It say here you’re 27, but that’s impossible. It looks like you could be 45!

  2. Hank

Vegetables ain’t food, it’s what food eats!

God Bless America and the major food groups – beer, hamburgers, fried chicken and…uh…beer!

    [belch]

    • TARDis

My grilled zucchini, squash, and corn on the cob say differently.

      • Hank

        Now you’ve got me hungry.

I actually like vegetables, but that would have gotten in the way of the “ugly American” persona I was going for right then.

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

You left out potatoes and Coke.

      • rhywun

        Or potatoes and vodka.

        *after-dinner belch*

      • blackjack

        My link covered the coke.

      • Nephilium

And he left out the beer!

    • Chafed

      Are you calling me food?

  3. UnCivilServant

Now, does switzy have a connection to the production of this channel?

  4. Aloysious

I’m not eating veggie burgers unless ZARDOZ orders me to eat grain filled veggie burgers.

    • Gustave Lytton

I liked the original gardenburgers before they went belly up and changed the recipe. Isn’t the same since.

  5. TARDis

You people are zooming, aren’t you? Admit it, you filthy zoomers. I wish I could join you, but I’m heading to the hot tub. I’m going to bathe in the juices and skin flakes of whomever rented this cabin last.

    • blackjack

As long as they use clean needles…

    • rhywun

I gave it up. Too demanding.

I like to multitask between glibbing, gaming, televisioning, etc. and zooming demands too much of my attention.

      • Chafed

So you are watching B5 tonight?

      • rhywun

I hope to. I skipped it last weekend.

I’m still only 9 episodes in and damn, it’s getting good.

      • Chafed

I won’t spoil anything for you. I’m really glad you are enjoying it. IMO, the last quarter of season 1 is where it really picks up. The following three seasons are glorious.

      • rhywun

Got my gaming itch out of the way (Skyrim – yes, complete noob there too) so that clears my schedule for some B5 soon.

      • Chafed

Just watched Soul Hunter with youngest daughter. She liked it. I may have raised her right.

  6. DEG

Impossible burger? I don’t know. But, I need to finish the latest installment of Too Local news. I’ll have this playing in the background.

‘Orale! I learned mine on the street!

“As the current president of the Association for Asian American Studies and as an ethnic studies and critical race studies professor who specializes in Asian American culture [etc]…

“…anti-Asian racism has the same source as anti-Black racism: white supremacy. So when a Black person attacks an Asian person, the encounter is fueled perhaps by racism, but very specifically by white supremacy. White supremacy does not require a white person to perpetuate it….

“White supremacy as the root of racism can be seen in the Latino man in Texas stabbing a Burmese family in March 2020…”

    • rhywun

      honk honk ?

    • Chafed

Now say it with a straight face.

    • Aloysious

      Jennifer Ho?

I’m way too mature and dignified to make the obvious joke.

  9. Chafed

Thanks for including us vegetarians Swissy.

    • Ted S.

How dare those evil righties point out my hypocrisy!

    • Stinky Wizzleteats

Rules are for the plebs, dickweed. You ought to know that.

      • The Gunslinger

I already got an email from our school superintendent that school will be remote for 2 weeks following Whitmer’s latest “request” for a 2 week pause. I am fed up.

  10. Timeloose

I’ve been listening to DMX all night bark at me.

A good rule of thumb depending on what you didn’t did.

It’s just one hit after another.

Yahoo Answers is shutting down on May 4th, 2021 (Eastern Time) and beginning April 20th, 2021 (Eastern Time) the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode. There will be no changes to other Yahoo properties or services, or your Yahoo account. You can find more information about the Yahoo Answers shutdown and how to download your data on this help page.

They took AIM down a couple years ago, now this? Is nothing sacred?

    • rhywun

Yahoo is a thing that still exists?

      • commodious spittoon

Now how will we know how babby is formed? What will happen to all the instain mother who kill their babbys?

Actually, and this is the level of my own retardation, I only found out about Yahoo Answers shutting down because I had to look up orale, which blackjack posted, and there’s a yahoo answer calling out all the filthy gringos like me who thought it’s spelled odale.

    • PudPaisley

You got good taste Slum. Thanks for the heads up on the new album. I stopped following them due to their dumb political comments.

I’ve been a huge fan since around 2011 or 2012 when the I Want You Back video hit youtube. I binged the band for like 10 hours the first night.

Bridget’s definitely one of my favorite modern bassists. Rachael’s the star, but Bridget’s the heart of the band. I really liked her first solo album Won’t Let You Down. Worth a listen if you haven’t heard it.

      • slumbrew

        Danke.

I know nothing about their politics – I assume they’re stupid, like most artists. I have hit the point where I really don’t want to know too much about artists I like. “Making Do” is clearly in that vein (“You’re working harder than ever now” – sure, that barista job is much harder than coal mining, farming or commercial fishing).

I fell in love with them later, with “Good Kisser” – my alarm clock is a local, independent station that plays things like that. “Hypotheticals” came on the other morning, which made me really happy

I’m just a fan and not a musician, but I just love a good bass line & Bridget brings it. I’ll check out her solo album. Thanks for that!

      • slumbrew

The only bad part: finding out they used to play down the street at the Lizard Lounge all the time.

A reminder I need to go see live music more often.

      • PudPaisley

Damn! Missed opportunity. I got to see them at a few real small shows, including a neighborhood festival in Madison that was free. They were still traveling in a van with the whole band and all their instruments. Rachael looked like she stepped right out of a 40’s or 50’s movie. They are WAY more polished now live.

I got to see Rachael do a few jazz shows too, including one in a really small opera house just outside Madison with about 80 people. It was the perfect place to hear all the nuances of her singing. I’m not much of a jazz fan, but I love hearing her sing it. I even have 3 of her jazz albums from earlier in her career.

I’m a live music junkie and single, so I get to a lot of shows excluding the last year.

      • PudPaisley

I’m a fanboi who got their email newsletter or whatever for several years, but I unsubscribed when the top thing on their page was about their carbon footprint offsets and the Making Do song came out. My explanation for unsubscribing was that I wanted to lower my carbon footprint.

I’m the same in mostly trying to ignore a musician’s politics. I hang around a bunch of musicians, many who are hippies, so I’m pretty good at ignoring or overlooking their dumb political comments.

Man, it’s dead here tonight. Time for bed anyways. I have a big killing day ahead tomorrow. Gonna abort a few million crabgrass and dandelion seeds in the morning.

      • slumbrew

Most everyone else is Zooming, I suspect.

I’m hitting the rack as well. Good luck with your planned vegetal genocide.

    • Sean

      I, too, dig that tune.

  13. grrizzly

PSA: replays of AFL games are available for free on https://www.afl.com.au/video. Only 12-16 hours later. So, it works really well for the US audience.

    • rhywun

Sigh. I really just want to be able to watch them live on my TV or DVR them again. I don’t see a way or I’m not set up to stream these to my TV.

      • grrizzly

The only option to watch it live is to subscribe to https://www.watchafl.com.au, not cheap and not convenient: you’d have to stream it from your phone to TV thru Chromecast.

I connect an HDMI cable to my laptop to watch the games on TV.

  14. Chafed

I’m an hour and a half into Zach Snyder’s Justice League. Holy shit this is different from what was released.

  15. Festus

Mornin’ Glibbies! Both Lake Street and the Surfers are on my list. I skipped the afternoon links so I’m bright-eyed and bushy tailed! Going right back there of course.

    • hayeksplosives

      Mornin. Festus and Tres!

I’m just an idiot over-thinking glibbie who would actually be happy and willing to zoom some more this Saturday Morn, if others are willing.

      If not, Happy Caturday, everyone!

      • hayeksplosives

also, i have no idea how to create a zoom.

      • Tres Cool

        whaddup pimp-juice?

        How YOU doin’ ?

      • hayeksplosives

How YOU doin’? No Tall Cans here, just a nice lovely vicodin!

        Mmm. Breakfast of champions.

      • Sean

Wait, I thought the breakfast of champions was coffee and Adderrall?

      • TARDis

I’m more of a coffee and Colace kind of guy myself.

    • Sean

      Happy morn.

  16. Tres Cool

    sup’ fam?

    yo whats goody ?

    • Tres Cool

Im not sure why, but that Lake Street Dive song immediately made me think of Basia.

      • Festus

I love that fucken tune! First heard it whilst on a junket with retards to Jasper. Actual retards.

      • TARDis

Mornin’ Tres, I used to have that CD. I may still have it somewhere. I;ll check out Lake Street later.

Not listening to any tunes until the sun comes up. Just enjoying the sounds of nature with my coffee for now. This is what happens when I pass out early.

      • Festus

Passing out early just kick-starts the mornin’ drinkin’!

  17. TARDis

What? No Q-NSFW links??? I am disappoint.

  18. Festus

So perusing my collective agreement, it seems to be against union rules for me to work alone after midnight. Eight years on and I’ve never had go-go dancers or even a running commentary. I feel violated!

    • TARDis

So you are not enjoying the white supremacy you say? Mornin’ Fes!

      • Festus

Mornin’ Tardy! Little wonder that the Corp gives me such latitude. I could sue them to kingdom come if I was injured on the job. I have called one guy an asshole before and am generally very prickly with the overseers but I do my job well. I’m apparently loved by my clients and train newbies well. They’re probably stuck with me until I stroke out with a broom in my hands.

      • TARDis

Cool, you have the same retirement plan as me.

        *clutches chest and keels over*

“Lookit me! I’m retiring, I’m retiring!” Thump!

      • Festus

Yup. Gives me a reason to get up at the crack of evening. I know it’s less than what was planned for me but it all just kinda shook out this way. I have a job, we have a home and our own vehicles, we never want for any basics and the people that I work with treat me with respect. I can drink beer and smoke ciggies to my heart’s content, my pets are still ambling about, I’ve never done serious harm to anyone else and it all might end tomorrow. It ain’t so bad.

      • TARDis

Good attitude to have. I must laugh at my first world problems sometimes. Like right now. I’m enjoying the quiet from the waterpark from across the river. We knew the park was there when we rented the cabin we are in, but it’s closed so no big deal, right? Hello maintenance! Two days of pressure washing, then yesterday was all day cutting and welding the iron fence. Solution: noise cancelling headphones.

      • Cy Esquire

I see you are a fellow maker of lemonade! Good on you sir.

    • hayeksplosives

Does a red stapler count as companionship?

      • TARDis

Depends, have you given it a name/gender? Good morning, HE. How are you and yours today.

      • Festus

I’ve more of a broom/mop head fetish but I suppose there might be some crossover. Hope Hubby is feeling better, HE!

      • Toxteth O'Grady

        No, but married* squirrels do.

*merry? I heard it was married.

    • Toxteth O'Grady

Like discovering a racial covenant on your property (well, I assume not applicable to you, Festus).

HE hubby is very handsome even hospitalized.

  19. ruodberht

    Water main break so we have no water rn. So many things I need that water for ;_;

    • Sean

Water is a human right! No water, no peace!!

    • Festus

Gah! Hopefully on city property, at least?

    • Festus

I’ve seen the one where he sings it in a Pub!

      • Festus

Remember Pubs? Where people used to gather, drink, show their teeth and breath on each other? It was in the before times, in the long, long ago…

      • Sean

Oh contraire, now “legal” again in PA. No longer are the food requirements tied to them.

      • Festus

We’ve regressed. Ontario is in lock-down and certain parts of Quebec. B.C. shut down the hospitality industry again.

    • Cy Esquire

      Site filter 🙁

      But i found this gem:

      https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/boston-hospital-set-to-offer-preferential-care-based-on-race

““Offering preferential care based on race or ethnicity may elicit legal challenges from our system of colorblind law … We encourage other institutions to proceed confidently on behalf of equity and racial justice, with backing provided by recent White House executive orders,” the authors explain in a reference to recent executive orders signed by President Joe Biden.

Critical race theory, the belief that the United States is a fundamentally racist country, founding documents such as the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution are inherently racist, and that a person can be inherently racist based simply on skin color, has permeated public schools and corporations over the past several years resulting in a now rescinded executive order from former President Donald Trump.”

    • Festus

Those cuntes are playing with matches beside Dad’s garage where he keeps the gasoline.

      • Toxteth O'Grady

Or at least trashing m-/hotel rooms without leaving tips.

      • rhywun

It’s almost like they’re deliberating stirring the pot. Eventually they will get the response they’re looking for.

    • TARDis

Some white people need to die. That is all.

    • Festus

      Worst Yes song ever.

  20. Sean

    I’m low on gin. ?

    *adds to morning shopping list*

    • Festus

      Dial-a-Bottle is your friend, Friend!

    • Cy Esquire

Any particular way you drink it? I too am an occasional gin drinker. The tonic and lime is my usual go to when the gin bottle is out.

      • Sean

Deep pour, lil diet tonic, slice o lime, and two ice cubes.

  21. Timeloose

    Good morning!

I’m getting ready to get my battery in my bike and fire it up. Check the tires fill it with fresh gas and go for a ride before breakfast. I’ve been waiting all winter for a nice day like this.

Dreary and grey but no rai and mild temps. Prefect for a first ride.

    • Festus

      Bon voyage, Timeloose!

    • TARDis

      Enjoy your ride, Ford!
