Inspired by RJ’s article on gaslighting, I’m going to go ahead and throw another conspiracy at you involving blood sucking government parasites.
This is my review of OSHO Ales from the Crypt Cake Eater:
After spending three years going from calling COVID the China Virus because its the virus that came from China and listening to talking heads in the government and media going from the virus came from a lab leaks, animal origins, weird animal origins, then wet markets, then to discussion of anything outside the the wet market theory being nothing but naked racism, to okay maybe it was a lab leak, to no its still probably not a lab leak (TW: “To be sure”)—have we done this before?
Probably. Anyone ever spending any amount of time outdoors in a humid environment or at the very least owned a dog, has come across the scourge of ticks. Ticks spread a boriella bacterial infection known as, Lyme Disease. Described nearly flawlessly by Principal Skinner on the Simpsons.
The spread vector being a mundane pest that easily spreads itself via contact with other mammals like deer and particularly domesticated mammals like dogs makes it the perfect cover for a bacterial toxin that makes even the healthiest person feel like complete, utter shit…but perhaps not kill him. In our world where conspiracy is just a foreshadowed common knowledge once it is no longer vital to the security state, this sounds all too convenient.
Turns out pre-pandemic this was actually a widely accepted theory among scientists:
While the PIADC claims that its facility “does not and has not performed research on Lyme Disease”, we should keep in mind that the existence of biological warfare experiments on Plum Island during the Cold War era was denied for decades by the U.S. government. In 1993, however, when Newsday unearthed previously classified documents proving that such experiments had taken place, the U.S. government’s denials were revealed to the world to have been a lie. As also confirmed by the New York Times, the documents uncovered by Newsdaycontained plans to disrupt the Soviet economy by spreading diseases to kill its livestock. In view of this history, any modern-day denials relating to the activities of PIADC should clearly be taken with the proverbial grain of salt.
I know what you’re thinking, it can’t be a real conspiracy if there are no Nazis involved:
Carroll alleges that Erich Traub, a notorious Nazi scientist and virologist, had visited the PIADC laboratory on at least three occasions during the 1950s and that he may have performed outdoor field tests with poisoned ticks. According to Carroll, research with ticks was still ongoing at the Plum Island facility around the time of the 1975 Lyme disease outbreak.
Other writers have made similar assertions. In their 2008 book ‘The Nazi Hydra in America: Suppressed History of a Century’, Glen Yeadon and John Hawkins describe how, during WWII, Traub had served as lab chief at Insel Riems, a secret Nazi biological warfare facility in the Baltic Sea. Working directly under Heinrich Himmler, feared head of the SS, the Nazi Party’s paramilitary arm, Traub’s role apparently involved packaging weaponized foot-and-mouth disease virus for dispersal from a Luftwaffe bomber onto cattle and reindeer in Russia.
Perfection.
I feel bad about reviewing this one. Its made by a small chain of severely overpriced burger/sandwich restaurants gastropubs in the Phoenix area and this is one from 2021 no less. Sorry, even I doubt I can find it anymore, although apparently there’s a market for their empty cans for the artwork. Which might be the most absurd thing I linked here. This is from a series from a brewmaster that specializes in barrel aged beers, affectionately known as “the Cryptkeeper”. He looks almost nothing like the HBO character. His non-peanut butter version pictured above is a straight forward whiskey backed imperial stout that might be just a bit heavy on the chocolate. Its was pretty solid so I’m not about to complain other than I shouldn’t have had it on as hot a day that I did. OSHO Ales from the Crypt Cake Eater: 4.1/5 12.8% ABV
This was on the local news this morning:

“She says ticks aren’t the only transmitters, as birds, mosquitos, and even baby’s placenta can all transmit the disease. “
Because the pathogens involved are mycoplasma that hide from your immune system in nonvasculated tissue?
Same for various ‘auto-immune’ diseases. Hell, we have only recently discovered the existence of mycoplasma and how vast numbers of species of them there are. Average tick has somewhere in the ballpark of 15k to 20k different species living it it’s guts. Given the different sets of species of Mycoplasma geographically and different species of ticks a person can be infected by a very wide range of combinations of mycoplasma species which manifest in a wide range of symptoms and diseases.
*Evidence of skeletal damage due to RA does not appear in europeans until very shortly after they started showing up in the new world. My guess is that a large number of conditions (I am looking at you breast cancer) are ascribed to the wrong cause.
Mycoplasma can hid between the layers of cell membranes, rendering it unreachable and undetectable. I don’t know how it is now, but when I was in the lab, getting a mycoplasma contamination was a “burn the building to the ground and start over from scratch” moment.
I gotta say, I am not surprised to find out you’re particularly knowledgeable about ticks.
Had Lyme Disease twice, had red blotches that looked like road maps on my forearms, itched really, really bad. Blood test, confirmed, 10 days antibiotics Second time I diagnosed myself, blood test confirmed, 10 days antibiotics.
Many, many of my friends, alive and dead, had the same experiences, if you live in wood tick country you have a really good chance of exposure.
There was also a 3 shot Lyme Disease vaccine, Mrs F and I both has 2 shots and then it was decided by greater horsepower that the vaccine lacked efficacy and the medics wouldn’t give us #3. Fairly expensive, like @ 100 a pop, 20 years ago. Haven’t had Lyme disease though since but I stay out of the woods during summer. I pick off a few, had a few stuck, but not any seriously.
I am certain that you remember when ‘check each other for ticks’ was a nightly ritual for anyone that spent time in the woods.
Minocycline is your friend.
Scleroderma…..an evil disease that tortures its victims horribly. No cause is known (bullshit). It is considered universally fatal.
If you or someone you know has it start shoveling minocycline down the throat. It will permanently cure the disease. Why this is not widely known or practiced makes me believe that the devil really does exist and he often wears a white coat.
Seriously, forget the shovel. large dose of minocycline for two weeks daily. After that a much smaller dose every day and symptoms will disappear. Continue on small dose for life.
known side effects: mild hyperpigmentation with exposure to the sun. That’s all.
bugs that develop antibiotic resistance from minocycline: One form of dysentery in Madagascar in 1957. That strain has since disappeared.
It is a miracle drug. It really is and I am not a medical doctor.

Ha! I love that.
ewwwww.
Right? Dracula is in the label.
All the way back to the Black Plague in Europe pandemics have originated in China. All of them.
Maybe they should become civilized and learn to raise wheat, corn and cattle. Maybe they could stop eating toad’s assholes, lizard eyes and eating out of the sewage. Maybe they could learn to control parasites and pathogens.

Just spit-balling there. Oh, shit. They cant even figure out how to make P-traps for water disposal. Who am I kidding.
Lyme is probably our creation, courtesy of the DOD and Willy Burgdorfer.
Government, the gift that keeps on giving.
☝🏻
I read about this only a couple days ago. The article presented evidence -including Burgdorfer saying he did it- that seemed to remove the “probably”.
I’ve come to the conclusion that slightly more evolved chimpanzees shouldn’t have access to nukes and bioweapons. We obviously can’t handle it.
They cant even figure out how to make P-traps for water disposal.
*looks at COO label on most plumbing in hardware store these days*
The p-trap thing is one of the parts of my “here’s what working in China is like” speech to new folks or family members.
Even in a lot of relatively new construction, not to mention city sidewalks, the baseline odor is sewer gas.
Not sewage – sewer gas like you run into doing some plumbing repairs or when your septic tank is open.
My grandfather commonly used the metaphor “Even hogs dont shit where they eat.”
Fuckin’ Chinese…..
Why, particularly in new construction, are they not using p traps?
Seriously. It is extremely cheap and easy. I can’t think of a reason not to do it, even as a retrofit.
They haven’t learned.
I punched in and immediately punched out, I’m sure I knew from the title what was coming. Worse than McD’s oil bin.
His non-peanut butter version pictured above is a straight forward whiskey backed imperial stout that might be just a bit heavy on the chocolate.
Sounds delicious
I could go fot it when it’s cooler out.
It does. I’d murder a good barrel aged imperial stout.
There used to be a hipster beer place here that had an impressive inventory of beers like this. Dunno if they survived the plague. I should check. I wouldn’t be surprised to find a can or two there.
Its [sic] was pretty solid
I thought beer was supposed be liquid.
“supposed be liquid”
Sad, Ted’s.
Indeed it is chemically liquid by definition, but rather high viscosity for a beer. So by that standard it is pretty solid.
When narratives collide
With respect to Maui, Contreras said there are many reasons to be concerned about climate gentrification, given the island’s natural beauty, history of development, high tourism demand and opportunity to build new hotels.
Not everyone finds the concept useful, though.
Katharine Mach, professor at the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric, and Earth Science, cautioned against immediately labelling a situation climate gentrification, because that makes it difficult to tease out the other factors such as decades of discrimination, racism and land use changes.
“Don’t forget teh RACISM!”
I like how they moan and groan about how these “special places” (which evolved long before current disaster based building codes) have none of their primordial charm after rebuilding. This is obviously the fault of evil gentrifying developers.
climate gentrification
A morsel of word salad to which I hadn’t yet been exposed.
#MeToo. I’m sure it is as well reasoned as the other word salad.
Me neither. I’m supposed to believe rich people are moving to places because they are going to be under water soon?
It must be my white privilege interfering with my thinking but how did racism create this inferno?
…. things only a racist would ask….
Two leftists enter the cage… only one can walk out. Tonight on PPV.
The spread of Lyme is telling. I have absolutely no doubt fuckery was involved.
Maui has stringent affordable housing requirements for new multifamily construction, Tyndall said. But the practical effect has been that very little housing gets built. So new supply is low, both for affordable housing and rentals at market rate, “which just makes housing more expensive for everyone,” he said.
[insert expostulation of bafflement]
They had good intentions.
Good Intentions? The road paved with them is that way.
Sugarcane and pineapple production has essentially ceased in Hawaii, yet for some reason all of that unused land hasn’t been sold off to some one building houses… it’s a mystery all right.
Hawaii is a completely fucked up place. Leftist politics, racist natives, import dependent, out of control government spending and influence, and a history of corporatism that would make feudalists sick with envy.
And the Jones Act making everything more expensive is the cherry on top.
Lahaina was a disaster waiting to happen. It was “cute” because it was old and made out of wood. Old densely packed wood structures, lots of homeowner add ons on already smalll lots, Front Street was all single wall wood buildings with shared walls, above ground electric wires in and amongst mature trees. Lahaina was no more than 4-5 blocks wide and ran along the coast at right angles to the mountain above it. That made the warehouse of leaky fuel cans amongst the crates of fireworks. The large hurricane passing south of the state was opening the door for the correctly forecast winds. AKA opening the door to look inside. Lahaina sat on the leeward side of Maui which is desert like with a large mountain above it. Once the winds breeched the landmass and started falling thousands of feet downhill they picked up speed and dryness. All the conditions were set.
It is still early and the government has lots to hide to protect their “phony baloney” jobs (mahalo Mel Brooks) so the exact ignitions sequence is unknown and will likely never be known exactly. But the one subdivision that was destroyed above the bypass road had a brush fire early in the morning. It was declared 100% contained and the FD left no overwatch for flare ups. Later in the day the winds grew. Ahh Shit #1. There are at least two different videos of ground ignitions from tree damaged electric lines in Lahaina during the winds. Ah Shits #2-3. One or more of the Ah Shits (listed or unknown) was thrusting a burning torch into the shed to see what is inside. The rest of the event was just fire science.
Contributing factors include the electric company being aware of transmission line risks but putting the $$ toward renewables. Lahaina was overall a resort workers residence community with a cutesy waterfront tourist trap. Relative poverty meant lots of flammables in the yards. Treating water as a “sacred object” and “equity” instead of a natural resource may have contributed, or maybe not. (Either way the jackass should be out of his job.) The State had warned Maui for multiple about the fire risks from grass and brush filled former agricultural fields across the bypass road from Lahaina and many other communities- ignored. Just before the Wuhan Flu years a large wild fire started on the mountain above Lahaina and was only stopped at the edge of town along a former cane field RR right of way. From anywhere in town you could look and see the warning staring at you- ignored.
Blame shifting includes: There had not been electric shutdowns for isolated wind events in the past, and electricity was required for water pumping. Hindsight is 20/20. Sirens staying off. Say what you want, but around here sirens mean tsunami warning or nK missile attacks. Plus smelling smoke should be enough warning to check WTF is going on. Global warming. BS remains BS. An entirely typical for the summer large hurricane passing south of the state with a normal high pressure to the north caused the winds- not global warming.
The thing is that events on a geologic scale sometimes coincide with human life spans. This was one of those times.
“Public safety” shutdowns are part of conditioning people to accept unreliable electric grid. Fuck that noise.
“Either way the jackass should be out of his job.“
I thought the jackass was a chick. Hard to tell from pics, but still.
Old Chicago wasn’t preserved because of racism, not a cow.
I like Elon. Getting rid of the idiotic block feature that only a fucking insecure moron would have dreamed up. “I’m going to publicly publish my imbecile ranting and lunatic ravings to the entire internet, but you can’t read them if I block you”. Only in the Red Queen’s world.
Same here. Don’t want the filthy deplorables reading your rants? Don’t publish them on an open platform.
I saw the Kerfuffle. What is the deal? Block means that I can’t read you? Or that I can’t reply?
Because I saw a lot of people framing it as a “so much for commitment to free speech” issue, which kinda confused me.
The masses have been trained to hate Musk. It doesn’t matter what this means.
Boy, that is true. Yesterday I saw a discussion about hot-staging and someone said “Elon Musk is an idiot… luckily, the folks at SpaceX are good at keeping him distracted and keeping him away from the decision making.”
The idea that he just runs around pretending to be in charge is a religious belief with these folks.
This won’t help them transition into a decent football team.
Reunited with @budlight?
Now that’s easy to celebrate

OMWC had a Ginger Baker tune featured this morning. Obviously love the stuff he did with Cream and jazz projects, but his time in Africa gave us one of the best live albums out of the 1970’s. The other drummer on this, Tony Allen is (was) one of my all time favorites. Some fantastic super powered music.

Traitors, one and all
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) appeared to defend the leader of the Proud Boys militia group after the Justice Department (DOJ) announced it is seeking a 33-year sentence for his role in planning the Jan. 6 insurrection.
Enrique Tarrio was found guilty of seditious conspiracy in May, the most serious charge brought against anyone related to the riots. A 33-year sentence is the longest requested and would be the longest handed down in the Capitol riot cases, if accepted by a judge.
“You know who the Justice Department is not seeking 33 years in prison for?” Greene said on X, formerly Twitter, on Friday. “Antifa/BLM violent rioters who burned, looted, destroyed $2 billion in property in George Floyd riots. And Hunter Biden and Joe Biden for taking criminal bribes selling political influence and favors.”
Tarrio and three others were convicted of plotting to halt the count of electoral votes and potentially overturn the results of the 2020 election. A fifth member of the group was acquitted on seditious conspiracy charges but convicted on other felonies.
During the trial, prosecutors said Proud Boys saw themselves as “Donald Trump’s army” and significantly contributed to breaches of the Capitol Building throughout the day.
Stand them up in front of a firing squad. Her, too.
Proud Boys militia group
The what?
33-year sentence
Murderers don’t even get that. But, then again, the PBs literally tried to murder democracy.
saw themselves as “Donald Trump’s army” and significantly contributed to breaches of the Capitol
Despite being unarmed and not breaching shit.
It is pathetically transparent that it was a false-flag operation aimed at exactly what is happening now – using the criminal justice system as a weapon against Donnie Two Scoops. From Jan. 6 to the present legal persecution of Trump it is all so transparent….who buys that shit?
Had a customer bring up all the indictments against Trump as proof he must be guilty of something. He even brought up Russian collusion. I tried to counter it but gave up in frustration and then asked him to read a little on the real issues so I don’t have to stoop to defending Trump. This guy was proof that repeating a lie often enough is effective propaganda.
Goebbels was evil, not stupid.
Here is how I put it to some friends
Libertarian in me says “its the State against a citizen” and we should oppose the oppression and should be cheering on the citizen. American in me says “innocent” until found otherwise by peers. Republican and Democrat in me screams “He threatens the power structure!”
It 100% works, particularly if you have all of the press in your back pocket.
That being said, I have seen some evidence that the overreach might be getting through to some people. The wife is violently anti-Trump. I think the “grab them by the hoo-ha” audio clip permanently broke her ability to see anything other than evil when she sees Trump.
But… the media suppression has actually gotten through. She follows someone called “House in habit” who gained fame during the Johnny Depp trial and has since run afoul of the propaganda machine as an independent reporter. She is big on the Epstein story. The other day she posted “The fact that a portion of society is still using Conspiracy Theorist as an insult, is laughable”. So an avowed democrat (who flirted with Libertarianism because of marriage) who watches Today every morning actually does see that the propaganda machine exists.
Covid, Epstein, Depp, Jan 6, BLM… there have been so many laughable versions of reality pushed, I think there is a real (and maybe final) opportunity for someone to break through and wreck this dystopian machine.
There was no riot. What a joke. There was some rowdiness orchestrated by FBI infiltrators….is that what they are referring to?
I never did a count, but my guess was there were maybe 25 or so “violent rioters” involved in the skirmish on the steps and in front of the doors. Maybe double that, at most. Yet a thousand people are arrested. And they pretend that it is the worst thing in history. Yet it was smaller by far than almost any of the actual riots of the year prior. Heck, it was smaller than the riot at Wendy’s in Atlanta after police shot a drunk driver who stole their taser and fired it at them.
A six figures crowd with a two figures number of criminal assaults is not an “insurrection”. It isn’t even a riot… not really. When you meet a crowd of thousands with 5 police officers and a moveable barricade, I think “bad police work” might be just as applicable.
Good Intentions? The road paved with them is that way.
It’s smooth. Downhill all the way.
Speaking of septic systems…
This will turn the tide against that baby-eating vampire Putin.
The United States has given its approval for the Netherlands to deliver F-16s to Ukraine, the Dutch defence minister said on Friday, in a major gain for Kyiv even though the fighter jets will not have an immediate impact on the almost 18-month war.
“I welcome the US decision to clear the way for delivery of F-16 jets to Ukraine. It allows us to follow through on the training of Ukrainian pilots,” Dutch Defense Minister Kajsa Ollongren said in a message on the social platform X, formerly known as Twitter. “We remain in close contact with European partners to decide on the next steps.”
Ukraine has long pleaded for the sophisticated fighter to give it a combat edge. It recently launched a long-anticipated counteroffensive against the Kremlin’s forces without air cover, placing its troops at the mercy of Russian aviation and artillery.
And nearly a year of training…so they plan on another year of war. Also, what avionics packages are on board. Anything less than our current tech will just make F16 an additional stamp on eiher s400 batteries or Russian Su57 planes.
On top of that, 16s are not meant to fly alone. Are we sending AWACS too?
Why would they need AWACS when flying in their own airspace?
Cause Russians can fire over the horizon unless we are providing new tech
Sugarcane and pineapple production has essentially ceased in Hawaii, yet for some reason all of that unused land hasn’t been sold off to some one building houses… it’s a mystery all right.
Do we know why? Did Dole cease operations? Did the state ban agriculture?
It’s far cheaper to grow in Latin America and Asia.
As to why housing hasn’t been built, your above quote nicely sums up the main reason.
“ Maui has stringent affordable housing requirements for new multifamily construction, Tyndall said. “
That’s sad. The white-fleshed pineapple I had there was the most delicious fruit I have ever eaten.
Oh yeah. They still have a small bit of pineapple production there and yes it is awesome. Still can’t believe they let that whole beautiful town burn to the ground. Infuriating that shitshow of incompetence and malice.
The Guv, local government, and various NGO’s are talking about rebuilding Lahaina as a world class net zero city with “workforce housing”. In other words slowing down even more what will already be slow construction, eminent domain on a significant scale, adding many 10’s of thousands of dollars to every project, and BLM scale racial grifting opportunities throughout.
It doesn’t surprise me but still sickens me. Plus the locals will keep voting team Blue. I can’t wait to retire and to relocate.
I would sympathize with the locals but they seem determined to repeat every avoidable mistake with the rebuilding plans.

Where does that fall on the LQBTQ+ spectrum?
I was briefly tuned to England-ball earlier and the Tottenham exit tunnel is adorned with an electronic sign that alternates between the rainbow flag and the tranny flag.
Remember when this shit was confined to a single month?
Replay?
No, live.
I don’t understand that at all. I know very little about English football culture, but somehow this trans-flag idea violently clashes with every impression I have ever been given on the topic.
English soccer stadiums have been ground-zero for cultural nudging in the “right” direction for a long time, I guess since peak hooliganism in the eighties.
It started with “end racism” and now it’s tranny stuff.
And it’s even worse in U.S. soccer stadiums. The hard-core fans themselves are all waving tranny flags wearing antifa shit now. I agree, it’s a bizarre phenomenon but it is what it is. In particular, I am highly suspicious that any of those people give two shits about trannies. It is just the correct slogan right now.
The regime is preparing to bring back convid.

Just like last time they can just kiss me on the whitest part of my ass.
“The foot soldiers of the right aimed to keep their leader in power,” the prosecutors continued. “They failed.”
Greene has previously claimed that the Justice Department is “weaponized for political purposes,” in relation to the special counsel prosecution of former President Trump. She and other Republicans have criticized the Department for perceived bias in its prosecutions.
No evidence of bias exists.
Bjorn Lomborg gets it.
https://dailycaller.com/2023/08/18/we-are-not-learning-bjorn-lomborg-says-politicians-hide-behind-climate-change-to-duck-responsibility-for-failures/
I was telling my wife just yesterday exactly the same thing. The politicos and bureaucrats love climate change partly because it shifts away responsibility for terrible environmental occurrences from them to the nebulous “you all”. If only all of you hadn’t been so reluctant to get rid of your modern lifestyle these terrible natural disasters would cease. The other main reason is, of course, the grift opportunities are fantastic.
Just wait for the banking collapse. We have to endure the privation because we’re doing it for the climate, not because the governments printed away all of your wealth over the decades.
That’s what this is really about. Getting people to accept the inevitable economic outcomes without taking the heads of those responsible.
I’m seeing resistance building in Britain and the Netherlands as the actual cost of green policies is being felt. It makes me cautiously optimistic.
Globalist cunte.
Biden: “America first” policies makes us “weaker, not stronger”
I grew up on a farm. I know what it looks like when someone is shoveling horse shit.
The problem is not the left’s policies, the problem is the large numbers of morans that vote for leftists. The guy is literally telling us to abandon all sensibility and ignore our lying eyes. Incredible.
“Once you brainwash them you cannot fix them. No matter how much authentic information you give them they cannot draw a sensible conclusion.” – Yuri Bezmenov
Truer words never spoken. Every one who voted Biden or is afflicted with Trump derangement Syndrome should be barred for life from voting.
There is actually scientific evidence behind this. If you do not arrive at a belief via logic and facts, logic and facts cannot move you from that belief. This has been well researched, and it is the bain of those battling cults and pseudoscience.

OT:
Today is the last day to get the early bird registration on the Gibs Cruise but I get an error when I try to register. I called the phone number provided but no answer. Left a message and hoping for the best.
I’m still looking for a roomie, if anyone else is flying solo…
How did you register just yourself? The website asks for guest number two, and there isn’t one.
I assumed I’d just pay for two, so I put myself down as both passenger 1 & 2. The process gets all the way to “submit registration” and the site Gives “error: new action cannot be created.” I tried 2 different browsers and even my phone. Same error.
I did almost the same thing, but slightly changed my first name for the second guest. Haven’t go the confirmation email yet, but the registration part went through with no errors (so far…)
That’s odd—I got my confirmation email right away. I still need to call to make the deposit though. Surprised it’s not just an online payment. Says we have 72 hours to call, but I’d like to get it done today to be sure.
Disappointed I didn’t get the C1 cabin class I’d wanted, but at least I got something!
This worked for me a minute ago
https://sklasen.cruiseonegroups.com/group-registration/#/groups/7113
Hmm. Just tried it again. “Error! Unable to create new activity!”
I changed my cabin type selection and it went through.
That automated error message was just an unclear way of saying “That cabin type is sold out” I guess.
Weird – I registered a C1 successfully, and it was no more than 20 minutes ago.
CruiseOne’s payment system can be wonky at times. Suzanne had to call me up to get my credit card info a couple of weeks ago as the site wouldn’t process my CVV.
She’s in far northern Canada right now, but checks her messages frequently. She’ll get you sorted within the next few days, likely in the cabin you want.
Thanks for the reassurance. I left a message so we will see what happens.
I must be tired. Is the idea Lyme disease was created in a bioweapons lab or it previously existed but was made more dangerous in the lab? Related, ten years ago I would have said either idea is nuts. Today I’m just waiting to find out which theory is right.
I’m going with option B. Forced mutation is simpler and faster than outright creation.
Already existed then engineered to become more spreadable and dangerous.
It is alarming how many conspiracies and misinformation turn out to be true. There is no line an authoritarian will not cross, no lie they will not tell.
There is nothing I would put past them.
After all that has come out about covid, I completely agree.
Correct
Since one of y’all knows this:
– I have an Instagram account as myself. I never post anything, so it’s just used as a receiver, not a transmitter. Mostly my kids’ friends.
– I also have a sock puppet.
– So Instagram has a Search function. I noticed something in an experiment once – I can search a name in both, and one will show a result when the other won’t. Like if I type in Bobby1895, whoever that is will show up to the real me and not to the sock puppet. As the experiment’s been going for awhile, I know that Bobby1895 used to show up for sock puppet, but doesn’t now.
Anybody have a clue?
The Guv, local government, and various NGO’s are talking about rebuilding Lahaina as a world class net zero city with “workforce housing”.
In short, a curated zoo exhibit.
More of what I call their “zookeeper” mentality. What they want to do is turn the world into a giant carefully managed zoo, with themselves as the proprietors.
The only way they will reach net zero is by enduring blackouts or there is a breakthrough in battery technology. It is economically Impossible to reach net zero under current conditions. Of course, the true believers will learn this only after spending their entire budget and then discovery they need loads more money.
I keep telling people that Lahaina is dead and gone. If the powers really wanted to help: A) they would provide the locals who lost their houses with a free copy of the old plans from the county records (for $0) and waive permitting. Tell them that if you keep your new structure to within +15% of the old footprint no further permitting is required. B) Work with the commercial port and home supply stores to add space for material storage; C) permit companies to establish a workers tent camp in the undamaged park for the influx of construction workers; D) Get the Feds to waive the Jones Act so materials can arrive for 20% cheaper; E) Tourism hell yeah. Without tourism Maui is an open-air slum with nice weather.
C) permit companies to establish a workers tent camp in the undamaged park for the influx of construction workers
Is that area suitable for houseboats?
There is a small harbor that is full of sunken wrecks. (Above ground fuel tank ruptured and filled the harbor. Then the spilled fuel ignited taking all the boats down.) It will need to be cleared but that is lower on the list. The commercial side was the heart of the whale watching and diving industry.
The park has multiple baseball fields and football fields along with bathrooms. The bathrooms can easily be converted to showers and port-a-potties added. Cross the intersection and you are in the destroyed zone.
A small cruise ship could also serve the purpose.
Good match, good burger afterwards, good dog when I got home.
Life is good.

Speaking of Good Burger, I hear they are making a Good Burger sequel…
The two disease-spreading parasites I hate most: ticks and the United States government.

Vaccine mandates still in effect in NJ.
🙄
Really? At college?
I mean, if you work at a nursing home, sure. But College?
We did a tour of the Asa Packer mansion the other day. Probably 16 people total. Just one person wearing a mask – a young teen girl. 🙄
Programming overriding peer pressure, or something.
It’s a religious belief now.
“Take, this is my antibody.”
My garden this year is bodacious. I’ve been trying to give away the excess but my neighbors have caller ID and won’t pick up the phone. Emails are ignored. I’ve been thinking of making an early morning drop but some have dogs and all are 2nd Amendment supporters
The summer started early and hot from the beginning. A neighbor gave me 6 trash cans of chicken coop residue, I mulched the cabbage/tomatoes/peppers and the melon/cukes/squash hills. A little 10-10-10, lots of water and get out of the way. Now to hope for a late frost so the melons all make it. 1st watermelon today, corn now 2 meals a day, huuuuge tomatoes. Drought continues on but I have a well nearby so that hasn’t been a problem.
The bad news is the lack of flowers is keeping honey production down plus a robber bee infestation but we’ll have a party anyway. HH lives!
Mice have been eating cukes and tomatoes, set out a live trap and caught one. Damn, I was wrong about those little critters being able to swim under water.
Should have sent the little guy to UCS.
Dayum. lol
I am at the Texas Rangers game. Sealed stadium with air. Totally packed. Very few empty seats. No masks, at all.
I will say this air conditioning is having issues with a packed stadium and it being 107 outside.
I can’t even imagine the bill for that. Yikes.
