Police are asking a bystander who shot and killed a man who was in the act of robbing people inside a Houston restaurant to come forward for questioning.
The incident happened around 11:30 p.m. Thursday night. The video showed the masked man walking into a taqueria in the 6800 block of South Gessner Rd.
He then points a gun at patrons and demands money.
One customer pulled out his firearm and fired nine shots at the robber. Once the robber hit the ground, the customer continued firing as he approached the suspect and took his gun, after he took that gun video showed the customer let off a final shot in the direction of the robber’s head, and he died at the scene.
After the robber was down, the shooter realized the gun he was brandishing was fake and angrily tossed it against a wall.
That’s one hard core motherfucker.

That last shot is gonna be a problem.
There’s no legal obligation to be right about every aspect of a violent assault. If it’s used like a real gun, the law treats it as a real gun – if the bad guy had been arrested, he would have been charged with armed robbery even though the gun was fake.
The last shot to the head, after the bad guy was already out of the fight, is gonna be a problem (assuming that it even happened – it wasn’t on the video.) There are a few circumstances in which you can explain away an anchor shot, but this wasn’t one of them.
I don’t recall a headshot from when I saw the video. But anyway, don’t want to get ventilated and die of lead poisoning? Don’t rob people.

Ugh this work around to remote into one of my systems is driving me nuts. We have to use ancient 2400 baud modems and HyperTerm. Everything connects fine but I don’t know if the USB-Serial adapter is doing something or if the work around just doesnt work.
For some reason, when I enter a command like ctrl-l to login, the row and column is printing on the screen as a command. Even when I receive text from the remote end, it is putting breaks, etc as the row and column.
So something like, if I enter ctrl-l it will do R4C12^L
Interwebs isn’t helpful and not even sure how to ask that question.
Normally its a WYSE-50 terminal, but we emulate with HyperTerm and VT-100…I can get into every other aspect of the system that allows such connections with no problems.

It does the job really, no need to put a high speed modem on it since it really is just for remote access to perform some tasks. Its just isn’t working. Our maintenance order DOES allow to have a different modem and I can configure for up to 19200? We are supposedly getting something put in place which I am sure Raytheon is making money off of rather than my idea which was buy RaspPIs and emulate via that…like we do with our other systems.
