IFLA: The “Continuing from where We Left Off” Edition of the Horoscope for the Week of October 17

A repost, but to give context on how complete and dominating this victory was

Remember last week’s alignment of Saturn with Venus and MERCURY RETROGRADE that portended a massive ending?  Well poor Venus not only has to deal with that shit, but gets and additional alignment of the Sun with Jupiter retrograde.  It’s a really bad time to be in love.  Well, at least until Wednesday when this whole thing breaks apart.  Also then Jupiter goes station direct, thank the stars.  It’s been a while, but there should be an increase in inexplicable good moods and fewer jokes at your expense.  Thursday Mercury joins Jupiter in direct motion, so expect a surge in things making rather more sense than they have been.

My eight month old has her very own bitch.

Libra will benefit most from Mercury going direct of course, with Thursday being particularly lucky.  While Libra won’t have everything going for it, it will have almost everything.  Venus is at its greatest zodiacal distance from the sun being off in Sagittarius.  So good news love-wise for them, and also for those governed by Sagittarius (soldiers, prophets, teachers, precision sportspeople).  Honestly, if you’re a woman who falls into one of those categories that is also born under that sign life is going to be just great.  While soldiers get that benefit, sailors will also be having a pretty good time since Aquarius gets the Father/Son duo going direct (after Wednesday, at least).

Lily with one of her good friends, Freya

Libra:  The Hermit reversed – Concealment, disguise, policy, fear, unreasoned caution.

Scorpio:  The Lovers – Attraction, love, beauty, trials overcome.

Sagittarius:  Eight of Coins reversed – Voided ambition, vanity, cupidity, exaction, usury.  This card can also signify someone particularly clever plotting against you.

Capricorn:  Ten of Swords reversed – Advantage, profit, success, favor, but none of these are permanent; also power and authority.

Aquarius:  Three of Swords – Just ride it out.  Next week will probably be better.

Pisces:  Justice reversed – Law in all its departments, legal complications, bigotry, bias, excessive severity.

Aries:  Judgement reversed – Weakness, pusillanimity, simplicity, deliberation, decision, sentence.

Taurus:  Ace of Coins – Perfect contentment, felicity, ecstasy, speedy intelligence, gold.

Gemini:  Nine of Swords reversed – Imprisonment, suspicion, doubt, reasonable fear, shame.

Cancer:  Eight of Wands reversed – Jealousy, internal dispute, stingings of conscience, quarrels.

Leo:  Queen of Wands reversed – Good, economical, obliging, serviceable, opposition, jealousy, deceit, infidelity.

Virgo:  Four of Coins – The surety of possessions, cleaving to that which one has, gift, legacy, inheritance.

Mud mane? Don’t care. Am happy.

    Oh no, not that again.

We need more organic, free range immunity.

I got the vax as I was fairly ambivalent about it at the time (April) and was getting some family pressure from two of my siblings that just had kids and that we hadn’t all gotten together for a long time (I’m from a large fam). I also go into multiple peoples’ homes per day to work and didnt want to lie when asked if I had gotten it (even though that’s not a question I think should be asked, I get that I am in the bottom percentile of worriers about the Vid). After all the bullshit they have pulled in the meantime there is no way I am going to get any more shots. The only way we are going to get our freedoms back is exactly what you have been advocating with Ghandi like methods along with Irish Democracy, meaning throwing sand in the gears, foot dragging, and peaceful non compliance and resistance.

It’s like you don’t even support ramping up a police state the likes of which we haven’t seen before in order to keep track of all the mandates.

Taurus: Ace of Coins – Perfect contentment, felicity, ecstasy, speedy intelligence, gold.

We’ve had a lot of things go wrong in the last 2 weeks, butI kind of haven’t noticed. @grosspatzer had to point it out to me. So … contentment’s just fine. Not noticing bad things and rolling with it is a huge step forward emotionally. I credit my drug cocktail, and the very welcome end of our experience in home ownership.

Again, I dwell on joy vs happiness vs contentment.

What a cute pup. I’m glad she’s established herself as Queen!

I just wonder how NA has any time to write articles and comment let alone work; A significant fraction of his time must be allocated to giving doggie baths.

Yep, checks out. On the other hand, I’m 30 minutes into new Dune and as much as want to dislike it, I’m enjoying it.

    • KSuellington

Cool, I want to see that one. One of my favorite directors, Jodorowsky, was fired from that movie way back when. I enjoyed what Villenueve did with the filming of the new Blade Runner. I’d like to see it in a theatre as that is what that kind of flick demands.

      • l0b0t

I’m having trouble with the actors playing Paul and Chani, and Jason Momoa. The visuals are beautiful, props, costumes, and sets are fantastic. Liet Kynes is recast as a young black lady with dreadlocks for some reason. So far, so good.

I’m just gonna ignore all the starry crap and celebrate that I escaped California.

Monday the moving truck arrives and we can get out of the hotel that evening!

Glad we found it though; has an attached bar and restaurant.

Porterhouses came out great. Om nom nom.

Gotta do bbq chicken and burgers on the grill later and some veggies for my weekly meal prep.

  17. Sean

Been watching Wonder Woman reruns most of today. Glorious late 70s tv.

    • KSuellington

I’ve been on a Magnum and Miami Vice kick over the last months. I ended up just finding the entire runs of both on DVD set so I could enjoy them at will. I’d say the gloriousness of the 70’s extended into the 80’s.

      • KSuellington

Part of the awesomeness of Vice was the killer music of Jan Hammer and all the guests. This is a sweet ass cover of one of Hammer’s great instrumentals that I posted a couple weeks back. Love these guys.

Once again we’re left with “conspiracy theories” that seem to provide a better explanation of why countries around the world are hell-bent on destroying the world economy than the official reasons given.

      • Sean

It’s crazy. Some areas have gone so far down the rabbit hole, I don’t know they’ll ever recover. Australia, Italy, France, Israel, etc.

“Frustration at the administration’s continuation of Trump-era immigration policies is bubbling over.”

So the reason we’re about to hit an all time record for illegal border crossings is because he’s continuing policies that reduced border crossings drastically?

    I haz confuze.

This. I have question marks above my head. They’re streaming over in record numbers like an unstoppable tidal wave. What in the Seven Hells else do these leftists want?

I believe their standard reply is always a variation on “What have you got?”

    • rhywun

What in the Seven Hells else do these leftists want?

It’s spelled out across several thousand pages of the Democrats’ latest spending bill.

    • trshmnstr the terrible

What in the Seven Hells else do these leftists want?

The complete obliteration of western civilization and its erasure from history.

    • kbolino

You know the right are born political losers when they can’t even bother to give more than lip service to this issue. Trump showed them the way, they hated it for him, and now they are hoping that instead of actually standing for something, they can ride the Democrats’ unpopularity back into office. Every so-called conservative politician should be talking about and acting on nothing but immigration and trade from now to 2024 (at least). But they can’t even do that, because they like losing, and they like being the left’s waterboys instead.

  19. Mojeaux

I have to brag on XY. He is just taking this move and running with it. I almost think he’s enjoying himself.

    • Draw Me Like One of Your Tulpae, Jack

Awesome! It’s good to have willing help

    • rhywun

We moved fairly often in my youth, never far, and I always enjoyed it. New digs, new streets, whatever. Excitement!

      • rhywun

PS. I’ve lived in my current apartment longer than any single address in my life and I love it. Moving around is less exciting when you’re on your own.

      • Mojeaux

Word. I’ve moved on my own before, but I was a lot younger.

My 2 brothers and I moved almost the entirety of my family’s house when I was 18. First time I’d ever moved. Mom packed. Dad was at work. We had a big ginormous passenger van with the seats taken out, and I could drive, so we kids did that. It was enjoyable. I was in charge of the move, basically.

So between my surgery and my husband’s bad knee and perpetual exhaustion (he doesn’t sleep), XY has taken over, as he tries to do almost everything. This time, I don’t mind. He asked me to rent a van, so I did. Makes his work easier.
