“I can only encourage everyone how important exercise is, it’s a lifelong contract. Maybe not a panacea for everyone but the best time to exercise is before you need it.”

It looks like we have two slogans. It’s amazing what you folks discuss while I’m gone. Well, daddy’s home to supervise you this week.
I have noticed several threads over the past several weeks with people frustrated they hadn’t hit their goals or were struggling to make some progress. Some folks seem to feel they aren’t doing enough and never will.
I’m here to introduce to the slight edge. I mean The Slight Edge. I was introduced to this book years ago in a mastermind group. I can’t recommend it highly enough.
The basis premise is we all must start somewhere, and it doesn’t matter where you start. Keep doing what you are doing and do just a little bit more each time. Tiny, imperceptible improvements build on each other. You won’t notice you are making any progress until one day it becomes obvious… even to you.
The author has plenty of examples, maybe too many examples, from different facets of life. The philosophy applies to anything you do. But this isn’t philosophy class, so I’ll stick to fitness. Think about the method for a moment. Doing one more rep, running an extra 50 feet, or jumping rope for 10 additional seconds isn’t much. Doing it 5 days in a row isn’t going to give you any meaningful improvement. But in 5 weeks, you added 2 additional sets, you ran an extra quarter mile, or added over 4 minutes of jumping. That’s for every workout! Your results compound over time.
Now see it 10 weeks out. And 25 weeks out. And so on. You are one impressive son of a bitch.
If we’re being honest, success breeds success. You can stick to incremental improvements but in all likelihood, you are going to have some leaps forward (but not a Great Leap Forward IFYKWIMAITYD). In a surprisingly short time, you will look back in amazement noticing where you started and how far you’ve come.

The jig is up in California. Our mask mandate ends, for the most part, on June 15th. Newsom must be feeling the heat. Good riddance. I wonder if there will be mask burning parties.
This week’s music is dedicated to Q. Last week he was kind enough to not only post GlibFit worthy photos during GlibFit, but he was also kind enough to post GlibFit worthy NSFW photos during Glibs After Dark™.
I’m very much tempted to do a backyard burn of the masks, but I fear that some places may still require them.
Resistance training is back in the rotation, hit a new low weight (and body fat percentage) the past week, and hope to continue that trend going forward. I’m almost down to where I was before the lockdowns all started.
?
/hides the empty cans from last night and today
I still have my bandanna handy because of a few places in Nashua that I do business with.
At my gym, things have changed a little bit. Some front desk staff have stopped caring about masks and won’t say anything if you are in the lobby without a mask.
Congratulations on the new low body weight!
I wanted to get a four mile walk in early this morning. Vaguely remembered that a walk to a specific spot had previously bee measured as two miles. So naturally, I figured a round trip would be my four miles.
Got back, and everything felt off. Not enough exertion. Checked the distance. It was only .8 miles there, so 1.6 miles round trip. I took another walk later, but am only at 3.4 miles today.
Yeah, I’ve run into that issue with a couple of bike rides. There’s also the discrepancy between the tracking app used. I settled on RideWithGPS as it seemed to match the closest to other stat trackers.
This was an issue with my memory.
I’m sure you already know about it, but the distance measuring feature on Google Maps is quite handy for that sort of thing.
That’s what I used both times.
The problem was I remembered a rough estimate of the round trip as a rough estimate of the one-way distance.
Those rounding errors… 😉
You’re moving. That’s good.
Seconded. Great job!
I need to get back on the Glibfit bandwagon. The past few months have been out of control, and I’ve put on 25 lbs. But I’ve finally finished the coursework component of my PhD. I’ve been spending an hour+ every morning before work doing school and now can shift to working out instead on the rowing machine and bike. Free weights too once I drop some of this weight. Looking forward to it and getting my life back.
Good plan. Tell us how it goes.
Congratulations!
Good!
Mazel tov! Substitute “PhD dissertation” as appropriate.
And eventually…
Fuck yeah. Enjoy the change.
I’ve been going backwards for a few weeks, but I think I’ve rediscovered my motivation.
What helped you rediscover it?
80’s inspirational rock, Imma guess.
Dog getting better and knowing we’re going back to the office.
Kick some ass, Tulip!
It’s good that you rediscovered your motivation.
“
StellaTulip got her groove back!I’ve added weights to my nighttime workouts and reps to my push-ups.
Up to 12-15 push-ups per set with the goal of 50 per night.
Good job.
Good.
This was an issue with my memory.
Radius vs diameter?
No, that’s an issue with my honesty. 8^>
Girth.
Well, I’ve never seen this before. A local quarry dropped off a sample bag of “large pebbles.” Next time I need pebbles, I’ll be sure to keep them in mind.
In These Troubled Times™, businesses are concocting new and ever-more-creative ways of drumming up sales.
Everybody must get some!
what quarry? and how big is a “large” pebble?
. . . how big is a “large” pebble?
A true gentleman would never ask such questions.
I’m a cad. I thought all y’all know that
A small sling stone size. About 1.5″ x 1″ x 0.5″.
How heavy?
Not very. There were only three large pebbles in the bag. I’m guessing just to give me an idea of the variety of pebbles on offer.
Are they quality pebbles?
I’m no geologist, but they do seem high quality. I’ve noticed that this area has nice rocks
Well, we do use them for substitute brains from time to time.
Me neither, but I like to rock!
I knew what it was before I clicked it.
I’m currently in a quarry.
Bought a dumptruck to haul crushed pebbles home two weeks ago.

Quality pebbles
Heh, I think I just linked that for GT the other day.
Cali’s mask mandate ends 6/15, but at work we’re controlled by the “Weekend at Bernie’s” stunt double and he says we have to wear the fucking face panties until 9/13. It’s probably because nobody’s trying to recall the senile old fuck.
You mean, fed employees are “exempt” from Newsom’s ending of the mask decree?
No, employees who work on federally controlled properties, like airports. It’s a no-shit federal crime to be at the airport without a mask.
Let the record state that Hayeksplosives rolled her eyes upon reading this reply.
Tell me. I walked up the cops and confessed, when it first happened. He just laughed.
You found an airport cop who’s not uptight? Good news!
I saw Die Hard 2. I think blackjack is making it up.
Well, in fairness, I do fix all of their cars.
Yep. No end in sight for me to go to work and follow the science, but instead follow the decrees of Buttigeg and Biden. I am to arsed to look up his name.
I do have some new training I have to take about “safely entering a Federal facility…” Ill tackle that last minute.
The phrase “the jig is up” always reminds me of this (see 2:55): https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=ZiKb7PyL884
Ah crap, hang on. Here’s some hold music. “There was a little Spanish flea…”
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=iCmwuat0ZSw
I associate it with Styx “Renegade”.
Damm!
The jig is up, I’m going down!

Well, if you want to slow it down.
A local quarry dropped off a sample bag of “large pebbles.”
Driveway stone? Landscaping?
Landscaping, I’d guess. They’re rounded, like river rocks. Surely they haven’t been tumbled.
*pulls off Chafed’s mask*
*gasp*
“It was SP the entire time!”
Lol. It took me a moment.
Misattribution occurs. Hilarity ensues.
And I woulda gotten away with it if it wasn’t for you darn Glibs!
Chafed or SP, Thanks for this edition and greetings from NOCal. Beautiful hiking weather… still snakey ( 2 rattlers, today). We are officially in drought…it’s going to be a long fire season. Gavi will have to airlift more money to distract for fires and recall. For those interested in news aggregator for Cali, I found PressCalifornia..it’s not too bad….
G-fit update: Sleep was very good. Food was very proteinii and lower carb levels are paying off. Hike mileage was off at 29 miles. Wim Hoff/meditative “ancient man” techniques; Did a couple times. Weight loss of 1# to 173.
Goals: Met goal weight top range max (175). Still not dead from Covid…
My wife has been doing 2 fasteses per week..so I am fasting with her, since I am too lazy to cook for myself. She is down 11# in 3 weeks and hit her goal decade at 130s. Trying to not eat anything after 4 pm under the theory that eating late in the day when metabolism slows is not optimum for weight loss and control. Another benefit to eating earlier, it has helped my sleep. No interruptions to go to the bathroom.
Your mention of the Slight Edge, made me think of my dad. He would always emphasize giving that extra 5-10%. When I was young, it would piss me off when he always said..”you can do better..just give another 5%” or something along those lines. In looking back, I guess that was his way of saying don’t ever be too satisfied…I miss him.
De todos modos, ¡tenga una gran semana y sáltese una comida o tres!
SP gets credit for creating the site, maintaining it, and probably a dozen more important things. I wrote the article.
It’s good that you and your wife are hitting your weight goals.
I think I have found what it takes for me to maintain a weight range. It probably doesn’t work for everyone…hell, it doesn’t work for most of my family. We all do some variations of eating.
I follow a regime completely contrary to government guidance and recommendation. When I am hungry, I crave fat and that satiates me for the rest of the day.
I am a big believer in timing of meals. I think you only need to eat 1 meal per day, maybe a snack all before 4 pm… you don’t even need to count calories since you are eating 2/3 less times while in a high metabolic state.
The hard part is getting adapted to eating less frequently. If you are not fat adapted, it is really hard because of the insulin crash after eating, which triggers a hunger pangs.
I suspect the thinner one is, the less hungry one is.
I don’t get hungry like I used to. I remember hiking or biking some distance and then needing a power bar and water to finish because I had bonked. Now, I try to hike or work out in a fasted state and eat when I am done. I don’t carry extra water anymore either.
FWIW, I’ve been doing my exercise (which I do in the morning) in a fastest state for about six weeks now. My strava has details.
Yes, I ride my bike 100 miles (only 71 today though) w/o any calories between when I get up that morning and when I finish the ride. I’m definitely a lot slower doing it this way, but… when I do add calories and caffeine, it’s like jet fuel. I know, because I tested it last weekend.
My next test will come Saturday when I run the Jemez Mountain Trail 50 miler. I’ll be consuming calories and caffeine and I suspect I’ll do better than ever… time will tell.
deadhead ..you are other level compared to me. If I remember, you are also a vegetarian too?..I guess you are keto and fuel with fat so the conversion of fat to glycogen and water can take you a long way and the added stimulant of caffeine would really boost your fuel. Have you ever tried nicotine in combination with the caffeine. It might be like rocket fuel for you! Ha…
I was a “pizzatarian” (vegetarian with a poor diet which had a lot of cheese in it; in fact, I didn’t like vegetables) for about 30 years. I went vegan in 2012 and mostly eat whole foods. Like many vegan endurance athletes, I think I recover faster as a vegan than I did previously, but I could be imagining it. OTOH, I do seem to recover fairly quickly based on what I do both day-to-day and in the busy (fucking around) event-to-event part of my training.
I had been planning on exploring fat-burning-adaptations for a while, but sort of fell into it accidentally about a month and a half ago and am super happy with my perceived results. Again, I might just be kidding myself, but I do have some events on the horizon that will test that.
Nope, I’m a firm believer in 3 meals a day. Unless we’re on vacation, then it’s a big breakfast and dinner.
I eat three meals a day with some snacks.
I’m careful about what I eat. I’ve been tracking meals and calories.
Portion sizes are important*.
*Saturday is not going to count.
Yes.
If the referendum goes well, I’m going out for a celebration Wednesday night. Portion sizes won’t count on that day either.
That’s funny. When we vacation, we got in the habit of making lunch the biggest meal and staying in for dinner. I think it had to do with me being cheap since lunch is generally cheaper. I got some big eaters and drinkers for sons. They can run up quite the food and bar tab.

Stay tuned for a special GlibFit edition of Glibs After Dark!
I’m looking forward to it.
I’m scared and going to watch a nice chick flick with wifey instead.
Good. And no face diapers!
Burning the masks would be preferable to having all those miles of elastic in landfills or littered over the countryside strangling wildlife.
They’ve already found huge elastic mask tangles floating around off the coasts. Not good.
We’re going to have to bring back plastic straws so that the sea turtles can use them to breathe through the mask rafts.
^^^Nazi confirmed.
There was a meme going around early in the pandemic that said something like “Just wait until they find a sea turtle strangled by a mask” or somesuch.
I got news for the “America has wrought more evil in the world than any other country in history” crowd: it’s not the US that dumps its garbage into the ocean.
Tall poppy syndrome.
I’m Tall Poppie…
https://sokodirectory.com/2019/10/top-10-countries-causing-the-most-ocean-pollution/
Can we all name in which continents those countries are located?
PS: Greens are also responsible largely for that by destroying cheap sources of energy which would allow those countries to develop and stop polluting so much.
Funny how India is not on that list at all. A little surprised that there are no Latin American countries as well but not as much as missing India.
Maybe Bangladesh accounts for that? It is the outlet for both the Ganges and the Brahmaputra so a lot of shit from India would be carried down into Bangladesh.
Ahh! That would explain it.
I have to wonder, however, how much of that waste is material that we “recycle” but really is just shipped to those countries to be dumped.
All of it…
Exactly this.
*hides box of plastic straws*
Street value!!
When the plastic straw ban took effect, restaurants scrambled to find non plastic alternatives. My personal favorite were the places that laid in supplies of cardboard straws that were individually wrapped in plastic.
Bucatini?
At least they’re still available to the consumer. I have some sturdy acrylic ones too.
(er, plastic straws in supermarkets, that is)
I remember some of the replacement straws causing problems.
I remember paper straws; they did not suck in the functional sense.
As I mentioned last evening, I got in some treadmill time yesterday – 45 minutes at 3 mph for a whopping 2.25 miles – which I need to do more regularly between my twice-weekly trips to the Y. A little later, I’m going to see if I can go for an hour at the same speed. Honestly, the most frustrating thing about walking on the treadmill is that my tablet’s touchscreen isn’t very responsive, and typing while treading is a PITA.
Got some more weed-whacking done today, so…arms! The line seemed to be feeding better, but the thing needs fresh batteries – the two I have that I rotate in and out of the charger just don’t seem to hold a charge for very long. Got a new pair on order. Also tried out the new carpet cleaner, so…more arm work! Not all stains came out, but we really just need new carpet at some point. The machine isn’t difficult to use, but the tank capacity is pretty small. The upside of that is that it’s not so heavy that I hate using it. If I hate using an appliance, I usually won’t. (Of course, if I don’t mind using an appliance, I STILL may not use it…)
You know…I am not a fan of treadmills…the problem is a complete/total repetition of motion and the tendency to use he hand rails, which causes people to lean forward and that puts a super strain on your knees.
IMO it is far better to just get out for a walk with a pedometer. Foot falls are different, even on a side walk, better core and balance. I have seen too many repetitive injuries from treadmills and ellipticals.
I would also not worry about speed. It is all work; no matter… If it takes longer because you are moving slower that is not a big deal if you cover the distance…by going slower you are just flattening the curve..and look how that worked out!
Completely agree. Get outside if can.
Good!
I’m glad you (mostly) solved your weed whacker problem.
I took a drive up to Grand Haven with my daughter today and we walked out to the lighthouse. Happy to report almost nobody was wearing a mask.
I’m not sure what I will find at work tomorrow. I stopped wearing a mask at work several weeks ago. I’m the only person moving around the office without a mask. On Friday, after the CDC mask guidance changed we got an email reminding us that MIOSHA’s recommendation had not changed and we still need to wear masks. I’m worried they are going to start asking who has been vaccinated. I’m still not going to wear a mask tomorrow though.
The jig is up in California. Our mask mandate ends, for the most part, on June 15th. Newsom must be feeling the heat. Good riddance. I wonder if there will be mask burning parties.
Fuck Newsom. Figuratively not literally. I want to see him get the boot from office.
On this note – PA Glibs – The primary is Tuesday. Two constitutional amendments related to the Governor’s state of emergency powers are up for a vote. PA has a closed primary system but anyone can vote on referendums. Vote yes on both constitutional amendments.
Weight is 264.2 lbs at 26.0% bodyfat.
When I was at the gym on Friday, I was working on shoulders and arms. I started feeling pain in my forearms. The trainer I work with had some ideas around foam rolling my forearms, which helped for a while. Pain shot down my arms near the end of my work out, and I called it there.
Saturday I had no problems with my forearms. I mowed the lawn and did a little light yard work.
This afternoon I spent the afternoon spreading mulch. I finished the existing flower beds. I have a bed to expand, and the remaining mulch I’ll use on that bed. As I neared the end of mulching the existing beds my forearms started acting up again. They’re calming down.
We’ll see what happens tomorrow at the gym. It’s chest and upper back day tomorrow.
“I started feeling pain in my forearms”
Lay off PornHub for a few days.
I thought that only caused wrist pain and hairy palms?
This might come as a shock… but I have been abstaining from PornHub. Too much to do, and when I procrastinate, I find myself for some reason here.
Gasp! It’s ok, there hasn’t been any additional “special content” IYKWIMAITYD.
So you’re jerking off to *us*?
That’s for me to know and you to fantasize about.
You can do both, Grasshopper, for you are young and agile.

Hmm. I lost 16.5lbs in a combo of walking and not drinking any beer.
I’m still right there, although took a break from walking and a break from not drinking any beer.
Global warming has stopped working, I demand a refund! . I’m continuing my weekend grilling spree, but I’ve pushed my grill back under the overhang because we’re having some chilly light rain.
That 16.5 lbs took near a month. It sounds good, but it belies the fact that I really still need to lose near 40 lbs. I feel this mostly in my knees. Running is painful, so I stopped to prevent any injury, and sometimes even getting back up from a squatting position is painful.
Excess fat is bad for you, folks. I don’t give a fuck what the woke media say, they need to shut their woke fat luddite faces up.
Half a pound a day is good progress!
Hmm. I lost 16.5lbs in a combo of walking and not drinking any beer.
This is good progress.
Good work Hyperion. I realize you haven’t hit your goal weight but give yourself credit for your progress.
I have to admit..I miss beer. I wish there was some way to be able to drink copious amounts of it and not gain weight. Based on my theories, you could only do your beer drinking after you eat 4 eggs, half pound of bacon in the morning. Which is not conducive to getting much done the rest of the day. Maybe, I can do that when I retire!
It is possible as long as you can burn off more calories than you’re adding. A time consuming and frustrating endeavor which you eventually realize is not feasible.
Yep, You can’t out train the beerstein.
The path of least resistance has been less resisted…
/looks over at deadhead
In general, you can’t outrun/cycle/swim your fork.
My fork is not the problem. Beer bottles and Martini glass are the problem.
FWIW, I drink a bit, as do many ultramarathoners I know. However, I eat plants, so no eggs or bacon for me. For the last three years and change I’ve logged everything I’ve eaten and drank that has calories, including alcohol with estimated amount (in fl. oz.) and %ABV.
The biggest two issues with drinking for me are that it interferes with my sleep, unless I do it earlier in the day, but then it interferes with working. I admit my drinking can lead to me gaining weight due to drunken eating, a lower metabolism and poor sleep, but I (believe, but could be kidding myself) try to lessen that by day drinking at a time when I need to eat a bunch of calories anyway.
OTOH, there have been many periods in my life where I’ve given up alcohol for a few months at a time in order to (try to) reach my goals.
The pebbles in question. Adirondack pebbles, but I’m sure that’s just a marketing term considering the NYSDEC and the Adirondack club.

I could see needing them for landscaping.
Thanks Chafed/SP
Before my latest ‘challenge’ a couple months ago I was doing the Treadmill Waltz almost every day, 5-6 times a week and then some bench work afterwards.
In the hospital the dreaded therapists began to show up, to torture me, several times a day. After a week they began to scare me, telling me I was getting ready to leave their lovely spa.
Their observations and mine were a little different but they’re pros, right, while I was there for an R & R. Anyway they booted me out with an itemized handshake after 2 weeks and 2 days. I didn’t have a lot of confidence in my ability but once I got home I gained some independence, with the Missus asking if I needed help with this or that, I tried to mostly reject her help but at first it was necessary.
Now I can do most daily routine things alone. Last night I cut the toenails on my regressive side. Tough trying to bend over and reach down so far but the next time will be easier. I need the walker and wheelchair, until I see the doc in three more weeks. I am concerned that 1) He may do a Goodman on me and take away my wheelchair or 2) I may have some anxiety without the fall back of the aux equipment.
In either case, I will need to learn to walk again and gain some weight/muscle. For now I’ll stick with my therapy and remember the doc’s last words. “Don’t do anything stupid like falling down. We’d have to start all over again, only with surgery”
I miss my treadmill and now with nice weather just being outside is a goal.
Hang in there. I’m certain you’ll pull through.

Tired. Portable ACs have proven to fall to the massive amounts of dog hair and just dont work in the trailer so…cut a hole and put in a window unit.
Requires me to rework the whole shelving unit but this unit took the trailer from 85 inside to 68 in no time flat.
Aw. My mom uses one of your peers in a neighboring state; she tips well.
Around here no one is caring or asking vax status it seems. Lowes, the market, people just smiling and praising it.
So I expect the government to push the boot down again since people are happy.

Tried this the other day. Quite good. Gf had the peanut butter one, she liked hers too.
In “Too Local” news: A local school was locked down in a nearby small town due to a “active shooter” walking towards a high school.
The Active Shooter” was a 20 year old coming back from Turkey hunting and taking his single shot shot gun from his car to the house.
He walked past a woman on a bike and said hello as he walked from is car to his house. This woman was a school administrator in town to see a memorial at the local HS and was from Karenville. Karenville is a much more affluent but equally rural district.
She immediately went to the nearby police and reported “what she saw” and the police reacted reasonably based on her account.
It turned out the father of the 20yearold saw the commotion up his street and asked the local PD what happened.
The PO indicated that a woman in a bike reported a scary man in all camo walking towards the school with a assault rifle intent on harming people.
The father asked at what time the man was spotted, then indicated that his son just got back from Turkey hunting right at that time and walked from his truck to the house.
I know this town and open carrying a rifle is an everyday occurrence.
Unbelievable.
That woman is too stupid to live.
The woman who made the report should be required to take gun classes.
Such ignorance is inexcusable. Especially when it causes people to panic needlessly.
She also put a very kind and respectful kid in a potentially life threatening situation based on her own ignorance and fear.

How do we know she just isn’t a malicious evil person?
We don’t, but the evidence to the contrary is not very compelling.
Speaking of schools, got the ballot for the local school district, service district, and community college. Almost all of the candidates are “professional” office holders, people with insane backgrounds that should be kept far away from education, insiders who should be disbarred from running on account of the conflict of interest, and politically naive random joes that don’t realize the deck is stacked against them. I checked the final category so they’re guaranteed to lose in favor of the school board activist with a EdD and brags about racial equity achievements.
And voted against the tax increases from the various fire and special districts. Also guaranteed to pass.
God’s work.
My ballot too is usually, but not always, the inverse of results: hang in there.
Looks that way in my school district election too. The two incumbents are fairly solid. The two challengers (Dems) have those insane educational backgrounds and each is running “to improve equity and diversity in our public schools.”
Yeah, it’s that time. I tried to do research on the various candidates, but there was literally nothing online about any of them, so I circular filed it.
Thank god my kid is 26.
Chafed!
Thanks for the h/t, but I was quite taken with that statement. Fourscore is my hero (and mentor).
One of the first albums I ever bought with my own money was Aerosmith’s Live Bootleg. It was glorious! Drunken, raw and perfect. Lord of the Thighs was my favorite song from that record. So thanks!
My week was insane. I got my two-a-day exercise bouts in each day, but I couldn’t lift on Wednesday. Both my dogs’ health went sideways over the last week and I spent way more time at the vet than I care to.
This week is gonna be better. I can feel it.
Slight Edge looks really good. I’m just finishing another and I will read that next. I appreciate the recommendation!
Have a great week Glibfitters. Your peer pressure keeps me going!
Both my dogs’ health went sideways over the last week and I spent way more time at the vet than I care to.
Sorry, hopefully they get well soon.
Should one ask?
Thanks!
Two old dogs means many challenges. Older got a tick infection, younger has kidney disease and some other fun stuff.
Still worth it!
Yeah, tiring, isn’t it, and taxing to the memory.
Sorry your dogs and you have to deal with that Tundra. Hopefully this week is better for all of you.
Here’s a lighter Blueberry Cream Ale, local brewery of course,

Chafed, thanks for Slight Edge. Far more my style than Goggins.
I get that. I love both but easily understand how Goggins turns some people off.
A question:
My patio table has a glass top, which has broken.
I want to replace it with some material that I can cut myself.
It needs to be weather proof.
Any suggestions?
Well, what is your Mohs’ hardness?
No idea
Smartass….
Lexan over treated wood, 1/4 inch plate Steel, there are many options…..
Current top is 1/4 inch glass.
I remember using Lexan in a door panel but can’t remember who cut it. Doesn’t Lexan scratch easily or am I mis-remembering?
And the top is an oval. So I need to cut smooth curves.
The top being only 1/4 inch will limit what will have the strength and at the same time be easily cut.
Thin plywood with a colored epoxy pour would work. It would also cost more than anew table.
What is the diameter?
I think it is roughly 36 inches wide and 60 inches long.
How does she fit it in?
It just drops into place.
For a cheap fix you could get some Masonite paint and seal it well and it will last a year or two. You need to seal it from the elements or it will swell and rot.
You could try making a concrete table top.
or Fleet Farm sells 2′ x 4′ cutting boards
Maybe call these guys: https://acrilex.com/acriglas/acriglas-marble-granite/
They’ll even custom cut the pieces.
My face feels hot.
Any info on what the condition might be?
I don’t know? I just hope it isn’t contagious.
A lot of urgent cares are surely closed by now. But you’re conversant, that’s good.
Where’s Anacreon?!
I think the urgent care is still open, but not sure what they could do anyway. Plus I don’t feel up to driving, and definitely not bad enough for an ambulance.
Is there a nurse/PA telemed number you could call?
Again?
I forget where you are.
I just took my temp, said 98.4.
Take off your mask!
Got my second shot and I feel like I have the flu. Hopefully this passes soon.
Hail Mary, pray for us Glibbies.
On the bright side, if I milk this a little longer I won’t have to make dinner tonight.
Hopefully this passes soon.
Yes. I hope it does.
I hope you get over soon. I wonder if NSAIDs would help…dampen the immune response.
I saw a bunch of videos of people that became magnetized after the shot.. I thought about it and came to the conclusion that there is excess hemoglobin (iron) or edema in the area of the injection with enough for a small magnet to adhere.. OR the microchip is old school and has a lot of iron solder.
Lol
I’m down 15 pounds in 4 weeks by basically starving myself. Ortho doc says I HAVE to lose weight.
According to http://www.csgnetwork.com/caloriesmalecalc.html , a person of my height and sphericity requires 3800 calories per day to maintain. I have been only eating 2200 – 2400 calories per day.
Good that you’ve lost weight.
It sounds like you can eat a little more and still lose weight. That’s about four pounds a week. Eyeballing my numbers, I’ve been averaging a half pound a week. I’m usually hungry when I go to bed, but it’s not that bad.
Keep posting, Potato.
I feel hot, but I’m not coughing, or seem to have any trouble breathing. So if it’s covid, it doesn’t seem that bad.
This seems to be about your third day of this.
There must be someone within an hour or so who could help.
Second, started yesterday.
Who besides you looks after your parents in an emergency? Call them.
Are you taking any medications or supplements?
Any allergies?
How’s your appetite?
I’m so not going to have any ideas, but you might get better answers with more info.
Are there thyroid issues in your family?
Symptom Checker, sorry.
192.2 yesterday morning, up a lb from last week. Still on pace to reach my goal of 184.0 before I arrive in Colorado.
Half a stone? Easy!
In 1986, I went and saw Rush at the Forum. During this song, Geddy lee played a harmonica, his bass AND the keyboards simultaneously. It was astounding. The meek never did inherit the earth.
Was that the power windows tour? Between that and seeing REM in 89 I learned rock really could be boring.
/ducks while doning fireproof suit.
Way-way-wait! Are you equating Rush with R-E-FUCKING-M? No! The judges will not allow that. Everybody cries. sometimes, but NO, not this time!
