Good!

Nothing happening here in sports. But across the pond, the UCL knockout rounds are underway. Spuds and PSG are in an early hole as they both lost their first leg 1-0 to AC Milan and Bayern respectively. Now on to the news.

Adios, you stupid asshole. I don’t think she’ll be missed by many people. Except maybe the men she helped settle comfortably in women’s prisons.

It’s amateur hour. Nobody knows what the hell they’re doing.

“Where the hell am I?”

It’s about freaking time. This woman has no idea where she is or what she’s doing anymore. And if she had any respect for the position, she’d resign immediately instead of 23 months from now.

This kid is a boss. Now we wait for someone to expose something he said when he was 12 in a bid to discredit him as a racist or something. Because I’m sure the media are digging around for it as we speak.

As if this is going to matter. The media, aside from the NY Post, Fox News, and Daily Mail, got over this kind of thing a little more than two years ago.

OK to Evansville.

What is the world coming to? Can a man not whip his dick out in public and take a piss on an electrical box without being accosted by city workers?

Oh good lord. “Fell prey” is what you and your current wife did with Harvey Weinstein when you were chasing money and power through him. What your former wife did was adapt to a work culture.

The entire government of this municipality has to go. The corruption there has gotten to levels reserved for Chicago and New York.

Let’s rock this morning. Such a strong tune all the way through. And here’s a rollicking track that’ll get your feet moving. Enjoy them both.

And enjoy this lovely Wednesday, dear friends.

“This woman has no idea where she is or what she’s doing anymore. ”

    So she could be President?

    • Sean

      *polite applause*

    • Drake

They still plan to drag her senile corpse around to vote the party line for the next year-and-a-half.

      • R C Dean

Newsom would appoint somebody equally reliable to replace her. And equally bright, most likely.

      • Drake

Which is what should happen rather than elderly abuse. But maybe he wants that seat for himself.

Adios, you stupid asshole. I don’t think she’ll be missed by many people. Except maybe the men she helped settle comfortably in women’s prisons. – to be replaced by more of the same I assume

    • UnCivilServant

Well, yeah, the SNP is full of her sort, and they seem to have a lock on the Scotland machine.

      • Not Adahn

SNP – demanding that Scotland not be ruled by London, but by Brussels!

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

The Scots would be greatly benefited by an English reconquista. Where’s Edward Longshanks when you need him?

      • UnCivilServant

He’d have to liberate England first.

      • rhywun

Yeah, devolution in Scotland and Wales has left them in the hands of their respective “nationalist” parties that default to “crazy leftist” for some reason.

      • Scruffyy Nerfherder

It really is sad and pathetic.

Although I agree with the premise, fuck these hypocrites, it’s tough for me to put any more stock in the accuracy of these numbers than one should for the kid who posited that Americans use eleventy-trillion straws per second which lead to the shitty fucking paper straws most of us now need to use in public (while these fuckers like Gates say that their carbon use in nets is okay because they pay lots of money to “offset” it.

      60. That’s it.

I don’t care how alert anyone is, 60 and it’s time to leave politics. Making decisions that will affect those generations younger without any accountability is immoral and unethical. My position is not of being elected pre-60, it’s one of serving post-60.

There are many jobs that mandate an age cut-off. For the robust post-60 go to the private sector, bring the life experiences and provide benefits to those that can use the services voluntarily.

      • DEG

Some states have mandatory retirement ages for judges. I think NH is 70 and PA is 75? Or is it the other way around? I can’t remember and I’m not going to look it up.

A bit higher than your standard of 60, but a standard none the less.

    You won’t be disappointed.

    • Pat

I remember somebody posted one of her Instatokgrambook snaps when she got elected and I had some old fuck snarky comment about the realization that e-thots and social media clout chasers are now being elected to congress. I haven’t changed my mind, but still, hubba hubba.

    • Pope Jimbo

The Man is already trying to take her down.

“Holy shit the Washington post just tried to claim my dad was never incarcerated, left out comments from my mom, said I was a registered Democrat, and did not report a convo they had with a former roommate, and interviewed “family” I don’t talk to. This is comical,” Luna tweeted on Friday.

Despite bothering to speak to multiple people internationally in pursuit of the Luna scoop, the initial Post story got a couple of key facts wrong. It described Luna as a “registered Democrat” in Washington, a state that has not required party registration for two decades. A further clarification concedes that while Luna’s roommate was the only person interviewed by police after the break-in, Luna is mentioned in the police report. The Post also said it couldn’t verify that Luna’s father had been in jail — when court records show that he was. Luna also posted a picture of him in a jumpsuit.

    • Scruffyy Nerfherder

      AOC’s got nothing on that.

And she appears to be intelligent.

When I started thinking about learning how to airbrush, I told myself I wouldn’t actually buy one until I’d cleaned up the space I intended to use and got the storage and workspace prepared.

Of course that was the cue for temptation to roll in. I spotted an entry-level Iwata airbrush at Hobby Lobby for less than what Amazon was asking. (From what I’ve researched so far, Iwata is one of the more quality brands out there). I forced myself to not buy it, but temptation gnaws at me…

    • The Other Kevin

You inspired me to pull out my airbrush the other day. It needed to be cleaned so I watched some YouTube about it and did that, and I plan on painting some this weekend.

I got mine on sale. Blick used to send a coupon in the email every week, and I figured out their pattern. I waited for the 40% off coupon and used that. Unfortunately they don’t email coupons anymore.

      • The Other Kevin

I use it for watercolor. Originally I wanted to paint pinup girls but I never got comfortable enough with it. Olivia Deberardinis does some amazing work that’s a combination of brush and airbrush: https://eolivia.com/

I have a Paasche, top load, and I’ve only put watercolor in it.

      • R C Dean

        Three thumbs up!

      • Nephilium

Speaking of pin-up girls… Viva has announced the finalists for the Queen of the Carshow competition (main page SFW, clicking through to the contestants gets questionable). Of the finalists, I met one last year… which has a story attached to it.

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., will retire from Congress at the end of 2024 after three decades in the Senate and over 50 years in public office, she announced Tuesday.

“I am announcing today I will not run for reelection in 2024 but intend to accomplish as much for California as I can through the end of next year when my term ends,” Feinstein said in a statement.

    • Pope Jimbo

I wish they hadn’t cut the video. I wanted to hear his response to the reporters’ first question (which surely was: “Exactly when and where did these earlier balloon flights that you claim happened take place? And how did you ‘detect’ them?”)

Wait. What? No reporter asked that question?

      • Rat on a train

“Our friends in the CCP provided us a schedule.”

      • WTF

      • WTF

Why the hell are they using expensive missiles against balloons? Just shoot them with the on-board 20mm cannons.

      • UnCivilServant

I have a couple of jokes about that.

        “We didn’t train on gunnery”

“We sent the 20mm to Ukraine”

“We needed to use the old missiles so we could buy more.”

Though the most likely explaination is that the 20mm holes in a baloon deflate too slowly, the missiles rip the thing to shreds and it drops immediately.

      • WTF

But wouldn’t it be good to drop it more slowly, so we can easily find it and have it more intact to see what exactly it is and what it’s carrying on board?

      • UnCivilServant

And risk people finding out not all of them are Chinese Spy Balloons?

      • Count Potato

Because then they can bu more missiles?

If it’s a huge balloon, poking 20mm holes in it would take a long time to deflate it.

      • R C Dean

High volume, low pressure, relatively tiny holes = very, very slow and unpredictable descent.

      • WTF

But the cannons on those jets are Gatling guns. Just keep poking holes until you get the desired rate of descent.

      • UnCivilServant

With the low velocity of the balloon, the time on target for firing the cannon is really small.

      • WTF

It’s not like the jets can’t turn and do multiple strafing runs.

      • UnCivilServant

But why bother? I mean it’s just taxpayer money, fire the missile and go home.

  18. Pope Jimbo

Fourscore, you owe King Walz an apology! You are always bringing up questions about his bravery and how he deserted retired from his National Guard unit the second they were ordered to deploy to Iraq. But look at this story! He is now deploying overseas as Commander in Chief of the Minnesoda troops.

Gov. Tim Walz is traveling to Norway Tuesday to celebrate Minnesota’s military and economic relationship with the northern European country.

During the four-day trip, Walz will participate in the official State Partnership Program signing ceremony, celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Norwegian Reciprocal Troop Exchange (NOREX) and meet with His Majesty King Harald V.

The SPP will strengthen the partnership between Minnesota’s and Norway’s militaries, and “symbolizes a shared commitment to alliance and defense,” according to the governor’s office. In addition to expanding Minnesota’s relationship with the Norwegian military, the Minnesota Guard has already shared a partnership with Croatia for 27 years.

NOREX first began in 1974 between about 40 Minnesota National Guard members and Norwegian Home Guard Youth. Since 1985, about 100 Minnesota soldiers each year travel to Norway, and the same number of Norwegian soldiers come to Camp Ripley in Little Falls.

Norway can sleep easy knowing King Walz and his Fierce 100 are ready to defend their country.

    • Michael Malaise

Smells like white supremacy. And Lutefisk.

    • Fourscore

“The SPP will strengthen the partnership between Minnesota’s and Norway’s militaries.”

Norway’s military must be getting ready to tackle Lichtenstein and needs some scrimmage time.

Gov Walz answered all criticisms with his strong military bearing and a fast decision.

“Well, let’s have pie and turn away from it.”

I adjust the age limits above from 60 to a retroactive 50, in Walz’s case. Though he has learned a lot from watching the TC burn and loot and riot a few years back. Give him credit for that

        I don’t, the city isn’t safe.

      • Pope Jimbo

I might give you the suburbs, but rural?

Nope. Especially kids. Those poor farm kids have to walk everywhere and ride their bikes miles to play with the neighbors.

Do the core city people jog? In the suburbs where I live, the walking paths are crowded with joggers and walkers getting their steps in. (Even in winter).

      • Sensei

Young people in the city? Yes – I dodge them on sidewalks and especially parks.

And the lawless bicyclists are chock a block.

My experience with my farming friends was that they were generally quite active as kids, but once you got that sweet driver’s license that was all over. Most of the farmers I know had a good size belly, but were strong as an ox.

There are more variables at play.

Convicted murderer Ralph Apmann remains at large on Tuesday night, authorities say.

Apmann, 58, was a no-show at his murder trial on Monday in Windom, Minn.

By the time he went missing in southwestern Minnesota, the jury had already heard from the prosecution about the charges against Apmann. He is accused of putting Juan Morales-Rivera in a fatal chokehold following a dispute at the Phat Pheasant Pub in Windom on Aug. 26, 2021.

There is a minister who I used to watch some of his marriage related stuff (I think he is retired now) who recommended that divorced parents with kids not remarry and blend families, that best is to wait until kids are grown before remarrying. “CANADA: Man Who Raped Infant Quietly Moved to Prison with Mother-Baby Unit After Transgender Claim

A Canadian man who was convicted of the horrific rape of a 3-month-old infant boy has begun identifying as transgender while incarcerated and is currently being held in a women’s correctional facility with a mother and child unit.

In 1997, Adam Laboucan sexually assaulted a three-month-old baby boy in Quesnel, British Columbia. Laboucan was 15-years-old at the time and had been hired to babysit the child. The infant was so brutally injured by the attack that he had to be flown to Vancouver, 410 miles away, to undergo reconstructive surgery.

After committing the horrific assault, Laboucan “mutilated himself and ate his own flesh,” according to news reports…..”

The Biden administration on Tuesday secured its 100th federal court appointment, as the U.S. Senate approved Gina Méndez-Miró as the first openly LGBTQ American judge to serve on the federal district court in Puerto Rico.

Méndez-Miró, previously a Puerto Rico appeals court judge, was approved in the Senate on a 54 to 45 vote.

Senate Democrats and the Biden administration have vowed to continue to fast-track efforts in the new year to reshape the federal judiciary, choosing demographically diverse candidates and nominees with varied legal experiences. Of Biden’s 100 judges, 76 thus far have been women and 68 have been people of color, according to Senate Democrats.

Huel ads banned for misleading food savings claim

    https://www.bbc.com/news/business-64637704

But Huel did not show its products were cheaper than traditional food, the Advertising Standards Authority said.

The firm, which has pulled the ads, said it took its advertising responsibilities seriously.

Huel was founded by entrepreneurs Julian Hearn and James Collier who named it by combining “human” and “fuel”.

It claims when mixed with water its powders provide “complete nutrition”, are a healthy alternative to traditional meals and can “help you lose, gain, or maintain weight”.
A Huel advert which ran on Facebook in August and September 2022 claimed that Huel “helps keep money in your pockets”, adding that a month’s worth cost less than £50.The watchdog ruled that Huel didn’t make it clear enough that the £50 claim was based on having one meal replacement per day.

To get the recommended amount of calories for a day, an average woman would have to eat five Huel portions, the ASA added.

That would cost about £350 a month, while an average man would need to eat more.

    Science says…

Alternatives to terms like “male” and “female” and “mother” and “father” should be sought in science because they assume that sex is binary and heterosexuality is the norm, a group of researchers from the US and Canada suggests.

Male and female should instead be referred to as “sperm-producing” and “egg-producing,” the Ecology and Evolutionary Biology (EEB) Language Project said, according to the Times of London.

Meanwhile, father and mother should be labeled “parent,” “egg donor” and “sperm donor” in the scientific field.

Nah, go fuck yourself. There IS a binary. Heterosexuality IS the norm. It is biologically necessary for reproduction.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

Egg donor and sperm donor? They really are trying to destroy the concept of family aren’t they?

Oh look it at that. Gov Kotex appointed Lavoy Finnicum’s murderer as head of the state police. The only reason the public knows that is it was accidentally divulged in trial because the local media conspired to withhold the names of the cops involved. Unlike all those times they’ve sued to release and air minor public records for prurient purposes. Also not mentioned, then or now, is Codding’s history of officer involved shootings, including two within exactly a month apart.
