by | Dec 1, 2024 | IFLA | 34 comments

Really? December? I mean, Thanksgiving was as late as it could be this year but I don’t remember November existing much at all. Lily rarely is in the mood to play with Eva, but When she is Eva is game.

The first few days this week are excellent for romantic activities, so make use of the time as best you can. On Thursday or Friday check your local listings) Jupiter retrograde and MERCURY MERCURY are in anti conjunction, meaning that no matter where you are in the world, a sign of fuckuperry will be overhead, even in the daytime. Expect a truly spectacular mishap.

Time out! I need to sniff something!

Yeah, and for once the cards are right.

Knowing is half the battle. Caring and doling stuff are the other half but I don’t care I am not doing anything about it.

November did seem to burn by fast. Since Thanksgiving was at the latest, Christmas is even sooner. Only 24 chopping days left.

Been meaning to share this with you — check out VCV Rack for a virtualized Modular synth system. *huge* library of modules, pretty mature, sold fun. Enjoy!

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

I’m well versed in VCV Rack. I don’t use a computer very often so I don’t use it often, but I do use a spin off on the iPad, MiRack.

That said, I tend to not use software unless I must. I’m a hardware guy. Knobs. Faders. Cables everywhere. But those platforms are definitely loads of fun. Many modules are models of hardware modules. Some could probably never be made in hardware form (at a price people could afford, anyways). Lots of very cool stuff made with VCV Rack.

There is also a great patch repository online to get ideas.

    Ugh… I overslept 😴

    • Toxteth O'Grady

      Congratulations! Me too.

Insomnia is hell. Unaffected people don’t realize. I don’t mean scraping by on five hours’ worth one night or even every night; I mean five hours over two or three days. It’s not just the effect on mood, but it about halves executive function.

The real fun comes when you start dreaming about being awake all night.

What I enjoy is the helpful advice.

“Why no, I’ve never heard of melatonin.”

I know people mean well, but it gets old.

      • Raven Nation

        Oops, sorry.

      • Tundra

        Not you.

      • Toxteth O'Grady

        Melatonin makes nightmares.

    Grown-up men making grown-up decisions. 🙄

    • Nephilium

Yeah. I may hate the Stillers and think Pickens is a whiny little bitch, but even I think that was a bullshit flag.

/waits for him to wind up getting ejected anyway

        Tundra:

Yeah, I saw that. I would call that a dirty hit.

Just the sort of clear-eyed rational realist the DNC needs

“I’m running for chair of the Democratic National Committee because we need to unite, we need to fight, and we need to win to stop the GOP from ripping this country apart and ripping off working people to enrich mega billionaires who funded Trump’s campaign,” Wikler told anchor Manu Raju.

“This is a time for Democrats to come together to learn about what we need to do and change and to start winning elections up and down the ballot for the next four years,” he continued.

When asked by Raju why DNC members should vote for Wikler after Vice President Kamala Harris lost Wisconsin last month, Wikler pointed to the state’s status as a purple state.

“The thing about the last four years is that we’ve seen a Republican Party that in Wisconsin came in and tried to dismantle our democracy, robbed working people, smashed unions, attacked public schools, restricted voting rights, and Democrats organized, united, and fought back,” he said.

They just weren’t progressiving hard enough.

    • rhywun

It’s a good thing Democrats don’t rip off working people to enrich the mega billionaires that fund their campaigns.

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

You mean at least they aren’t continuING to fleece their donors.

        Oh. Wait. Nevermind.

    • Muzzled Woodchipper

      Uhhhhhh….

Democrats spent $1.5B in about 100 days (and are current $20M in the hole while begging for more money from donors weeks after being trounced). Trump spent just shy of $350M through the entire election cycle.

More billionaires voted for Harris than Trump. In fact, more people making over $100K voted for Harris than did Trump. It’s those from the laptop class upwards who voted for Harris, along with those in the lowest income bracket. Stop with this RePuBlIcAnS aRe TeH pArTy Uv BiLlIoNaIrEs shit.

      He knows this.

This guys is a fucking gaslighting buffoon.

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

And these fuckers, along with their TMITE stenographers, wonder why nobody fucking listens to them.

Try a little honesty. Just a little will go a long way when no honesty at all is expected.

      • rhywun

        Sadly, gaslighting works.

A belated thanks to all my local citizens who successfully vote NO with me (not just against a new stadium, but generally).

Lol. That master cyl. Actually not a bad example but money would disappear fast. If the mileage is accurate that motor has plenty left.
