The Hat and The Hair Animated: Rerun ep 42

by | Dec 18, 2024 | Hat and Hair | 30 comments

I wanted The Hat to appear on Info Wars with Alex Jones, but I don’t really have a good Alex Jones impression. But then I remembered Jessie Ventura had a show called Conspiracy Theory, which often guested Jones. I used to watch the show with my dad and I’d do my Jessie Ventura impression, “I was the Governor of Minnasoada, I know tings!” So, Jesse became the guest host of Info Wars where The Hat could talk Q-Anon nonsense.

    “It’s just science”

    Except I think Fauci disagrees.

I look forward to the day when “retired pubsec” is something nobody will admit to in public.

she is leaving seven months short of her 20th year

        That is surprising.

And when you’ve lost the Daily News… sheesh.

(Once a middle-brow paper, now firmly leftist.)

She was putting her life on the line every day for 19 years 5 months (plus overtime), protecting the citizens of NY.

OTOH, she could trade her retirement for the good guy letter except no one could spell Quathisha (with no apostrophes either)

Sounds like retired ahead of being fired for malfeasance.

Not easily. These are exhaust particulates.

On diesels you need to both reprogram the ECU and break the law in emission compliant jurisdictions.

Same here so nobody has the software for gasoline.

Let me guess, they clog on the regular and cost $3k to change, and can’t just be washed.

      • Gustave Lytton

I’m sure the tuners will crop up just like they have for diesels of any make.

      • Plinker762

After a big crack down on US based diesel tuners by the EPA, you have to have your tunes emailed from Canada.

Trump is many things but willing to toss his name around and have it be the reason the ‘CR’ isn’t passed is unique to an American politician.

Sure I have leave scheduled thru the rest of the year but if I need to report to work next week…I’ll be there.

    Fund the basics or nothing.

What I don’t understand is how a “continuing resolution” can have any new spending. Wouldn’t it just be “spending authorized in the currently effective appropriations bills is continued through [insert date]”? Anything more than that doesn’t seem very “continuing” to me.

Tie a pay raise to passing an actual budget … maybe.

      • Sean

        FYTW!

      • UnCivilServant

No, Grumble. All Federal pay must drop 10% year over year as long as there is any debt.

      • Ted S.

Can we do this to NYS govsec too?

      • UnCivilServant

No, that’s too small a cut for NY. Need to delete whole agencies year over year – regardless of debt.

    • Gender Traitor

      Good morning, Sean & U!

      • Gender Traitor

OK! Got one year-end thing to wrap up today, and we just got word that our new CFO has been set up as a payroll administrator, so I can continue to train her as my backup in case I’m ever off when payroll has to be processed. Up until now, my boss was my backup, but he’s got bigger fish to fry now that he’s CEO. (I just wish he wouldn’t fry them in the break room! 😖🐟🐟)

        How are you?

      • UnCivilServant

I’m awake. I had breakfast. I will be microwaving fish later – but I’m at my house so no one gets to complain about the nuked salmon.
