The Dodgers are trying to buy a team and win their first real World Series in forever. The Saints got drilled by the Rams. Read the bylaws before you leave next time, you clowns. And there’s some pretty big games in European soccer this weekend, headlined by Liverpool-Arsenal tomorrow. Enjoy them. Now on to…the links!
What a dummy. He’d have been better off selling them on a street corner in that city. As hard as it probably is to get ammo there anonymously, he could have financed his entire trip.

I bet there’s a lot of other stupid shit too. But I’m a bit behind so I ain’t got time to read the whole article.
I’m really confused. Do they not have fraud laws that can be used once fraud occurs? Or does the federal government think Latinos are too stupid to have any agency and/or the ability to read and understand contracts.
Here’s a classic. Just awesome. And here’s another that can’t be passed over.
Enjoy them both. And enjoy this lovely Friday as we get into Christmas weekend. May God bless all of you and those you love.

Why am I expecting an outbreak of apartment fires in CA’s future?
Because you can make basic logical connections.
Which will lead to new laws on the manufacture of rechargeable scooters/bikes, to take effect next Jan 1.
They will wish away accidents and stupidity!
Because the state knows the relative worth of the property to the rent amount and how much damage could be done relative to the amount the landlord could recoup?
Fucking totalitarian asshole California government…. but I repeat myself.
As with the 2020 riots, the shout back will be “THEY HAVE INSURANCE REEEEEEEE”
Which is also regulated and can’t turn a profit there.
The rates will just keep going up and up for people not engaged in the stupid..
Just raise rents to compensate for losses.
I bet this asshat has a bill in the hopper ready to go the minute one does.
If you don’t want to pony up all that moolah maybe don’t rent there.
‘First month’s rent is $5,000, after that it is only $2500. And no you can’t have the 2,500 extra back at the end now.’
Why ask for a security deposit in terms of # of months rent? Just make it a flat $5,000 or whatever.
Or advertise the apartment at $8,000 per month, with a discount after three months of complaint-free residency.
Or, when the idiots pass a law against that, raise the rent by, lets see, X/12, with X = one months rent.
Oh, hell, raise each months rent by 10%, just to be sure.
(house of cards, how do you play it again?)
Ah the legacy of the ADA and the like… screw using your property as you see fit. Screw the first amendment and freedom of conscience or association… public establishment for the win!
Feds can just call it interstate commerce, I suppose.
Next, they’ll pass a law that says a property owner can’t restrict bathroom use to patrons. And then they’ll just become places to shoot up/sleep for junkies.
So… “In the future, all restaurants are Starbucks” instead of Taco Bell?
“If businesses exclude non-patrons from their restrooms, they are shifting the costs of providing restrooms onto the government.”
“Sorry, rest room is broken. Try the porta potty down the street.”
YOU WILLOWN NOTHING AND LIKE IT!
‘Restrooms are a necessity of life, and access to them influences our ability to participate in public life,” ‘
I dunno, all the hobos you let onto public property sure seem to do fine without facilities, and make themselves quite active in public life.
Nothing makes your day like watching some homos fuck or take a giant dump on the streets.
homos=hobos… fuck autocorrect!
lol
As of New Year’s Day, any single-occupancy bathroom in every business across California must now put up an all-genders sign on the door.
I support making single occupancy restrooms open to all, but it isn’t the government’s business.
The bar industry was light-years ahead of the curve on this.
Look, women take forever. And they jack up toilets. They should have their own room. Now women will mix with men and make it take forever to go take a piss.
Agreed. Most establishments reserve more room for women’s facilities. Unfortunately that still doesn’t work.
The whole problem could be fixed by giving them urinal-like facilities- no door, no walls, just a nice trough to pee into.
When you are peeing in a trough, you don’t want to be there longer than necessary.

Extra pertinent for me since I just got back from an emergency “Dad wants the kids around him, he’s feeling that bad” trip that fortunately was cancelled before I got to New Mexico when he started feeling better. ER of course didn’t find anything wrong, but grateful for the time I have with my parents at this point especially — just need to get to where I can see them much more often this next year hopefully.
Nirvana album cover is being attacked on CSAM grounds and the federal courts are buying it? Truly we have become a nation of godddamn tards.
Retards are not greedy little sleezebots. Granted, much of our nation is functionally retarded (starting with the president), so too dumb to object to this kind of thing.
That functional retardment comes from 20 or 30 years of public school indoctrination and lowered standards. Social Justice advocates (because of marxist ideas) want everyone to cross the finish line at the same time. It is wicked hard to make the slow and those unable to even walk keep up with the speed runners, so the answer is to make it impossible for the speed runner to do their thing. This is how you end up with societies that are completely dysfunctional like ours is now.
Paging Diana Moon Glampers!

What are your thoughts on tea?
Green or black? Which blend?
Also, are milk and sugar acceptable?
I’m arguing with a few people and am interested in y’all’s thoughts.
I preffer green but drink both occasionally. Green more often. No sugar. No milk in green tea. A splash of milk ok in black. No sugar.
Green tea should be light, 80C for 3 minutes should be good. Black tea boiling water for 5-6 minutes.
#Liptonicedteaforever
Green (no additives) is about the only one I sometimes like regarding hot.
Sun tea (iced, unsweetened) for cold (plain ole Lipton).
Yes, yes — I’m No True Southerner… having been born up North, that’s already true.
Milk and sugar is the only thing that makes the strong coffee substitute black teas drinkable.
Green with Chinese food. Black otherwise. Hot only. No adulterants.
Throw it in the harbor and drink coffee.
Heh…. very nice.
Black tea with milk and sugar is Grandma Time approved.
My personal drink is black iced or a
London Fog
It is a hot tea drink that is made with earl grey black tea and vanilla. It is topped with frothed milk which is where the “fog” name comes from. There are other fog-named drinks with slight variations to the recipe depending on the location.
Dump the tea out and drink coffee instead.
Tea is gay.
no, just British
Sweet.
NO
Tea should only ever be used for beverages in black form. Green tea has not been aged sufficiently.
Tea should be sweetened, and may be served in either hot or cold form. If hot, dairy is a good idea, but optional. If iced, don’t add dairy.
Which tea depends on the mood, but always straight. Ito En sencha-matcha is my standard. Genmaicha is also good. I go Irish breakfast when I want black tea.
Irish tea?
Black tea, strongly steeped, served properly with milk, sugar if that’s your bag is also acceptable. PG Tips is the preferred brand, but there are a few others out there. Green tea is sometimes good, especially with Asian food, no milk and no sugar. A lemon slice is acceptable. For something a bit different try genmai cha, it is green tea with roasted rice, a tasty alternative to regular green.
Black tea hot/iced with sugar.
Green tea neat or with a touch of honey.
Oolong(fermented) tea with honey.
English & Irish breakfast teas are good(I think Twinings)
Earl Grey occasionally.
We have a tea snob here at work that just does loose leaf fancy teas also…tastes great but not a fan of the debris.
Tea balls work well for the debris.
lapsang souchong
Tea is unacceptable, unless eating Chinese food.
Black. Honey and lemon. Occasionally with bourbon.

“The Hyperbole on December 22, 2023 at 7:01 am
It’s a simple statement of fact. If X-mas music is so great why do you people only subject yourselves to it 4-6 weeks out of the year.”
Hyperbole trying to slip this past just after the links posted, but I won’t let him get away that easy! 😉
Just because people tend to listen to the songs during a certain season doesn’t mean they aren’t good. Irish music isn’t bad because most people only listen to it around St. Patrick’s day.
I would listen to a good rendition of Come All Ye Faithful or God Bless ye Merry Gentlemen any day of the week. If there is any problem it is that too many people have tried covering these and good versions are harder to find as a result.
The overwhelming amount of Christmas music that gets played is bad music. So thankfully it only gets airtime for a short period of time. So I get his point.
Also, its specifically made for the season and often mentions weather or seasonal sights (like Santa or snowmen) that don’t make sense to play in the middle of the summer.
I think there’s also a credible argument to be made that the overall tie in with the warm memories of the season, seeing family, caroling through the neighborhood / at your Respective Place of Worship, etc. boosts seasonal music such as Christmas music. And it doesn’t have quite the same glow (still may be good, but doesn’t have the added zest — so you wait until it does) if you trot it out in July.
There are Easter hymns I look forward to as well… For that matter, there are a couple of classics when it comes to the Eucharist that I always enjoy when the choir director sees fit to let us sing them (as opposed to pushing crap no one has heard of and those of us who are lousy at reading music will mangle every time…. middle aged man grumble)
You and Sloopy are both correct of course.
There are a few songs/hymns(?) sung during mass that hit something special in the brain, perhaps due to the frequency they’re sung at. My wife would say that they’re activating something in the vagus nerve (similar to chanting ‘om’).

George Eaton was not responsible for Roger Scruton’s firing
The Conservatives were ultimately responsible
https://thecritic.co.uk/george-eaton-was-not-responsible-for-roger-scrutons-firing/
Derision has met George Eaton of the New Statesman’s announcement that he has been made Senior Editor. Those of us on the right recall his disingenuous interview with the late Roger Scruton, which heavily implied that he was a hateful racist, as well as his obnoxious celebration on Instagram when Scruton was removed as an adviser to the Conservative Party.
Eaton deserves criticism, certainly, and anyone accepting an interview with him should go with a dictaphone and a head of garlic. But in this author’s opinion, he was not primarily to blame for Scruton’s near cancellation. It was not Mr Eaton who raced to remove the great philosopher from his advisory position. It was the Conservatives.
MPs were lining up to swing verbal cricket bats into the torso of a man whose achievements dwarfed their own. Tom Tugendhat MP, now Minister of State for Security, leapt to declare to BuzzFeed News: “Antisemitism sits alongside racism, anti-Islam, homophobia, and sexism as a cretinous belief that has no place in our public life and particularly not in government.” Needless to say, Scruton had said nothing antisemitic. He had made reference to the “Soros empire”, which is no more antisemitic than referring to a “Murdoch empire” would be Australiaphobic. But Tugendhat was all too willing to take the word of the New Statesman and BuzzFeed News — those giants of balanced and impartial journalism — rather than have some faith in one of the great conservatives.
would be Australiaphobic
Because opposing Murdoch is anti-fascist. It is known.
Tugendhat would make a splendid establishment Republican.

https://twitter.com/NBCNews/status/1737839133496844544
I always feel it is terrible when someone innocent of a crime gets locked up, and believe he is owed compensation. But I wonder based on how little detail is offered what the real thing is. Was this an overzealous and evil prosecutor locking someone innocent up to advance their career or was this guy a hard criminal and just not guilty of this particular crime? Not making the case that locking someone up for something they didn’t do just cause they are bad people is a good thing. Just wonder about stories like this that lack details in this day and age where there is a campaign to stop locking up criminals.
I always assume bad police and shitty prosecutor, the former because they are lazy and the latter because he is ambitious for higher office.
Oh, for sure. 99.99% of the cases it is that…

Nah, they are more useful than direct measures of temperature for most people.
Wind chill is real. The way it is measured is up for debate (it seems to get real silly when it is very cold and windy), but it is effectively much colder when the wind is blowing.

Tech Billionaires Need to Stop Trying to Make the Science Fiction They Grew Up on Real
Today’s Silicon Valley billionaires grew up reading classic American science fiction. Now they’re trying to make it come true, embodying a dangerous political outlook
https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/tech-billionaires-need-to-stop-trying-to-make-the-science-fiction-they-grew-up-on-real/
Not visiting scientific american, but I’m guessing they’re not complaining about making 1984 a documentary.
“Billionaires who grew up reading science-fiction classics published 30 to 50 years ago are affecting our life today in almost too many ways to list: Elon Musk wants to colonize Mars. Jeff Bezos prefers 1970s plans for giant orbital habitats. Peter Thiel is funding research into artificial intelligence, life extension and “seasteading.” Mark Zuckerberg has blown $10 billion trying to create the Metaverse from Neal Stephenson’s novel Snow Crash. And Marc Andreessen of the venture capital firm Andreessen Horowitz has published a “techno-optimist manifesto” promoting a bizarre accelerationist philosophy that calls for an unregulated, solely capitalist future of pure technological chaos.
These men collectively have more than half a trillion dollars to spend on their quest to realize inventions culled from the science fiction and fantasy stories that they read in their teens. But this is tremendously bad news because the past century’s science fiction and fantasy works widely come loaded with dangerous assumptions.”

Spike in on line vitriol
“We saw trending the terms ‘insurrection’ and ‘civil war’ really within hours of the Colorado decision,” said Daniel Jones, president of Advance Democracy, a nonpartisan nonprofit public interest research group based in Washington, D.C.
——-
And even separate from the concern over violence, there is also growing alarm that the normalization of threats, harassment and vitriolic attacks may be eroding American democracy.
“One of the goals of this type of inciting rhetoric or encouraging or even allowing dangerous speech to flourish is that you can make people feel less comfortable participating in day-to-day democracy,” said Shannon Hiller, executive director of the Bridging Divides Initiative at Princeton University. “The proliferation of violent rhetoric like this and the unwillingness of leaders to condemn it can create that chilling effect.”
If only those deplorables would just accept their political losses like docile complacent sheep this country would be a better place.
Reap the banana, assholes.
Why do those scum start getting violent when we try to pull obvious political oppressive bullshit? The only solution is to oppress harder.
We need to export these leaders to Romania – that country has the right kind of common man (serf mentality).
Yes, objecting to an actual attack by the left on democracy is “eroding American democracy”.
“We saw trending the terms ‘insurrection’”
The term “insurrection” trended in association with a court case that was all about insurrection? Huh.
I find it funny that instead of using the definition of ‘insurrection’ found in the USC they went with a dictionary (while proclaiming there was no definition of insurrection) and by that definition, one could claim they have engaged in insurrection.
“Advance Democracy, a nonpartisan”
OK, sure.

What does he have to say about the politicians working diligently to create the post-nuclear-holocaust wasteland which featured so prominently in science fiction back in the day?
He doesn’t think there’ll be any fallout from that. And if there is, he’ll be part of the correct enclave.

Keneally said the most incendiary posts were found on alt-tech platforms such as Gab, Truth Social and Patriots.win. But Jones said it was also worth noting that some of the chatter bled onto X, formerly known as Twitter.

Fill-in-the-blanks journalism
Democratic Rep. Veronica Escobar, who also serves as co-chair of the Biden-Harris 2024 campaign, told CNN: “It’s different from where the campaign was at in 2020, for certain.”
Escobar cast blame on Republican governors and attorneys general for hindering Biden’s immigration agenda, in addition to Congress, but raised alarm over the reported direction of border talks and inclusion of tighter asylum policies, among other stricter immigration measures.
“I want to hold out hope that the White House and the administration, while saying that they want a deal, are also pushing back on really bad policy,” she added, noting that the administration has previously tried to push forward solutions that have been blocked by Republicans.
Democratic Rep. Delia Ramirez, a member of the Congressional Progressive Caucus who delivered the progressive response to Biden’s State of the Union address, told CNN: “I cannot campaign for someone in which I can’t explain tangibly that they’re looking for relief, that they are strengthening the asylum status, improving legal pathways.”
What, pray tell, is “Biden’s immigration agenda”?
Why, it’s whatever you want it to be. Just as long as we all agree it’s a million times better than what those racist Republicans want.
This is one area where I really have to admit I have no idea what’s going on.
The ins and outs of our immigration laws, how they are enforced, who is doing what and why… I need a primer.
Dems/Repubs, in chorus: “SHUT THE FUCK UP PLEBE”
Exactly. It is a giant clusterfuck – by design – to emigrate legally to this country. I sponsored a young Indian fella I worked with and who became a good friend and I tell ya, I at one point wondered if I should just tell him to fly to Mexico, cross the border, and then pretend he was there legally. Of course, the government would crush him because he would be applying for a high income job (IT) and that is not allowed for the fence jumpers.
When my wife was applying for a green card I joked that it would be easier to just fly to Mexico and walk across the border. She didn’t get the joke at the time.
Right right.
Both sides just say the other side is lying and i don’t even know what the actual laws are.
Will it suffice to say that the law doesn’t matter? Legal immigration – to the letter of the law – is something so immiserating that Americans would kill the people inflicting it upon them. No seriously – we’d be hanging people. It is awful.
The employees at ICE are also insufferable. They have more power than any other agency. If you lip off to one of them, they have the power to send someone back to whatever country they came from.
I have often said, that the way to change the immigration conversation is to require all natural born US citizens to have to deal with ICE. It could be super simple. “You have to get a yellow sticky note with the date written on it from ICE”.
Once the locals realized how fucked up it was to get ICE to cough up something that simple, they’d realize the whole system needs an overhaul.
Citizens endure the DMV and Social Security offices, they will just adjust, bitch and complain online.
Same. I had no information to actually pass onto you. No one really knows. We make it insanely complicated for legal immigration, kick out functioning families like the Germans who were claiming religious persecution, import millions of cheap labor that both sides claim they do so for different reasons.
I have an ex from Malaysia who gave up and got into Canada instead.
Yup.
Everyone has their finger in this shit sandwich for different reasons. The “left” and “right” both.
Legal immigration to the US is indeed a clusterfuck. One of the only easy routes to do so is by marriage. I had two friends marry foreign ladies with vastly different experiences. The first married a friend of mine from Brazil that was here illegally. That went swimmingly. The second tried to marry his sweetheart from England and do it without her living here illegally at any time. They ended up being separated for a year after being married as she technically was not going to be legal in this country after she married as she was at the tail end of a 6 month tourist visa. So because they obeyed the letter of the law, she ended up back in England one year waiting to come back legally. Guess which route I followed when I married my foreign wife?
On another fun note, if we wanted to move my 79 year old mother in law over here who has had cancer twice and would immediately gain the medical benefits of a citizen, it is super easy. She doesn’t want to move, but if she did the process is super simple. On the other hand if my working age sister in law, who has been gainfully employed her entire life, speaks English, has a college degree and would immediately contribute as a taxpayer it is a massively huge process with many headaches. She considered it for a while till we really looked into it, but once we found out she decided to not bother and stay in Australia.
Preach!
When we decided to get married, we stopped by the local INS office in Memphis. They seemed very helpful. They told us that after getting married, we should come back to the states before filing anything. If we filed anything while still in Korea, Mrs. Holiness (nee Ms. Vestal Virgin) would have to stay there until everything got processed and that could be 6 months to a year. They said that since her student visa was still valid she could come back on that.
So we followed their advice. Then during one of the interviews we had, they asked about what classes she was taking. She said she wasn’t and they said “OH HO! You just committed visa fraud because you entered our country on a student visa”. “Luckily” for us there was a waiver that we could get for only $200. They already had it all typed up in fact. When I told them that they themselves had told us to do this, the interviewer (who was there when we were in asking for advice) said “We would never tell anyone to break the law”.
Fucking assholes. $200 was a heap of money back then.

The what???
Just shut down work laptop. Aint opening it till 3d january. Boy and girls it is scotch o’clock

Not a big whisky drinker, but have found that the cheap Scotch somebody gave me years ago is perfect in the all-natural eggnog my wife bought.
Get yourself a nice Christmas hooker. Do the dirty. Drink her blood. The do whatever…
A White House official defended the administration’s track record, saying, “The Biden Administration has led the largest expansion of lawful pathways in decades, the Trump Administration focused on banning individuals from Muslim majority countries. And while the Trump Administration separated families, the Biden Administration established a Task Force with the purpose of reunifying those families.”
“Not enforcing the law” not same as “expanding legal pathways”.
Lets see the number of persons that are coming from those “expanded legal pathways”. Cause that is it, that is the expansion.
The new “legal pathway” is hand-waving away millions of false claims of “asylum”.
With reports of court dates in the 2030s, they can claim they have legal pathways.
“What’s clear is the dynamics here are very challenging politically,” said Cecilia Munoz, former President Barack Obama’s top immigration adviser who also served on the Biden transition team.
“The administration has long wanted a constructive conversation with respect to expanding the tools they can use. They have a theory of the case on how to manage things better but don’t have a Congress that wants it,” she added, noting that the immigration system and tools in place are outdated for today’s set of challenges along the border.
What are the specifics of that “theory of the case”?
Pfah! Don’t worry your empty little heads. Just remember: Biden good, Trump bad.
Biden/Democrats good, all Republicans bad. So okay Democrats – what are your specific proposals? Oh, what – you don’t want to talk about it?
WANT

You don’t need an airbag. That thing weighs 17,000 pounds.
But you’d still rattle around on the inside during a collision. Those systems are there to stop the squishy human from getting red bits all over the interior finish.
So okay Democrats – what are your specific proposals?
They’re not Trump. That’s everything you need to know. Vote early, vote often. Vote Biden.
Which goes back to my earlier link today about not understanding politics/winning-elections.

Soon, you won’t even need to be nabbed by the cops to get a speeding ticket. California approved a pilot program to place speed cameras on the streets of San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, Los Angeles, Glendale and Long Beach. That means a camera with a license plate reader could automatically send a speeding ticket to your house.
MOAR REVENUE!
Tell us it isn’t about safety without actually telling us. Same with I think a town police force nearby is claiming you can donate food/toys in lieu of paying the fine. What a big fucking joke that people will say “its so nice they are doing this”.
? Figured they’d been doing this for years already.
“Hillary Clinton reportedly told family members of Hamas-held hostages that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is more focused on politics than freeing their loved ones in Gaza.
The former secretary of state leveled the accusation against Netanyahu, 74, during a meeting at Columbia University on Wednesday with 16 children and siblings of some of the more than 100 hostages who remain in Palestinian territory, according to Haaretz.”

Definitely going the wrong way on this one….
I get drinking soju in Korea where you can get a mini-bottle for $1 or so. What I don’t get is why anyone here would spend $$$ to drink that crap. And why am I not surprised that the Koreans had already gotten some shady loophole opened up for soju?
One of the most disappointing things I noticed during my visit to Korea in October was the absence of soju tents. Soju tents were a Korean version of a food truck. Some guy would set up a tent on a sidewalk (always with an orange tarp as a roof), throw in a grill and then server food and soju to anyone who wanted to stop in. Usually pretty good and very cheap. Now the Koreans are wealthy enough that they have stamped these entrepreneurs out. Gotta get a store and pay for licenses I guess.
In my opinion, soju tents were a far better cultural item than K-pop of Psy.
I ate my first meal inKorea at one. Drank liter of Sochu
In Team Spirit ’88, our Sgt. Major referred to us as “soju sucking heathens”. Good times.
Red, Blue, or Yellow?
Do-nothing Congress
Much of the news in Congress this year had little to do with actual legislation, but lawmakers did manage to send 27 bills to President Biden’s desk for a signature. That’s a dramatic productivity decline relative to previous years, even when compared to other eras of divided government.
The nation is sinking into anarchic chaos as a result of a lack of laws. When will Congress do their duty and put more magic words on the sacred parchment?
We cannot survive much longer as a society in this unregulated wild west do-as-you-please libertarian dystopia.
“His post was accompanied by an image that showed when a user had entered the word “insane,” the word received an “inclusiveness” warning. The software recommended a word change on the grounds that it “implies mental health bias.”
Additionally, the software presents “perspective” warnings to its users, suggesting alternative viewpoints if their input fails to conform to Microsoft’s desired standards.
In another image that Musk shared, the software had issued a warning to “consider a different perspective.”
The new feature, which was first developed in 2022, provides suggestions for references related to the following biases: age, culture, handicap, gender, race, socioeconomic status, mental health, and sexual orientation. It must be manually enabled by the user through Word’s “editor” settings. It also recommends substituting gendered pronouns, gender-specific terminology, and ethnic slurs with other words or phrases, according to Newsweek.
It suggests steering clear of gender-specific pronouns and phrases like “mankind” in order to avoid stereotyping.
“Don’t use slang, especially if it could be considered cultural appropriation, such as ‘spirit animal,'” Microsoft said in an article about the new feature, the outlet reports.”

I just clicked on the “Editor” in my employer’s version of Word. Under “Refinements,” it now apparently checks for “Inclusiveness” and “Sensitive Geopolitical References.” 🙄
Now I miss Clippy. ☹️

They ran out decades ago.
Coming to Washington for the new year:
Training class required for all firearms purchases
Fee for new state run background checks
10 day waiting period for all firearm purchases.
Some day they’ll have poll taxes and literacy tests – since those would improve voting outcomes.
Be interesting to see a creative bill introducing literacy classes to engage in speech.
10 day waiting period for all firearm purchases.
But I’m angry NOW!

I think it was the Simpsons.
The employee I terminated a couple of days prior to his involuntary commitment to observation in a mental health facility has been released.
Untreated, undiagnosed. He’s got his phone back and has resumed texting me. This morning at 5 AM, he asked if anyone is in the office because he wants to “negotiate the terms of his surrender.”
I forwarded it to HR and decided not to come in to the office (a gun-free zone) today.
Smart move.
Good grief. I’d be secretly making the office a not-entirely-gun-free zone if they made me come in. Hopefully you can negotiate some extended at-home work.
Also… terms of surrender? Dude, you’ve been fired. Our office has no Marshall Plan.
It’s that “terms of surrender” phrase that makes me think he’s considering going out in a blaze of glory.
LOL on the Marshall Plan analogy.
Yikes…didn’t realize those were the words he used. Yeah that is a big red flag.
Yeah he asked “Is anyone in office? I would like to negotiate the terms of my surrender. If not, it can wait until January.”
And then a “disappointed” emoji.
After his text, when I went back to sleep I had nightmares in which I was trapped in a building with monstrous-looking humans and I couldn’t get to my gun.
That’s close enough to a premonition for me; I’m WFH today. Maybe even PTO.
“BREAKING: GOP State Lawmakers Draft Bills to Remove Joe Biden from 2024 Ballots in Three Swing States
Efforts are underway by Republican lawmakers to draft legislation aimed at removing Joe Biden from the ballots in key swing states Georgia, Arizona, and Pennsylvania.
According to Breitbart, state representatives Aaron Bernstine from Pennsylvania, Charlice Byrd from Georgia, and Cory McGarr from Arizona are spearheading these proposed legislative efforts.
Their objective is a direct response to the unconstitutional ruling in Colorado that invoked the United States Constitution’s “Insurrection Clause” to prohibit Trump from appearing on the state’s ballot.
According to Breitbart, these brave GOP lawmakers are positioning themselves against the “lawfare” tactics used by Democrats to target Trump. They argue that the same grounds used to challenge Trump’s eligibility — based on accusations of inciting an insurrection — might similarly implicate President Biden. This perspective refers to Biden’s management of the southern border invasion and strong connections with China.”

LOLOLOL
“They argue that the same grounds used to challenge Trump’s eligibility — based on accusations of inciting an insurrection — might similarly implicate President Biden. This perspective refers to Biden’s management of the southern border invasion and strong connections with China.”
At the press conference, they should say, “We know this really doesn’t make much sense, but our opposition has been similarly unburdened by reason, logic, or the rule of law for years. We didn’t make the rules.”
“Joe, the ballot box can’t compete with the third party candidates who will take votes from Joe Biden. And let us not forget the electoral college. The law must defeat him.
