GlibFit 4.0 – Coronavirus Edition XLIV: Name It Yourself, I’m Tired

by | Jan 17, 2021 | Fitness, GlibFit | 214 comments

It’s been a weird week in America but a busy week at work.  So, I’m thankful for that.  This article will post 5 minutes before the Chiefs-Browns game.  So, I’ll cross Mojeaux and Nephilium off the commenters list.

I’m way too tired and lazy to research something new for this week.  So, take that as permission to talk football.  Speaking of which, I have watched very little of the NFL this season. The SJW nonsense drove me nuts so I opted out.  What little I have watched, I’m getting the distinct impression the cameramen have instructions to frame the game as tightly as possible if a social justice message on the field could be in the picture.  I have also noticed Al Michaels is just barely managing to mouth whatever platitude is getting shouted in his earpiece.  Al seems to just want to call the game and not get bogged down in anything else.

Gym time was a little weird this week. Two mornings I was there well before sunrise and dealt with stupid cold bars and my creaky bones, joints, and ligaments.  Middle age is blast.  *eyes roll out of head*

I was just beat Friday morning so I skipped. Yesterday I went to the gym so I would complete my week.  We are experiencing Indian summer.  What?  I can’t say?  What’s it called now?  No, I’m not calling it Native American summer.  I don’t even understand what Indians have to do with unseasonably warm weather.  But I digress.

It was 84 when I got to the gym. First stop was the pull up bar.  That MFer was hot because it’s outside in the direct sun.  I hate my governor.

Alright, go drink your beer and root for your favorite team.  Or feel free to remind me the NFL is evil and you have something better to do.

+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

I never expected to say I admire the Swiss for their commitment to freedom.  But here we are. I would love for any state in America to do the same thing.

Here is yet another story of frontline healthcare workers not taking the Covid vaccine.  I’m curious to see how the Biden administration is going to spin this.

This week’s music link. Yes kids, there was a time live music on television was actually live music.

This is a complete hodgepodge.  Have some supercuteness to round it all out.

    cross Mojeaux and Nephilium off

In technical writing, our introduction was through critique: how much fluff can you cut out of this paragraph?

If the gameclock is 60 and the schedule is 180, they’ve got a good 66% of their time for beer and Glibbing.

In the decades since I took that course, my impression is that Americans are talking more and saying less. We are diseased.

    • Nephilium

      You left out the wings.

    • Mojeaux

      talking more and saying less

      Guilty.

“I’m curious to see how the Biden administration is going to spin this.”

A public/private partnership to ensure the policy is basically “Take it or you’re fired” would be my guess.

    • Urthona

I know quite a few not bothering to take it because there’s no point. They already had covid. Been interacting with the sick for a year.

Good for them. Save it for people who need it. Move along to the next now.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

Actually getting COVID is the ultimate innoculation but I bet that doesn’t save them and they have to take it eventually. Something something the tests aren’t always accurate so we can’t be sure that’s what you had or some variation thereof. It’s like peoples’ brains have switched off when it comes to this thing.

      • Urthona

They seriously spent money studying this, and it turns out having covid protects you in the same way as having literally every other similar disease.

But yeah. You’ll need the vaccine and you’ll need to continue wearing a mask. Somehow.

      • Chafed

You are both right. There appears to be a move afoot to deny recovering from the virus gives you immunity. It’s linked to discrediting herd/population immunity as the end of the problem. Apparently centuries of medical history don’t apply here.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

Hmmm, that reason is actually worse because it’s untethered from reality.

      • Chafed

Yes it is. But it’s tightly tethered to a political agenda.

      • zwak

This. And it’s why you have the same issues with the Ragin’ ‘Rona in other countries that don’t have a Trump. The populist surge across the world (Yellow Jackets, Brexiters, etc.) needed to be put down and put down hard by the elite, and this is the technocratic elites’ method of showing who is in charge, good and hard.

      • Urthona

Multiple studies keep coming out showing that having covid does — in fact — over 99% protect you from getting it again. It’s better than any vaccine.

      • Chafed

If you have links I would appreciate them.

Heard part of Cuomo’s vidzoom on on the radio. In some NYC hospitals, <20% of the "front line workers" have gotten vaccinated.

There are two different things he blames:

-Trump for not providing enough vaccines
-Little people not doing what they've been told.

He literally said that he (I can't remember if he said "I" or "This government" or "The state" or what, but he as definitely referring to himself) had "done everything that needs to be done" to end the 'vid, now it's up to the plebes to obey.

    Urgent action required

In his first days as president, Joe Biden plans to take executive action to roll back the “gravest damages” of Donald Trump’s administration, the Democrat’s incoming chief of staff said Saturday.

Biden will take “decisive” action to address four overlapping and compounding crises facing the nation—COVID-19, the economy, climate change and racial inequity—in his first 10 days in office, Ron Klain wrote in a memo to senior staff.

Save us, Captain Ballgag! Doom is imminent. Fap fap fap.

    • Urthona

  11. The Late P Brooks

On his second day in office, Biden will sign executive orders to tackle the COVID-19 crisis

Good gravy! Why has no one thought of that before now?

    • rhywun

I love how climate hooey is DAY ONE and the ‘vid is day two.

      • Urthona

I would be willing to offer anyone a $1000 bet that our rate of CO2 decline under Biden is roughly the same as the US’s world leading decline under Trump.

      • Stinky Wizzleteats

It doesn’t count unless it’s forced though; See OSHA before and after.

      • Urthona

It declined dramatically under Obama too. It was ironically almost entirely because of fracking though — a thing the left is most ideologically opposed to.

The fact that we are bothering with these global treaties with EU countries that don’t have manufacturing is hilarious.

It’s like Canada signing a logging treaty with Saudi Arabia.

We are already leading the world in carbon reduction thanks to capitalism.

Any “treaty” that doesn’t involve China or India is a waste of our time. We get nothing from it:

      • rhywun

Oh, it involves China and India: it explicitly permits them to do whatever the fuck they want while the US promises to destroy its economy.

      • Don escaped Two Corinthians

    Hi Chafed!

Love the pittie video. So sweet!

I had a busy week, too. Got my daily walks and three lifting sessions in, though.

I really like squatting every session, rather than every four. My numbers are still nothing special, but they are progressing each week and I am feeling a hell of a lot more proficient.

I hope you all kick some ass this week. I’m gonna do a reset starting tomorrow. The holidays, vacation and dubious choices have left me a tad thicc. Gotta dial it back in.

    • Chafed

You are squatting 3 times per week? That’s a lot. What’s the rationale?

      • DEG

        Lessons from the Glute Girls

Few things make me roll my eyes harder than the whole “squat booty” mantra. When I asked, not a single female that’s chimed in on this topic answered “squats” as the key factor for their glute development. Not one.

      • Tundra

Heavy day 4×5, light day 2×5 at 90%, medium day 1×5 at 95%.

Rationale is not de-training since you are only adding weight once a week.

It seems to be working nicely – especially for an old fuck like me.

      • Chafed

That’s great. And I hear you are getting a round ass.

      • Tundra

        I’m quite proud of it.

      • Chafed

I don’t want to alarm you but Muzzled Woodchipper is staring at it.

  14. Muzzled Woodchipper

Haven’t watched the NFL in 4 or 5 years. A penalty being called every other play for an infraction that did not exist 2 years prior ruined it for me. The SJW nonsense over the last few seasons sealed the deal. I’m out.

They’ve lost a fan, and a guy who paid for the NFL Sunday ticket for 10 years.

Although SJWism has put its toe in the MLB door, and seems to have, very unfortunately, pretty thoroughly infected the front office of my beloved Marlins (at least in appearance), it hasn’t completely dominated the messaging like it has in the NFL and NBA, and so I’ll keep watching. Once SJWism thoroughly infects it, (as we all know that once it slimes its way in to someplace it’s effectively a done deal), I’ll bail on my beloved baseball too.

    • Nephilium

I’m dropping the Cleveland Baseball Team when they drop the Indians name.

    • rhywun

A penalty being called every other play for an infraction

Some of them are optionally enforced, apparently. Just like selective enforcement in real life!

    CLAMPDOWN

Federal prisons across the United States have been placed under temporary lockdown ahead of President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration.
The Bureau of Prisons (BOP) announced Saturday that it is securing all institutions “in light of current events occurring around the country.”

“There is no specific information that triggered this decision,” the statement said. “This action is precautionary, and is not in response to any significant events occurring inside our facilities.”

Security measures are being stepped up ahead of Inauguration Day, with federal, state and local law enforcement agencies preparing for the possibility of more violence after rioters stormed the US Capitol on January 6, leaving five people dead, including a Capitol Police officer.

The FBI has also received information indicating “armed protests” are being planned at all 50 state capitols and the US Capitol in Washington, DC in the days leading up to Biden’s inauguration on January 20, according to an internal bulletin obtained by CNN.

Not a banana republic. No sir.

Do we have political polling on Trump cultism among prison inmates? Anyway, this will be good practice for maintaining discipline the camps.

    • rhywun

      • Gustave Lytton

        Or actually doing. Stupid autocorrect.

Say, that’s the next thing. Autocorrect can filter out the bad thoughts before they’re even posted. Get on it, Apple and Google! If you aren’t doing it, you’re clearly part of the Nazis.

      • blackjack

Imma say, at least they finally have narrowed down where actual white supremacy is, the prisons. Of course every race in there considers itself supreme, but yeah, there are actual white supremacists in prison.

    • Muzzled Woodchipper

Like prisoners give even the littlest of shits who’s president.

  16. Fourscore

I wasn’t a red hot football fan anyway so was easy to kick that and all sports. Rarely turn on the TV, a little news is about all.

Did 4 miles of treadmill walk several times this week with a little lifting after the walk. I must have been helping OMWC toting them bales, ’cause my back has been acting up. I think it another problem that may warrant a visit to the sawbones though.

    • Tundra

I’m with you. Haven’t watched more than a few minutes of football all season, and only when my wife had the game on.

My people are flabbergasted that I didn’t even know the NHL had started up again. It’s funny, I just DGAF.

Sorry about your back. Probably snow clearing, huh?

      • rhywun

The NHL is particularly sad this year, if the two games I caught snatches of are going to be any indication.

      • Fourscore

I continue to admire Glenn Greenwald. He makes no pretense of who he is. He is gleeful calling out hypocrisy on the left and the right.

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

Yes. Greenwald has been no less than a guide through government power for a long while now. He’s called it out mercilessly when Obama was in office, (I remember the evisceration he gave the Obama administration for murderdroning 2 Americans without a shred of due process), while Trump has been in office, and as Biden takes office. He’s painted a pretty clear picture of the near fully captured media, the tyranny of cancel culture in newsrooms all over, and their insistence on becoming the PR arm of the Democrat party regardless of the facts. Hell, he left his own outlet because it had been completely co-opted by anti-Trumpism.

He doesn’t always come to conclusions that are compatible with liberty, but on calling out government power, he’s the tip of the spear.

He’s been far better than any libertarian I’ve read, or at outlets claiming to be libertarian, but are only shells of what they once were.

Chest and Tricep day… my heart wasn’t in it but I did all of my sets anyways.

I dissected a Hafler SE120 stereo amplifier which will get a new set of electrolytic capacitors, along with checking the bias.

I also brought down the “completed” Eico ST70 tube amp mod/restore I did. Shuffled a bunch of gear around, hooked up everything, only to find I don’t have a working left channel! So some more troubleshooting to do. The right channel sure sounded nice though 😉

I’ve also been watching this very neat hour long outdoor YouTube episode where two, sometimes three guys build a Viking styled cabin only using handtools. I thought for sure they were southern boys – but, much to my surprise, they are from the UK. I didn’t know they were allowed knives, axes, and hatchets! Best part is the no voiceover… just people working without explanation. It makes the watching quite Zen.

  22. IRBE

Thanks for this sedition and greetings from NOCal. Weather here is again sublime, 70 and sunny. Did a 10 miler with tonnes of hikers and all masked up for me…lots of side eye action and some militants from Berkeley gesturing for mask usage. FOC…

G-fit update: Sleep was pretty good. Food priority highest quality proteins. No alcohol and limited carbs for the last week. Maintained hike mileage to 37 miles this week. Wim Hoff/meditative “ancient man” techniques, set a record of 4:15 hold. Lost a pound. I am in goal weight range. Did some HIIT, running hills and stairs and was sore for 2 days. Did some more and felt much better…I think I will do some every other day.

Second “Meatless Monday” fast suxed too. I was hopeful it would be better but I think I didn’t eat enough before start. Will do another tomorrow in honor of the holiday.

Covid update: I did a deep dive into a shallow pool of information from my county health agency. Latest data set is from 2007…so I guess nothing has been done at that agency since before the Obama administration… except the first topic on their web page was Inequality of Mortality. WTF…that figures.

Numbers adjusted to 2019 Census county numbers and rounded up.
    Total Pop: 1.5 MM
    Deaths per year: 10,000
Deaths due to Cancer and Heart Disease: 5,000 (~50% of deaths)
Deaths due to Respiratory Issues: 600
Deaths Due to Flu and Pneumonia: 300

    <>.

Anyway, that’s about a year’s worth of data. 400 Covid-19 deaths seems like a lot but is eerily similar to flu/pneumonia, throw in a couple of COPD cases and you get a number. I think the numbers speak for themselves because science…Bad Cold!

De todos modos, ¡tenga una gran semana y sáltese una comida o tres!

    • IRBE

Ooops… this didn’t make it: Deaths Due to Covid-19 as reported by Johns Hopkins: 400…Note number of reported deaths per county is no longer reported on their website…hummmmmm. Interesting is that number of deaths reported at the end of March was about 150

      • Suthenboy

how many of those had bullet holes?

      • IRBE

Bullet holes did not make the top 10…Now, next county over would have a tally.

    • Tundra

      Nice job, man!

Every other day HIIT seems like a lot. How old are you?

      • IRBE

I’m 55 and maybe a more accurate description would be MIIT. It is all relative and I am not doing a lot in a session… My goal is to get some spring in my step and really get my heart rate up for short period of time.

        Old fuck. I’m only 53!

I’ve read a lot about it. It appears that we need very little of it to really help. Sometimes I just sprint the hills on my normal walk.

Which is fine with me. The old days of barfers sucked.

      • Mojeaux

53—That’ll be me in 3 months.

  23. westernsloper

Wait…….I thought people were saying the Browns are good this year.

    • rhywun

Look, if the FBI says it will happen, it will happen. By hook or by crook.

    • Count Potato

Who knows? The examples given don’t seem to have a consistent ideology.

    • Urthona

I see there’s a battle brewing on whether the “boogaloo” is right wing or left wing so we know whose speech is to blame.

      • Drake

Unless that guy is wearing the BLM shirt ironically, I don’t think those are right-wingers.

      • Rebel Scum

Idk anything anymore. But I am leaning to the position that everything is establishment vs. the people. And if anything happens it will be “violent, right-wing domestic terrorists” as the scapegoat.

    • Suthenboy

they want a violent purge so bad they can taste it

      keep your powder dry

      • westernsloper

I saw you link to those Birria tacos the other day. (last week) I have short ribs and roast crocking away. Damn, that stuff smells good.

      • Suthenboy

oh my god those were good
mrs suthenboy and I ate until we were unable to move
make sure you use corn oil to fry, that really makes a difference in the flavor and make sure you fry crispy and brown
side salad too (I douse with raspberry vinaigrette)

yum, if you are cooking that we may show up at your door

    • JG43

Nope. I mean it’s something all right but probably nothing like what is, or will be, reported.

    • Muzzled Woodchipper

Full battalions of military armed and ready to rock and roll at virtually every state capitol?

      What could go wrong?

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

Anyone who shows up for any inauguration protests right now, armed or not, is completely justified and also completely naive or just plain stupid. Whether you do something or not you’ll be ID’d and put on a list of people to watch and god help you if something actually does cook off.

      • Suthenboy

        ^this^

our politics agenda is driven by morons

      • Scruffy Nerfherder

        This, over and over

      • Semi-Spartan Dad

A couple LEOs in a nearby town were fired for attending the Jan 6th DC protests. Not participating in the enthusiastic protesting at the Capitol… just for being one of the hundreds of thousands people protesting in DC that day. Note that this is a rural bumfuck town. The purge of wrong thinkers throughout law enforcement and the military is beginning.

      • Gender Traitor

Ruin the careers and embitter people with the training required in those fields? That’s bound to end well.

      • Viking1865

I remember how well it worked out in Iraq when they dissolved the armed forces for de-Baathification. No negative consequences there, no sir.

      • CPRM

I heard some MSNBC guest saying we need to de-Baathify the US government, because you know, people who support Trump are the exact same as party members that supported Saddam for 30 years while he gassed Kurds and tried to take over other countries.

      • Count Potato

How the fuck is that legal?

    • Rebel Scum

      Armed Protesters

      OOGAH BOOGAH.

    • westernsloper

Those are some massive crowds there.

  24. PudPaisley

My area got about 3.5 inches of wet, heavy snow on Thursday night, so I spent about 11.5 hours clearing it Friday with a snowblower and shovel. Since I walked about 10.5 miles, a close estimate is that I cleared about 2.25 acres of driveways, sidewalks, and steps. Never ran the numbers before, but that’s a pretty good chunk of area. My back was stiff and sore yesterday. I’m guessing I burned a few calories.

Been doing a lot of hiking lately due to the mild winter. There are tons of awesome trails in my area with great views of coulees and the Mississippi River Valley in Wisconsin. Today I hiked 3.7 miles with about 1,400 feet in elevation gain, so about 76 flights of stairs according to my phone. This mild winter has been great for my psyche. It’s already mid January and I’ve yet to get cabin fever or go into hibernation mode like most winters. Wishful thinking, but hopefully the rest of the winter is this mild.

Don’t post on Glibfit often, but I enjoy reading the posts (usually late). It’s really helped to motivate me this winter to stay active.

      Every military academy?

  26. Rebel Scum

That’s a bold (and historically illiterate) assertion.

Jamie Raskin said, “Well, the Constitution talks about conviction removal and disqualifications from holding further public office. I don’t think anybody would seriously argue that we should establish a precedent where every president on the way out the door has two weeks or three weeks or four weeks to try to incite an armed insurrection against the Union or organize a coup against the Union, and if it succeeds, he becomes a dictator, and if it fails, he’s not subject to impeachment or conviction because we want to let bygones be bygones. This was the most serious presidential crime in the history of the United States of America. The most dangerous crime by a president ever committed against the United States, and there are Republicans who are recognizing it as well as Democrats.”

    • Suthenboy

after the Russia collusion hoax and the endless bullshit they figure they can pull anything out of their ass and it will fly

      • Muzzled Woodchipper

And they’re right, because they will keep sending this same message which will be amplified in social media, while anything going against the narrative will be shadowbanned and “fact checked” to death.

      Uhhhhh….

HOW ABOUT FUCKING INTERNMENT CAMPS DURING WW2?

      HOW ABOUT MURDERDRONING AMERICAN CITIZENS?

HOW ABOUT CONTINUOUS LYING TO THE AMERICAN PEOPLE WHILE GETTING EVER-MORE INVOLVED IN VIETNAM?

HOW ABOUT THE FUCKING TUSKEEGEE EXPERIMENT?

      GODDAMMIT!

No, it’s Trump telling his supporters to protest peacefully.

  27. limey

I ate a bunch of torrrrrrrrtilla chips, and I didn’t even get out for my government-sanctioned short walk near my place of residence today.

I have online classes tomorrow which are fucking useless. I’m considering quitting the course if the lockdown is extended past mid February with regards to colleges. If I stayed on I’d just end up doing more theory, filler material, writeups etc, but wouldn’t have learned anything. They’re just going to hand out predicted grades but I don’t really care what grade I get, I just want proper tuition and practise. It’s garbage. Noone speaks out because they have too much to lose, or they are full on true believers. That’s how the cancer spreads, in part.

    • Chafed

How long until your fellow countrymen take a lesson from what’s happening in Italy?

      • limey

I started a long reply about the differences between Italy and the UK but in short, a long time if never.

  28. The Late P Brooks

So the guy arrested (really detained, I imagine) with the pistol was just trying to get to his job and forgot that his gun was in his car and completely cooperated with law enforcement. I am sure CNN has updated its reporting on this.

    • Urthona

      Really unsurprising.

      • Rebel Scum

Charged with carrying an unregistered (lol…) firearm and unregistered (*sigh*) ammunition. IOW the gov’t is going to fuck him regardless of the situation.

    • trshmnstr the terrible

I was terrified of that happening on the days that I had to go into DC. Not that I had a habit of leaving weapons in my car unattended, but still.

  30. DEG

    Middle age is blast.

    Heh.

Current weight is 279.8 lbs @ 27.7% bodyfat. Down 0.8 lbs from last week, all fat, no lean mass.

I talked with the trainer I work with about deadlifting and squatting. I think I might have pushed the herniation up against the nerve the last time I deadlifted based on how my hamstring felt. There was no pain, but an odd sensation like a knot forming and disappearing while I deadlifted. For the next couple of weeks, I’m going to rearrange the days I work out so that the days I work with him are lower body days. He wants to watch my squat and deadlift to see if I’m slacking off a bit on form.

Upper body work is going well.

I made it to the gym six days last week, four days of weights and two of conditioning. Despite what happened last week while deadlifting, I was able to use the Airdyne bike and battle ropes without aggravating my herniation, which I was not able to do a few months ago.

    • Lazer

      That was cute. Thanks

        Yes! Thanks, Tulip!

Got the pressure washer running again and washed most of one side of the house. Going to mount the new telephone and fiber boxes there so wanted to get the green stuff off before it trapped underneath. Realized I really need an extension on the sprayer wand, ladders are for chumps. And more siding soap though I think it’s more psychological than actually cleaning vs pressure spray alone.

  33. The Late P Brooks

Somebody tell Mojeaux she can look now.

  34. Rebel Scum

    I have an alibi.

Authorities are asking for the public’s help finding an armored combat vehicle stolen from a National Guard facility in Bell on Friday.

A $120,000 militarized High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle — commonly known as a Humvee — was stolen at approximately 8:15 a.m. from the National Guard Armory, the FBI’s Los Angeles office said in a news release Saturday.

The agency announced that it is offering a reward up to $10,000 for information leading to the vehicle’s location.

    • Count Potato

      Only $120K?

    • Gustave Lytton

      armored combat vehicle

      Hah!

I’d start with checking repair facilities.

  35. Mojeaux

Hey eg310, Thanks for the Christmas Stuff playlist. I enjoyed it quite a bit over the holidays. Hope the calf is holding up for you.

      • egould310

Hey. A little late to respond here. Glad you liked the Christmas playlist. I’m still adding stuff this week.

The calf is good. I thank you for your advice, and think about it daily. I’ve been stretching way more. Really stretching before and after runs.

Trying to get a couple things going better in the new year

    1. Food. Gotta stop spending so much and eating so much takeout and delivery. Took a couple hours this afternoon and prepped a batch of Chipotle style burrito bowls. Chicken, black beans, rice, peppers and onions. Also need to lay off on the sweets, once I start eating it I can’t stop, its terrible. It becomes an every day thing. Holidays obviously are a big problem for that. Also just general amount of food eaten, I’m really gobbling down way too much considering how sedentary I am. Need to actually eat only when I’m hungry, instead of eating because it’s time to eat.

    2. Drinking. Took two weeks off at XMas and drank a bunch on vacation. So far I’m just limiting myself to one drink a night in 2021, which is good. Making sure its hard liquor too, instead of one of my high calorie craft beers. Although theres several 100 calorie IPAs out there now. Not quite hard seltzer season.

    3. Sleep. Need to get better about getting to bed at night, and also getting off the screens and reading a paper book or doing something else without light beaming into my eyes.

    • Count Potato

Do you wear glasses? I found computer lenses helped.

      • DEG

I have three pairs of glasses now. Distance, computer, and reading. It helps.

    • Rebel Scum

Food. Gotta stop spending so much and eating so much takeout and delivery.

///Metoo. Been spending more on such things, including buying food I don’t need since I have more money available due to the halt on student loan payment. I should probably still be chipping away at it, but given the political situation . . . I am saving* most of it but still spending too much on things as mentioned.

*And that is likely pointless as the gov’t seems intent on inflating the currency into oblivion.

Son just came home with a BK Impossible Burger…never had one, It was kind of dry and had a slight after-taste all by itself, could use some salt. Pickle and mayo overpower the “flavor” in the sandwich. Fed a piece to the dog, who dropped it, smelled it and then ate it. $7 with tax. In sum, meh…but expensive.

    • CPRM

The one I tried tasted like burnt plastic. Morning Star burgers are at least edible.

Getting in the zone to write the final episode of this iteration of the Hat and the Hair cartoon. I’ve got a plan for what comes next and I know SF does as well on his end, though we will be diverging more than we have in the past.

The local disk golf course isn’t very left hand friendly. Holes 1-3 are placed decreasing distances to the left of a ravine with a creek at the bottom. Hole 3 finally bit me due to a moderately conservative throw rolling about 15 feet to the right, landing in a foot and a half of water.

Since I was just playing scramble rules with the 3 year old , we called it quits after spending 20 minutes digging the disk out of the creekbed.
