’ll try to come up with another idea soon. With pictures, if possible, since I figured out how to lay them out half-ass artistically.

    • Tonio

  28. whiz

I’d submit an article, but my current effort is too local and too topical (as in it has a very near expiration date): figuring out the probabilities of which team will win the Big 10 West. I worked it up for a local radio station to use on air.

  29. Ownbestenemy

Tonio I am trying to slog through an article into the underbelly of the more seedy parts of the FAA, the world of a technician. The non-public facing part that no one knows about except how easy it was to screw with equipment in Die Hard 2

    • tripacer

I like it! It would be nice to see a less negative side of the FAA. Or maybe just reinforce their incompetence for me. Either way.
Our own FAA petty tyrant visited today, to inspect our repair station. He had many complaints about how our op specs were written. Op specs that someone from his FSDO signed off on. Apparently he demanded changes months ago, in a letter that he never sent. It’s ok though, he’s going to send it again.

      • Ownbestenemy

We don’t misrepresent ourselves but it is amazing how many hangers are on lunch when they see an FAA vehicle pull up.

      • Ownbestenemy

Trying to get away from acronyms is absolutely insane by the way.

  30. Chafed

I just contributed $50 but fuck PayPal. Those deceptive shits shouldn’t need my phone number for a credit card charge.

Powers That Be consider getting some other credit card processing service and also giving us an option larger than $50. I realize the financial resources of the Glibertariat runs the gamut. That means some of us can contribute more. Don’t make it difficult to do so.

Fairfax County plans to further lower grading standards

Fairfax County implemented temporary grading policies during the coronavirus pandemic, and last year, the county made a score of 50 the bottom of its 100-point scale — meaning 50 is the lowest score a student could receive on an assignment.

Just make 60 the lowest and everyone passes.

    • Lackadaisical

That is ridonkulous. They really do enjoy having uneducated voting bases.

      • Shiny Nerfherder

Fairfax is one of the wealthiest localities in the world.

And this is how they handle the education of their kids.

      • rhywun

All part of the plan. Guarantee you this has nothing to do with “the coronavirus pandemic”. That was just an excuse to lower standards.

Oh I see the article touches on the real reason.

Hispanic and Black students are overrepresented in the share of students receiving D’s and F’s.

    • rhywun

“It is truly disgusting to hear today that Gov. Abbott and his administration continue to implement their purposefully cruel policy using immigrant families — including women and children — as pawns to shamelessly push his warped political agenda,” Mayor Jim Kenney said.

      LOL that’s not very welcoming.

So the not-cruel policy is to throw open the doors and let thousands of them pile up border towns that can’t handle them?

      • Shiny Nerfherder

The northern states are taking the position that they get to decide what should happen at the Texas border, but they shouldn’t have to deal with the repercussions.

    • Grosspatzer

      “Abandoned car removal”

It’s Philadelphia, civilians are already handling this. Abandon your vehicle for a few minutes to go shopping and it may be removed.

    • R C Dean

Civilians? I thought those jobs were traditionally done by cops, you know, other civilians. Not by members of the military.

  37. Grosspatzer

    • Rat on a train

This isn’t a pitch only to women, according to the company. Coors Light, is targeting “any beer drinkers” who prefer cold to warm brew.

      I prefer actual beer.

      • rhywun

plenty of younger men wear nail polish today

        *CNN readers nod sagely*

“Plus, blue is a smart gender-neutral color.”

They can’t possibly get up their own asshole further… can they?

  38. robodruid

    Good Morning all:

So i guess I’ll bring it up.

    He’s running again.

Not really sure how I feel about this. He has a lot of energy but not necessarily a lot of good direction.
A good thing is that sort of forces the democrats to run Biden. That will be sad to watch.

And I am suspicious of all of the praise/preselecting for Desantis. I have heard/red that he is being supported by Bush family. (no evidence of that).

How did i miss the nuke article? I was giving contractors a base tour.

    • Shiny Nerfherder

I know how I feel about it, and it ain’t good.

He can’t win. DC will burn the country down before they allow him to return.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

^Yeah, this. The Reps will pull funding, throw races, and generally do everything they can manage to do to hand it to the Dems because they’d rather deal with deal with child altering spendhappy lunatics than a movement and person who at least spout rhetoric about kicking over their apple cart. Not to mention he pushes leftist turnout like nothing I’ve ever seen because he’s been, unfairly IMHO but whatever, because he’s been branded as the Devil. I saw it coming because of his ego but this really is a disaster.

    • Rat on a train

Too old. Boomers need to retire. Time for Gen X before the Millennials come along and make things worse than they are.

      • Lackadaisical

        As a millennial I agree.

We need to give Gen X a good shot at it so they can stop complaining and saying it isn’t their fault. 😀

      • Shiny Nerfherder

We need to give Gen X a good shot at it

Fuck no, I’m too busy slacking.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

I’d Cobain myself before I took that job.

      • Shiny Nerfherder

I’ll take the Michael Hutchence route.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

A surprising number of people go out like that. RIP David Carridine.

    • Grosspatzer

      Mornin’.

I’m going long on popcorn, this will be an entertaining campaign season. I really hope DeSantis runs, I can’t wait to see what SugarFree comes up with for that.

  39. Stinky Wizzleteats

Well, he’s running…what’s a good investment strategy for another six years of President Biden? Maybe I can emigrate to England or something.

    • Lackadaisical

      Go long on Ukraine?

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

As things stand right now I’d rather end up in the Central African Republic than the Ukraine even taking into account the attractiveness of the women.

      • Lackadaisical

No, I meant for your investments. I wouldn’t move there either. That is crazy.

    • robodruid

With the Governor of Arizona and the Senator from Pennsylvania, its shown that the dems can refuse to debate with Biden…

Would Desantis pick different people that Trump as department secretaries? Would they pick different judges?
Funny, two nights ago we talked about the same thing wrt England.

      • Lackadaisical

“Would Desantis pick different people that Trump as department secretaries? Would they pick different judges?”

I think so, at least at the department level, Judges I’m less sure as I don’t think the conservative bench of lawyers is that big. With his experience in Florida, he wouldn’t be adverse to tossing out all the career people left over from Biden et al. Which was one of the huge mistakes Trump made. Desantis has been good on getting rid of people who oppose him in the lower ranks where ever he can.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

De is smarter and more disciplined than Trump and as Covid shows is capable of learning from his mistakes.

      • Lackadaisical

Exactly. If there ever was a 2nd Trump presidency, he would make all the same mistakes he made before.

I still like him way over any democrat, of course.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

This too, they can hide amyloid brain in the basement and Trump’s very presence will drive the turnout. He can refuse to debate based on “not wanting to legitimize such a divisive and loathesome person” and they can still win with the mail in voting bullshit.

      • rhywun

Yep. The only way a not-D wins is by landslide. Anything less will be fortified until the D wins.

    • Lackadaisical

I occasionally see facebook posts… someone is already saying they will leave the country if he wins. I instantly started rooting for good ol’ donnie.

Also, bitch, I bet you didn’t leave last time. Fucking empty promises.

      • Lackadaisical

Huh, that came out totally wrong- I meant the person posting it on facebook… not you.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

I’d take him over any Dem but I hope someone else can manage to get the nomination in a way that doesn’t drive off his supporters. He won’t be allowed to win the presidency.

      • Lackadaisical

“I’d take him over any Dem ”

He was unironically the best president of my lifetime, hell yes I would take him over socialism and actual government enforced racism.

” I hope someone else can manage to get the nomination in a way that doesn’t drive off his supporters.”
Donnie is unable to allow this to happen, so that won’t be how things go.

“He won’t be allowed to win the presidency.”

Yup. I personally think this seals it for the dems in 2024. After that election, Desantis is going to run no matter what and it won’t be pretty, putting those two against each other.

    • Rat on a train

Maybe not six years. There’s still the 25A option. More likely if they can fortify the Georgia runoff.

  40. Toxteth O'Grady

Can I send cash or cheque c/o a little cafe in Alfred? I think I found it on the Googly map.

    • PieInTheSky

No, you have to go there and put it directly in OMC’s gstring

    • Grummun

Hypothetically, if such a donation were to be made via USPS, would the check be made out to Glibs Foundation? Asking for a friend,

  41. Lackadaisical

Office 365 is literal ass cancer.

    Fuck you microsoft.

    • Rat on a train

      I hate Teams.

      • Lackadaisical

Not as bad as autosaving to cloud, and also taking seventeen clicks to save locally at a new location. What was wrong with ‘save as…’

      • UnCivilServant

“save as” locally reduces the amount of data gathering MicroSoft gets to do. Put it on your OneDrive so they can parse it for anything that might be used for their gain.

      • Gender Traitor

Our work PCs are set up to open Teams automatically when you log on, even though it gets minimal use by anyone on any given day. Then it takes forever to close at the end of the day, and says, “Are you sure you want to close?” Yes, I want to close! I didn’t want to open it in the first place!

      • UnCivilServant

The only feature that works decently is the instant messenger. The problem is people keep trying to use the other ‘features’ in the program that are not as good as any of the dedicated applications which perform the same function but not shittily. No, I do not want to have a teams voice call, the audio is wonky as fuck and the interface won’t let me change connection options. No, I don’t want to use it as a document repository, we have six million better ways to share documents – why did you put that there, [redacted]? Why are there six dozen different settings screens accessed from eight dozen different points in the application, with no overlap in what they configure?

      • Gender Traitor

Our computer-based phone system has an IM feature folks are more likely to use…except for that one person who insists on sending IMs via Teams because “all employees have access to Teams, but not all have their own phone extension” (i.e. tellers.) So they send an IM in Teams and wonder why I don’t see it for hours.

There is such a thing as too many ways to communicate.

      • UnCivilServant

I lost track of the number of ways I have to communicate with people.

The IT folks I work with most of the time use email or Teams IM for communication depending on how official something is. If it’s casual, it’s an IM. If it’s official and might need to be referenced, it’s an email. If it’s really official, it’s a ticket to go along with the email.

New supervisor has an unhealthy preference for phone calls. Why should I have to find his number and call just for a five second reminder about something I hadn’t gotten done yet?

  42. Gender Traitor

Good morning, RoaT, Lack, TO’G (hope you’re feeling all better after your bout with the suspected flu!), Stinky, ‘bodru, ‘patzie, Shiny, Sean, and rhy, and good afternoon, Pie!

Dang – that’s an awful lot of you for me to greet when I’ve hardly had a sip of my coffee!

    • UnCivilServant

      Morning, GT.

View from the office window is the dismal in-between of patchy snowfall and early winter rains.

      • Gender Traitor

Good morning, U! As for the weather, ick. The dreaded “wintry mix.”

      • UnCivilServant

I found no ice on my sidewalk, so I concluded the roads were not icy either, and my commute proved that conclusion right. So I’m in the office, though I’d love to have stayed home.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

So, from upthread…Curse of Oak Island is still a thing? They haven’t found that damn treasure yet?

      • UnCivilServant

Oh, they found the treasure – syndication and spin-offs.

Doesn’t matter if there’s anything in the ground as long as they can sell TV shows.

      • Gender Traitor

        +1 Beyond Oak Island

      • Gender Traitor

From what I recall from when my eyes were open, they keep finding more stuff at various spots all over the island, so the hype is that they’re Getting Close. Still exploring a strong suspected Templar connection. We shall see.

    • Toxteth O'Grady

      Morning, mama duck. 🦆 Quack-quack waddle-waddle!

      • Gender Traitor

        I wanna be Head Duck!

    • Lackadaisical

      ‘morning GT.

Seems Trump even drives glib engagement.

      • UnCivilServant

        You’re being silly.

        I’m here regardless.

    • Sean

      *waves*

  43. Shiny Nerfherder

    It truly is clown world.

    https://caitlinjohnstone.com/2022/11/12/zelensky-and-bush-to-give-joint-pro-war-presentation/

War criminal George W Bush and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky will be appearing at an event next week at the George W. Bush Presidential Center, in partnership with US government-funded narrative management operations Freedom House and National Endowment for Democracy. The goal of the presentation will reportedly be to address the completely fictional and imaginary concern that congressional Republicans won’t continue supporting US proxy war efforts in Ukraine.

    • Shiny Nerfherder

Milley is calling for negotiations. It’s obvious that the DOD is not fully on board with the neocons at State.

Their apparent plan is to turn Ukraine into a wasteland by dragging out this war as long as possible in order to weaken Russia without broadening the conflict into the rest of Europe. It’s as cynical and dangerous a gambit as I think I’ve ever seen and I am ashamed of my country for it.

And that’s not mentioning how I feel about Somalia and Yemen.

  44. Yusef drives a Kia

Howdy folks! Another fantastic day begins, cold and slippery, perfect for delivering auto parts🙄🌨

    • Rat on a train

Slippery should increase the demand for auto parts.

      • Yusef drives a Kia

It does, the auto body shops are booked through the end of the year,

  45. UnCivilServant

Why is it around this time every morning, the early morning activity slacks off until the lynx drop?

    • Shiny Nerfherder

Got to work at 5:30am, I ought to get some work done.

    • robodruid

People getting ready for work as opposed to those of us who are already working? Or working from home.
      East coast time vs pacific?

      Good Morning BTW

      • UnCivilServant

Morning. How’s it going in your neck of the woods? How are the animals?

      • robodruid

        Animals are ok.
We have moved the milk sheep and the Scotty’s around so they can breed separately.
Need to AI the cow. The baby cow (about 6 months old) was in the mooooooood a couple of days ago. Kinda cute.

Need to get more hay. Its going to be grass hay this time.

We are going to try these chickens this winter:
        https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bresse_Gauloise

Wife has arranged for me to learn how to properly slaughter them. She is tired of the chicken show drama and want to focus more on eating birds. (they are also excellent egg chickens)

      • UnCivilServant

        Hrmm… winter camouflaged chickens…

    • Gender Traitor

This is when I really do have to go clean up and get dressed for work, then get out the door by about 8 to get to the office by 8:30.

      • UnCivilServant

That’s an awfully late start time… do you work banker’s hours or something? 😛

      • rhywun

*wistfully remembers when it was 9 to 5*

      • UnCivilServant

That just seems monstrously late to me.

        / 7 to 3

      • rhywun

        It’s 8 to 5 now. Lots of people slow-roll the start but I don’t.

But I will if they demand I return to the office because I won’t happily get up an hour and a half earlier than I do now.

      • UnCivilServant

I don’t blame you, I have a hard enough time getting out the door by six when I have to commute. (It doesn’t take an hour to get to the office for me, but I leave extra time in just in case)

      • Shiny Nerfherder

I was rooting for Dabney Coleman

      • rhywun

Heh. He is great at playing assholes.
