What more is there to say?

    Lobster is gross.

    • R.J.

      It’s not kosher, is it?

    • Plinker762

      Dungeness is were it’s at.

      • dbleagle

I will either species both with great gusto.

I do miss crabbing for Dungeness while anchored in the PNW.

      • Fourscore

In days gone by the local casino had Crab Legs, all you could eat, on Fridays. My preference was snow crab but they had Dungeness, most folks went snow. Over the years the price continued on higher and higher. Finally they changed the restaurant to fast food kiosks and covid came along. We weren’t there for the gambling and with no crab night specials we haven’t been there for 6-7 years or so. Parking lot still seems to full though.

      • Plinker762

I still get to go crabbing out of Anacortes. One does get spoiled having crab fresh out of the pot.

      • Zwak , who will swing for the crime, in double time!

I love Anacortes. Bud at the antique shop on the way in is a favorite for me to BS with.

      • dbleagle

Anacortes is a very nice town with great small boat facilities.

    • Chafed

Yeah, but Lobster Girl is hot.

    • Gadfly

It’s an excuse to eat butter, IMO.

    Mmmm… Lobster Girl

Hello from the asteroid belt! I’m looking for a diamond rock that is between phobos and Ceres, with luck I can a make bank,
    Interspace Tall Cans!

    • MikeS

      Shazbat! Nanu nanu.

      🍻

      • Tundra

The Mork and Mindy house is in Boulder. I can’t imagine living in such a place. I’d probably mount an M2 on the porch!

      • rhywun

        Gah! I hated that show.

      • Zwak , who will swing for the crime, in double time!

If you were cool, you would have worn the suspenders, like all the cool kids did.

You know you wanted a pair!

      • Fourscore

Moj, the lunchbox was my folks’ grad gift to me. It was a very strong hint. I only used a year and a half. I wish I still had it, it would be in the mail for your fave grad.

      • Mojeaux, XX

Oh, I really would have liked that!

      • MikeS

Yeah, I really wasn’t much of a fan. Truth be told, I was never much of a Robin Williams fan.

But I did have a pair of the suspenders.

      • Fourscore

I just got some new ones a day or so ago, from my buddy at Amazon. I need them to hold up my britches ’cause a belt just doesn’t work for me anymore.

      • MikeS

Ha! I think my dad has the same buddy at Amazon.

      • rhywun

Robin Williams was decent in Hook and Jumanji.

I hated everything else I saw him in.

      • MikeS

I liked Good Morning Vietnam. And Mrs. Doubtfire was OK the first time. But much like Jim Carey, his exaggerated schtick wears thin quick for me.

      • Zwak , who will swing for the crime, in double time!

His standup in the early eighties was pretty good, but, yeah, he staled out.

      • MikeS

I’ve never seen any of his standup. I’ll try to remember and seek out some of it.

      • The Hyperbole

Just looked at his filmography it appears he did as many or more serious roles than the maniac stuff, also learned that Christopher Nolan directed Insomnia. I’d say I like about 75% of his work.

      • Not Adahn

I generally like his work, even Aladdin and Dead Poets Society.

      • Tres Cool

Robin Williams interviewed by Craig Ferguson is decent to watch.

      • Pat

I thought The Survivors was good, but my dad and I are the only two people on planet earth who did, so that just leaves me now. Death to Smoochy is probably his best comedy.

Good Will Hunting and What Dreams May Come were pretty good.

If he killed himself on account of subjecting the world to Bicentennial Man then I can’t say I’d disagree with him.

      • DrOtto

        Cadillac Man was OK.

  5. Shpip

    In tonight’s “voter fraud doesn’t exist” chronicles…

Ninth county jail inmate sentenced for voter fraud.

Seems like the county Supervisor of Elections had a voter drive in the county jail, and didn’t bother to vet the folks who signed up. And this is just one medium-populated county in one state.

And in case you were wondering, nothing is going to happen to the local government official who signed up the ineligible voters.

  6. Animal

  7. Zwak , who will swing for the crime, in double time!

Here a Schloss Zwakenstein, we are dealing with the passing of my wife’s aunt. Which, OK, that is sad, as she didn’t make it to 70, but in the decades we have been together, I never once met this woman, the younger sister of my mother in law. The wife has mentioned her maybe once or twice (literally), but this is hitting Frau Z. like a freight train. I always forget how much death seems to affect her, being the uncaring bastard I am. She is such a introvert, with so little contact with her family (her mother was cast aside as a heathen, for not following in the hardcore Polish Catholic tradition, along with being preggers when married) that it always catches me off-guard.

Anyhoo, I am drinking a watermelon sour, in anticipation of summer. It is only 69* out right now, which, as we know, is bullshit. Also, grilling a bavette steak, to eat with salad or burritos, or whatever catches our fancy when said wife gets home.

Finally, shotgun shells for old English guns are not very common, and UPS charges way too much for shipping them. Hazmat? Assmat, more likely.

    • DEG

Here a Schloss Zwakenstein, we are dealing with the passing of my wife’s aunt.

      Sorry.

    • pistoffnick

      bavette steak

First I have ever heard of it.

      /down a rabbit hole…

      • pistoffnick

        Sorry about your wife’s aunt.

      • Zwak , who will swing for the crime, in double time!

The wife is friends with most of the local small farmers, and we eat a lot of the CSA products from them, meat and veg. So, we often get the weirder cuts, among other things I have never heard of.

    • Zwak , who will swing for the crime, in double time!

Thanks guys, I will pass it on.

    • MikeS

I feel for Frau Z. I can’t imagine having so little contact with my family. Condolences to her.

    • Pat

Sorry to hear about your wife’s aunt.

With my parents both gone, there’s officially no one left in my family whose death I will give a shit about. I guess being a bunch of complete and total irredeemable assholes at least spared me having to grieve for them.

      • Zwak , who will swing for the crime, in double time!

Apparently, everyone else in that group are as you say; irredeemable assholes. This one just happened to be the last nice one.

  8. Tres Cool

    There was talk….of gerbils!

    • MikeS

Looks like you need some wolves to keep the deer population in check. 😉

      • Gender Traitor

I’d rather have some predator to keep the trash panda population in check. 😒🦝🦝🦝

    • Tres Cool

Fun fact- a friend of mine in Northern Ky (southern Cincinnati) was walking her dog and their were attacked by a fawn with her doe.
Doge is doing OK, but that deer fucked her up.

      • Gender Traitor

You told me about that! Is the dogie getting better? (Your friend wasn’t hurt too, was she?)

  9. Fourscore

All day was hazy with the Canadian smoke, sunshine was orange, could smell the smoke and lots of mosquitoes and deer flies. This evening the wind picked up a little from the north and the haze and mosquitoes both lighten up. More of the same tomorrow. Dry but with all the snow we had the woods greened up and the under story is leafy.

Garden is way ahead of usual for this time of the year. Picked bac choi today, first thing out of the garden. Radishes will be next. Lots of weeds.

    • MikeS

      Death, taxes, and weeds.

    • pistoffnick

      Picked bac choi today

      /jealous

    • Sean

      I love radishes.

  10. MikeS

Just got done cutting STEEL SMITH with a beam of plasma. Time for a cigar.

    • pistoffnick

      freehand or CNC?

      pics?

      • The Hyperbole

If someone didn’t want the large footprint stand could you make ones with rebars welded to the feet so you could stick it in the ground?

      • MikeS

Absolutely. Would make them easier to mail, too. And I happen to have a pile of 3/8″ rebar looking for a project.

That’s actually a good idea. Stopped clock and all. 😜

      • The Hyperbole

Oh, I got tons of good ideas. As those would be ideal beverage holders at either end of a cornhole/bocce court you should integrate a score keeping system as well. Instead of giving the white supremacy signal perhaps his rear hand could hold a flip style scoring thing.

      • The Hyperbole

After further thought I think it’d work better if you mounted something to the beverage holder part, a flip thing or I’ve seen some that are just a row of numbers and a slider or magnet that you can move to keep score.

      • MikeS

I like this idea. If it’s magnetic, it could just stick to his body, too. Etsy is full of drink holder/cornhole scoring. I’ll see if I can borrow an idea.

      • pistoffnick

        Price?

      • MikeS

        $75

      • pistoffnick

Are you coming to Honey Harvest this year?

      • MikeS

I am planning on it, yes.

      • pistoffnick

Save me one. Cash (+ delivery fee) on delivery.

      • MikeS

        You got it, Nick!

      • anti pro state

I’ll get in line for a rebar-anchored version. Do you have a sales website? If not, send me a bill. Starkja at proton mail. I can arrange the shipping, if necessary.

      • R.J.

Agreed. Sell those somewhere. Etsy or something. I will save up and get one.

      • MikeS

I’ll start working on the rebar version ASAP. No, I don’t have a website yet, but I am working on it.

I’ll look into the best way to box it up and how much shipping would be. I’ll send you an email later tonight or tomorrow so we can be in touch. Thanks!

    • Chafed

That’s awesome. Do you do custom work? How much for all 4 members of Steel Panther?

      • MikeS

        Thanks! I dodo custom work.

I gotta think of something Feel The Steel related.

      • Chafed

🤘🤘 Let me know what you can do.

      • Zwak , who will swing for the crime, in double time!

        Heh, you said doodoo.

The coffee at Wankers Country Store is good but they only have fake cream.

    • MikeS

      Fake cream?! Fucking Wankers.

      • Tres Cool

Since Jugsy has been binge-watching Married With Children: “You know Peggy. Peggy Wanker. Dont bother to thank her.”

This remarkable barn find of 20 historic Ferraris was discovered in a barn which collapsed during Hurricane Charley – damaging some of them in the process. The cars were then moved to a warehouse not far from the historic Indianapolis 500 circuit, where they were largely forgotten.

These Ferraris are now being called the “Lost & Found Collection,” they include a number of historic vehicles including veterans of Le Mans, the Targa Florio, and the Mille Miglia. The cars will be auctioned individually by RM Sotheby’s in mid-August. Some will likely sell in the low five figures, while others may push up into the seven figure range.

For car people, this is the find of the century.

    • R.J.

That’s cool. I saw the wrecked husk is expected to go for more than 1M.

    • DrOtto

Is the coke mirror intact in the glovebox of the Testarossa?

    • Chafed

      That is a sweet find.

    • MikeS

I want to know how much for the Sears semi-trailer.

    • Gadfly

      Cool cars.

  13. Festus

Hello Friends! I tried to join up with the Zoom but alas, I only Toobined. I’m always a day or two behind on comments.

    • Toxteth O'Grady

      Festivus! No grievances to air?

  14. Festus

By the by, I love you Sugarfree, but not in a Hunter sort of way.

  15. Gustave Lytton

    Happy Army birthday. 🎂

    • UnCivilServant

I don’t come here for abuse.

      • Sean

Where do you go for abuse?

      • UnCivilServant

I get enough from ambient sources day to day.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

I know a place but it costs extra.

      • Grosspatzer

No need to travel, there’s always self abuse.

    • Gender Traitor

Good morning, Sean, U, and Stinky.

***SIGH!!!*** This damn cat had to have the abscess on his bottom sutured yesterday, and the little stinker has figured out how to pull the Cone of Shame off! 😒😸

“”Nightmare Scenario”: US Government Has Been Secretly Stockpiling Dirt On Americans Via Data Brokers”
    https://www.zerohedge.com/technology/nightmare-scenario-us-government-has-been-secretly-stockpiling-dirt-americans-data

Government purchasing and consolidating data purchased from third parties they’d be barred from collecting on their own. A nightmare scenario? Maybe but only for those who who’ve been fast asleep for the past 20 years-you gotta put on the They Live glasses man.

    • Scruffyy Nerfherder

It’s not going to end until the government does.

The thirst for data is unquenchable.

    • Sean

Not even a little bit surprised.

  17. Grosspatzer

    Mornin’, reprobates!

    • Gender Traitor

      Good morning, ‘patzie!

I was very lucky hat Lily was not interested in pulling out her stiches, Because the very first night she took off her CoS and chewed it into pieces.

      • hayeksplosives

        Good morning, you crazy crackers.

        I haven’t slept a wink tonight.

Hopefully everyone is having a less stressful week than mine has been! Still, I’m too stubborn to die so you’re still stuck with me when I get back .

    • hayeksplosives

      Sounds legit. 🙄

Everyone who’s watched the scientific documentary “Mars Attacks!” knows that first contact was made right here in Pahrump…and if wasn’t pretty.
